May 9th New Moon, Solar Eclipse in Taurus

Hello everyone! My sincere apologies for my long hiatus but I will be returning to my astrological blog writing, and to kick it off, I thought I’d write a ‘hello again’ message at the time of this wonderful new moon solar eclipse in the sign of Taurus. As a brief note, I have been undergoing some major transformation! I moved my residence 3 times since my last blog writing, and am settling now for some time here permanently near the near the beautiful, glimmering Pacific Ocean. I feel so much more rooted in my new home! ……………….. The theme of this New Moon Solar Eclipse is: MANIFEST! At present and for this week, be very mindful of what you’d like to ‘seed’ in your life. -is it a creative project? -a garden? -a new design for your office or living space? -are you wanting for more beauty, balance and health in your life? Taurus is all about the tangible and concrete aspects of existence: physicality (food, senses, stability, tranquility…comfort…wealth). The flip-side to the upside of Taurus is stagnation, stubbornness, sluggishness, over-indulgence, you get the idea… During a new moon (and even more dramatically powerful, a solar eclipse) you can plant the seeds for abundance ever deeper, ever more powerfully in your life. Now, some of us may scream …UGH! How? I’m stuck! There many many ways…these are just a few that I’ve found to be helpful. Through Silence -Take a moment of silence and get into your heart, connect deeply -Allow your emotions, your aches and pains, to move through you, and just notice them, and that is all… For a few minutes just STOP. -Listen to a guided meditation Through List Creation -What do you want to change? -What are you appreciative of in your life? -What do you dream of creating? Be creative, or just be. What if…. There’s another way? Some of you continue to struggle, needing something more profound, more ground-breaking and helpful in a deeply cosmic way. Resonance Repatterning---> [http://liztobin.com/cmd.php?af=1536391] Oh and One more thing: You’ll get through this!

Full Moon in Pisces

Spiritual Cleanse

September 12, 2011

This full moon is a spiritual wash. It reflects the light of the Virgo Sun (the astrological sign for purity). At this time we have an inner call for atonement, which is the urge to merge with the infinite in all Creation, and the Universe. We might find ourselves more energetically tired at this time, or even more aware of tiredness that may have been accumulating over time. Take this time to nurture yourself and those you love in the softness of the Piscean Moon. Sit in nature and absorb the air in your environment, really embrace all your surroundings.

If you find it difficult to focus at these times, go easy on yourself, be gentle. This is a time for gentleness and for kindness. A brief moment in time where you have a chance to step outside of the daily details and see the bigger picture as something that supports your vision for today. For some, this may be time to edit (Virgo) that vision (Pisces), but be sure that this time is definitely a time for awareness and not being overly critical.

If you can be by a lake or a river now, any body of water--especially, the ocean, you can commune with what you need most now.

Namaste. Be blessed in every way.

New Moon in Virgo + Mercury Station Direct + Jupiter Station Retrograde

New Virgo Moon

New Moon Sabian Symbol: “A merry-go-round”

This is your invitation to step-off of your own personal Gerbil wheel. Recognition of the endless nature of the current path, we can see excuses we give ourselves for continuing in the same fashion. Seek renewal, true renewal.

I’ve noticed that this new moon had a lot of movement! I’m sure you did also. With the Sun/Moon (New Moon) conjunction in Virgo, a trine (easy aspect and zippy fast) to Jupiter in Taurus, and a trine to the retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, what we have are a number of celestial events that all reinforce the earth changes. Virgo, Taurus, and Capricorn are the earth signs, all involved in the major aspects listed above. No surprise that the East Coast was affected by an earthquake and a hurricane! Earth changes and collective consciousness changes abound.

Celestial event: Mercury retrograde ends (August 26, 2011)

Mercury started retrograde at 2 Virgo, backing up to 19 Leo (1st pass on July 15th). On August 26th Mercury stationed direct motion. Virgo themes are health, work, our pets, and the way we offer services. All are in a state of renewal and have been under review. The Sabian Symbol for Mercury Retrograde is "A large white cross upraised." Blain Bovee, Sabian specialist, says this symbol is about setting a higher standard, and raising the bar. More is expected, requiring solid, tangible results. He also writes that, “When standards are hoisted… or foisted… a definite change in the atmosphere can be felt.” (site reference).

When we work with the earth energies, more is felt, as it is experienced on the physical plane. We can see the evidence of this without a doubt; it’s measurable and tangible. Yet what we are seeking is direction. Now the Sabian Symbol for the degree that mercury retrograded back to, Leo 19, is called, “A houseboat Party,” also what Bovee calls, “a keel-less boat.” The keel is the main structure of the ship—all the ship’s seaworthiness rests on the keel—apply this metaphor to our minds, and communications. How’s your mental keel? The keel is also defined as “the median ridge on the breastbone of birds that fly.” See, the keel is fundamental by design. The vision we communicate (Mercury) is in need of leadership and guidance, and that leadership must be built-in by design. More structural changes are ahead in your work-life and daily habits of mind (Virgo).

Clarity of direction

Mercury retrograde also helps to show us where our illusions are likely to be burst. The mercury retrograde cycle itself is good for re-viewing items, and that’s why it’s not a good time for signing contracts or starting new projects. The reason is that mercury brings its gift of clarity at the end of the retrograde cycle. During the retrograde cycle, we are in a muddier state, needing to return our attention to things already started. Mercury’s retrograde was from August 2 to August 26th, and if you tried to start something new at this time, it simply may have met with resistance or other types of inertia. Important to note is Mercury’s retrograde cycle extends beyond the visibly direction-change, meaning that when the planet turns direct, it’s going back over those astrological degrees in the sky it formerly passed before the retrograde. This records a cycle spanning back to July 15th. By September 9th, Mercury will have exited the retrograde path, Virgo 2. By then, all the mental dust ought to be settled, and the communications will be easier—even the thoughts will be more geared to forward movement with a likely re-direction of mental energies.

Celestial Event: New Moon in Virgo (August 28, 2011)

This new moon simply opens the door for the implementing the necessary changes that Mercury’s retrograde cycle helped to bring to our consciousness. The areas concerned are swiftly changing, however, regardless of whether or not consciousness has caught up with the knowledge. Let’s refer back to the Grand Trine that includes the New Moon with Jupiter, and Pluto. Pluto’s role here is about tremendous transformation. Pluto unearths (naturally it governs Scorpio), and will exhume what has been untouched for years, bringing it to the surface. What it brings up has a lot to do with Jupiter (your joy, abundance) in Taurus. Taurus is the astrological sign that represents our values and our resources. Taurus shows us the condition of our resources.

Celestial event: Jupiter Stations Retrograde (August 30, 2011)

Jupiter turns retrograde tomorrow in the sign of Taurus, on August 30th, 2011 until December 25, 2011.

When a planet retrogrades, it’s said that its energies are introverted, making the energies even more personal. That is, retrograde motion gives the consciousness the opportunity to reflect on itself. We will reflect on our excesses, where we “hold abundance” and those areas of life that bring us hope. This is also a time for considering where abundance is blocked in our being, our energy, and our personal vision about our life. As always, this information is shared with love and is my gift to you. Be blessed!

Aquarius Full Moon August 13, 2011

Aquarius Full Moon: Ushering the

New Era

There is a nature to the universe, an order, a unity that is divine. Early scientists had some interest in what they sensed as the divinity of order, and they sought to uncover it. At the Aquarian Full Moon, August 13th, 2011, we come clean to our awareness that there is perfect structure in creation.  We are witnessing within and without this extraordinary epoch of renewal, the unfolding of the universe before us–ever becoming, blossoming, simultaneously as our awareness blooms into space.

In this new era, we will see children differently, having allowed our own inner-children to grow up spiritually, we can allow our children to write their own stories/destinies from day-one. They will be encouraged to teach us by their individual expressions. When we are awakened, “Before God we are all equally wise – and equally foolish,” Albert Einstein. We will be like God, knowing this, but not necessarily why or how we all are actually equal in the eyes of All There Is. We will be in our heart-mind, knowing the truth by heart again, giving new life to old ways of using language such as, “memorized by heart.” We will be re-freshed about Science as a process, not just as a book of knowledge (written by those of power) to be used for or against religious beliefs. We will be released from the socialized pressure of making fringe ideas disappear, and able to embrace anomalies with curiosity, sensitivity, and compassion as the virtue of connectedness. Testing and experimentation will be done only by mutual agreement and mutual interest in the results. We will become very aware of our connectedness again.

How do we get there? In two ways that are really one: First, by the awareness that we are already there (use our individuality to express the truth of this unity in all one’s thoughts and actions; We must become self-sustaining). Two: via Uranus square Pluto transits, that is, the tests and challenges ushering the era From http://darkstarastrology.com/uranus-square-pluto-horoscopes-2011-2012-2013-2014-2015-predictions/.

There are seven exact square between Uranus and Pluto between 2012 and 2015. The last series of squares was between 1932 and 1934.

Uranus square Pluto June 26 2012
Uranus square Pluto September 19 2012
Uranus square Pluto May 21 2013
Uranus square Pluto November 1 2013
Uranus square Pluto April 21 2014
Uranus square Pluto December 15 2014
Uranus square Pluto March 17 2015

These tests are not to be feared but to be understood as taking place on the inner plane of your existence. It is always, at every moment, up to oneself to do the refining work to become better people. We must create with courage and sincerity (Leo)—the passion of love, and with humanity and fraternity—the awareness of the self in Other (Aquarius).

Aquarius Full Moon: Aspects
The Sun is in conjunction with Venus, illuminating the feminine principle—or more appropriately, the “Yin” function of receptivity in creation. Mercury is retrograde in Leo, also conjunct the Sun and Venus, setting up the mental template for Venusian influence. Our psyches are primed for sensitivity and tenderness, the receptivity of Venus. We can acknowledge mentally that love is a ‘want’ and a ‘value’ that is self-possessed.

The moon in the sign of Aquarius gives distance to the emotions, subjugates the unconscious (moon) to lend a certain cognitive distance, which can either serve the purpose of illuminating those principles that underlie creation (in Leo, its individual selves), or to dismiss and isolate self-expression as marginal and non-cohesive (say it’s against harmony).

The North Node of the moon (future) is in the sign of Sagittarius begging us to be adventurous, spirited, and optimistic in our nature. The South node of the moon (past) is in Gemini asking us to make use of our knowledge and our networks, and to release this focus on communication-for-communication’s-sake to reach into the higher realms (not just greater distances for the sake of it, but to be progressive, such as the arrow of the archer has aim), and to further develop humanity’s current philosophy and judiciousness.

In its earliest stages, individuation starts as the mirror of the world (at least how one thinks the world would like the individual to act and behave, and most of this is projected) eventually through experimentation and differentiation (Aquarius), the individual sorts out the matrix of self-material and finally anchors all self-expression in the soul—that which resonates most deeply with the incarnate being. It’s at this point that the artist can touch the hearts of the collective. Coming full-circle, the deepest part of Self is not Self at all but  individuated, temporary expressions of the collective spark of all life, Spirit.

The Aquarius full moon is indeed the gift of Self to the collective, offered as both (small) just one of many, and (enormously powerful) a speaker of the One.

Leo New Moon August 3 2011

Leo New Moon: Self-Hood, Be your Best Self.

The self is not just ‘one thing.’ The self is composed of: the lower self, the higher Self, the personality, the ego, and the soul matrix. We have the discipline of psychology to thank for giving us other ‘terms’ such as, Id, Super-ego, and the Unconscious. Altogether, we can recognize that there are multiple forms of self that are “inside” us. Our pieces of self are our values, beliefs, our mentality, and our dreams (interpretation of reality). Now all these pieces are functional and healthy when they seem to all be “the same thing,” but it’s possible for these pieces to be in conflict.  Read about the psychologist Carl Jung and astrology, see this link and read, “His Interest in Astrology.”

Swiss psychologist (1875-1961) Carl Gustav Jung founded the discipline of Analytical Psychology, and basically awakened the collective consciousness to a cursory awareness of itself (after all, he coined the term collective unconscious). Jung is also famous for defining the term “projection.” That which is not realized or unconscious by the individual is seen as characteristic within the other to whom one is in relationship. This projection is a result of the unconsciousness or the “Shadow” aspect of self. The shadow is projected on the other because the ego cannot manage it as a self-definition. Thus the integration of the shadow is required for individuation to take place. Please see the 4th excerpt from Jung here . Individuation relates very well to the sign of astrological sign of Leo. Here's more on the Carl Jung and individuation process.

In its simplest terms, the Leo archetype is all about reflection. The light that shines back on us is a reflection of the light that we ourselves are emitting. The shadow’s we cast, too, are very much our own shadows. With Leo the creator is born, the artist, the actor. One can only “act” as oneself and thereby those actions do shape and develop the character as he tries on different types of expressions. For Leo, self-development is essential. Leo will attempt to re-decorate the world to reflect itself so that it can maintain its individuality, only excepting complete adoration, seeing anything less as dissension. Until eventually Leo rests in some kind of knowing-ness that its Self-hood cannot be threatened by other special Selves, because the Self is reinforced as an illusion of the ego. The powerfully subjective experience of self, seeming to have no collective meaning, is nothing but a collective expression, and is urged out.

Have fun being yourself this new moon. Try different ways to shine! The paradigm of Leo is playful.

Capricorn Full Moon July 15, 2011

Happy Full Moon! possible 'Lilith Effect' Capricorn 22: Accepting defeat gracefully

I wish you a Happy Full Moon with a sly grin and a touch of challenge because this full moon can be touchy—Yet, it’s for the best; really, it is. The eclipse hit earlier this month and that was at 9 degrees of Cancer. This full moon is in Capricorn, no more eclipses until November. It is of no surprise that this full moon @ 22 degree Capricorn is the same degree touched by the Sun, back on January 13, 2010, as Saturn Stationed retrograde in Libra, while the Sun, Venus, and the N.Node were all huddled together discussing destiny @ 22 Capricorn. Now, Saturn features eminently in this full moon chart due to a T-Square formed with both Venus and Lilith. Although the full moon itself doesn't make aspect. This could still be felt.

Transiting Venus (the faster moving planet) squares the now, forward-moving planet Saturn hosted in Libra (harmony/beauty). Saturn stationed direct last month on June 13. Sure, the square aspect aggravates stuff, true… but does it have to get sort-of, well, ugly at times?

Ugliness is something that the idealistic Libran hates even more than hate itself. Enter Lilith: fierce archetypal female badass (http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1513/whats-the-story-on-lilith-adams-first-wife.) Lilith opposes Venus (the planet of Love & beauty) in Libra, and just when you thought you were being good, patient, not-judging, unbiased and generally a good-natured person (Libran-stuff), you may have realized that something ugly’s been hanging out in the room with you. That ugly thing, however, ain’t so ugly after all—it’s just kind of, well, repressed.

The astrological Lilith “describes deep and primal issues, repressed feelings of rejection, even rage, and the refusal to give in.” Why should you notice it? It’s powerful, very, very powerful. Powerful things need to be noticed. If you chain it up in the back room of your mind or being, especially your auric field, look out! Yep, that sounds right, even though it doesn’t. Inclined Librans may deny their war-identities.

With some gentle demon-exorcising, I have come to see this precious and dark demon lay down and purr once it gets noticed. But I most certainly would not feed it or pet it! According to astrotherapy.eu/blackmoon.htm, Lilith in Aries begs for body-movement to release. Do it. Move it. This burst of powerful energy is nothing to fear, just beware, and be aware. Draw your circle, and call for protection.

Lilith in astrological chart ultimately wants you to embark on new ways of managing your anger and grief by finding your capacity to constructively release anger and resolve conflict. Face the demon of restriction to uncover the love. Balance (Libra) the chores and duties of Capricorn with the nurturing and unconditional love of Cancer. Use any developing friction to exercise your inner demons, but please, don’t make a martyr out of love in the process. Patience is all, add courage. One more thing, the darker the dark, the brighter the bright can be realized.

Not everyone will experience this “Lilith effect”—depends on your natal chart. Technically this pattern doesn't involve the full moon at all since the full moon makes too wide of an orb of aspect to other major planets. Nevertheless, there is something to be said about tracing back the movements of Saturn as they correlate to former Solar passages at 22 Degree of Capricorn, the same degree of our current full moon. Never hurts to reflect. Think back to January 13, 2010 and what you may have experienced at that time for clues about what was repressed, rejected, and sublimated--Lilith Style.

Cancer New Moon July 1 2011 Partial Solar Eclipse, Dawn of New Era

July 1, 2011 Partial Solar Eclipse in Cancer/ New Moon

The astrological sign of Cancer is given the element of water, describing what type energy it is, and the cardinal modality, describing how it operates. Cancer, like water, flows into any shape of container. It surrounds and absorbs. It is inherently adaptive. Water energy is sensitive to all energy. Cancer acts like a sponge and soaks up its environment, but also surrounds and saturates. It can be protective and shielding, or weak and yielding. Cancer  traditionally represents the Mother Archetype and rules the private life of house and home.

Now, I’d like to talk about the Cancer/Capricorn polarity. The signs oppose one another on the zodiacal wheel, but the energy really represents to two-sides of same coin and are thus complementary. Cancer is Elemental: that which is raw, unformed, flowing. Cancer is Archetypal: the sign of the mother, the instinctive, the nurturer. Capricorn is elemental: physical and material; it represents body, thought-form (principle), think of the way lava cools and hardens after it freely releases--that is the way of nature. Capricorn is traditionally Archetypal: the sign of the father, authoritarian, disciplinarian, rule-enforcer.

Making our way (the moon's nodes) from shallow footsteps, to deep grooves, to ruts… habit builds structure, some call it karma.

We can look to psychological astrology and see our childhood experiences, how we relate to them, the deep impressions that imprinted into memories during our childhoods, and our personal past usually has a story, how it was perceived by us at that time. Cancer, in the astrological chart, points to the subconscious, the underground of the mind. It is where our stories flow like a river, without our awareness. When our subconscious emerges because of the build-up of inner pressures, (for various reasons, sometimes never known); and, we get the signal of emotion, we can look for a story.  Get to know it first. Then, decide to drop the old story. This takes practice. Over time our tendencies, habits, stories form into beliefs, and that feeds back into a loop, shaping how we see today's reality, and ultimately our future.

So, the ‘shaping’ process of life—the way experiences mold us into our character is through the Cancer to Capricorn polarity. Capricorn, the crystallization of the trodden path into an absolute paved road has been laid via repeated actions into habits. Often astrologers talk about the planet Saturn (Capricorn’s ruler) as being the karmic planet. We can see why, its placement is a description of our own personal rulebook, or that which we project outward into the world as our authority. Nevertheless, what was once a rough sketch of possibility before we repeated it over and over again, became “written in stone” and therefore a fact about ourselves. When all along, it was really just our belief forming into reality, caught up in a feedback loop. We all have beliefs, even those to don't feel comfortable with things like "belief," who prefer what they call facts. If we operate in that way (we really have no choice about that part) we get back exactly what we put in, and face limitation during difficult Saturn transits. Here rather than be rewarded for our past efforts (whatever past it may be, this life or another).

I know that the whole concept of past and future lives is a bit to stomach all at once but take a small bite and consider how BIG and LONG these cycles really are in the universe. We are the universe, we are nature. That's a belief to work with!

Karmic Rut

Fresh footprints in the sand (as light markings of a once-over walk) can be blown away by the wind, but after several passes over the same spot, our way can become so deepened and hardened that these walkways become absolute ruts (albeit much easier to stay in) with high walls that we cannot even see over--so deep that it’s starting to look like a maze, and you wish you had a map because you are so stuck in the narrowness of where you were (the past) going over and over it again, that you can't see anything beyond the wall of that vision. We sometimes like to call these karmic moments, when we simply realize that it’s time to work a little less on the old path, and consider starting a new path where we have more vision.

I think you get my point. If you don’t that’s okay, let these pictures and thoughts sit with you for a little while and let them sink in.

Eclipse aspect pattern

I’m going to pause on archetypal expressions of the signs for this post, and begin to shift to the aspect pattern of this particular eclipse, which incidentally starts a whole new family of eclipses, so it’s new-new. Each series typically lasts 12 to 15 centuries and contains 70 or more lunar eclipses. Also, this eclipse will affect you from 2 weeks prior to July 1, to 2 weeks after with the greatest intensity. Those most affected have personal planets in the Cardinal signs of (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). What you learn from the astronomical event/astrological energies is your gift, if you so choose to see it that way, providing you with skills to work with the ricochet of lessons that pulsate out into the future, consisting of similar themes.

Aspects

Sun conjunct Moon in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn, Retrograde

Major transformation of consciousness and largely due to the emerging awareness of the shadow-side (Pluto). Sometimes indicates endings, but since it’s a New Moon, Solar Eclipse, it’s kind of more like

A fixed star, Gienah, is conjunct Saturn, and it’s kinda a dark star, described by some as used in the past for anti-nice magikal purposes.

Saturn is squaring the eclipse, meaning both North and South nodes of the moon-

If you feel like there is rain coming down on your parade, this is the saturnine quality of Saturn, sobering you up and sometimes making reality feel pesky and heavy.  (Neptune the planet of dreams is retrograding back into Aquarius and then will come back into Pisces in February for perma-stay till 2025, so you get can back into generating your dream life (that is, transcending ordinary reality), don’t let the pesky Saturn get you down, just listen to the planetary message of Saturn and work with its energies like a good student of life, you will be rewarded by what you learn.) See if some new technologies pop up from August to February… your likely to see tons regardless since it’s the way of things, but keep your eye out for a Neptunian Goodbye to the sign of Aquarius before going back to the sign it rules, Pisces, for more alter-reality, fantasy creations, and further reduction on the line separating reality from fantasy.

Keys to this Eclipse

Patience: the bridge between old and new is built without you. (with Pluto in opposition, it’s powers beyond your control). Release as much of the past as you can, by acknowledging what principles are out-dated and not as useful in your present-life context. Decide which principles (Capricorn) serve your future direction, and after you listen to your emotions, by fully allowing the flow (Cancer) of their expression, let go of that story that informs them, and start anew. Emotions are just emotions, neither good nor bad. It’s the interpretation, actions, and behaviors that make emotions deemed appropriate or inappropriate in terms of their expression. That's why we have the tendency to repress, stifle, or limit them (Capricorn) before we discover them through the sign of Cancer.

General comments about this summer’s eclipses

This is the last eclipse in the 3-Eclipse series of June 1 (Solar), June 15 (Lunar), and July 1 (Solar). Thus lays the foundation for summer and the 6 months till November with the next series of eclipses. Each eclipse also has its own eclipse family called a Saros Series, where an eclipse is given a number for how it appears in the Saros Cycle, spanning approximately 18 years. Overall, this family of eclipses or Saros Cycle will last 12-15 centuries. In astrology the nodes project the qualities of the past and future based on their natal sign and house placement in the birth chart as well as other aspecting bodies (planets, asteroids, fixed stars) and other mathematical points given interpretive value such as Arabic parts.

I hope you enjoyed what is still just a brief write-up of everything astrological + more!

With love and appreciation for all that shines and reflects, from the apparent darkness of space,

Total Lunar Eclipse Sagittarius

FULL MOON, TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE, Sagittarius

This is a stellar event to just feel with your whole being, no matter if it brings you pain or pleasure--likely it’s a mixture of both. How you experience this eclipse is up to you.

Aspects at Work

Saturn trine Venus in Gemini
Venus sextile Uranus
Saturn opposite Uranus, Squaring Pluto Retrograde- Capricorn rules structures, establishments
Moon conjunct N. Node in Sagittarius
Sun and Mercury conjunct S. Node in Gemini

The responsibility of relationship (Saturn in Libra) opposes (Uranus in Aries) the desire and freedom “to be myself.” What is being transformed is the structure of relationship—how we view it, and what we think defines it (Sun conjunct Mercury aspect makes it cerebral). What can we live with, and what can we live without? Additionally, our relationship to the world of material (Venus, Jupiter in Taurus) is highlighted. We want the stability (Venus trine Saturn) and we want to be give love freely (Venus sextile Uranus).  These are the questions that help keep you flowing.

Otherwise, you’re pitting yourself up against a T-square with Pluto at the fulcrum, enforcing change and adjustment. It’s best if you take this on consciously, and address the questions above. Get deep into them so that you don't burst out and cause/experience injury.

I’m going to have to tell you, pay attention to your feelings. What you FEEL you need, if you can untangle that from your unconsciousness and allow it to live and breathe, will best supply you with your answers at this critical juncture. Eclipses are huge turning points. With the moon conjunct the North Node, expressing your emotions first to yourself is paramount, make sure you know how you feel and are in touch with that. Take the time! It’s hard to do, during an upheaval, but all the more necessary. It is the only way to bring about healing instead of building longer-term problems.

With Pluto trine to Jupiter in Taurus, what you release from your life, and what you confess to yourself about your needs/feelings will educate you best. Opening up to your emotions now will help you bring vision and happiness into your relationships. If you’re relationships fail when you express your deepest, most honest self, they are not good relationships for you. Let them fall away so that your true needs are met with love.

This information has been shared with love and is offered as a gift.

New Moon Partial Eclipse in Gemini

New Moon Partial Eclipse in Gemini @ 11-12 degrees

June 2-3rd (depending on where you are) will be the new moon partial eclipse event that activates and refreshes the Gemini part of our charts. Gemini rules communications, thought processes, and short-trips. Gemini rules our siblings and the duality of the mind, ever-fluctuating between the positive and negative poles. Gemini is the sign that rules the activities of the mind, categorizes things, and distinguishes them into patterns. Gemini represents how we filter information from our environment, and could be described as a mental “net.” It’s our subjective lens for viewing our neighborhood and our neighbors, and
shows even how we obtain our information about the world. Gemini is the also the mouthpiece of the astrological chart, showing us how we speak our truth using either chosen symbols or that of our native tongue.

More about Gemini

Gemini is the sign of the twins; it represents the duality of the mind. It is also the 3rd astrological sign in the zodiac, and the 1st air sign. The 3rd aspect takes the form of a stage for the two dancing dualities to perform—this can be in the form of words, thoughts, writing, and picture symbols. In its most primitive sense, Gemini is the first expression of relationship itself: the marriage of any two things and their interaction. Gemini energy can be likened to a web where the material itself is gossamer, delicate, but has strength in its complexity, and its design. Nevertheless, Gemini introduces levity to the collective consciousness. During Gemini ruled times, we may brush lightly about subjects, moving from one to another without the need to
go to go very deeply in between or below the surface. It’s a good time for being analytical and detached, survey our resources, and collect information we need for our projects. This is a process that keeps the wind moving and the air flowing (the ideas light).

Sagittarius—Gemini’s polar opposite sign on the zodiac—represents wisdom beyond category; it’s the heart of philosophy, the seeker-less seeker of truth. Sometimes Sagittarius is expressed as religion, but it mostly shows us the sagacious “bigger picture.” How ineffable and beyond any mental construct is the nature of reality itself. Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter, giver of expansiveness and fortune. Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury, the messenger, the word, and the mind. The opposing sides of the zodiac are actually complementary and act as two-sides of the same coin. Both Gemini and Sagittarius deal with knowledge, but an even better word than ‘knowledge’ is to say that these signs both
deal with ‘vision.’ Think of the song Amazing Grace: “I once was lost but now I am found, was blind but now I see.”

It’s a time for inner mental stability

When we see a new moon in Gemini, we are opening up another window into
the psyche of how we identify and use information, especially in a local way or immediate way. This is a time where we may start talking more to those around us, or even less. It’s a time for stabilizing communications (Sun conjunct Moon forms a trine aspect to Saturn in Libra).  For some, we will open up to learning a new language, or even start a new learning process. Perhaps we will chatter on more about what we see and do with those nearby; there could be changes in our relationships to siblings.

The new moon’s trine aspect to Saturn can go mainly in two different ways: One is that this aspect can act as a stabilizer for whatever mental activity or communication takes place, giving whatever is to come has a long-lasting and dedicated affect. The other slightly different way is that Saturn can filter the Gemini creation into a specific and dedicated structure or format. In this new moon chart, Saturn is forming a harmonious aspect to the new moon, making for the most positive expression of this new moon. The tendency is that this aspect will be smooth and easy, and operate with natural guidance or stability. Since Saturn is still retrograde till the middle of June, our commitments are focused inwardly.

Partial solar eclipse

Usually in astrology eclipses are considered more powerful than a regular New Moon event, and have a longer-lasting and deeper affect. In the old days, eclipses were considered to be omens and portents about the future, especially for leaders. Now-a-days, many astrologers have a view that the external movements of the heavens, or the planets as they appear to look here on Earth, not only represent natural cycles, but that planetary events viewed on Earth represent changes within our own psyches, mirroring our individual and the collective consciousness.

Since the new moon is a monthly, regular gift of opening up to something “new” and planting seeds for a new venture, you can do this at this New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini, and it’s an especially powerful time to plant your intentions for the future—it’s a good time for technology purchases, car purchases, committing to write a book, or starting your education in a new subject. It’s also a good time to revisit relationships with your siblings if you’ve been waiting for one. A Solar Eclipse, however, does add a certain unexpected quality, or
miscellaneous ingredient into your mix: so as you set your intentions, be aware that there is a heavenly variable at work in your personal destiny. Now is a time that it’s just more obvious that heaven speaks on your behalf.

Always with love,

Full Moon in Scorpio, May 17, 2011

Full Moon in Scorpio, May 17, 2011 (As occurring on Kauai, Hawaii @ 1:09am, may be the 18th elsewhere)

Look back. Don’t go back.

When the moon culminates into fullness, we can see the results of what we planted at the new moon. Let’s take a moment to look back at that new moon in Taurus. The new moon in Taurus directed us into the dark, fertile, uncreated and unseen origin of our individual resources, our financial situation, our relationship to Mother Nature, how we act practically, objects of tangible beauty, and living by our senses of touch, taste, and smell. Themes mentioned are traces of what we have planted into the ground at the new moon, whether or not we knew it at the time.

The moon shines at night, it is reflecting the conscious light of the sun; and Moon, she takes her shape from the positions of the Earth and Sun as they inform her own position. The moon, then, represents the unconscious, fertile, and form-making aspect of our lives. It is at Scorpio, then, that we begin to prune and tend to our gardens created by what we planted at the Taurus new moon. We start to see our intentions taking shape. Scorpio, the opposite sign of Taurus, is about shared resources, the earth’s resources, debts, obligations, and other people’s money. Financial questions are on the forefront at this time and so with them is our relationship to other people, material value, and to the earth herself as a resource.

Dig for Gold

Scorpio is the sign of the scorpion. She can sting with her tail. Her sting penetrates—which is the key function of the sign of Scorpio: penetration. Scorpio saturates and is saturated by everything that she is in relationship with. What she brings to the table is the up-surging of subterranean drives, and the emotional richness of connection and intimacy. She, also, expresses herself through transactions, of sexuality or money—even energy—from the deepest upwelling of underlying passion. She is out of control, or, always in control. She’s past the Libran balance of here *and* there simultaneously. Scorpio is all-in. That is why Scorpio charges the air with magnetic power. Swift and smart, deep and hidden, yet guileless when she goes for the jugular. If she is in her most pristine form, she will cleanse you of everything-transform your destructive nature into absolute creative power, for she provides the emotional richness of connection, deep, reverent union. Instinctual and animalistic is her power, once released, it is explosive. Form (Taurus) is Re-formed (Scorpio).

Squaring Neptune

With this full moon, we have a T-square aspect (two, 90 degree angles) with the planet Neptune. That is, the Sun is opposite the Moon, and both bodies are squaring Neptune in Pisces. Here we must use our energy and soul essence (Sun) for spiritual purposes (Neptune), surrendering all our conscious drive for wholeness *and* our unconscious, emotional body for transcendence.  Both male and female must re-configure. We must give away or purge (Scorpio) our illusions (Neptune) about spirituality. Surrender (Neptune) our constructions and any ‘it must be this way’ thought-forms (Saturn) to intimately deepen with the power (Scorpio) of the unformed—that which springs up from unlimited origins (Neptune).

Do not let issues from the past bubble up and tell you how the future will be. The past is only one channel that leads into the future, giving ourselves the power of interpretation and using psychological mastery (Scorpio), we can re-frame the past into one which allows for the future of your choice.  Know that the source that makes the future is far more limitless and undetermined than our minds would like us to think with our thoughts about what the past was.

With the Moon and Sun squaring Neptune there is a tendency to get confused. Be forewarned but do not forlorn because you are aware of this transit, you have come to the crossroads of another decision to cut through (Scorpio) the illusion, confusion, deception, and penetrate the fog of confusion (Neptune).

The Bottom Line

Renew your commitment to cutting out the dross within your own psyche, forge a new path with your will-to-faith that confusion and limitation is temporary *and* transformative. You have forged a new path for yourself when you surrender to the process of your own spirit, emerging out of old form into new form.

Saturn square Pluto, Opposite Mercury Retrograde near Station Direct

Resistance is not likely to be helpful at this time

I am moved to write, strange how that is since Mercury is opposite Saturn at this time. This has been a strenuous aspect for many people. I can see it all around me. Saturn is in Libra (same sign as the recent full moon) and it is opposed by Mercury Retrograde (about to Station Direct Motion) conjunct Mars in Aries (drive, impatience). Therefore, we have a tremendous amount of restriction and resistance going on with communication, with technology and logistics, and within our relationships--this can even manifest very strongly in our minds and thoughts (Mercury).

Today's a good day though, the moon is in Sagittarius, a fire sign that's in harmonious aspect to the almost conjunct (side-by-side) placement of Uranus and Venus, meaning that we are collectively emotionally ready for some changes, at least during this moon, and if we can tap into it (depending on your natal moon placement) we can see changes and developments optimistically (Sagittarius). We can choose the adventure. Remember those "Choose your own adventure" books? Well, you don't control the adventure, but you open yourself up to it, and then you make the decisions you can make to best of your capability. If your restless and nothing is going on, don't forget to open up the book. Choose to start.

I'm very fortunate to be headed to Kauai this weekend for a meditative adventure. That's right, I am going for both the silence, and the adventure. I am also trying to figure out how I will bring my technology with me so that I can continue writing this blog with the ease of my keyboard. Meanwhile, around me there are enough people with challenging situations that call upon their internal resources to keep to their commitments and ride the tide, so to speak. This is what has moved me to write this blog. None of the situations are the same, but a lot of tension is building.

Saturn in Libra is asking us to make decisions, or that we've made our decisions and now we have to ride out the challenges that arise by experiences that do not appear to be our own creation. Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury are all packed in Aries, opposing Saturn in Libra, squaring Pluto all equating to a "Wooahh intensity." All the while, the Sun, a fresh resident in the sign of Taurus (Earth) is the harmonizing point: Sun sextile Neptune (look for the higher purpose, deeper meaning and let go, surrendering to what is). Sun trine Pluto (Your life energy is being transformed and revolutionized, rapidly). Sun trine N. Node of the Moon (What is being required of you now on an essential level, has much future direction, and is providing the substance, or sustenance for the future). Moon square Neptune (Face illusions about the past, see the consequences of negative thought-habits or visions that repeat almost subconsciously, do you have any say in those?.... YES).

The bottom line is "resistance is futile." Recognize that the more you experience friction at this time, the more you are unnecessarily attempting to enforce your will. That is, allow your will be become aligned with what is needed for the greatest interest of all. You are unlikely to know what that is, so it's best to allow as much as you can. Step aside where needed, be useful in the most apparent and obvious ways, but stop there. Stop gently.

Much Love,
Ambermaize

Full Moon in Libra, April 17th - Mystic Rectangle

Full Moon in Libra

This full moon is in the sign of Libra. It’s an incredibly interesting and dynamic chart to look at. In astrology, the sun represents the masculine and the moon represents the feminine. When the two are in apparent opposition to one another, they “look” like they are on two separate sides from the earth’s view: the sun in Aries, and the moon in Libra. The moon gets the full illumination of the sun’s light. That’s why the whole circle is colored-in up there in the sky, bright light, to see at night. It’s a direct reflection. This phenomenon has been interpreted as a point of culmination in the solar/lunar cycle, and has descriptive meaning for the joining of masculine and feminine archetypes to “give birth” or manifest.

Indeed, the full moon is associated with fertility. The passage into life is often experienced as painful. I heard from a friend that scientists have put a microphone up to a caterpillar while erupting from out of its cocoon, and they have recorded what sounds like a “scream.” During human birth there are sounds from the mother who labors and delivers the child into this world. We are all familiar with that sound, because the cry mixed together with baby’s cry and both cries where heard in all 4 ears.

Moon, Language of the Subconscious

Symbolism is so very fun to work with because it is the language of the subconscious, and it’s mostly always at work, even when you aren’t. That’s its beauty, not to mention that symbolism is a way to connect with the source and spirit of everything—kind of like a dialogue that might not make sense to the logical mind. The rational mind is called “ration” or part, because that’s exactly what it is, only part.  To that extent we can say that the moon’s symbolism communicates to the subconscious mind; and, it’s the feminine aspect that gets credited with happenings around the full moon.

Venus, Love Nature

This full moon is in the sign of Libra, a feminine sign, and also a sign in astrology said to be ruled by Venus. See, in order to make the most of things, it’s important that we allow ourselves to experience it holistically, whatever that is, let it be viewed in a receptive sort of way. With Venus we can look to Goddess energy (which has its own active and receptive principles). She can be the Greek goddess Aphrodite or the Sumerian goddess of Inanna, among others. What's more important is that her symbol draws a distinction between the feminine archetype of mother (moon) who is fecund, and points more to the sensuous side of feminine beauty. What is being healed is the lower octave of Venus, the use and abuse of sensuality to manipulate and attract for the purpose and intention of overpowering another--causing harm. We know why we are afraid to love, to be intimate; it makes us vulnerable.  Here's one of my favorite quotes of all time to reflect on for the message of the higher octave of Venus:
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." ~Anais Nin
I think the vulnerability is worth it. That's not to say, don't be cautious. Be clear. Oh, be clear. Bloom in the full light of the Sun.

Mystic Rectangle

Also present in the chart is a lovely mystic rectangle: 2 sextiles, 2 trines, and 1 opposition. This really makes for some creative balancing. I don’t know how many people have noticed this, but I’ll use Albert Einstein as my example: he’s one of the greatest minds in human history, and no one denies that. But what society seems to deny, or maybe we just think it does, is that the mystical mind is not really a mind at all; in fact, it’s a director of mind. Albert Einstein--a pretty mystical guy--Allow me to quote him.

“The most beautiful and most profound experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the sower of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms - this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness.”
(Albert Einstein - The Merging of Spirit and Science)

Somehow, somewhere, or maybe only in retrospect did his credible experiences become manifest and evident to the “world’s view” of what is relevant, reverent, and irrelevant and irreverent.  Got all those words?  Words and symbols just never serve, but we use them to point to the fact that there is something observable beyond them.

What about a mind that doesn’t see the bigger picture, the unity of all things? Well, here it is from Elsie Wheeler’s Sabian symbols, the full moon’s degree symbol:  Libra 28: A man alone in deep gloom. Unnoticed, angels are coming to his aid (originally published by Marc Edmund Jones but recorded from http://www.sabiansymbols.com/article-detail2d45.html?id=1453).

At once we begin to experience a sense of relief. At once! We can sense that maybe someone or something else knows how to communicate and ask for help, even when we do not.
Herein lies the message of this full moon. Release. Expect the unexpected from an unknown source. It’s got a positive message for you, if you choose to see it. With this message, you can give birth to more harmony and abundance in your life. Attune yourself to this quality of receiving messages.

At this full moon with a Grand Trine (equilateral triangle) forming from Moon, to Chiron (wounded-healer), and the S. Node (past), we have a chance to heal our past wounds, and gently re-awaken our feminine side to love without restriction, while simultaneously maintaining your highest and purest ideals. In Libra, we can have compromise (give up an important part of ourselves) or we can have balance with others exactly as we are. This full moon says you can have your cake and eat it--and no one is harmed by that choice—in fact, it helps others if you do just that. Remember, that's just a metaphor. Don't take it literally. ;)

Many blessings,

Ambermaize

Retrograde Pluto: Hello Shadow! Let's Dance!

Pluto goes into Retrograde Station on April 9, 2011 at 7Capricorn30 and then Station’s Direct on September 16, at 4Capricorn53. I don’t think I realized it until this year that Pluto Retrograde is my favorite time of the year.  =)  usually lasting for about 6 months or half a year.  I might be realizing my good fortune now because Pluto stations retrograde conjunct my natal Part of Fortune, giving me ample opportunity to milk this one hardy and yet delicate spot on my birth-chart! Thank you, Pluto!

Pluto Retrograde: increased are the powers of personal regeneration.  Improved is one’s own potential for deep transformation.  Reduced is the outward expression of Pluto/Power, and obsession.  Increased is the ability to harness any powers that seem to be used against you, realizing that power is you. You are the resistance, and now take back your reigns. Make decisions that free you from any external power—psychic power, financial authority, personal power—power that you’ve given away to someone or something else over your deepest and darkest secrets and treasures.  I, personally, will never be a fortune teller nor a misfortune teller. Please do not see me for any of these reasons, ever.  I will tell you what I know (from knowledge and intuition), what I have learned (from study and from practice), and what I have experienced (from what I have felt in my heart to be true)--beyond that, I give you the message that liberates you:  It is up to you.  You are the master of your Universe.

Detachment from power is the most wonderful thing in the world. It’s the only way that you can look at ‘it’ and see it for what it really is. Detachment also triggers the allowance of true power to move through you—for it is not owned by anyone. What’s owned, nearest, dearest, and most accessible is just you, and it’s tremendously enough. More about retrograde movement comes from the best-selling Author and Astrologer Jeff Green—an expert on Pluto—from his trusty book I bought several, several years ago called, Pluto: the Evolutionary Journey of the Soul.

The correlative principle of retrogration can be defined this way: any planetary function (behavior) that is retrograde must be given an individual definition. The retrograde principle creates a reactive retreat from the status quo; from societal and collective definitions, expectations, and pressures to respond to life in conforming ways … .[ The] Pluto retrograde tends to place the emphasis on the desire to return [to] the Source of the Soul, or to evolve in a more accelerated fashion. Because of the individualizing effect of Pluto retrograde, the person must do that which they must do in their own way.

It’s at these times where we can do the most with our soul dissatisfaction, and move toward that which allows our souls to re-merge with “All that is.” Pluto has a lot to do with our unconscious tendencies, and our habitual modes. When looking at psychological issues in the astrological chart, we look at Pluto’s placement in the chart, its aspects, and the conditions of 4th and 8th houses among other places. Where Pluto is housed shows our resistance to change. Flip the coin over, and we have our transformative power coiled before us.

You may have noticed just how much energy we generate through resistance. You may not have realized this, in which case: please check out the Sedona Method and start releasing today. You may have become aware of this principle of resistance through martial arts training. Masters have cultivated the ability to resist nothing, and thereby direct everything.  “The Tao nourishes by not forcing. By not dominating, the Master leads,” Lao Tsu.

Pluto points out to us that place in life where we experience our greatest confrontation.  Use this retrograde-period as an excellent time to investigate your inner confrontations, seek out your inner-resistance, and become completely aware of the presence and source of power in your life. Any awareness or light shed on this subject helps you to maintain control over yourself.  The method you use to secure power suggests the path that you opt to take in this life.  Please always choose wisely. If it is over others, you are fooling yourself.  Penetrate this understanding very thoroughly.  See through the dark by penetrating fully any darkness within. The times we live in demand we become clear inside. Always seek a trusted master if you recognize that you will benefit from the courage and compassion of one who has walked the path. There are many masters but only your heart will know what is true for you.

Aries new Moon, April 3, 2011

Aries new Moon, April 3, 2011

The new moon will take place in the new moon chart’s 11th house, so the emphasis will be on starting projects, working in the community and with groups or associations, and finding a new orientation toward the desires and wishes of communities. The Ascendant is at Gemini sextile Jupiter in 11th, so there will be many opportunities with collective projects to discuss and communicate the vision for the future.

Saturn will be oriented in the 5th house in opposition to the new moon in the 11th, indicating that individuals will be challenged by obligations and other restrictions held by the domain of Saturn in Libra—restrictions are with authority.  Saturn in the 5th house also indicates major fear around taking risks because of the profound change that will come to relationships (Saturn square Pluto in 7th).

How this transit is dealt with will have a lot to do with the current maturity and development of the emotions of those involved (11th house moon trine N. Node). We may also be influenced by the feelings and suggestions of friends with regards to risk-taking, either with romance, art projects, children, or gambling and investments (5th house). In some cases, our responsibility to our children (5th house Saturn) or their issues will highlight the challenges we experience with our hopes and dreams.

Pluto in the 7th house sextiles, Neptune, Venus, and Chiron in the 9/10 houses of the new moon chart indicating that our future direction is unclear (Neptune) and we want to see more diplomacy and beauty (Venus). Nevertheless, while Pluto squares the Mars/Uranus conjunction during this new moon, plus or minus 2.5 days, there will be more unexpected uprisings with the pursuit to extricate individuals from powerful and oppressive governance and establishments (Pluto in Capricorn). Current societal power-constructs are very much under duress.

Sabian Symbol, from Elsie Wheeler for the new moon (Sun, Moon conjunction) is Aries 14: “A Serpent Coiling Near A Man And A Woman.” This symbol connotes the presence of temptation. It’s also the symbol of a powerful, healing energy presence.  Opposite this moon Saturn at Libra 14, Sabian symbol: Libra 14: “In The Heat Of The Noon, A Man Takes A Siesta.” Here’s the balancing point: Using one’s energy with wisdom. Preserve power, use it only when the environment supports that it will be most effective.  Also, the snake can coil for many reasons, sometimes protection, sometimes to prepare to attack, sometimes to keep warm. But the basic symbols are consistent. A man sleeping during noon is conserving his energy at a time when expending it would be most exhausting (when it’s most hot); and, a snake maneuvers itself into a coil or spring to increase its potential energy and position itself most effectively for attack.  One is reminded of “the metabolic cost of growth.” Be careful not to overdo, or waste potential energy. Use the conditions of your environment, consider the level of “heat” when deciding if it’s best to keep it cool and rest up.

Mercury Retrograde in Aries

Mercury Retrograde in Aries

On March 30, 2011, Mercury goes retrograde (Rx) in Aries during the planetary hour of Saturn. Mercury will retrograde at the Aries point of 24 degrees 21 minutes.  Traditional Aries associations tied with Mercury are impatience, impulsivity, and overall fast and full-force action.

During a retrograde phase, the apparent view of Mercury’s motion is backward.  Mercury’s apparent motion will turn direct on April 23, 2011. During the retrograde period the process is finding new solutions to old problems. Mercury retrograde is associated with delays in communication, travel, and scheduling. It’s a period allowing for re-thinking and re-doing. Mercury retrograde does not lend itself well to making new commitments (such as signing contracts) or starting new projects. It is simply a period for re-view.

At the point and time Mercury retrogrades, it will septile (51 degrees) Venus, Chiron, and Ceres in the sign of Pisces, sexile (60 degrees) Neptune in Pisces and trine (120 degrees) the transiting N.Node. What all that means is the following:

A septile aspect suggests the numinous, being 1/7 of 360 degrees, and expressing the 7th harmonic. We will review our artistic talents and concepts of healing and spirituality by reconnecting with areas in our lives where we experience a deep sense of purpose. Parent/child relations involve over-attachment, separation, or letting-go issues and we might receive or be seeking divine intervention with this. On a more mundane level, we need to be watching what we say and using our heads very pointedly to push through delays and stay on task. We may have moved too fast to begin with and need re-direct our energies into the most purposeful end result.
