Faith, strength, and confidence in every step of my life helped me to
attain the correct conditions to live and devote my life to spiritual
mediumship. Taking me on a journey of enlightenment and understanding
the importance of living for the present moment of now. I expanded my
mental and physical attributes through the development of mediumship.
Learning to attach meaning to the subtle voices in my head, I found
courage to follow my heart and act upon gut instinct. With pure intent
and faith, I began to trust that my destiny would come about with time,
patience, and spiritual growth.
A spiritualist church, for some, may be a great place to start ones
spiritual quest. Sitting in a development circle to study and deliver
clairvoyance will almost certainly accelerate ones progress. It isn’t
mandatory that one attends a Spiritualist church in order to “be” a
Spiritualist. Although within a church, one can share fellowship with
likeminded people. It is impossible to institutionalise spirit; spirit
is an eternal power that connects the whole essence of the universe.
It is a simple dedication to live life spiritually and that can only
come from within your heart and soul. No one in this world can make us
love and be kind to our fellow man and faith in spirit is a personal
journey with no trappings or branding and of course with an institution
comes rules and in my opinion there are no rules whilst walking with
spirit on a life’s journey. I soon realised that although every living
being has the ability to communicate with spirit, we can not force
spirit to communicate with us.
It surprised me how quickly the messages started to flow. Results
became achievable with progressive confidence in the words I spoke. As
the weeks unfolded so did the ability to gain clarity and evidential
proof of spirit. I didn’t have to sit for years hoping that one day I
would be a medium; it just came to me from the first night at the group
and felt normal. It was a continuation of the feelings I had already
felt through out my life, a revelation and confirmation that when I made
that choice to live my spiritual path, I was indeed closely connected
with my god, whom I choose to call my spirit friends.
Often one will first experience the apparitions, as I often did
during my early childhood years, going on to controlling the facet of
mental mediumship within the mind. The ability to see full bodied spirit
friends with ones eyes is quite normal for children with unpolluted
minds but for me it was this experience of seeing, that enabled me to
believe and know. Mediumship is a term used when one has the ability to
prove the existence of a spiritual world and should not be confused with
the term psychic. In my opinion, once deciding to take the development
path, or should I say, the steps to building my love with spirit,
everything in life was and is my own choice and free will, it was after
making this commitment to spirit that the apparitions became more
infrequent and it seemed spirit began making it harder to achieve
similar results using our minds telepathically. But, my question is, was
spirit making it harder to achieve or was it my self blocking the
ability through my own ego or self doubt?
It soon became evident; because of the tingling sensations, I felt in
my ear, I was adopting clairaudience or clear hearing in my
mediumship<strong>. T</strong>his is similar to clairvoyance
in that I hear words more than see clairvoyantly. Rather, I hear the
thoughts of the spirit person. It feels like I have two voices in my
head.
It again took lots of practice to determine which thoughts were mine
and which were the spirit persons. I often hear the other voice and it
will seem very much my own. Sometimes I get several trying to
communicate with me at once. Unfortunately, to the mediums avail it can
be very hard work keeping spirit under control whilst delivering a
reading. Although through development, I have noticed a different voice
similar to when reading a book with different characters in dialogue.
The characters voices all read different. Often names and unfamiliar
words will pop into my mind and I have to trust in the communication and
just give what I get. I have even had to consult the dictionary to
understand the meaning. I find this form of communication more accurate
and prefer to work this way when possible. Often, I have given names to
people and at that moment in a reading, they cannot recognise them.
Nevertheless, after a reading I have received verification from the
recipient.
Spirit often like to give things that one cannot immediately verify.
It is more evidential to work this way. Often, I have received names of
relatives, verifying which side of the family they belong. It is often
possible to build a profile of the spirit communicator and describe
enough for the recipient to understand and accept whom it is coming
through from the other side. It is only with the practice of giving
messages week in week out that my faith grew enough to trust that what I
was seeing or hearing was correct, with continued support and
verification from others in the group. Developing mediumship is
comparable to learning a foreign language, the more you use it the more
it becomes natural to use the new words you have learned. Quickly one
will build up a vocabulary of symbols one will use when interpreting the
messages from spirit.
As my “reading” skills grew, or should I say; as my love for spirit
grew, I began to learn about the importance of using not only
mediumistic abilities, but working psychically to. Psychic awareness is
being able to tune directly into the recipient of the reading, without
spirits help and I found it was possible to tune into the situations
surrounding them now. I won’t say I am a fortune-teller but I have
certainly felt the outcomes for people as being positive. Whether they
are to go through times, which will be more difficult. This psychic
aspect reminds me of the days back in my childhood where during the long
winter nights we would play psychic games. Someone would go out of the
room and we would point to an object in the room. When re-entering the
room it was their task to tune in. The game was to try to work out what
the object was. We only had one guess. Very often, I got it right 99% of
the time.
Spirit once told me through a trance communication. “It is best to
develop gifts slowly rather than rush and get poor quality.” After all,
if we are representing spirit as workers we need to learn to deliver the
communications as accurately as we can. Building our love connection
with spirit is a matter of trust. Without trust, we have nothing. It is
with trust that the love power will build and in time, the communication
will build in clarity and accuracy. I found mistakes were normal in my
development and even to this day, I have to admit I cannot get
everything spot on. One would have to be a mere genius to achieve 100%
accuracy in what one gives. I am not going to say I am perfect, far from
that, Mediumship, rather building a loving rapport with our spirit
friends, is continual growth, enabling us to progress spiritually and
spirituality is eternal, meaning that our spiritual development is a
life long pathway.
There is no “get rich quick” method to living with spirit in our
lives and learning to channel the love they share. It’s easier to say
that I have had enough experiences and clues in my life to confirm that
there is another dimension and I chose to share my life with my spirit
friends. We all have the choice to turn to god and our spirit friends,
but many people are brought here to live lives without the privilege of
knowing about the secret of life after death and the amazing power we
can synchronise with in our daily lives, knowing we have physical
friends and fabulous invisible friends too, who will walk with us and
not fail us and channel love unconditionally. If only we could take that
special moment to ask for help.
However, we also have a reason for being on this earthly plane and we
all have to go through tough times in order to become the persons we
are now. You don’t have to believe in spirit in order to ask for help.
Ask for help and watch the magic begin to unfold in your life. The more
the magic unfolds the more you will realise there is a force at work
helping you. Indeed, you may feel ridiculous talking to something you
are not sure is there. Why not invent an imaginary friend and make it a
part of your life. In your quiet moments build a rapport with this
friend and soon you will realise that this imaginary friend is indeed a
spirit friend.
You will not smell the scent of a flower unless you actually smell
it. You will not achieve a garden of produce to eat unless you go out
and plant the seeds; it is then that you will reap the rewards of what
you have sown. You won’t notice the beauty of nature unless you stop to
observe and appreciate it. It is the same with spirit, they are there
but you have been speeding along with your material life and haven’t
stopped to notice the subtleties of the spiritual vibration accessible
to every living being. But once you do ask you will without doubt start
to notice ones self feeling emotionally different and suddenly the dark
mundane aspects of your material life will become more noticeable and
this is when you will be enforced to begin your journey and you will
find you are possibly not even in the right place in your life and
realise there is more to life than THIS.
As you become spiritually aware and the magic starts, collaborating
with spirit, or should I say, when living with spirits love, I had to
learn the importance of maintaining control of the love force. Yes, you
will connect with a wonderful new love source! With this constant flow
of love from my spirit friends, I found it all too easy to be open to
their beautiful love twenty-four hours a day. Once you open and start to
experience the fountain of love from spirit, it will flow constantly
and unconditionally. We all need a rest from the mental aspect of this
love as indeed we also need a rest from the constant love and attention
of our earthly friends too. It can be overwhelming to have some one
clambering all over you 24/7, we all need space! Spirit will if they
can, try to be with you constantly, especially when they know you have
invited them into your life and become open to the new realms of
possibility and receptivity. Once your prayers have been heard and you
open up your personal link with spirit, they will come stronger and more
powerfully. Be ready for your minds to be blown! Especially when you
learn more about what you can achieve with spirit and how allowing
spirit into your life will have a massive impact on how you live it!
Feel the change and allow it to unfold, the proof will be there for you
to see!
We all need the balance of spirit and material. We all have the
equilibrium of working life and home life. We can all have too much of
one thing. So it isn’t a case of shutting of the love of spirit like a
tap. It’s more a case of being able to handle the power you will
experience once you are open. I for sure wouldn’t want to shut of the
love source of spirit. I wouldn’t want to deny a moment of my life
without spirits love around me. But in the capacity as a working medium,
being around other people will incite other peoples loved ones to want
to come through and this is when it can become invasive. It is my desire
in life to teach others about the love that can be tapped into and
spirit will take every opportunity to come to you to share their love
and knowledge with you and all you come into contact with. Hence, we
need to have control over this aspect of mediumship.
It is exciting in the early days of enlightenment and one will want
to share this love energy all the time, but as in anything we do in
life, one must rest. I learned very quickly the great importance of
being able to “close down.” At first, I found that I was constantly
aware of spirit around me. I couldn’t even go to the loo without myself
feeling sensations all the time. One of the sensations I experience is
the tingling of my right ear. I soon realized this was spirits way of
letting me know they are around me and indeed making that connection
with spirit will open you up to the love they are able to share with
you, helping you to make your life feel more complete. As with our
physical earthly friends we will only get help if we ask for it, and
once you ask for it your invisible spirit friends will kick into to
action and help you, after all our friends love us unconditionally and
the main thing spirit want for us in our lives, is to be happy.
In the early days, one of the first things I started to do was follow
a little exercise. This is one of many ways to let the magic begin in
your life. Therefore, I visualised a box. I mentally open the box and
inside I find a flower. Often it is a rose I see. I pick up the rose and
I mentally allow the bud to open into a full flower. When I can
maintain this visualisation of the flower being fully open I will feel
open to spirit. After, I will simply reverse the situation and mentally
close the bud. Yes, it is the harder part as I found it took more energy
in my mind to keep the bud closed. Therefore, one must keep this
visualisation firm in the mind and whilst forcing and holding the
picture of the bud closed, I place it back in the box and I mentally
lock the box with a key. This is my way of saying thank you to spirit. I
then ask spirit to leave me alone so I am able to get on with my
material life until I am ready to work again. Of course I’m not closing
my self off to the eternal flow of love from spirit but when practising
to be a medium this is useful when we are in the company of others and
their loved ones are trying to get through. It can be a bit of a pain,
when we have love and knowledge to share but the people around us are
not ready to begin the journey of opening up to the love fountain.
Often I find the flower jumping out of the box and the bud reopening.
I simply follow the exercise several times until the box remains fully
shut. It is a discipline but of great importance, that one learns to
close down. I had great difficulty with this issue. It is of course
still possible to live a spiritually fulfilling life without being open
all the time. The main thing I learned was to take my mind of spiritual
things and not to think about spirit. Over time using the simple method,
I found I was able to control when and where I could open up to spirit.
It was a good feeling to know that I could learn to use my gift more
appropriately and in development, I found I was able to put the gift on
the back burner until I went to the next development class. Before I
work, I ask spirit and invite them to work with me. I always ask for
protection and ask that I connect with my guardian angels and spirit
workers. I ask my gatekeeper to take control. I pray that I can work
toward the brightest of light and be close to father god. The sincerity
of one’s word is the most important. Always pray with conviction and
love.
I believe every fine detail in life, every corner turned and choices
made are part of some spiritual plan. I also conclude that through
adversity, I learnt my biggest lessons. Sometimes they appeared to be my
biggest mistakes. It is during the aftermath of life’s endurance, that I
reflect and thank God for his blessings, realising that had I not gone
through such an experience I would not be where I am now. Whilst going
through the hard times I have always tried earnestly to recognise that
God will not fail me and trust my guides implicitly, knowing that they
are there for me every step of the way.
God may have a blue print for my life, although this is something no
one will ever be able to prove. However, I do feel that through the
personal responsibility of my life God embraces my choices and helps me
by steering my ship in the night, knowing that with a bit of navigation
from my friends upstairs I always seem to pull through and find that the
most challenging journeys turn out to be the best. My life has taken me
through a vast amount of jobs and I have moved home many times. I have
upped and gone to foreign countries, given up all my material
possessions to do so, only to fail in my mission and come back to what
appears to be nothing. God has given me food and shelter every day and I
have always had everything I need.
I truly believe that no one upon this earthly plane is exempt from
the ability to see and hear spirit. Our psychic abilities are with us
every day. Even the non-believer has the experiences of psychic
awareness. I can sometimes know who is on the end of the phone line
before we even answer it. Sometimes I get an overwhelming feeling when I
meet someone and can get a feeling of the person’s attitude and make an
immediate analysis as to whether I wish to be in ones company.
Unfortunately, it is not always recognised and the natural faculty goes
unnoticed and as we grow up the awareness diminishes and we become
conditioned to society in a materialistic way.
I feel no relevance as to which religion one follows. Through all
religions on earth, one believes in an afterlife of some kind and
millions are connecting with God in many different ways every day.
Imagine if every person on earth were able to perceive spirit or god as a
real life force, being able to see clairvoyantly our spirit friends. We
would all use our spiritual senses and life would take on very new
meaning. No one would have to be sad if we lost a loved one because we
would still be able to see them on the other side and it would eliminate
the need to seek mediums to convey the messages. There are only
fractions of society that are able to tune in to this natural source and
mostly because these people had a desire to learn or are born with a
natural gift. Spirituality is open to all because we are simply spirit
beings with a body.
With more interest and worldwide coverage on mainstream television
and the internet, the subject is now accepted. It is easy to find
millions of people are now searching for answers to questions. The
privilege to grow up with this truth has resulted in myself taking a
more in-depth interest into living a spiritual life style.
