Windows Vista

Well, I did it. Monday, I bought a small HP Laptop with windows vista. It has a touch screen which was actually the deciding factor for buying my laptop at Sam's Club. I have karpal tunnel and using any type of mouse really bothers my hands. I thought I could reduce my amount of time using a mouse. Now if I can only figure out how to turn the darn thing on and off. It was on for  the first day and a half and now....... Last night, I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. I read the instructions and I am not a blond. Oh and yes it is plugged in. : - ). I know where the on and off button is supposed to be.

It is me just venting.

I would love to hear YOUR experiences with windows Vista. Please share in the comments section.

Hi everyone! I jst wanted to update you all on my brand new touch screen laptop computer. A friend of mine came over last night, and he helped me with copying my files from my desktoop to my new HP touch screen laptop. At first I was confused by how different windows vista is, but once my friend came over amd explained everything, now i see how awesome it is. It will take time to get used to. The only thing is I am not used to typing on a laptop. The touch screen was the deciding factor in me buying my new windows vista laptop. I have karpal tunnel and using a mouse has really taken a toll on my hands. I also can no longer handle sitting in my chair typing on my desktop computer. I had bad pains in my neck and upper back. with the touch screen stick, i can reduce using a mouse. it also twists into a note screen. Anyway that is all for now. linda

Oy! I am still trying to get used to working on a lap top. I am trying to train myself to mainly use my laptop, because I have neck and back problems and also karpal tunnel from probably sitting wrong all these years at my desk top computer and from using the mouse on my desk top. It is hard to make the transition.  The writing is smaller (I got a small laptop). I love the touch screen, and I am sure I will get used to windows vista.

Does anyone know if dragonspeak will work with windows vista? Also, I would like to hear other peoples experiences

Somehow I accidentally locked my computer last night and I am now having to pay someone to fix the problem. HP says I have to reinstall the operating system.

Just venting. Any suggestions? Linda

Well my computer unlocked itself a couple of hours later. I am trying to work on it more and more because of my karpal tunnel and my neck problems with my desk top. I am going to purchase dragon speak also.  Linda

Hi Everyone! I have come to the conclusion that I prefer windows XP; however, I am bound and determined to learn windows vista. I love the touch screen. that is so awesome. I have noticed that it is difficult to copy and paste in vista.

Who else who has subscribed to the RSS feed has windows vista?
