Can A Psychic Tell You If You are Cursed?
Hi Everyone,
I am currently in Atlanta meeting with Court TV with my business manager going over the possibilities of doing some short term work with them in the future. Of course, because of this my online availability has been shortened a bit, and I have not really had the time to post anything new on my blog, so I figured that I would jump into the mailbag. I would like to take this time to thank all of the people that have sent me letters on Keen and off Keen regarding my bringing Ask Storm back to life, and I would like to thank my numerous friends at AOL (The Women’s Community Rocks) for encouraging me to do so. I would also like to thank Simon J. my ISP provider for answering some questions for me, when he really did not have to.
Here is a question that I found interesting:
Dear Storm,
I recently attended your lecture that you gave at one of the bookstores in Denver. It was called, “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not!” Although I really wished I could have scheduled a reading with you, my husband who is in the military and overseas was going to call me that evening, so I couldn’t stay and book a session with you. I wanted to discuss something with you, because it has bothered me for several years. Before I was married, I went to see a psychic in Denver, and she informed me that I was cursed. Do you believe that a psychic can tell you that you are cursed?
Isobel, Colorado Springs, CO.
Dear Isobel,
I found it with great irony that you would ask this question, because I am currently writing a new lecture, which is called, “Breaking Generational Curses.” Thank you for your question and I hope I can address it appropriately.
Do I believe that a psychic can tell you that you are cursed? Yes! However, it does not mean that it is true. Do I believe in curses? Absolutely! However, many people would be rather shocked at what I view as a curse.
After studying the Torah and the Zohar for many years, I noticed that there are curses which are flying around the Old Testament like a swarming bee-hive. So, I think to myself what is this saying? Why is it constantly talking about these curses? Knowing that Kabbalah teaches that God/The Light does not curse and God is only concerned with sharing light, it made me take notice and ask what is this really telling us?
A curse is basically the initial cause our self defeating behaviors. The things that we do that are self defeating that we continue to do regardless of the fact that we KNOW that they are self defeating actually have an initial event cause. They create our walls, the things that protect us from the icky things out in the universe that is going to hurt us. The initial cause may be that we were hurt as a child, or whether our parents did not raise us properly, or whether we have had bad relationships, which have taught us to be fearful of future relationships. The initial event is the curse, because it creates all the difficult patterns that we learn as adults.
Now how do we remove them? The first thing that you do is become aware of them existing. Most of us stay in denial, because facing the issues that continuously cause us hurt is painful and humans just do not like to feel pain. Find out why you are continuing to use behaviors that are destructive to you, and why you continue to react to them. Then CHANGE (the act or process of doing something different than what you were doing before) them. Make the conscious choice to have a better life! The real and true curse (in this case a faulty ideology) that is on you is the belief that you cannot make a change in your life. YOU CAN! Every experience, no matter how bad in our lives, is a learning experience, and it provides us with the opportunity to grow both mentally and spiritually.
Here is the REAL secret. The more that you work on the “curses” in your life, the better your life is going to become. The real ritual for you to perform is LIVING YOUR LIFE – and enjoying it. The Zohar states clearly that if you work on your issues and find ways to bring Light into your life you can have the WHOLE enchilada – the only catch is that you have to share a taco with someone else.
Let me know what you think!
With Light,
Storm
P.S. Please continue to send me your questions either on Keen or on my Website
