The uncertainty in the economy has led many of us to consider small ways to trim our expenses. As I thought about my budget, it occurred to me that different Sun signs tend to spend in different ways and on different things.  These are some of my thoughts.

Aries - Since you are an impulse buyer, you might consider making a list and sticking to it before setting foot outside for a shopping trip.

Taurus - Your coin collection or stock portfolio can be stored for better times. Your sweet tooth can be satisfied with Hershey just as well as Godiva.

Gemini - Your cell phone bill is a major expenditure, not to mention the many magazines you buy.  You may wish to cut down or share with a friend.

Cancer - Good quality, fresh food can be purchased at the local co-op rather than a trendy gourmet shop. Rare books are on hold.

Leo - You love to entertain, it does not have to be the equivalent of a White House State dinner to impress your friends (I mean subjects).  Simple can be elegant especially in front of a roaring fire.

Virgo - You really can limit yourself to just a few cats. They really do not need Fancy Feast everyday !  Ammonia and vinegar clean as well as highly advertised cleaning supplies. Exercise by walking, cut down on health clubs.

Libra - A day at the spa is heavenly but it can be at home with your BFF.  Manicure, pedicures and facials feel just as good in your kitchen or bathroom.
Last year's party dress can be updated.

Scorpio - Really sexy lingerie need not come from Paris, Target' can really surprise you.  Some may need to give up their secret hide-away. Some may recycle previously discarded items.

Sagittarius - That trip to Bora-Bora may be put on hold but a travel guide for use in the future is also an escape.  An advanced degree can be earned on-line rather than at Oxford or Cambridge.

Capricorn - Last year's Blackberry still does the job. Your business sense will lead you to make prioritzed lists as to needs and wants, follow it.

Aquarius - Rather than upgrading your roomful of electronic equipment, computers, and other gadgets every year, you may create your own from existing parts.

Pisces - As painful as it may be, many will give up the beach house.  Aromatic candles, perfume, make-up and liquor are staples but must there be sooo many of them?

Mercury retrograde in action,,, and the Presidential Debates

Wow, no sooner does the messenger planet Mercury go retrograde than the Presidential candidates and staffs have a major miscommunication.  It seems that Senators Obama and McCain thought that they agreed on a joint statement.  McCain jumped the gun and made a statement and also said that he wanted to postpone the debate scheduled months ago.

As an astrologer, I opt for miscommunication, a political operative might look on it as a campaign ploy.

Look for Love in all the RIGHT places...Where is your Sweet Spot?

It makes sense to go mining with a map.  E-mail me to get yours.

For all of us there are special places in the world (sweet spot) where we easily attract Love and Romance.  Using  techniques pioneered by Jim Lewis, Astro*Carto*Graphy, it is possible to map those places. They can be anywhere in the world.
In the example below, I have used the whole continental U.S.  It is possible to focus on individual States or Regions with more detail.

The red lines and shading are best.  The yellow areas are also good.

Astrological Insights to the Financial Crisis

The instability in the financial sector of our economy came to a head at the Full Moon on September 15, 2008.  That Full moon spanned the First and Seventh Houses of the NYSE Natal Chart.  The Exchange projected a negative image to the public with Saturn transiting its 1st House.  The public (7th House) responded with unexpected uncertainty and suspicion Moon in Pisces in the 7th House.  Projecting forward, Saturn remains in the NYSE 1st House until September of 2009.  I suspect that restraints imposed by the terms of the government bailout will be harsh because it will take that long for the Congress to formulate plans and promulgate rules.  When Saturn leaves Virgo and enters Libra in October 2009,  there will be some major pieces of legislation passed that will be equitable at last.   CEO and other Executive compensation fairness will be part of major Corporate reform.

Saturn in Libra is what astrologers term the sign of Saturn's exaltation. Libra is the sign of Justice, Saturn is a planet of Karma.  It will take until October, 2012 for justice to prevail.  This is not as bleak as it sounds, the process will take that long but there will be constant improvements along the way.
