FAIRY CHAIR * Transform an old wood Chair
An old wood chair from a Good Will or Garage sell, can transform into a Garden highlight! My Fairy Chair is planted with tulips in the Spring, and cascades with herbs and flowers of the fairy folk in the summer. Here is how I created a Fairy Chair . A suggested list of ancient flowers and herbs is included. {To stand the forces of wind, I stake each of the chair legs into the ground with garden re-rod spikes.} To protect the wood I paint a thin layer of wood protector on it every year or two.}
MAKING A FAIRY CHAIR GARDEN
- 1 OLD WOODEN CHAIR FROM GOOD WILL
- TAKE THE SEAT OUT
- With chicken wire, create a pouch loose & deep enough to hold 8”dirt
- Staple wire in place of seat..
- Line wire 2” thick with wet Sphagnum Moss.
- Fill in the pouch with Miracle Grow Potting Soil
- Fill pouch until dirt is level with chair

Lavender – Fairies use the lavender to hang their clothes to dry
Poppies – To induce fairy dreams
Primrose – To attract love – but don’t let it die as it offends the wee ones.

Plant Annuals with Perennials to fill in the spaces when Perennials fade {middle to late summer}. Your fairy chair will have a fresh new look.
