UNDERSTANDING READINGS:
As a professional psychic,
one of my most important forums is Keen.
It is a wonderful system and designed to be a leader in its
Industry. It is convenient, and by
and large, run with very solid business ethics. For the subcontractors (aka Advisors), no one can compete
with their competence in marketing and forum. For both Advisor and Client, opportunity is given to select
whom you will interact with. This
is a “given”, but it bears mentioning and is frequently taken for granted. As a veteran to the Industry, I do NOT
take it for granted.
Moving forward, in these
times of money and saving it being of emphasis, the “rush” of getting a quick
fix reading and saving has become popular. While, all Advisors understand this and attempt to work
within these confines, there is only so much that can be done, practically
speaking. Spirit delivers at the
speed it delivers, and can vary widely.
Astrological charts take a moment to be pulled up and analyzed,
etc. What is very important for a
Client to remember is to never under emphasize their own ability to discern
when they are getting an accurate reading for themselves, but also to
recognize whether or not they are giving an Advisor a fair opportunity to do a
good job.
There are wonderful, talented
Advisors on Keen. There are also
charlatans, unfortunately. The
difference will show itself, if you are smart about the way you seek guidance. This applies to both the psychic and
astrology sections. (Please
see my blogs: How To Get A Good
Reading, Parts I and II.) It is
the clients’ responsibility to determine who is right for them. This cannot be done in 5 minute or
less readings, typically.
If you contact an Advisor and ask generalized questions
that are not exactly what you really want to know, then you are setting
yourself up for a session that may not be satisfying.
Ex. – #1 - “I want a love reading, tell me how
s/he feels.” YOU ARE BLOCKING
ENERGY WITH THIS and sound like everyone else calling – but you’re not everyone
else, you’re unique – communicate that.
As opposed to,
Ex. #2 - “My name is X, I
have an involvement with Y. S/he
has done A, but then turns around and says B. I am very confused and would like to get to the bottom of
what is going on and really understand what s/he feels.” WIDE OPEN ENERGY.
If the Advisor has a question
or two, so be it! They are working to fill in the gaps so
that they can answer you thoroughly.
Give the Advisor YOU chose a chance. NOW YOU CAN GET A THOROUGH READING.
In the first example, you are
blocking energy and effectively hiding what you need to know. If you approach a reading in an open
fashion, disclose the true meaning of your call / what is weighing on your mind
and heart, and then find that you are talking to someone that you “can feel in
your gut” to be playing the averages (as I refer to those that are not using
their psychic ability, if they have any at all, when they answer a client),
then you have now learned valuable information. This is not the Advisor for you – they may be psychic, they
may not be – but you know they are not the one for you.
Approaching a reading with
the intent of “hiding” the details of your concerns will put you in a position
of not getting as valuable of a reading as you might have otherwise.
Sometimes, we break through anyway. Frequently, we cannot though. This is an unfair position to put an Advisor in, and the
client has not done their half of the job to insure a good reading. Economics aside, if you’ve dialed the
phone and are paying money – give your Advisor every opportunity to do a good
job for you. If you call blocking
circumstance and energy (or cannot speak clearly for fear of being overheard in
your environment), it is similar to complaining about a painter not painting
your bedroom when you refuse to let him into your house. Spirit is VERY respectful – if you
block it, Spirit won’t go to it.
Be practical. If you are calling several advisors a
week, and some are every day, having 3 minute or less readings (what I call
“bubble gum readings”) then you are not giving yourself, your circumstances or
your checkbook a fair advantage and are essentially wasting your time and
money. Be present and be aware of what
you are doing.
FEEDBACK:
Feedback is designed to help
the Advisor know how they are doing AND to communicate to other potential
clients the worthiness of the Advisor.
Because no one pleases everyone all the time, and if they do there is a
concern, then you should see an occasional bad rating every 2 - 5 pages of
feedback. There is great concern
about an Advisor that is receiving bad feedback every page – be aware. But for the most part, those that are
truly gifted, working every day, open to anyone who calls will and SHOULD have
an occasional bad rating. Believe
it or not, THIS IS GOOD.
If you choose to leave
feedback, your JOB is to be reasonable and objective.
Many, just like you, are
reading it. YOU are guiding THEM
through this vast system. Be
ethical and objective. Wouldn’t
you want that when choosing an Advisor?
It is my opinion that no one receiving a reading from an Advisor new to
them that is less than 5 minutes should write feedback at all. We are now back to the “bubble gum readings”,
and for an Astrologer, at the 5 minute mark, we have just now been able to pull
up your chart and begin to really intelligently analyze and communicate their
analysis. (This pertains to
clients who are new to the Advisor and / or are infrequent clients. If you’re a “regular” and just spoke
with your Advisor in the last 48 hours – this may not be pertinent unless
diving into a new subject matter.)
If you call an Advisor
already angry, looking to take it out on another, and / or not interested in
getting a sound reading generally – you likely should not be leaving any
feedback and are doing your fellow reading seekers a great injustice. You’ve served no one any purpose, and
most of all yourself.
Be reasonable, fair,
objective and ethical – the very things you look for in an Advisor.
And under no circumstances,
take to a new Advisor to you your poor experiences with another. Give ALL a fair shot to do a good job
for you. CLEAN SLATE.
I’ll give you a good example
of irrational feedback. I got a
call on my Astrology listing (I’m mostly a psychic, empath, telepath) but am
competent in the planets. This was
a new client to me. Her question
was if I’d speak to a deceased relative.
This has ZERO to do with Astrology….but okay. Wow. I explained
to her that she is looking for a Medium and that it is a highly specific genre
of psychic that I don’t do (nor do I advertise it anywhere). I apologized that it wasn’t one of my
gifts and gave her a referral to a colleague I know to do this particular type
of work. She was charged for ONE
minute. Keep in mind she got
useful information seemingly unknown to her for that ONE minute. What did she do? You guessed it, she 1 starred me. Not only does she do a disservice to
me, but more importantly, to her fellow information seekers.
This is one of thousands
examples I could give based on my own experiences and those of my colleagues
whom I know to be gifted and respect.
I, like you, am very choosy about whom I speak with and keep in my company.
Another thing I’ll never
understand is why any client would leave the NOTES of their reading in
feedback. Aside from the strange
disclosure of personal circumstance, no one reading it wants to hear it. I’m not referring to “s/he said x would
happen” and it did. That is good
feedback. I’m referring to “she
said he is having x problem, would call in 2 days, will go on the vacation
without me…..but things will be better thereafter.” WHAT? The
purpose of the feedback system is totally lost to these that do this very
strange (and self involved) practice.
Use your Word doc application or a pen and a notebook to take notes –
WHICH I STRONGLY RECOMMEND. Your
notes have nothing to do with feedback.
We’ve all read this sort of thing.
We all scratch our head when we see it.
Also recognize, everyone is
wrong sometimes. There is no such
thing as 100% accuracy. If 100%
(or 99%) accuracy is printed by the Advisor, in my view, there’s already a
problem. Our work is that of
HUMILITY. No one in the flesh is 100%
accurate, ever on anything. Don’t
expect it or you will be eternally upset.
Find an Advisor or two or three that are very good at getting into YOUR
energy and YOUR circumstances.
Also, always remember that the Advisor who can read you like a champ on
your love life, may or may not be the Advisor to read your Finances. There is great variance here. Again, I’m back to you must approach
intelligently and objectively.
Be thankful for the Advisor
whom you ask an occasional question of who states, “I don’t know”. THAT is HONESTY and you now know you’re
dealing with someone of HIGH ethics.
There are those that will start weaving ‘stories” because they are
literally afraid to tell you they are not getting a “hit” on your
question. BIG PROBLEM. And I’ve gotten 1-starred for saying “I
don’t know”. That’s okay. I will NOT compromise my ethics. My bi-line of “every question has an
answer” is true. BUT – it assumes
the question is viable – shockingly many ask questions that are not based in
reality (i.e. – “there was a car in his driveway, why is he cheating on
me?” Vehicles in driveways and
cheating are not necessarily one in the same. If an Advisor jumps on your cheating bandwagon instantly and
without pause, and you are one who is cheating sensitive / accusatory to begin
with – Ehhhh… you may not be getting objective advice.) OR an Advisor tells you
“I don’t know” because it’s simply not yet written – an answer will come but
Spirit does not want the Seeker to yet know (likely for good reason). It’s frustrating for both Advisor and
Client if the answer is “I don’t know” but be very thankful for the ethical
Advisor wiling to say this to you and risk bad feedback. It’s very high ethics.
Be careful of leaving
negative feedback (aka “bashing”) for an Advisor you generally like and has
done a good job for you, because you’re having a bad day or are angry. Nine times out of 10 Advisors block
upon receiving this. Never forget,
the Advisor gets to choose whom they deal with as a client, just like the
client chooses their Advisors.
Sometimes burning bridges in the heat of the moment is not wise.
And probably the MOST
irrational negative feedback is that of the proverbial “hearing the answer you
don’t want and now you’re angry” feedback. Give yourself a day or two on this one. Was your Advisor being authentic, kind,
understanding and simply giving you the truth you didn’t want to accept but
suspected? OR were you dealing
with the “playing the averages” type, always a problem – I might add. Weigh this. Give it a little while. Get yourself to center.
My point in ALL of the
aforementioned is that your feedback is VERY IMPORTANT. Make sure you are being objective and
competent in what you write. Your
Advisors and fellow Seekers rely on and need it.
FREE MINUTES:
One last point is that of
“free minutes”. It is likely
important that clients understand that Advisors do NOT have to give free
minutes at all. Everyone’s system
for doing so is different, some don’t do it at all (which offends me – but
that’s beside the point). PLEASE
understand that free minutes are usually sent as a COUPON toward your next
reading – that is especially the case with those of us who are veterans and are
gifted. It is NOT intended to be
THE reading. There really is a bit
of an offense, thus energy block, to using those minutes to make your Advisor
work at lightning speeds and not be paid.
Offending your Advisor in any way is really not a good thing to do if
you seek truth. Imagine picking
your phone up 10 times in a row, working so hard, caring, and not having made a
cent. That is the circumstance
this creates and it’s terribly exhausting. It is equally offensive to spend a respectable amount of
money as a client, and not be given a free minute or two, or five. EVERYTHING is Energy. EVERYTHING impacts Energy. Be aware of this and value the ones you
trust. Getting “something for
nothing” frequently is not worth having to begin with. Never being given the “gift of
gratitude” that is free minutes from an Advisor whom you confide in is equally
lacking worth.
As I’ve stated numerous
times, it’s always a two way street between client and Advisor. Trust yourself and your intuition. Give your Advisor opportunity to do a
good job for you. Give your fellow
answer seekers the benefit of objective feedback. Take notes on your readings so that you get a broad
perspective of who is accurate for you.
Be your authentic self but always willing to be your higher self. That should be what the Advisor you
called is doing too. If you sense
less………move onward.
It is always my effort to
provide impacting information. I
hope that I am helpful.
Much Love to you All, Lyrica
