The first steps of my psychic and spiritual development

It soon became evident; because of the tingling sensations, I feel in my ear, I was
adopting clairaudience or clear hearing in my mediumship. This
is similar to clairvoyance in that I hear words more than see
clairvoyantly. Rather, I hear the thoughts of the spirit person. It
feels like I have two voices in my head. It again took lots of
practice to determine which thoughts were mine and which were the
spirit persons. I often hear the other voice and it will seem very
much my own. Sometimes I get several trying to communicate with me at
once.


Spirit will take every opportunity to make themselves heard. Unfortunately, to the mediums avail it can be very hard work keeping spirit in order whilst delivering a reading. Although through
development, I have noticed a different voice similar to when reading
a book with different characters in dialogue. The characters voices
all read different. Often names and unfamiliar words will pop into my
mind and I have to trust in the communication and just give what I
get. I have even had to consult the dictionary to understand the
meaning. I find this form of communication more accurate and prefer
to work this way when possible. Often, I have given names to people
and at that moment in a reading, they cannot recognise them.
Nevertheless, after a reading I have received verification from the
recipient.


Spirit often like to give things that one cannot immediately verify. It is more evidential to work this way. Often, I have received names of relatives, verifying which side of the family
they belong. It is often possible to build a profile of the spirit
communicator and describe enough for the recipient to understand and
accept whom it is coming through from the other side. It is only with
the practice of giving messages week in week out that my faith grew
enough to trust that what I was seeing or hearing was correct, with
continued support and verification from others in the group.
Developing mediumship is comparable to learning a foreign language,
the more you use it the more it becomes natural to use the new words
you have learned. Quickly one will build up a vocabulary of symbols
one will use when interpreting the messages from spirit.

The apparition of an oriental spirit guide

I awoke in the middle of the night wanting the toilet. I opened my sleepy eyes and looked up towards the end of my bed. The apparition of an oriental woman appeared to me.

She stood in all her glory, wearing a kimono and her hair held up with long pins. She had the most beautiful aura; a very bright spectrum of colour surrounded her whole being with what I describe as being a light of love. I saw her in full view from head to toe, as clear as one can see each other with physical eyes.

She beckoned me and I slid from my bed and followed her to the bathroom. The entire episode lasted several minutes and was not at all frightening. It was the most natural of experiences. Upon entering the hallway, my mother, Marie had heard me and stood in astonishment as she witnessed what I was seeing. We saw her together in the rarest of encounters.

Over the years, I have seen spirit with my eyes often just for fleeting moments at other times for extended periods. I once saw my friends dog approach me and I naturally went out to stroke his beautiful coat when suddenly I retracted remembering he had only passed away the previous week.

The development of physical mediumship

Absolute total darkness is normally needed in order to develop and sit for the production of physical phenomena. Whether the production of phenomena is Ectoplasmic or through Energy, blacked out conditions are advised. As in our circle, we are more inclined to consider the circle is working with energy rather than with ectoplasm. But there is no contest in the method spirit choose. If you want to achieve phenomena you will be delighted! ectoplasm or not.

Some of the best physical mediums of our past generations worked with ectoplasm to astonishing results and we must remember and give respect to those that paved the way to bringing the safer methods forward. Which ever methods spirit chose to adopt for your circle, traditional methods are being used within our group. We use a basic room with a small table placed in the middle with 4 trigger objects on top and one either side.

If you choose to develop table tilting and recieve communication through tapped out letters of the alphabet then please note you will be tapping for a long time and wasting your time hoping for further results. By all means experiment as I can assure you spirit can perform wonderful things with you once you establish a link. The only problem I have found with the table phenomenon is that all the enrgy goes to the table and distracts spirit from your original intentions. Spirit will tap away to their hearts content and impatience will arise when you start to wonder why you are not getting phenomena or very little. If you want results, get your hands of the table and have trust and faith!

Despite quoting that you have to sit in total darkness, please note spirit ARE able to produce phenomena in total daylight too, but this is extremely rare and is often resulted from a group who have already sat in total darkness. I have learned that spirit prefer darkness because light actually hurts them. (source of my knowledge remains anonymous until such a time I can gain permission to use names.) And also remember that we are dealing with a GOD force which means the creator of all life is capable of anything and it would be foolish to say that spirit can not do such things. It is often man that places restrictions in our beliefs, reinforcing our thinking. Therefore, we start adopting METHODS for sitting and thus sometimes complicate something which is infact simple. There are no methods! God is love and that is all that is needed. Please remove all preconcieved ideas and trust in spirit as they can do anything they choose to do. The idea that total darkness is needed has been taught from the experience of fully developed circles and the wisdom and teachings of spirit.

Sitting in a bedroom with little space in a council flat in Sheffield, UK, we sit with love in our hearts for spirit and nothing else. Wonderful results had been achieved in just four sittings, including the slight shifting of the table with no human contact. The movement of objects, although not seen moving, they have been placed in a different location with out our knowledge and fabulous photography with strange images also now occurring on a regular basis. The large white feather has been moved clearly a few times.

The circle has progressed rapidly with what I can only describe as phenomenal results. In the last three fantastic sittings the table has visibly moved with no human contact, we can only assume spirit are ready to work and show the purpose of the circle and where it will lead.

Each sitting has advanced to more powerful and exciting results. Even voices or rather vocal sounds have been confirmed by all sitters and with this in mind one can only assume that our next sitting will produce something more that will blow our minds.

Tips on the development of mediumship.

Sitting in a development circle, I share fellowship with likeminded people who wanted to study and deliver mental mediumship. It surprised me how quickly the messages started to flow. Results became achievable and as the weeks unfolded, so did the ability to give evidential proof of spirit. When I realised spirit were using me as a vessel, I started to maintain equilibrium, mentally and physically. Worry, stress, smoking, alcohol and an unhealthy diet all lead to blockages of the mind.

In the early days of development especially, spirit tried to work with me constantly. Finding I was constantly spiritually aware. I couldn’t even go to the loo without feeling sensations all the time. One sensation I experienced most was a tingling of my right ear. I soon realized this was spirits way of letting me know they were around him.

It was imperative that I learned to open and close down. A simple exercise was to open up to spirit by visualising a box. Mentally opening the box, I found a flower, often it being a rose. I picked up the rose and mentally allowed the bud to open into a full flower. When I could maintain this visualisation of the flower being fully open, I trusted and knew this as being an invitation for spirit to come close. After, I simply reversed the situation and mentally closed the bud. This was the harder part. It took me more effort to keep the bud closed. If this bud is open, this was my sign that spirit were still there. Keeping this visualisation firm in the mind, I held the image of the closed bud. Placing it back in the box, I mentally locked it with a key, asking spirit to leave me alone so I could get on with my material life until I was ready to work again.

Often, the flower would jump out of the box and the bud reopened. I simply followed the exercise several times until the box remained fully shut. It was and still is, a discipline but of great importance. I had great difficulty with this issue but with practice and determination, I managed to master it. It is possible to live a spiritually fulfilling life without being open. Using this simple method, I found I was able to control when and where I opened up to spirit, being able to put mediumship on the back burner until the next development class.
