Election Dreams

I woke in the middle of the night while a dream was still in my consciousness. For posterity, I am sharing.

A man was standing over a high tech barrel, with computer circuitry attached to it. He was doing something to it. I knew that the barrel was a modern day version of a ballot box. Though he had the authority to be there, his actions were not all that honorable. I was told that the election would be won by a surge of young voters who would not normally have voted.

When I woke, I said, "bullshit." I thought about it for a moment and then realized that the message was not all that off.

McCain supporters will be all "the election is getting fixed." I will say, so what? Bush was elected through two pseudo elections. Now we are doing the balancing act and giving the other party a chance to guide us down the yellow brick road...

Peace,

I was discussing this very issue with a dear friend and we were both lamenting on how we cannot trust government anymore. This includes elections and votes. She said she was not going to vote because it wouldn't matter for the very reason you are stating. I have to wonder if she was right. The winner has already been selected and the votes have been counted and produced. No wonder we are so messed up.

I disagree with your friend. Democracy is a great experiment and one that was inspired by Guidance. The founders of the United States were guided by ascended beings. A lack of participation by the populace is the very thing that is creating failure of the democratic process.

The real issue is not whether or not to vote, it is whether or not to be led like sheep.

On a practical note, in every election there are issues on the ballot that are local. If we do not participate, we are allowing our communites to be developed and goverened by laws that may not support our vision of our community at it's best.

The power to have a say in our policies as a nation and in our community is a lot like psychic skills; use it or loose it.

I urge everyone, VOTE!

Peace,
