HOW TO FEED A DOG WITH CANCER
Did you know that feeding your dog a high diet of carbohydrates makes Cancer grow much faster? The cancer cells actually gain energy by using the sugars called glucose. So what is the best way to feed a dog with cancer? Here is what I have found on the web.
First of all cut back on the dry dog food. Starve the Cancer cells of their rapid growth by feeding less starchy food to your sick dog. Cancer cells can not grow on fat very well.
Using anything with lots of omega-3 acids often is much more useful to your sick patient. If your pet is going through chemotherapy and radiation the digestion of fatty –acids decreases the amount of growth and future development of tumors.
OMEGA 3 FOODS YOU SHOULD YOUR DOG WITH CANCER
Flaxseed oils
Cold-water fish oils {salmon oil is excellent!}
Feed small amounts of top-quality protein, not large amounts.
{Too much protein feeds the cancer to grow faster.}
*WARNING* Safflower oil is not recommended for cancer
BOOST YOUR DOGS IMMUNE SYSTEM WITH 3 AMINO ACIDS
DURING CHEMOTHERAPY
Arginine: {maintains healthy immune system to fight cancer}
Glutamine: may decreases vomiting and diarrhea, protects the digestive system
Glycine: Important towards protecting the kidneys from chemotherapy side effects
of the chemotherapy drug glycine
