File:Valentine Postcard 43902.jpgHello and Happy Valentine's Day.

This is a very old postcard from the 1930's which I fell in love with and wanted to share it with you.  Valentine's Day always reminds me of when I was a child in Grammer School and we all sent each other " homemade" cards.  Today it is all about.... you guessed it  Commercialism.   Who gets the biggest arrangement of flowers?  Or the best box of candy?....

How about if we just tell the special people in our lives how much they mean to us.  Especially that person you call when it all goes down the " tubes".   Or that favorite neighbor who  sends a smile, or the little boy or girl walking to school who waves as they go by.  And of course our favorite pet.... who brings tons of joy and happiness our way.  Some of us are lucky enough to have a special  someone close to us.  Boyfriend,  girlfriend, husband or wife.   And some of us don't.  But we can all send each other love and a big smile.  Either way......

Enjoy and love who you are with.

               Love, Virginia

Just like many of you I am sitting here wondering where time goes?  I always heard that as we grow older time seems to go quicker.  Well I can tell you that is true.  As I look back over this past year I look at all the good things that have happened as well as the " not so good things"..  We all have them.  I have learned that the only power I have over most things that happen is I how I choose to re-act to it.  I find that if I stand back and look at what ever it is that has me mistified instead of re-acting without checking in I may have a sense of " over re-acting" and that usually means I need to do some forgiving.  Sometimes it is to myself, and sometimes it is to another. So next time you are hit by something difficult try to count to 10 and standback for a moment before re-acting.  And always remember we are all under protection from our Angels, Guides, and of course the C.E.O.  GOD.

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and a safe, healthy 2011.     Love, Virginia
