The Lady in the Car Mirror
The lady in the car mirror, looking back, was not me. She had more lines and blemishes. So serious! Like a color wheel that turns the stage pink to blue, her eyes went from sad to happy, crying to laughing. She did not look like a fashion model at all. I quick brushed my hair, straightened my eye brows and smiled. There. Better now. The woman was me again.
LEARN TO LOVE THE LADY IN THE MIRROR
Probably one of the most difficult things to do is to learn to love the lady in the mirror. We keep comparing ourselves! And worse, we get older and out grow the person we related our appearance to most. Whether we compare ourselves to an actress, a model, a TV talk host, or person we “used” to admire, we get older then that image. Our reality goes out of the color book image lines.
SHE IS PRECIOUS…..SHE IS YOU. NO ONE IS LIKE HER.
No one can know the kind of life you have had. You are unique! Remember this. How you walk, laugh and listen to people makes you the beautiful person you are. A bathroom of hair glaze and make up products can never fool the lady in the mirror. The lady in the mirror looks with “knowing” at you. She is your best friend and has been your whole life. You hide nothing from her. You can’t fool her or cover her up with skin care products. All she wants is your unconditional love.
Love the lady in the mirror. She cries for your acceptance.
