Lunar Eclipse June 15, 2011

LUNAR ECLIPSE June 15, 2011 24º Sagittarius 23‘ 4:14pm A Lunar Eclipse is when the shadow of the Moon is on the Earth which happens approximately every six months when the Sun, Earth and Moon are perfectly aligned. The Earth is sitting in the middle, when the Moon is on the far side of the Earth from the Sun, and there is a Full Moon. This June 15th eclipse is a relatively rare central eclipse where the Moon passes in front of the center of the Earth's shadow. Unlike a Solar Eclipse, a Lunar Eclipse can be observed from nearly an entire hemisphere and is completely safe to watch with the naked eye. Protective filters are not necessary and neither is a telescope. A pair of binoculars will magnify the view making the red coloration brighter and easier to see. The Total Lunar Eclipse of June 15, 2011 will be visible over Asia Europe, Australia and Africa though it won’t be visible in North America. This Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will occur as the Moon passes in front of the constellation of Sagittarius at 24º23’. At exactly 4:14pm the Earth will be moving opposite the Moon through the constellation of Gemini at 24º23’. The Earth will also be at exactly 24º23’ Gemini blocking the light of the Sun to the Moon as it falls in direct alignment with the Sun and Moon. Keep in mind: all Lunar Eclipses are powerful Full Moons that are ‘course correctors’ and are meant to change your life!! MAY 2011 OUTLOOK Happy Birthday Taurus and Gemini Natives!! May promises to be fairly harmonious, especially compared to all the hectic activity and misconnections that arose last month.      Every month the Moon travels in her orbit completely around the Earth. Every month we have a ‘Full Moon’, when the Moon opposes the Sun.  Approximately every six months we have a Lunar Eclipse.  A Lunar Eclipse is when the shadow of the Moon is on the Earth. It occurs only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned with the Earth in the middle, when the Moon is on the far side of the Earth from the Sun: when there is a Full Moon. Unlike a Solar Eclipse, a Lunar Eclipse can be observed from nearly an entire hemisphere and is completely safe to watch with the naked eye. Protective filters are not necessary and neither is a telescope. A pair of binoculars will magnify the view making the red coloration brighter and easier to see. The moon looks red because while the Moon remains completely within Earth's umbral shadow, indirect sunlight still manages to reach and illuminate it. However, this sunlight must first pass deep through the Earth's atmosphere which filters out most of the blue colored light. The remaining light is a deep red or orange in color and is much dimmer than pure white sunlight.  All Lunar Eclipses are powerful ‘course correctors’ that are meant to change your life.  Enjoy! 
 
     This month’s eclipse is a partial lunar eclipse in Capricorn that will take place on June 26.   A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will occur as the Moon passes in front of the constellation of Capricorn at 4º46’.  At exactly 7:38am the Sun will be moving opposite the Moon through the constellation of Cancer at 4º46’. 
     The Earth will be at exactly 4º46’ Cancer blocking the light of the Sun to the Moon as it falls in direct alignment with the Sun and Moon. As you may know, earthlings tend to be more emotionally expressive during a Full Moon. Blue Moon/Lunar Eclipse December 31, 2009

Every month the Moon travels in her orbit completely around the Earth. Every month we have a ‘Full Moon’, when the Moon opposes the Sun.  Approximately every six months we have a Lunar Eclipse.  A Lunar Eclipse is when the shadow of the Moon is on the Earth. It occurs only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned with the Earth in the middle, when the Moon is on the far side of the Earth from the Sun: when there is a Full Moon. Unlike a Solar Eclipse, a Lunar Eclipse can be observed from nearly an entire hemisphere and is completely safe to watch with the naked eye. Protective filters are not necessary and neither is a telescope.  A pair of binoculars will magnify the view making the red coloration brighter and easier to see. The moon looks red because while the Moon remains completely within Earth's umbral shadow, indirect sunlight still manages to reach and illuminate it.

However, this sunlight must first pass deep through the Earth's atmosphere which filters out most of the blue colored light.  The remaining light is a deep red or orange in color and is much dimmer than pure white sunlight.  ALL Eclipses are 'course correctors' and are meant to change the course of your life!!  So, look for major changes to come your way!

This month’s Full Moon is a partial lunar eclipse that will take place on December 31. This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs as the Moon passes through the constellation of Cancer at 10º15’. November 2009 Planetary Happenings!

Happy Birthday SCORPIO and SAGITTARIUS Natives!!

Virgos Rejoice!! You have worked hard, learned some very important lessons and now, since Saturn is now settling into Libra, you have a lot to look forward to. This is a Lunar Eclipse This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned with the Earth in the middle, when the Moon is on the far side of the Earth from the Sun . . or, when there is a Full Moon. Unlike a Solar Eclipse, a Lunar Eclipse can be observed from nearly an entire hemisphere. Unlike Solar Eclipses, Lunar Eclipses are completely safe to watch. Protective filters are not necessary and neither is a telescope. A pair of binoculars will magnify the view making the red coloration brighter and easier to see. The eclipse will be completely visible over Africa and Europe and South America. It could be seen rising over eastern North America.

    This month’s eclipse is a prenumbral lunar eclipse that will take

 place on August 5 and is the second of two Lunar Eclipses in this cycle of eclipses.  It is rare that we have two Lunar Eclipses two months in a row. This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will occur as the Moon passes through the constellation of Aquarius at 13º43’. At exactly 8:55pm the Sun will be moving opposite the Moon through the constellation of Leo at 13º43’. The Earth will be at exactly the same degree in Leo blocking the light of the Sun to the Moon as it falls in direct alignment at 13º43’ with the Sun and Moon. As we know, earthlings tend to be more emotionally expressive during a Full Moon.

     Every month the Moon travels in her orbit completely around the Earth. Every month we have a ‘Full Moon’, when the Moon opposes the Sun. Approximately every six months we have a Lunar Eclipse. 

     A Lunar Eclipse is when the shadow of the Moon is on the Earth. It occurs only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned with the Earth in the middle, when the Moon is on the far side of the Earth from the Sun: when there is a Full Moon. Unlike a Solar Eclipse, a Lunar Eclipse can be observed from nearly an entire hemisphere and is completely safe to watch with the naked eye. Protective filters are not necessary and neither is a telescope. A pair of binoculars will magnify the view making the red coloration brighter and easier to see. The moon looks red because while the Moon remains completely within Earth's umbral shadow, indirect sunlight still manages to reach and illuminate it. However, this sun- light must first pass deep through the Earth's atmosphere which filters out most of the blue colored light. The remaining light is a deep red or orange in color and is much dimmer than pure white sunlight and are powerful ‘course correctors’ meant to change your life.

     This month’s eclipse is a partial lunar eclipse that will take place on July 7 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse will occur as the Moon passes through the constellation of Capricorn at 15º24’. At exactly 5:21am the Sun will be moving opposite the Moon through the constellation of Cancer at 15º24’. The Earth will be at exactly the same degree in Cancer blocking the light of the Sun to the Moon as it falls in direct alignment at 15º24’ with the Sun and Moon. Generally, Earthlings tend to be more emotionally expressive during a Full Moon. A Lunar Eclipse emphasizes this emotional reaction!! Psychic sensitivity, spiritual instincts and emotional connectedness are aroused by a Lunar eclipse as the environment becomes a little unstable. This unstable environment occurs because there is change in the electromagnetic energy that affects us mentally and neurologically. There will be some stress as blockages will begin to crumble and then there will be a feeling of freedom. The good news is that creative and artistic qualities will be discovered as you let go of beliefs that don’t correspond with your current reality!! Outdated ideals or dreams may need to be discarded, which can be painful but necessary. You experience an awakening (emotional and spiritual) to today’s truths as the clutter is cleared away and the present is seen in a new light. You redefine your personality and your image!! And, a new hairdo and new clothes may result!!

     This Lunar Eclipse in strong, steady Capricorn chips away at emotional defenses revealing gentler ways to manage daily life. Fortunately, there is a nice aspect to Saturn (a Trine) at the time of this eclipse and this will provide support as you release old ways of thinking and living to create a stronger you. MAY 2009 OUTLOOK

Happy Birthday TAURUS and GEMINI Natives!!

:-) Welcome to MAY! You're full of life this month, but what exactly are you achieving from all this activity? There's a chance you'll be getting little in return for all your gallant efforts. This can be frustrating but a bright idea at the end of the month will help you find a solution to this. You're likely to feel all hot and bothered this May , but try not to let the sun go your head. Just remember that keeping call means keeping calm. The best advice for you is avoid midday burn out and instead make the most of warm balmy nights which is much more your style. Evenings are your time so get plenty of siestas in order to make the most of those midnight fiestas. The desire to let go of current concerns and head for greener pastures is stoked by the Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron.

The big news this month is that Mercury turns retrograde on May 6th at 1° Gemini and goes back to 22° Taurus when it Stations Direct on May 30th. When Mercury goes retrograde you can expect a higher frequency of misunderstandings as ‘retrograde’ implies inward and Mercury rules the mind. What is interesting here is that Mercury turns retrograde on a degree emphasizing spiritual development. You will probably find yourself withdrawing from the world as you reflect on all the thoughts that will be spinning in your head. You will be cutting through old habit patterns as you look closely at the flow of your mental processes. (Sounds rather deep, doesn’t it!) You will now have the opportunity to adjust your thoughts, attitudes and decisions so as to have a better understanding of your life. You will also want to make lists - lists of ‘things to do’. You’ll almost certainly forget them if you don’t write them down. Remember to stay calm and check things off on your list as you get them done. This will help yourself to emphasize what you DO accomplish instead of what you don’t. :-)

Other planetary activity includes Saturn continuing its’ retrograde motion in Virgo and Pluto retrograding in Capricorn. At the same time Jupiter and Neptuneare in Aquarius moving toward a conjunction (two or more planets that share the same degree in the same sign) on May 27th. This conjunction reminds you of your ideals. If you are happy with your lot in life, you will probably enjoy this period, but if you life is not going well, you may long for something better. Whatever happens, stay grounded in reality (Saturn) and make practical choices.

The Full Moon occurs on the 8th at 11:02pm at 18 Scorpio 41 and can bring up deep feelings from the past. Not only can there be emotional explosions, but there can be all sorts of electrical equipment breakdowns. The New Moon occurs on the 24th at 3 Gemini 28 at 7:12am. This is an extraordinary New Moon as Jupiter adds its’ energies of enterprise and expansion, new possibilities and perspectives.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!

      A rare astrological event occurs during the holiday season as six planets visit Capricorn, with five if them - Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto - there all at once at the time of the December New Moon on the 27th!!

      Tiny but powerful Pluto signals a turn toward major change in society. Capricorn is associated with authority, discipline, the established order and institutions such as government and big business.

     Transformative Pluto’s visit begins a process of altering the significant structures that support our culture. The good news is that events of this magnitude do not occur over night.

     On a personal level, we are all at the beginning of a process in which we will seek a more purposeful life.

     Venus also spends time in Capricorn but leaves on the 7th. With so much energy concentrated in Capricorn we should all have a memorable month. When planets are in Capricorn they express their energies in a controlled, careful, efficient way.

     If you use these energies wisely, you can make good practical moves and decisions. Luckily, no planets are retrograde until late on the 31st, which means you can move forward with confidence. If you are feeling tied down, try a trip to the unconventional side of your thinking by stepping outside your comfort zone. Surprises await! :-)
