Astrology and the 2012 Presidential Election - who will win?

The 2012 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

Every four years astrologers are asked, "Who will win the next presidential election?"  There are many blogs, articles, and shows with predictions from various people.
Every four years, at the United Astrology Conference (UAC), they hold a presidential panel where astrologers predict who they think will win based on their different techniques.

There are many ways to try to predict who will win the election with astrology.  Most top astrologers are predicting that Obama will win.  Late astrologer, Gar Osten (click here to read about him)  did this too when he wrote a book about the U.S. chart throughout history titled,"Astrological Chart of the United States from 1776 to 2141" published in 1976.

Gar Osten passed away in 1991 but I am certain that he would have an opinion on whether Mitt Romney or Barack Obama will win the 2012 election.  In fact, I already know what his answer would be.

Before I get to that, I would like to share something else from his book. Back in 1976 he made predictions for the U.S. for every couple of years. He used the progressed U.S. chart and for 2000-2001 (or around 911) he wrote about increased international tensions and the possible breaking away from another country and the possibility of war.   Not bad for 1976.

Now for what you have all been waiting for, what did he say about the 2012 elections way back then?  He wrote, "re-election of the incumbent president."  He predicted Obama would win the 2012 election . . . when Obama was only 15 years old.

Oh I hope he is WRONG. I personally don't belive in Astrology and I hope hie is WRONG. 4 more years of socialism and anti Americanism coming from the leaders in the White House? I can't take it. I pray that Romney will win. I know he will win.

Astrologically speaking, I believe Obama will win.  He has a down period right now, but I believe he will pull back up.  Unless of course, there is voter fraud.  WHich is a national concern with all the lawsuits.

Hi Leslie,
As I am sure you are thinking, with Mercury going Retrograde on the day of the election . . . cries of voter fraud may be happening (again).  Same as the last time we had an election with Mercury in retrograde in 2000 when George W. Bush beat Al Gore.  The difference being Mercury is going retrograde on the day of the election this year while Mercury had been retrograde for  a while before Bush won.
Thank you to everyone for your comments!

All,
Astrologically speaking, on the election day, Obama's chart looks better than Romney.  However, on the inauguration day, Romney's chart looks very strong and Obama's chart looks very depressed.  Because of this, I think Romney is the next President.

When studying charts, one has to go beyond the election day.  Only then, you'd be able to see the real outcome.

From reading all comments about the past four years.  I believe Mitt Romney will win.  The obama admin has been totally weak the past four years.  America cant afford another four.  It really cant.

People who are pulling against Obama on account of Mercury Retrograde forget that Obama does his best work when Mercury follows in back of the earth.

If Mercury was direct I might worry.

I don't understand people who comment "I don't believe in Astrology but..." and then make a comment to support their canidate. Maybe if you all made an effort to get up and improve your situation in life, instead of trying to play victim, you wouldn't have so much time to troll websites of issues you clearly state you don't believe in to post your political views, duh!!! Obama 2012

Alas, there are those predictions that we are not allowed to know...guessing based on what one thinks is astrological knowledge is not becoming of one that is looked out for guidance.  I have yet to see a person use the shifting of the North Polar Stars to adjust for there readings...and that is why more often than not they are educated guesses.  Mercury will be the messenger on this one....it is very clear...and if you don't know the answer yet, you haven't got a clue, my dear.

Ophiuchus is a constellation and all the founding texts for Western astrology mention 12 signs only. The most famous test Tetrabiblos, written by Ptolemy mentions 12 signs. Hipparchus became aware of the procession of the equonox 130AD. Ptolemys writings took place 250 years later and he was well aware of it.

The myth of the 13th sign got started when a professor  mistakenly told a newspaper about the precession of stars over time, and people mistakenly believed astrology to be based on constellations. Western Astrology is based on seasons and there are 4 of them. There is no 13th sign. A  small percentage of astrologers use the siderial zodiac. Western astrologers use the tropical zodiac based relating to life on earth and earths environment. 4 Seasons-12 signs.  It has proven effective over thousands of years.
