Capital One Insurance, Enterprise Car Rental and the Forecast and Faery Finder for 02-22-08
Before I do the forecast, I want to warn people. I have a commercial Capital One Visa card which offers insurance on rental vehicles if you rent it with their card. I have the policy and before renting anything I called Capital One and verified the coverage. At that time I pointed asked if a truck was covered. The answer was yes, but a fancy SUV or luxury car or commercial van was not covered. That was stated clearly in the policy I had in my hand. So, I rented a truck from Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Although we had no accident with the truck, when we returned it two days later, there was a small dent at the top of the tail gate. There were several other larger dents on the truck when we rented it. They promised to call me immediately if there was a problem. I got a letter today asking me how I intended to pay for the damages. I called Capital One who immediately sent me to Visa’s claims division. The lady took my info down and informed me that trucks were not covered under their policy. I said wait a minute, I’ve got a printed policy that says they are. Well, Visa doesn’t care what Capital One mails you, they have their policy. I called Capital One the supervisor immediately read me a policy that is nothing like the one I have or was read to me two weeks ago. Not only that, but I was informed Enterprise had already contacted them.
Well, they have no idea who they are now messing with because the roofing company that ripped me off for 21,000.00, 5 months ago, is now operating in Florida right in the same county with me and ripping people off without a single agency stopping them or for that matter, even slowing them down, even though there is warrant out for the ring leader in NJ. Enterprise is about to suffer pain and suffering because I am fighting them tooth and nail.
All I hear about is honest people being ripped off by big companies that walk all over you. It’s time to rise up and something!
