White or Black Candles - What do they really do?
People go a little nutty with that question when the answer is really simple. It has nothing to do with evil spirits, curses or all the Hollywood type hype.
White reflects all things. That is why it is used in protection spells. Unfortunately, most people miss the word: all. It will literally reflect all influences unless you properly inscribe and dedicate it. That means if you run in and light a white candle real quick, you are even reflecting the good things that are coming to you.
Black absorbs all things. Black candles can be used for attraction because they absorb. Very often you will see a bicoloured candle with green on the top and black on the bottom. The green is to attract the money or health and the black to absorb it like sponge and keep it for you. Black is used to stabalize spell results and hold them fast. So there is nothing to be concerned about when you see a black candle.
Once again, spell responsibly. First cleanse your candles and work area so you don't have extraneous vibrations hanging around. Then dedicate and charge your tools. Then and only then, do your workings and remember, what you do will return to you.
