Plagarizing is serious!

I just read a blog that is my words verbatim all except one sentence. This is clearly plagarism. I am way too shocked. My words are mine. They are based on my professional experience. It is shocking to me that someone would be so blunt and plagarize my writings. in school we had to run our papers through a plagarism site to make sure it was our original work. What happend to integrity?

you can not copy and paste and switch one or two words and call it your work.

Dr. D... I know how you must feel. I have both felt it myself in my line of work and I see it all the time here on keen. I see articles that have been pulled straight from yahoo and not sited as such. I know we have not spoken in a very long time, and I hope you are doing well. :)

Dear seeking68,
It is nice to see you on my blog. I just do not understand why fellow advisors who are suppose to be professional would do this. she literally copied and pasted the matching numbers of the statements I made. I copied her plagiarized blog of mine. I posted a comment on her blog and she deletes it. She tried to rewrite. I copied her rewrite and I sent both to keen. I always make sure that I cite when i use someone else's info.

I'm sorry that happened to you my friend.  That person probably thought that you should be flattered.  

Girlfriend.... you have every right to be flat PISSED OFF!!!  Your blogs are wonderful and most likely she is envious and without a clue of her own.

Please don't let that stop you from posting any of your fabulous articles.

Dear Margaret,
Thank you so much for the compliment.I let her know that I saw that she directly copied my work. I turned her it. She is a new reader. I just do not understand why so many readers on keen do not understand that just because we are behind a computer the same rules still apply. some do not value hard work and what us advisors do to make a blog from the heart and our professional experience. Just because keen allows us to be anonymous, they would still have to give our private info to law enforcement. The person who stole my blog is not bright in any way. she directly copied the numbers next to each statement which match two of my blogs. She said that she is getting a p.h.d. By the time someone is getting a Ph.D they should know how to spell it. I am breathing and trusting keen on this one. Between my nutty cyber bully and this plagiarizing, I am just doing keen and not blogging much.
I am writing a book and I guess it is time to finish it.

Darlin' I am so very sorry this has once again reared it's ugly head and you are the unfortunate victim.  We all know your words come not only from your heart, but from Above, and those who consciously choose to steal those words from you steal from Above.  While imitation is the highest form of flattery it is the biggest pain in the backside.  I encourage you to continue to write from your heart and those that have chosen to steal, get it in the backside!!!

thank you for your comment. the worst part is that she took my words verbatim. then she turned off her comments after I left a comment that I knew she stole my blog. I am left filling out the complaints to keen. I want to keep on blogging but I am a little apprehensive because of such blatant theft. I hope to bounce back once I can see that her blog has been removed.
