In these times of adversity, it is important to determine where your planetary strengths and help lies, and make the most of it. In every chart there is the negative and the positive, and by knowing where our greatest obstacles will occur we can prepare for the future in a way that encompasses the total picture in a realistic fashion.  It is equally, if not more important to understand where our 'luck,' and good fortune will occur, enabling ourselves to take full advantage of it, for the time.
Jupiter-Known as the greater benevolent, this is the planet of finance and abundance.  Each Jupiter cycle lasts about a year, traveling through a particular area of our lives. It is here we often look for our greatest gain.  As long as we live, Jupiter will bring hope and expansion to whatever area of your chart it is currently in.
Saturn-Known as the taskmaster, creator of delays, issues and problems. Saturn cycles last two and a half years and in many cases we experience blocks and obstacles as it travels through a particular house of our chart.  In some cases, if Saturn is making a positive angle in our chart, we can experience some of greatest long term gain or commitment in a lifetime.
Uranus-The keyword for Uranus is 'expect the unexpected.' In a harsh angle, Uranus brings sudden, often shocking events that can be life altering or blast us out of our rut.  In a positive angle Uranus can bring unexpected benefit and gain and the ability to experience life in new ways.  It can bring unusual people into our lives.  It is the planet of the explosive incidents, or inspired vision and unexpected opportunity.  Uranus cycles last a year or more, taking 7 years to travel through each house of our chart.
Neptune- The planet of illusion, delusion or confusion in a harsh angle, or the highest creativity, spiritual moments, compassion or intuitive inspiration we can experience.  Neptune is the realm of the drug addict, the crack whore, the liar and the cheat, and alternatively it is the preacher, the quiet inner voice, the creative moment of inspiration a great movie is written, great beauty or unconditional love.  With Neptune in a harsh angle we often find ourselves with people whose intentions are not as they seem, or as we would want, and this is frequently the planet that signifies cheating or being cheated on. Neptune often dissolves what it touches.  Neptune cycles are lengthy often lasting up to two years in duration.
Pluto- Pluto rules the darkness, the unknown, corruption and evolution and the primal urges in our lives.  It is one of the planets of karma and destiny. It is the planet and the power of transformation.  When Pluto aspects a personal planet in our chart that area of our life will be transformed. In a harsh angle Pluto represents those forces beyond our control and in a positive angle, it can represent some of our greatest successes and achievements and will totally transform whatever area of our chart it is traveling. The current position of Pluto in Capricorn will last until 2024.
Only an experienced astrologer can forecast events relating to these most important planets
So, where does your luck and destiny lie?
I call it the 'ruthless force,' and it is the energy at work in our world. Saturn in Libra is squaring Pluto at 1 degree of Capricorn creating a dramatic effect in terms of power struggles, confrontations, oppressive forces and a buildup of explosive energy.

Saturn-Pluto is linked to nuclear energy, aggression, oil, and shortages. This transit also relates to the law, justice, financial institutions, and business in general. The last event that we can link to Saturn-Pluto energy was the period of 911, as Pluto in Sagittarius opposed Saturn in Gemini within 2 degrees.

The square from Saturn we are experiencing at this time is in the sign of Libra ruling the scales of justice, laws, and partnerships of all kinds.  Libra energy is always seeking balance and harmony and in doing so, is sometimes associated with 'wanting, or lack, thereof," as a direct result of the natural conciliatory nature of this sign. Libra's and Libra energy sometimes mean avoiding confrontation at all costs, therefore not defending one's actions, or demanding enough of what is actually called for.

Pluto in Capricorn is a direct clash with the Saturn energy in Libra, as Capricorn is ruled by Saturn,' the taskmaster,' and it's energy is harsher and less conciliatory. Pluto in Capricorn relates to the earth, oil, banking, and all business in general, and the two energies meeting up at this time create a definite clash.

This transit will be seen and felt on the world stage and in our individual lives as well, especially if you have a personal planet that is being aspected. On a national and international level the square involves clashes between governments, changes in alliances and partnerships, and the administration of justice. Saturn-Pluto relates to shortages, lack, intrigues and power struggles, secret investigations, changes in laws, and bringing to justice those who have broken the laws of society. It represents hard, unsympathetic attitudes, power struggles and plots, problems with corporate interests, insurance companies and a struggle against dishonesty and corruption, as well as paranoia, and the potential of situations that can turn deadly. It represents circumstances that have a sinister and foreboding nature, in general.  On the positive side, this square can create willpower and determination.

If your chart is being aspected by this transit you are undoubtedly experiencing stress, disharmony, shortages, and a feeling of 'forced change,' more so than other people.  You will feel the stress more acutely if you have a planet that is between 1-4 degrees of Aires, Libra, Cancer or Capricorn.

Saturn and Pluto square each other at 1 degree of Libra and Capricorn through November 18, and at 2 degrees of Libra and Capricorn November 25-November 30, and at 4 degrees of Capricorn January 21, 2010-February 10, 2010.  The two planets will be within 3 degrees of each other through mid March 2010.

The first week of November  the Sun and Mercury are in the sign that is the ruler of the eighth house of the zodiac.  The eighth house relates to sex and intimacy, the mysteries and the unknown, death and rebirth, taxes, other peoples money, insurance and inheritance. Scorpio is a fixed sign and any planetary energy that relates to this sign will be difficult to move or sway.  Opinions and ideas will be not easy to adjust, and surface answers will not be good enough.

Venus, the planet of love and money enters this tempestuous sign on Sunday, November 8, giving us 3 planets in Scorpio this month. Venus is Scorpio will add spice to the love life of those who are Cancer's or Cancer ascendants through December 2. Now is the time to circulate, respond to invitations, and if you are in a relationship, look for the situation to heat up.  If you are a Cancer this puts three planets in your house of love this month, increasing the chances of meeting someone new if you are single. Venus only stays in your fifth house for a 30 day period each year, so make the most of it!

Other signs that will benefit from Venus in Scorpio are Pisces, Virgo's, Capricorn's and of course Scorpio's and those with a Scorpio ascendant.  When Venus is in your own sign it is the month you are most attractive to potential suitors and it gives you an added zest in the way you came across to other's.
Things can really heat up on the 18th and 19th of the month as Venus and Mars square each other. While squares bring change and it is still possible to meet a new love, sparks can fly in existing ones, with issues coming to the forefront.  Alternatively, depending on your chart, sparks may fly and sizzle as Scorpio lives up to it's name as one of the most sensual of signs of the zodiac

Saturn, the planet of restriction, hard work, and ultimately growth, entered Libra October 29 after a two year stay in the sign Virgo, and this will bring about a significant shift in focus for the world and for all individuals.

Since September of 2007 Saturn, "the taskmaster," has tested our limits and demanded more in terms of critical issues relating to work, service to other's, health, nutrition and fitness.  We're not completely  finished with these issues as Saturn will return to Virgo for a final 4 month stay April 8-July 22, 2010.

As Saturn entered Libra  the energy  started  a slow shift toward more balance as Libra is the natural ruler of the seventh house of relationships and partnerships and it is in this area  our attention will turn. The downside to this is that collectively and as individuals, we may be less willing to stand up for our rights.

The ruling planet of Libra is Venus, and Saturn exalted in Libra meaning the planet is able to to express itself strongly.

So, while our attention will turn toward relationships and  partnerships of all kinds, it is important to remember that Saturn requires hard work to achieve success.  No pain, no gain. Relationships that have been unsuitable will probably end during this time, and strong relationships, will grow stronger. Saturn will test the limit, and weed out those individuals in our lives who no longer fulfill a purpose, and demand that we focus on relationships with a mature attitude.

Establishing new partnerships and strengthening existing bonds -- romantic, business and other alliances -- will be front and center. This will be a welcome change to those who've grown weary of solitude and self reliance. the challenge will lie in balancing your needs with those of your partner's, both personal and professional, in ways that create win-win relationships for all.

Words that describe Libra include Thoughtful, impartial, unprejudiced, conciliatory, foresight, justice, judicial, gracious, modest, refined, peacemaker, forgiving, generous, tactful, indecisive, uncertain, extreme, hesitating, susceptible, impressionable, illusive, pedantic, vain, aloof, and vacillating.

This year we've have already been scared enough by the economy, prices of food, gasoline, and world events. So,rather than being scared for Halloween, I have devised some ideas for costumes based on the individual sun signs that may lighten things up a little.

Aires-Red is the color associated with Aires, and since you're a devil anyway you may as well dress as one. Aires are known for their flashy personalities, so perhaps you could go as a red convertible.

Taurus-Taurus is stereotyped as a Mother earth type, and the color is green.  You're probably just an old hippie anyway, so drag out those bell-bottoms. Or, alternatively you could be the Jolly Green Giant.

Gemini-Gemini's are known as the twins, so it's a given that you will have to somehow dress as two of you. You can act like your friends are having double vision.

Cancer-The moon maiden.  This might present a pretty picture, and Cancer's are known for their culinary skills.  Perhaps you could go as a nice plate of pasta.

Leo-The lion..humm..that's too simple.  Leo's are known for their golden mane's so, perhaps a lion with really, really long blond hair?

Virgo-Known as the Virgin. Dare I say it? Would you go dressed in a chastity belt?

Libra-Libra's are all about relationships. So, you may go as yourself, but with a very large entourage of the opposite sex (or same sex) trailing behind you.

Scorpio-The God's/Goddess of Sex.  This opens up a really, really large can of worms.  Perhaps you might dress as a lady of the evening or her pimp?

Sagittarius- The Golden Archer. Well, the actual image of a Sag is a creature who is half man, and half horses ass. And don't forget to point your bow and arrow toward the moon.

Capricorn-The goat. Let's see..actual goats don't smell very good. You could deguise yourself by creating a mix of some really bad perfumes. Or, if you want to get literal, you could create your own mix by visiting a barnyard. Your friends would be speechless.

Aquarius- The water bearer. It's hard to find urns to pour from today, and they are expensive, but you could embrace your sign by lugging around 2,000 bottles of water. Or since one of the ruler's of Aquarius is Uranus, the planet of sudden explosive events, you could go as a train wreck or a bolt of lightening.

Pisces-The fish.  Which are you?  A minnow, a carp, a trout? Perhaps there is actually a shark lurking inside you with really big teeth. Oh, and there needs to somehow be two of you swimming in opposite directions. Schizophrenic fish would swim in opposite directions.

Venus trines Jupiter today becoming exact at 10:02PM EST.  This rare and pleasant transit will help to lighten the moon, and who couldn't use that, these days?  It is helpful in all money matters, including job hunting and any situation where money is involved.  It occurs at 18 degrees of Libra and if this sets off a personal planet in your chart it could mean you meet a new person/love interest, or close the deal on a financial matter.

Socializing is favored in general and it is a good night to go out for entertainment.  The only downfall is that you could overindulge, and as with all Jupiter-Venus transits eat or drink too much or fritter away the day and waste the positive energy.  I would encourage anyone looking for a job to use the energy constructively.

The planet Mars represents our actions, strength, force,  courage, and desires. It represents our sexual nature, and  men. Mars is ruled by the signs Aries and Scorpio, and it's manifestation can be constructive or destructive depending upon the nature of the aspect it is making in the natal chart.

Mars takes about two years to travel through the 12 signs of the zodiac, and stays in each individual sign for about 40 days.

On October 17, 2009, Mars entered  the sign Leo, where it will travel for the next eight months. Leo is the natural ruler of the fifth house of children, friends, love affairs and entertainment, so Mars in Leo will  relate to these matters in general, and there will be a focus relating to the issues of children on a collective basis.

Mars will retrograde at 19 degrees on December 20, 2009 until March 11, 2010.  At that time it will resume it's forward action completing it's cycle in Leo until June 6, 2010.

When Mars retrogrades people often complain of low energy, and subtle forms of manipulation can occur within personal relationships. Projects and situations can slow down, or be put on the back burner. When Mars slows down and become stationary retrograde, or when it begins to move forward after a retrograde, combative or combustive energy can occur. When Mars retrogrades it is a time to step back, and slow down the energy.
    .
Mars goes stationary retrograde at 19 degrees of Leo on December 10- December 30, 2009, and if it is  creating a harsh angle to a personal planet in your chart between 16 and 21 degrees (planets in Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus) you may experience combustive or combative energy on a personal level.  Mars creating a hard angle in your chart  can also be responsible for accidents, sickness, colds, chills and fevers.

Mars retrogrades back  to 0 degrees on February 28, 2010 until March 21, 2010, and again if is creating a conjunction or harsh angle to a personal planet you will experience a lengthy period of stress or combative/combustive energy. Mars goes stationary direct on March 10, 2010 at 0 degrees it will only advance to 2 degrees by the end of the month.  Again, if this is hitting a personal planet in your chart between 0-4 degrees you will experience tension/stress or potential sickness and it is accident prone. By May 16, 2010 Mars will reach the 19 degree mark, where it went retrograde  in December, 2009.

Mars in Leo will affect the Sun Signs by the house placement it is in. Those most affected will be Leo's, Taurean's, Scorpio's and Aquarian's.

Aires-5th/11th house axis- children, love affairs, friends and entertainment,.corporations, groups, hopes and wishes

Taurus-4th/10th house axis -the home, beginnings and endings, family, career and priorities

Gemini-3rd/9th house axis- short trips, the mind, immedeate family members, the neighborhood, education, publishing legal and medical matters.

Cancer-2ond/8th house axis-Money, earned income, self image, taxes, insurance, other peoples money, inheritance,  and sex

Leo-1st/7th house axis-  personal new beginnings and relationships and partnerships
Mars in Leo for 8 months willl indicate new beginnings for Leo's and when it retrogrades, changes of mind, or false starts before moving forward.

Virgo12th/6th house axis- hospitals, institutions, the subconscious mind, hidden enimies, work and health

Libra-11th/5th house axis-Groups, friends, hopes and wishes, organizations, children, friends, love affairs, entertainment

Scorpio-10th/4th house axis-Career, priorities, the home, foundation, beginnings and endings.

Sagittarius-9th/3rd house axis-travel, education, legal and medical matters, higher mind, immediate family members

Capricorn-8th/2ond house axis-Taxes, other people's money, secrets, inheritance, corporate finance, change and transformation, income, self-image

Aquarius 7th/1st house axis-relationships, partnerships. Relationships may begin or end. Lawsuits, and known enemies, courts

Pisces-6th/12th house axis-work, animals, health and fitness, the subconscious mind, institutions, things secret and hidden.

President Barack Obama has declared the H1N1 outbreak a national emergency. The White House said Mr. Obama signed a proclamation that would allow medical officials to bypass certain federal requirements, and described it as similar to ramping up ahead of a hurricane before it makes landfall. News agencies report Swine flu is more widespread now than it's ever been, and has resulted in more than 1,000 U.S. deaths so far.

Astrologically, this is signified by Jupiter and Neptune. Jupiter and Neptune joined together in a conjunction, spring of this year, when the virus first started to occur. Jupiter/Neptune relates to infectious diseases that can spread quickly. Jupiter increases anything it touches and Neptune rules colds, lung trouble and contagious diseases, and recuperative power may be weak. This aspect first occurred May 10-June 11 of this year, as I reported on April 29. Neptune is currently at 23 degrees of Aquarius, and Jupiter is direct at 17 degrees, giving the planets a 6 degree orb. The virus will continue to spread as Jupiter continues to move forward toward Neptune, reaching a peak December 20-25 of this year.

This transit occurs in the 8th house of the USA, meaning there will continue to be fatalities, and statistics may be worse than originally anticipated. Children especially will be at risk, and this is shown astrologically by the fact that Mars has entered the sign Leo, the natural ruler of the fifth house of children. Mars will be in this sign for the next 8 months, as the planet retrogrades this year. Mars relates to fevers and infections and inflammatory complaints.

If you read my post on October 16, you understand the upcoming square between Saturn and Pluto relates to issues involving the media, among other situations and events in the world.  As these planets come within exact orb of each other, (orb-the space within which an aspect is judged to be effective.) and the energy of conflict builds, events begin to transpire long before the planetary angles become exact, the time of which is now. The conflict energy of Saturn (the planet ruling structure  restriction, and Democrats) and Pluto (rules the media) is becoming evident as the President slammed Fox News yesterday for biased coverage, and CNN and Fox clashed earlier this fall over the authenticity of coverage over the 'tea baggers' march on Washington. Today, October 19, it was announced that New York's biggest newspaper was cutting newsroom jobs, and that journalists are now being denied access to Guantanamo Prison. Additionally, if you watch national news coverage, it was reported yesterday that Democrats are meeting behind closed doors over proposed health care reform.

Both of these situations can prove dangerous to American's as the First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech and lack of interference from the government, and the President promised transparency in Government while running for election. Journalists are expected/obligated to provide fair and unbiased coverage. As the square between Pluto and Saturn increases between now and November 18, (as well as several more times next year), we will see these situations escalate, and it will be up to American's to respond to their elected officials to prevent our freedoms from being curbed. The First Amendment states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

In terms of transparency in Government a quick look at President Obama's chart indicates the following: Uranus opposes Mars-This is a transit of great disharmony, and can indicate rash impulsive action, outbursts of temper and conflicts with groups and organizations, as well as conflict over joint finances, taxes, corporate and financial affairs, as well as the desire to overthrow the existing power structure. It puts him at a disability in terms of achieving what he actually wants, and during this time events of an unexpected nature will occur. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of speech. It is also called the accidental transit.
Neptune conjunct Ascendant-A transit that can indicate idealism, rouse the idealistic nature, and can represent secrecy in personal actions.  Neptune opposing Uranus-This can intensify or create a desire for idealistic situations, but Neptune is the planet of confusion, delusion and illusion. It is in the President's 7th house of partner's and it is likely those who surround him, or those who he turns to for advise may disappoint. It means the individual may go his own way in the face of all reason. Pluto opposing Venus-Pluto rules the media, and an opposition represents struggles the individual perceives coming from other's. Venus is one of the planet's representing money and wealth. These are all considered major transits and their influence extends well into 2010.  (For further reading on the President's chart and these transits read the post titled "President Obama and the Big 3:Uranus, Neptune and Pluto."
On October 30, 2009 Saturn enters the sign of Libra.  New York based Astrologer Mitch Lewis sent out his newsletter this morning, and I wanted to share parts of it.  "Saturn is about to enter Libra, the sign where it is exalted. It will square Pluto three times in the coming year, and this is an aspect unto itself that demands our attention. Because Saturn will also oppose Uranus at zero degrees Libra, this will set up a most powerful t-square that I will continue to discuss throughout the coming months. It culminates in July 2010, a period that may produce some very interesting and difficult situations in the world.

Saturn will square Pluto this month for the first of its three passes. The second pass is on January 31st 2010 and the third is August 21st 2010. Near any of the three passes there could be an event that would signal the stress that is buried within the collective. When a square is set up it tends to test situations that began on the conjunct or opposition. In 2001 Saturn opposed Pluto, setting up the energy necessary for the 9/11 attacks. Now they are in square. What have we learned since then? And what will we learn from the coming tests. The F.B.I. recently broke up what seems to have been a cell or group of cells concentrating on (where else) New York City. That shows just how intense the energy is as this square begins. Our heightened awareness and recognition of our vulnerability is one way our society has changed since that opposition. I certainly hope we are able to prevent another situation, but time will tell. As always I am just as concerned about the affects another attack could have on our civil liberties. For Americans being free is perhaps more important than being safe, although we shouldn’t have to choose between the two. In New York City they are putting cameras everywhere. It’s a bit disconcerting to realize that you are being watched all the time. I do hope our elected officials (Republicans or Democrats) understand that 1984 was a cautionary novel, not an instruction manual.
The last pass of this square on August 21st 2010 occurs shortly after the last pass of Saturn opposite Uranus at zero degrees cardinal. That square completes at 2 degrees Aries 57 minutes. America’s Venus is 3 degrees Cancer 06 minutes. Could it be any closer? And as we know, it is the inner planets that set off events influenced by the outer planet.  Venus has much to do with our agriculture and food supply, as well as our collective wealth in general. We could have some difficulty with food, perhaps as a result of changes in the environment. I am quite sure that next summer will be one of those dips I spoke of in the markets. How deep a dip depends upon how deep the pool is.

Saturn rules the housing industry and the banks. Its journey through Virgo resulted in an auditing of the banking industry, exposing its decaying underbelly and demanding a reckoning. The government of and by the people is ruled by Aquarius, and its co-rulers Uranus and Saturn. It was the combination of the two planetary influences that led to the government’s bail out of the banking industry. Uranus sought unusual solutions to the problem, and Saturn created a seemingly secure foundation upon which those changes could be instituted. Just how secure it really is will be seen in time. Now as Saturn begins its trip through Libra we may see a balancing of the financials markets (real or not) and a return to the laissez-faire approach. After all, Libras do not enjoy direct confrontations and would be apt to accept compromises in the name of peace. That would be a big mistake. It was a warped system of economics that brought us to this precipice, and one more jolt could send us reeling for years. In July 2010 about a trillion dollars of commercial debt comes due. Nobody, not even people in the industry, seems to know what to expect, but with the complicated and stressful transits we will face next summer I have little doubt that there will be a price to pay. And as always, it is the middle class that will pay it, one way or another.

I find it interesting that GM has decided to ditch the Saturn car company just when we need more foundation, structure, stability (in other words, more Saturn) in our culture. Decisions made by a strong portion of the collective (such as the de-planetisation of Pluto) have profound implications that should not be ignored. The death of the Saturn automobile is a metaphor for our inability to deal with our responsibilities as a society.

By now we all realize that much of the wealth accrued over the past several decades simply did not exist. It was paper money built on packaged debt sold and resold again and again. It was all Jupiter and Neptune, not Saturn.

We will finally pass a health care reform bill and it will be a toothless tiger. Without a public option there will be little reform at all. Now, most people pay a $20 co-pay. It is only a matter of time before the insurance industry passes the increased expenses that any reform costs them onto the consumer, and we will all be paying $50 to see a doctor. This isn’t reform, it’s a shell game.

There is some optimism that things may have bottomed out financially. That is not the case. Jupiter will conjunct Neptune for the last pass on December 21st 2009, and until that aspect passes and a sense of reality reenters our collective consciousness, I wouldn’t put too much credibility in any runaway rally in the stock markets. But there is a way to make money investing in this economy. I think we are in an era similar to the period of1966 – 82 when we had a bear market for 16 years. Every time the markets ran up, they failed. They made new highs twice only to collapse. The “dip” of 1973-5 is a perfect example of what I expect to occur during the coming decade. Right after that precipitous plunge they began a rally from 577 up to 1,014. Then they dropped several more times. The DOW closed out 1965 at 910. They closed in 1982 at 884. That, boys and girls, is a 16 year bear market. You can not buy and hold stocks indefinitely now, unless you are young and looking 20 years down the road. Stocks should be bought, held while the markets are rallying, and then they should be sold and profits should be taken. Then when the markets dip again they can be re-bought. (You may not be able to do so in your retirement accounts.) I have seen many savvy traders get wiped out trying to pick the tops or bottoms of a market. The smarter ones showed patience and took a nice piece out of the middle. --Mitch Lewis

President Obama is talking tough to insurance companies, and no one covers it better than the Huffington Post.

From an astrological perspective, the President has the planets to get tough with with  insurance companies with Uranus opposing Mars through the end of the year.  The transit becomes exact November-December of this year.

Uranus opposing Mars  can mean outbursts of temper, and often relates to conflicts with established organizations, and over joint finances and monies, including insurance and taxes. It usually creates a desire to overthrow existing power structures. It is often called the 'accidental transit,' because it sometimes coinsides with accidents, injuries, and is in every way a transit of disharmony, and possible physical danger.

Today, Saturday, October 17, the energy of President Obama's New moon  at 24 degrees in Libra is clearly making an impact in his actions and the actions of those who surround him. The New Moon falls in his 9th house, ruling legal matters, governmental matters and the medical profession.  It creates a square (squares represent difficulties) to Saturn, which represents the status quo. (Insurance companies)  The New Moon as well as the Sun, trine Uranus in his chart representing a new and different approach.  Uranus is the planet of upheaval and rebellion.

Mars opposes Jupiter for the next 3 days, representing the President's desire to change existing laws (anti-trust exemptions) and the way the medical profession operates, and it is likely we will hear more on this subject through the first of the week.

The New Moon in Libra falls at 24 degrees on Sunday, October 18th at 1:33 A.M. EST.Libra is the ruler of the 7th house of relationships, marriage and partnerships and represents the law.

New moons represent a time of new beginnings and this new moon is particularly relationship oriented. New relationships can begin, and in some cases, if the situation is unhealthy or unsatisfactory a relationship may be dissolved. Relationships and partnerships of all types will be a focus, in general.

The new moon is in a harmonious angle to Neptune, the planet representing spirituality, compassion and creativity, so for many it may be an uplifting experience. The Sun as well, is in harmonious aspect to Neptune, creating inspiration, and it is  a positive energy if you are involved in anything creative.  Intuition and compassion may be at an all time high, as well as an interest in metaphysics or spirituality.

Of course, the new moon or any other transit exerts it's own individual influence depending on where it falls in your chart.  Below is a list of how it will affect the Sun Signs.  If your know your ascendant you should read both.

Aires-It's all about relationships, for better or worse. It can be a time of new beginnings, or endings, depending on what else is happening in your chart.  Usually someone makes an overture toward you.

Taurus-Work and health will be in focus, and it is a great time to start a new health or fitness regime.

Gemini-The new moon falls in your 5th house of relationships, friends and children.  It's a great weekend for a night out on the town. Celebrate!

Cancer-the 4th house rules the home, foundation, and beginnings and endings.  There is also a focus on career.

As October draws to a close, Saturn, the planet of restriction, delays, hindrances and obstacles enters Libra after a two and a half year stay in the sign of Virgo. Virgo is the natural ruler of the 6th house of health and work, and wherever Saturn treads, stumbling blocks occur. Thus, we can blame Saturn in Virgo to a great extent, for the slowdown in the global economy/workplace, and the issues relating to healthcare in the US.

Saturn will remain in Libra until April 9, 2010 when it will return to Virgo for it's final 4 month stay, reentering Libra on July 22, 2010, where it will remain until October of 2012. Libra is the natural ruler of the seventh house of partners and partnerships, law and justice. It's ruler is Venus, the planet of beauty, love and money. It is a cardinal sign, meaning the energy of Saturn in this sign will make itself felt readily and intensely. It is in these areas we will be challenged as the planet of restriction enters the 7th sign of the zodiac. Saturn was last in Libra September of 1980-August of 1983.

During the time Saturn is in Libra, relationships will change personally and on the world stage. Issues relating to gay marriage will be debated and decided during this time. New alliances will be created, and old ones may change or end. Laws and justice will change as well, and those who have contributed to the financial debacles over the past several years will be sought out and called to task in many cases.

What is most significant as Saturn enters Libra, is the fact that from October 30-June 19 it squares Pluto in Capricorn, exact at 0-1 degrees. November 25-November 30 it squares Pluto at 2 degrees, January 21, 2010 it squares Pluto at 4 degrees until February 10, 2010. Other squares will occur in 2010 and ultimately Uranus, the planet of sudden, unexpected change will add it's mix to the pot in May of 2010.

This is a difficult transit, harsh in nature, and will effect both individuals and the world we live in. The transit represents frustrated ambitions, shortages and lack, and the potential for major earth/catastrophic situations connected to the earth. Pluto rules oil and we are likely to see changes and or situations relating to oil and the rise or fall of gasoline/oil prices. Now is the time for those who can do so, to seek out alternative energy sources.

By it's nature, this transit is often associated with violent incidents and aggressive, destructive forces. At it's worst it can be associated with death. Astrologically, the Middle East is a powder keg and could explode on any of the given dates. Pluto is an extreme force, ruling death and rebirth, cruelty, manipulation, guilt. It rules governments and nuclear energy. It also rules sex and the media, and it is likely there will be focus on all of the above. Ultimately, Pluto transforms.

As Saturn squares the 'God of the Underworld,' we are likely to see little growth and continued frustration in the world economy. Filmmaker Michael Moore was on Larry King Live recently, and pointed out that 95 per cent of the wealth in the world is controlled by 5 percent of the population. Some of the major entities that control wealth are banks, credit card companies, insurance companies, and oil companies, to name a few. Saturn squaring Pluto will mean the rules governing many of these institutions, and the way they do business will have to change. As with any Pluto transit the change will come voluntarily or by force. Pluto relates to the collective masses: all of us, and Saturn represents structure, the past and what we know. The collective masses will demand change from those institutions and entities that are working on the basis of unfair practices, such as credit card companies that charge interest in the 30 percent plus range and insurance companies that deny affordable coverage. But, these wealthy entities will not embrace change, and a period of turmoil will occur.

Past history provides an idea of what to expect when Saturn and Pluto clash. In 1931 when Pluto in Cancer opposed Saturn in Capricorn we saw the rise of Hitler and the Great Depression. 1940 saw Pluto in Leo squaring Saturn in Taurus and the start of WW11. 1947 brought the two planets together in Leo and the subsequent bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Pluto in Virgo opposing Saturn in Pisces in 1965 saw the beginning of the Vietnam war, and 1982 brought a near nuclear crisis when the USSR was erroneously informed the US and it's Allies were staging an actual attack, that was in fact a military exercise. In 2001 Saturn in Gemini was opposing Pluto in Sagittarrius within 2 degrees when the world trade center was bombed.

This is not an easy time. Outer events could manage to challenge you at every turn You may have to move carefully and with patience to avoid explosions and anger, and try to create peace and harmony in your own environment and life.

An astrological reading can predict all major life events, but many of those seeking readings want to know when they will find love. Astrology is a blueprint of your life that was created at the moment of your birth, and the transits of the planets that bring you together with the most important people you will ever meet, were set into motion the moment you were born.

Venus and Mars are the day to day rulers of your love life. When Mars or Venus goes into a sign that's favorable to you, your chances of meeting someone special increase as well as social activity in general. When Mars and Venus go into the same sign, and it happens to be your Sun sign or in your 5th or 11th houses of love affairs, or friends, hopes and wishes Watch out! This time is extra special to you, as this duo doesn't dance often, and relationship opportunities will be at an all time high. To predict long-lasting love, of course we must look at all the factors in your chart to make an accurate prediction.

To understand how special Mars and Venus are together, in duo, the two will not be appearing again until July 10-29, 2010 when they are both in in Virgo, giving that Earth sign their greatest chance/oportunities in a long time. Other Earth Signs: Taureans and Capricorn's will benefit as well as the three Water signs, Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio.

In terms of the rest of 2009, Venus is in Virgo, favoring that sign until October 14, and Cancer's, Pisces, and Scorpio's are favored as long as Mars is in Cancer until October 16. On October 17, Mars (the God of War, Action, Men and Sex) enters Leo for an 8th month stay! Mars in usually in each sign for about 40 days, but this time the God of Sex stays in fiery Leo until June 6th, 2010. It's goes retrograde on December 20, meaning the love energy slows down, issues come to fore, and problems are resolved one way or another when it goes direct on March 9th, 2010 at 0 degrees of Leo. It moves to 1 degree of Leo on March 22 and 2 degrees on March 28. This means if you have a personal planet, Sun sign,. Mars or Venus within 1-4 degrees of Aires, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius you can expect someone to make a big impression on you. If you have a planet in one of these signs in the 5-10 degree range someone special will make an impression in April 2010. Mars remains in Leo until June 6, 2010, giving Leo's quite a ride in terms of new beginnings in their personal lives, perhaps including several false starts.

This Mars period will be especially favorable for Aires, as the fireball of love and entertainment moves into their fifth houses for this period. Aire's stand a great chance of finding love and fun during these eight months. Also favored/strongly, affected by Mars lengthy stay will be Aquarians, Gemini's, Libra's, and Sagittarius.

On October 15, Venus enters Libra helping these Air signs find love. Libra and Leo go will together from October 15 until November 7th, and this combination is good for Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius, Aires, Gemini and of course Leo's.

On November 8th, Venus enters Scorpio until December 1, and favors the Water signs (Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio), and lending a hand to the Earth signs(Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus).

December 2, Venus enters the sign ruled by Jupiter itself, the planet of expansion, wealth and opportunity. That is Sagittarius, and these Fire signs will have a great month with exceptional opportunities, with Mars in Leo along side. Also favored are other Fire signs (Aires and Leo), and coming in second are the Air signs, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

December 26 until December 31, 2009 Venus is in Capricorn, casting a warm glow and soft light upon these individuals and enhancing their chances of finding love. With Venus in Earthy Capricorn, her friends in, Virgo, Scorpio, Pisces, and Taurus, have a shot at the brass ring this week as well.

But, none will remember New Year's Eve like Cancer's and Capricorn's because on that night we will experience the last lunar eclipse of the year at 10 degrees of Cancer. This means it is on the 1/7th house cusp for Cancer's and Capricorn's indicating major events/changes in terms of partnerships/relationships. Happy New Year. And the dance goes on.. .

Mercury went stationary retrograde at 21 degrees of Virgo on Tuesday the 29th of September, and will remain at this degree until tomorrow when it slowly starts to move forward again. Situations often get a little more confusing at the end of a retrograde Mercury when it goes stationary direct, before it moves forward again at it's regular 1 degree per day clip. Author Carol Rushman says a stationary direct Mercury in Virgo, " will express the energy in an analytical way.The mind is organized.Opinions are reached after much consternation and thought. The need for perfection, however, may delay decision-making. People will be exceptionally picky and critical. They can be critical of others', but are usually hardest on themselves."

Do not expect miracles because Mercury has gone direct this week. If projects were delayed when the planet of communication went backward, it may take until Mercury reaches the point it turned retrograde which would be about mid-moth, at 6 degrees of Libra on October 14. We are into the full moon energy, and this lunar event occurs at 11 degrees in the Cardinal sign of Aries on Sunday October 4th at 2:10 A.M. EST.

This is a full moon to take seriously. When a planet is in a cardinal sign the energy acts swiftly and is more public and apparent. Aries is ruled by Mars, the God of War, and is all about the 'self.' In other words, used constructively, it can be a time of new beginnings on a personal level, and moving forward. On a negative level, to much self can translate into self-centeredness and we may experience this energy through other peoples' actions or aggressiveness. Aries is a fire sign and it will not be a moon for wallflowers. Many people may be looking for an opportunity to express their ego's, consciously or unconsciously.

The full moon is further compounded by the fact that the planet of communication (Mercury) opposes Uranus on Sunday and Monday October 5th/6th. This aspect occurred earlier on September 22. It is a fractious aspect, and you may fight the urge to say things you may later regret.Think before you speak. If your mind is racing, slow down. Be careful of accidents while driving and traveling in general. On the world stage we are likely to see drama unfold as the full moon in the sign ruling the God of War reaches it's peak we may see additional military action, or threats of military action, and aggravation that is apparent in the world. When Mercury last opposed Uranus on September 22, we saw Qaddafi and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad both give speeches at the G-20 that stirred unrest. As Mercury rules transportation, we also saw the arrest of an alleged terrorist that officials say was planning to blow up Grand Central Station. It is possible we will have more news relating to this situation or other transportation related situations, as well as unusual/dangerous situations relating to weather.
