TAROT PART XXII (The World)
The Fool has travelled far, has faced many obstacles, learned many lessons. But he has not reached the end of his journey because the journey has no end.

The World card signifies that one full cycle is complete and the next is about to begin. For the fool, it's the achievement of all his worldly desires. He's now wise enough for the next chapter; a perfect state of harmony with the Universe, a confirmation of his achievements after all the trials and tribulations he has been through.

In essence, this card's a manifestation of a next, higher level of existence waiting for the adventurous traveller, and other, infinite levels beyond that, each requiring a leap of faith to set one on his/her next fool's journey of adventure, fulfillment and peace. Because the journey has no end.

Until next time,

Tarot Part XXI (Judgement)
Hello,

Sorry for being somewhat absent from this space for the past few weeks. I'll try to make up for it in the coming days. Today, I would like to continue with our discussion of the Major Arcana and pick up where we left off; Judgement.

Judgement is usually a sign that it's time to leave something old behind - a job, a relationship, a place - and embrace something new.

It's also about forgiveness, healing and renewal. It requires us to take stock; to forgive someone, to leave a dead end relationship, to make a new life, to forge a new path.

Judgement is a card of empowerment and possibilities that each of us have within our reach, if only we were able to admit it and take that first elemental, and required step.

The Sun (Tarot, Part XX)
The Sun is a symbol of life, light, and clarity. There is nothing more powerful than the Sun; nothing can stop it from rising in the morning. Even when clouds darken the sky, the Sun can and will break through eventually.

In a reading, the Sun can mean success and completion. One cycle is over - most likely a hard and uncertain one - and now is time for a period of light, joy and prosperity. You can use the absolute and infinite powers of the Sun in whatever endeavor you care to put your mind and energies to.

Rejoice, then, bask in the Sun's warmth and glory and use the power it bestows upon you with abandon.

Until next time,

The Moon (Tarot, part XIX)
The Moon signifies that appearances maybe deceiving and that caution and vigilance will be required. it could mean, for instance, that someone you're idealizing and have complete trust in is pulling the wool over your eyes; or that an opportunity you've promised and have been counting on is far less than promised.

This card urges you to open your eyes and see for yourself what's really going on. In other words, trust if you must, but make sure you verify. Things are not necessarily so just because someone says they are.

But sometimes in moonlight, you may not see things as clearly as you'd like. That's why the Moon is also a card of intuition and psychic forces urging you to trust your instincts whenever and wherever there's not enough sunlight to guide you.

The Star (Tarot, Part XVIII)

Each of us is a star deep inside, waiting to shine. In terms of symbolism, this card tells us to look to the spark within for guidance.

The Star is a card of faith, faith both in yourself, and in the universe. And having faith is the first step towards manifesting what it is that you seek and desire in your life. Without faith there's no action, and without action no results.

Although there are few cards more positive than the Star, this card is by no means the complete answer to whatever question you might have. It's merely an affirmation that with faith you can start your journey - whatever it may be - and have a very good chance of completing it to your satisfaction. The answers to whatever question you have will come during the course of your travel. So, have faith, begin your quest, and you will be rewarded.

The Tower (Tarot, part XVII)
How many times have we felt safe and comfortable in the cozy cocoon of our lives only to be blindsided by one event or another? That's what the Tower card represents; the image is of bodies falling to the ground after their very IMPOSING and SECURE tower has been hit by lightning.

It is humbling and sobering when our very foundation is shaken, our beliefs and actions called into question. But sometimes things need to be shaken up, and sometimes that shake-up needs to be forced on us because we've become too complacent and lazy in our ways to affect any significant change ourselves.

A "Tower experience" can end disastrously, or provide us with the opportunity to grow and evolve. It's up to us.

A spouse, feeling confident about his/her marriage, has a "Tower experience" when suddenly served with divorce papers; a bolt of lightning out of the blue that can be either crippling or an opportunity to grow and evolve and to reassess and modify the behavior behind the discontent; a choice between a marriage saved, or lives of acrimony and bitterness.

Think of the Tower card as a slap in the face, smelling salts to bring you to your senses, a wake up call. If you keep on the same path you've chosen and been following blindly, you'll go splat! Not a very good ending... unless you change course.

Until next time,

The Mother of All Prayers!
Usually, around the start of the year, I get dozens of requests for prayers. This year, even more so, a lot more so. I've literally been deluged. So I decided to post a recording of the one prayer I find the most effective, the one I call The Mother of All Prayers! You'll understand why once you've listened to it.

I've found that it's the only prayer you'll ever need. It's right for every occasion, every time. How many prayers can you say that about?

I've had enthusiastic responses from those who've used it. Unlike other prayers, this has an immediate impact that you can sense right away; it makes you feel centered and empowered immediately, and therefore able to cope with and in total control of whatever situation you happen to find yourself in.

Give it a listen. I believe you'll agree. The link below will take you there:

The Devil (Tarot, Part XVI)

"The Devil made me do it!" wouldn't stand in any court of law as a plausible defense. Yet we use that very lame excuse repeatedly in our daily lives. We blame the Devil for all our pain and misery. Why? Because it's much easier to play the victim, to give an outside force dominion over us. We're blameless, therefore not responsible.

Every being has the capacity to be good and bad. The hurtful things we do to ourselves and to others are the negative part of us - the Devil - acting up. Therefore, the Devil is a part of us! The Devil is us! By acknowledging that fact, we take control of our lives and are victims no longer. Of course, we can choose to be victims, but why would we want to?

When the Devil card appears in a reading it indicates that you've chosen to play the victim and to relinquish control and it's time to change course. Because loss of control is a vicious cycle of despair that often leads to loss of hope and belief in your better self.

The Devil card then is a reminder that there is no Devil except the one you create yourself. Recognize that reality and your Devil will be tamed.

Til later,

Tarot (Part XV) Temperance
As you remember, each card of the tarot is like a signpost on the Fool's spiritual path that has so far brought him face to face with many opposites and contradictions. He's now ready to learn that it's not always a question of this or the other, that opposites can sometimes live in harmony.

This card shows a winged figure with one foot in a brook, the other on a rock. Holding two containers, she's mixing the contents; fire into water!

All opposites, the angel is telling The Fool, can live together and co-exist if the mix is right, if the will is there. It's only a lack of belief in that possibility that keeps opposites, well, opposites.

So this is what the Fool learns at this juncture of his journey: It's often the blending of two totally incompatible entities that will result in magic.

If you come upon this card in a reading, take stock; ask yourself what forces (family, friends, career, spirituality, materialism, etc.) are pulling on you. Are you ready to throw in the towel and give in to one side or another, or are you willing to see if there are ways for you to bring the different warring factions together to enrich your life and those of the others around you, and potentially create, well, magic!

Until later,

Death (Tarot, Part XIV)
The appearance of the Death card is somewhat daunting. It really shouldn't be. Because the Death card doesn't signify physical death but spiritual renewal and transformation.

In the Tarot, Death is a transition to the next level; the old ways of being, doing, believing must die for real change and metamorphoses to take place.

When the Death card appears, big changes are on the horizon. But for them to be manifested, we must be ready to give up on old attitudes or beliefs that are no longer useful and most likely even hurtful. Remember, Death is not simply destruction but also renewal.

Are your old attitudes holding you back, your fears, your beliefs? Let them die so in their place a new beginning will have a chance to flower and thrive.

Until next time,

The Hanged Man (Tarot, Part XIII)
The Hanged Man is about an inward journey you're about to make or must make.

When this card turns up in a spread, you must stop resisting. Instead, you need to open yourself up and be ready and willing to give up a cherished position or perspective in order to gain knowledge, the answers you've been seeking. They are within your grasp, but you must stop the struggle in order to reach them.

And once you're able to do that, you'll notice you see the world differently, and you have a better understanding of your place and role in that world. And isn't that the meaning of fulfillment?

This card can also mean that it's time for rest and reflection before moving on. Things will continue on, but not now. Now, they must just be as they are.

Until next time,

Sage

Justice (Tarot, Part XII)
Justice, as the name implies, is, well, about justice; not necessarily the laws of man, but the universal laws of cause and effect.

Simply put, cause and effect posits that every action has a reaction, therefore every action one takes will bear fruit at some future, indeterminate time. All the old adages we've had drummed into us: "as sou sow, so shall you reap," it's karma," "cast your bread upon water," "you make your bed..." etc. refer to this particular law.

This card reminds us that we must be be mindful of our actions, because actions not only have consequences for others but also for us. Justice is a reminder that the deeds of the past will either be rewarded or punished depending on their causal effect.

The appearance of this card also indicates that before we judge others we must be prepared to judge ourselves to make sure we're not guilty of the same errors as they. Let those without sins cast the first stone.

Until later,

Sage
