Tarot and Telling Time : Are you sure you aren't putting the cart before the horse?
I just recently had a call from a brand new customer to me and she told me that she and her fiance where contemplating having a baby and she wanted to know "when will I conceive?"
This brings up the reason for today's blog entry... Tarot and Telling Time.
Please don't ask me "when." No where do I advertise to offer you time frames. Time frames can and sometimes do come up - but it isn't easy and can be tricky at times.
First of all - shouldn't we ask the question, "Can I conceive?" or "Will we conceive?" before we ask the Universe to tell us when? Aren't we already assuming that our definition of happiness is the correct one when we approach matters with that attitude? We might be wrong at the core for all we know... and chances are, you're calling me because something isn't making you happy. So let's consider that first, shall we?
Every tarot card has an assignment of relationship with time. Some cards belong to a 10 day portion of the year, some cards belong to one of the four seasons, some cards belong to one of the seven days and a few cards (scant) have no timing associated with them at all. So putting a spread of cards on the table... if looking for a "when" in them... may very well give me 15 different answers!
Okay - that's not exactly what I mean. But for me to find a time frame in a general spread... I have several rules I adhere to before I'll claim the timing.
As for the question I was asked, when will the conception occur?.... what could I have done? Pull one card? Two cards?? Three cards??? A complete spread? There's absolutely no assurance that I can answer that question.
And for this lady in question... I still want to refer you to my questions above... are you sure this going to happen just because you want it to? Perhaps a medical professional would serve you better than a tarot card reader.
