The Riddle of the Sphynx was a riddle that points to one answer. Humankind was the answer, but the question therefore becomes not what is the answer but what can be done to improve matters for people. Most of the issues that holds us back are spiritual, psychological or emotional. Make sure that you operate your spiritual life to avoid stumbling blocks. If you do do, cleaning out the inside of the human  psyche and brning light into the dark places, some believe that the Higher Power will send Guides who will hold you by the hand and prevent you from stumbling (emotionally, intellectually or in what you say or do) over small obstacles.
Well, things have been moving along nicely. I have got my solar charge controller installed and that with the grid tie inverter will mean that I can now solar charge batteries and use my inverter to run my computer completely off grid making me one of the greenist keen users on the face of the panet! I have one minor repair to do to the larger of the two solar panels and I am planning on wind power soon to help in the darker months. Eventually I will be investing in a bicycle generator to help give the system a boost as well as to help me keep fit, which is quite necessary (LOL). Soon I will be receiving my distiller that i will use to make bioethanol for my home made bioethanol fireplace to keep me warm in the winter and I will also  get some "twig kettles" to provide me with washing water and hot water for tea and coffee.
I may have to leave the off grid washing machine for next year though but i do intend to get an off grid fridge in the fall of this year.
What do you say? Does that make me totally planet friendly?
Yea baby !!!

Ok everybody! I am back online for the next 4 hours and am feeling a lot better. I just thought I would give you a bit of an update. I am still working on the off grid project and will be getting a good distiller for the bioethanol soon. I already have the bioethanol burner in place so I am going to be nice and toasty come the winter months even if there is a gird down situation, and indoor cooking off grid is also sorted out. I hope to expand the solar array and to get some good power storage and night time green illumination in place and on top of that I am still doing the online educational work to help other people on low incomes progress towards off grid living. If you want to help, there are links below that you can use.

We gotta get off foreign oil and gas somehow! It starts from below and not from the government! A new kind of revolution, a bloodless civil war.

Yes I am still doing the love letter writing service that so many of you have requested (links below). I am glad to have helped so many people with it so far. Relationships have been saved, lovers have been reunited and there has been so much goodness as a result of this service its brilliant! Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you, God bless.

Life is about love.
The Creation of the Universe was a gift of Love to us.
Love holds the universe together.
The Bible teaches us that we are forgiven when we learn to forgive.
So forgiveness is essential (so it seems) to our spiritual (and therefore psychological) health.
Live in the day, walk in the Spirit, be in the Forgiveness of others sins against you.
Be Still and Know that You are God.

The further we move down the spiritual path, as I have been doing, the more we have experiences that show us things about the human condition, the human spiritual condition, that we may have had faith in to a degree, but previously doubted, coming clear with more experiences. I have been using healing energy now for three decades. I have had experiences of people telling me that heat, lightning and fire was coming from my hands. But despite all that there were still moments of doubt that I had. I have had complete strangers coming up to me in pubs and telling me that I “have an aura” but I was too afraid and sceptical to ask them further despite the fact that I have had out of body experiences and have seen spiritual beings.

Sometimes some people need an explanation that brings their beliefs into a position of doubt just to help them to think about things that they need to, maybe God was doing the same thing with me? Showing me the “evidence” but keeping me doubtful until such a time as I was ready? Now I am free of my last financial problem, maybe that is why I am losing my doubt that I have become so famous for on a certain well known video sharing website?

It almost seems as through my life was scripted. Been given positive attitudes, an interest in healthy living in terms of mind and body, and then plunged head first into many different problems that I had to pull myself out of and then to see whether I would maintain my spirituality after the last problems have come to an end? Well those last problems do seem to have come to an end and now I have lost my scepticism and doubt.

Over time, human anatomy has changed. We started off as creatures with large well developed digestive systems that was only there to help us digest raw meat, fruit, seeds, nuts and vegetables. Then as a species, we changed and started to eat more cooked foods. As the cooking provided us with more energy availability, our digestive systems got smaller. This was great as it helped us to develop larger brains. So we are not omnivores, but Cooktivores, we eat cooked foods! So, I do question why people these days are moving to a pure raw vegetarian diet. But, it would make sense for me to chose a diet that is mainly raw (so as to get the beneficial enzymes and those nutrients that are destroyed by cooking), but also to have a small percentage of cooked foods (to get whatever the digestive system has developed to extract from cooked foods) and a tiny percentage of animal products.

So, this is what I am doing. I have dedicated myself to being at least 50% raw and to build on that and see how I do. In taking this diet, I have chosen to see this as a hobby as well as a health choice. So, I observe how I feel after each meal. I make sure that although I dot have some fats, I don't have too much. I tend to keep to the alkaline foods (raw vegetables) and use veg juices to help boost the nutritional intake of fresh vegetables above that which the body could take through chewing alone.

The effect on my health has been astounding. I have noticed a sense of relaxation to the stress symptoms in my shoulders, usually after having had broccoli raw in large amounts and a greater clarity of mind. Its almost as if our beings are like a massive graphic equalizer display. We need all the bars to be high and equal, but the wrong diet increases some of the bars and reduces others leaving us stressed, irritable and unable to cope with life's little problems.

So, armed with this knowledge, I have gone further into this diet, choosing to have more raw vegan foods as part of a healthy diet. I have a greater energy boost, I have clearer skin, my digestion is better and I feel more “human”. I have a clearer mind and am with the world more.

I am not a professional nor qualified dietician, so I cant tell you what to do, but I would recommend that you ask your health practitioner about the possibility for you of having more raw and living (Eg., home sprouted Mung beans and lentils. Brown lentils sprouted are my favorites!) foods. The raw diet looks very beneficial.

Being a self employed entertainer, a psychic tarot reader, I am aware that my income will be rather variable and as such I also need to make preparations, for times in which I may have little money or if prices become volatile in the coming few years, or if there is a double dip to our "recession" and I am not taking enough sales to cover the cost of shopping as well as council tax, electric, gas and numerous essential direct debits. Having a store of food may be a good move.

Pressure canning is one method.

The name "canner" is rather deceptive as the canner doesn't put anything in cans, but is used to preserve in one out of many types of heavy duty glass Kilner jars, a kind of jar with a metal pressure lid. Kilner have been making these jars for about 150 years and the process of using them for food preservation was popular in the war.

I have today taken delivery of a pressure canner, a device like a large (in this case, 16 liters, I couldn't afford the big one) pressure cooker, complete with safety valves and a pressure gauge on top that one can use to heat the canner to desired pressures (which vary depending on the type of food that you are trying to preserve). It can also be used as a regular pressure cooker.

As well as the canner itself, a means of sterilizing the jars before use and the jars themselves, one also needs certain tools. That means jar lifters and other tools to for instance, take the scalding hot jars out of the canner safely.

Now I have myself a new tool, how am I going to use it in my day to day living processes? Well, I don't actually have a freezer, and I do want to store food for an extended period of time. Occasionally the local supermarket does special deals on chicken, beef, pork and lamb. All ideal foods to be "canned" and preserved for anything up to two years. I don't eat meat every day, but when I do without for many weeks, I do tend to get rather malnourished as a result of some existing health problems.

To the most part I live off rice, potatoes, beans, lentils and vegetables. If I could have the equivalent of ½ of a chicken volume of meat each week, that would mean 26 chickens (or chicken units of meat in this hypothetical example) per year.

Sometimes the supermarket does a special deal whereby chickens cost just £1:50. So that means that six months worth of meat would cost just less then £20 if I bulk bought my meat when the offer is on. Seeing as "value" basmati rice can cost just £4 - 6 per 5Kg these days, a weeks worth of meat, vegetables and rice would be less than £10 and probably closer to £5.

Admittedly there is an energy expense when doing the canning, and one does have to buy new sealing lids each time one reuses a jar, but that would still be a lot cheaper then running a freezer for a year.

This morning I did my first bit of energy saving cookery using a Thermal Cooking Technique. I used a Haybox. A haybox (which need not contain hay) is a box that contains some insulating material.

You heat food to be cooked in a saucepan until it has been heated through thoroughly (this is considered to be boiling first and then simmering for 5 – 10 minutes, then take it off the heat and put it in the insulated box so that the accumulated heat, held in place by the insulation, can then carry on the cooking process.

It acts like a slow cooker and as heat only goes into the food in the preliminary stage, it can be used to drastically reduce fuel bills. It was used in wartime.

I made my “haybox” from a washing up bowl, four bath towels and a cushion from the sofa. I lined the washing up bowl with one towel folded up to insulate the underside, I created a cushioning with a hole in the middle for the saucepan to go in with another towel to insulate the sides, and then folded up two towels and, after having placed the heated cook-pot with a close fitting lid in the haybox, placed those towels on top like a lid, followed by a cushion on top of that to insulate the top.

I did a fantastic rice an black eyed bean dish to go with the chicken from the previous night this way.

Blackeye beans take a long time to cook on a stove (after soaking the previous night), so I managed to cut the heating time down substantially thus saving me money. Also, as less water vapour is created in haybox cooking, I don't have steamed up windows.

Many families are turning to alternative cooking methods such as the halogen oven, microwave and the like to help cut bills down. Why not just create a good haybox? Its ideal for stews and other wet cooked foods and is cheaper then a halogen oven to both get and operate.

Well, after I had finished watering the vegetables and selecting some home grown organic runner beans and tomatoes for my lunch, I discovered I had a parcel waiting for me. I was thrilled to bits. It was the Grid Tie Inverter that I had been waiting for!

I lost no time in getting the home made solar panel that was made principally from reclaimed components totally waterproofed and getting the grid tie inverter installed in the house and then getting it set up.

It was anxious making for a while as I was preparing to install a device that had assembled as a DIY project, but when I started to see the little lights flashing in sequence on the GTI showing that it was working and harvesting solar power and pouring that back into the house and the grid, I was thrilled to bits.

So, now you know that the computer that I am working on when I am logged into keen is partially powered by the Sun!

Thank you to everybody who has shown so much interest in my project of creating solar panels. And yes, true to my word, I am starting to build my connections in the world of business networks for the purposes of slowly building up the organization for the purposes of helping more people get off grid. I have been in talks with a few key candidates so far and am carefully selecting the ones that I wish to work with. As I am sure that you can tell, there are many people on the internet who seem to have a great deal of passion for alternative technology, but when it comes down to the crunch, don't have the motivation or acumen to bring an idea into fruition. In short, there are very few dedicated people who are willing to work in their spare time, recognizing that there is a lot of hard work to be done to make sure that results are accumulated.

It is going to take work to get this off the ground, but I get the feeling that I can do this. There are many things that can be done for water security, food security and energy security and that don't require massive up front investment. It does however require keeping to the goal, making sure that the project that you are working on is planned perfectly, that the sources of information that you are researching from are accurate, that what you are planning to achieve are right for the climate and local laws surrounding energy use, CO2 emissions and property development.

Each and every single design has to be specific for the application in question and each application is different depending on the building, person or family, location, rainfall, wind, sun, local biomass, usage and many other factors. Information needs to be provided that gives people a rounded overview of which technologies they could use so that they can make the right construction choices and to give them the research knowledge that they need so that they can make the right decisions about what to purchase and when.

Also, information needs to be given about which tools to use and how to use them, how to select the right tools and to build up a selection of tools that you might need over any period of time. How to troubleshoot a system and make sure that you can maintain it rather then just taking a set and forget attitude.

This is no small task and yes, I do believe that we have two main reasons to get this information out to the world. The first one is that of the environment. Even if you don't believe in Global warming, I am sure that you can see that pollution can't be a good thing and we need to do something to reduce emissions. The second one is economic, both for the individual or family budget, and also the world at large.

Right now we are staring down the barrel of a second credit crunch that some critics are regarding as being worse than 2008 brought about by historical policy decisions in the European Nations. Things are looking bad out there and what with the recent downgrading of the US credit rating, live is gonna get hard for us all.

We all need this technology NOW.

Some people I have approached and selected can afford to give time, some give expertise and some provide small donations to help get the project alive.

If you can help it would be gratefully received.

Well the solar panel got assembled. The wood that went for the back board was reclaimed. My father was getting rid of the shed doors and I asked him whether I could use them. He gave me that kind of look that only a parent could and asked me what I wanted to use it for. “I'm going to make a solar panel!” I said, and my father just wished me well...

As you may know, I took Wednesday off to painstakingly solder together the strings of reclaimed broken solar cells one at a time until the whole panel was created. I then fixed the cover glass on top (a form of perspex used for out door applications) and today I have given it a full sunlight test. Whoopee!! a full 24 volts and a minimum of 50 watts of power! That plus my other one will give me probably 75 watts of power and I have just been on to ebay to purchase a grid tie inverter so that I can use it to lower my electricity bills and save the planet at the same time.

So, by this time next week, you can get in touch and you will know that some of the power that is being used to run my computer is being provided for me by God and some nifty technology!

I want to get more panels built so that I can get myself completely off the grid and to create a good solid battery storage system so that I can store more power, but one step at a time.

I also want to make a solar food dehydrator for long term storage (I have been doing a lot of container gardening and I have been eating peas, carrots, tomatoes plumbs, apples and courgettes all from the garden) and to start to get some heating and hot water solutions all together too. Soon I will be doing everything off grid!

Two hours of solar power on the panels will keep my energy saving lights on for up to fifteen hours. One days worth of solar will give me enough power to run my slow cooker to cook a meal for three, one hour of direct solar will be enough power to cook a meal for one in the microwave.

Its all coming together!
