The Sacral Chakra

Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra, day 2 of Chakra discussions

The second chakra, the Sacral Chakra, represents familial connection, tribal and community sense, as well as pro-creative desires.  The Sacral Chakra is located about an inch beneath the navel.

When I read the Sacral Chakra I am looking for a bright orange color.  Naturally, I am not surprised if other colors mix in with the orange.  I have noticed that this chakra tends to be the most likely to blend colors rather than to have them distinct among the chakra’s true color.  I believe this is due to the familial sense of belonging that is a large focus of the Sacral Chakra.

Bear in mind that family can be either family of circumstance or family of choice.  So when I look at your Sacral Chakra to see what family energies are there, you might be getting information about your relationship with your best friend, or even your place in an organization you are a member of.

The second half of the Sacral Chakra is creative.  It stems from the procreative urge, but is not limited to procreation so much as to a sense of immortality.  People generally want to see themselves as leaving some kind of legacy.  This is where the legacy is born and nurtured.

Frequently the information I get about your creative energies will begin to clarify the reading I got of your passions in your Root Chakra.  A deeper understanding of how your groundedness, your passions, your familial energies and your creativity all work together really start to gel in the Solar Chakra.

The Solar Chakra will be our next discussion.
