What happened?

I won't try to readings if I am on any kind of drug because, well it never works well for the reader or the readee. I would open myself to all sorts of entities and bad energies the moment I opened my aura to received information, so it will be while before I can continue the tarot card and Faery reading of the day because:

What happened?

I went in for a simple cardiac catheterization. I was totally assured I would be up in two days and back to normal.
The first thing that went wrong was no one told me I was going to have lay on my back for two hours with a sand bag on my groin not moving. You just don’t do that with a bad back. After an hour and a half, my scream brought two nurses who had to massage the sciatica out of my leg, back and side and prop me slightly to the side. Have you ever noticed how medical personnel actually think they know more about you than you do?
Then they came to get me up and I went into shock and almost passed out from the pain. It seemed to be in my back as that was the loudest pain. They found me a pain killer – I am beginning to think hospitals no longer actually stock any medicines – and an hour later I really was feeling little, if anything. They wanted to go home and shoved me out the door.
I woke up the next morning and tried to move and started screaming. Folks, I have a high pain tolerance and I was screaming. I tried calling the doctor’s office all day and all I could get was the nurse’s voice mail. The receptionist even hand delivered a message and by bed time, I was just crying in pain. No return calls came, so I took the only thing I had that knocks me out, two NyQuill (may the Goddess bless Vicks) and dozed off.
The next morning I awoke to the phone and it was the hospital checking up on me. Glad someone decided to see if I was alive. The nurse told me this was just plain wrong, I should not be in any pain, keep calling the doctor. Well, I told her the whole story and she insisted so I told George what she said and that I was never going near that doctor’s office again. Needless to say, he was pissed at me.
Then he tried calling and after getting hung up on after 15 minutes on hold and three calls later he finally reaches my doctor who tells him to take me to the ER and get an ultrasound. So, we go through the process of trying to drag me out to the car and drive 45 minutes to the hospital and into a wheelchair.
Being the smart people they are, the ER didn’t take three seconds to figure out something was very wrong and had me slated for an room in the cardiac section of the ER instantly. A few minutes later I was laid out, after a bit of screaming while they got me into the bed, decided the gown could be passed on, and a doctor was in attendance. I had proven I could out scream a two month old baby getting an IV. He promptly asked what my drug of choice was and doubled the dosage.
The first inclination I had something was screwy was when the nurse was seeking the injection site and I asked her what she was doing. She was no where near where the site. Then she said that was a really strange place to do the procedure. The doctor came in and said he was sending for a CAT scan, I was in too much pain for an ultrasound to be pushing around on my groin and now: entire side. They found some arterial bleeding, prescribed some really strong drugs which unfortunately, I can’t move without, a steroid to take the swelling down, and confined me to bed until Tuesday, after which limited mobility and little or no lifting.
So here I lay with the Moonfaire this weekend that George is going to have to do all the work on because I can’t lift over 5 pounds, pain every time I move and a strong desire to kill a doctor. Not only that, but bless him for trying, if I ever see another scrambled egg and toast in my life it will be five days too soon.
