Limited hours on Friday 18 & Saturday 19

I will be at a book festival this weekend. I will be taking calls on and off on Friday. Saturday, I most likely will not be on until about 10 pm in the evening. Thank you for understanding. :)

Had to put my cat Angel to sleep today.

I found Angel with three other kittens. They had their umbilical cords. It seemed their mother abandoned them. So, I bottle fed them but two died and the vet didn't know why. Angel and her sister Sophie were the only ones to survive. She was always trying to make friends with everything. Like my other cats not much of a hunter. She did like to use my back as a couch. I will miss her but I am so glad I knew her. She was 10 years old.

My cat Sammy has passed away...

 She was 13 years old and I found her in a garbage can when she was a kitten.

She was a very gentle, loving cat. She was so careful when she walked around my most delicate items on the shelf. I would even find her sometimes sleeping behind an item and would think to myself how could she get there without knocking everything over. She had eyes like a mystical being. And I always saw her as another worldly thing. I hope she moves on to a great life.

I will be on mostly in the evenings for Friday 11/14 & Saturday 11/15 because...

I will be speaking at a school to promote a book that I have illustrated. 
 
So, Friday I will be on Keen from 7pm to 1 am.
 
Saturday, I will be on and off Keen in the evening and will be logging off at 3 am.
 
I have to be at a book fair all day on Saturday.
 
 
Please, know that I will try and log on as much as I can.

My rat has passed away...

She was very old and a fighter; the last of 8. I had adopted family from a rescue group three hours from where I live. It was a mother rat and 7 of her baby girls. Her first owner saved her from a pet store where they were going to freeze her alive. So, her first owner smuggled her out. Then much to her surprise she gave birth to 7 girls and 3 boys. The first owner loved them very much but was in the army and had no one who could keep them while she was away.

When I went to adopt them the 3 boys had already been adopted. So, I took the rest. I couldn't separate a mother from her babies. They were a very sweet group of rats.

I will miss them very much.

My Cat Nikki passed away...

I will be on and off today. I need to arrange for his burial. 

 

Nikki was 11. When I had gotten him as a kitten. I had no idea what a giant cat he would become; 20 pounds but he never understood his size. He thought he was kitten size.  Nikki like my other pets had a heart of gold .  He loved to lay in my lap and just kneed. 

My heart will always have a special place for him always.
