Good Afternoon Bloggers!

Since telephone readings became popular in the 1990’s, psychic readings have changed dramatically.   In years past, most readings consisted of an individual consulting with a psychic in person for 1-1 ½ hours and thoroughly exploring the areas of their lives and usually covering things (generally – broad life plan) to specific areas of life such as love, money, career, general health, family, and everything in between.   Today, readings now range between 10-15 minutes depending on the issues and concerns that the client may have.  In the past, update readings were once every six months, today it is only a phone call with no scheduling of appointments and finding out the psychic’s availability.

This blog is to focus on getting the most out of your psychic readings!

About 10 years ago, I started studying what is known as Horary Astrology.  Not because I doubted my clairvoyant abilities, but because I found that certain information that I gave the client was always relative.  For example, what appears to be spring in Alaska may not appear to be spring in Florida?   If I was clairaudiently (hearing by psychic perception) given the day of Monday, what Monday is that really?  Is that this coming Monday or is that Monday next month?   Horary gave me a much better more precise way of timing situations and circumstances with a VASTLY higher degree of accuracy than just clairvoyant/clairaudient perception.    During my study period, I took a course by Gilbert Navarro based on the horary ideals of Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson.   Mrs. Jacobson believed that you should always prepare yourself for a consultation and only ask a question when you are sure that this is the question that you wanted answered because this brought a higher amount of accuracy and a more serious nature to the matter.

I will now compile a list of things that you should do before you get a reading.

Think about the issues that you wish to know!  Write them down and ask yourself whether or not there are other issues involved that you would really like to know.

Read Listings.    This means exactly what it says.  When you are deciding whether or not to contact a psychic make sure that this psychic is a match for you.   For example, I do not do medium readings.   It is not that I cannot talk to the dead, because they often come to me.  I just prefer not to work in this area, because I find it completely wipes me out psychically for a few days.   However, there are several psychics that you should contact for this type of work, such as Mike Pace or Linda Salvin.    Also, if the client has more information like a personal webpage (or blogs) read that as well.

Never call for a general reading, which I will now refer to as a McReading (hold the special sauce please).   McReadings take an enormous amount of time, and in this day and age people are no longer interested in having a long explorative discussion regarding their lives, they just want answers to the questions they may have.   With this being said, McReadings usually create frustration, because you often do not get what you want answered and your money has run out leaving you feeling angry or disappointed because the reader did not have time to get to that issue with you.   If you go to a fast food restaurant such as McDonald’s are you just going to ask for a hamburger when you really want a Big Mac?    Just remember, in most cases the more general the question the more general the answer.

Ask clear concise questions.    The clearer your question the clearer the answer.  Calling a psychic and the dialogue being like the following is not clear.

Psychic: What can I answer for you today?

Client:   Can you tell me about X?

This is an example of a clearer question:

Psychic:  What can I answer for you today?

Client:  I am interested in X and am wondering if you see a romantic relationship between the two of us in the future?

Write information down.  Often psychic information does not even become clear the client until after it has “sunk” in.  Many times, I will ask about someone around the life of the client, and they do not know who this is until a week later when it becomes recognizable.   Also, write down any symbolism or images that the psychic tells you they are picking up.  This also might be a message for you not necessarily for the psychic.

Ask questions!   If you are not sure about what a psychic is telling you then ask them questions.   Readings are truly about a dialogue not a monologue; therefore it is up to you to make sure your getting your question answered.

Let the reading settle.  Take a bit of time to let the information absorb.   Once the information has absorbed then call back the psychic for clarification if you need too.

Time issues.    The longer that you spend with the psychic getting quality information about your situation the better.   I am not stating that for a reading to be accurate that it lasts for 3 hours.   I am stating that usually in 4-5 minutes is not usually enough time to get into the issues at hand, and often times the caller is rushing the psychic through the information, which does not come off the top of our heads.   We need time to tune into energy and be able to understand what it is that we are receiving.    I personally take a moment or two to tune in, yet give information very rapidly, but other psychics may be different.  The worse thing that you can do is to rush them.

Find one or two advisors and stick with them.   Do not shop psychics!!   It’s like supersizing.    It is going to be more problematic than beneficial for you.  I have found that many times talking with multiple psychics over a period of time makes the client very confused and very disappointed when “predictions” do not occur for them.    Two things are occurring when this happens, either the client is confusing the information (if I tell a client one thing to get to an outcome and they take psychic B’s advice and does something else then the action taken can change the course of the outcome), or gets information overload and no longer can recognize what psychic told them what.

Since we are living in a modern age, we have to develop modern answers to those modern problems.  Although in the past, psychic readings were much more intimate and more defined than they are now, it does not mean that we have to sacrifice the information given and received.    This is your life that you are discussing, make the most of it, and remember stay away from McReadings and definitely do not supersize them!

In Light,

Storm
