For those of you who have a love of the outdoors, and  specifically a love of fishing, in particular, as I always have...  here's the latest from your psychic and online editor : )

Interview with Bassmasters Elite Series Angler, Kevin Short

I thought I would share just a little bit of my family's history, to shed a little light on  the making of  this shamaness, and the benefits of alternative therapies in this article...

The Life-Changing Benefits of Alternative Therapies

Some who might not consider themselves to be spiritual might eventually be surprised to find out how truly spiritual they really are.

Self-discipline is actually a form of spiritual training. Therefore, the self-discipline it takes to adhere to a diet is spiritual training, as is the self-discipline it takes to run a business, as is the self-discipline it takes to be a great sportsman, artist, musician or anything else.

Springing from its latin form "disciplina" meaning teaching, with  "discipulus" (having the same roots as "disciple") meaning pupil, the word discipline is basically referring to the training of a student. This being the case, any "self-discipline" would then entail being both teacher and student... a very spiritual practice!

Unfortunately, even in our modern day and age, there are those in vulnerable positions who are still being preyed upon by the more fortunate group of larger income earners and people with a good bit of financial backing.

One of the circumstances where this could arise might be the death of a loved one, divorce, or an illness of someone that may have something for the taking.

Be aware that you are in need of protection when unfortunate circumstances arise, so that you aren't swindled by someone more fortunate... who got there by doing this very thing, yet it can only last for so long before the Universe will end it.

Personal property can be attractive to predators, as well as cash, or any type of real estate or property. Anything, really.

To protect yourself, if something like this might be coming your way (such as an inheritance or gift of some type), don't talk to people about it until you have it secured. You never know who may want to take it away and claim it for their own.

If you are suffering from an illness that makes you vulnerable, be sure to have a trusted loved one in the nearby area who can be counted on to keep an eye on you and your valuables, keeping them safe from any unwanted attacks.

Sometimes people can seem to be your friend during times of need, however, may have ulterior motives. If they weren't there for you beforehand, don't trust them to be there for your safety now. Exceptions might be someone who is clearly a trusted professional with a sound reputation, although even this can be a bit tricky to ascertain in times of need.

If something is rightfully yours, be sure to protect yourself and avoid the income loss it can incur to lose something of value, especially during times of grief and bereavement.

If you are experiencing loss, call upon your Archangels who love and support you. They are there for you when you need them to be, as always, and can guide you through.

Our President is getting ready to accept a Nobel Peace Prize, which has come as quite a surprise to many.

Although many of you are already aware that I don't agree with our President on some issues, this I do agree with, yet only to some extent.

He has done some great things for the women and men of our country, including lifting oppression of all women and men. I was thrilled to see him approach the torture issues at Guantanamo Bay, at least with bringing it out in the open, also. He is also couragous in his position. However, his tactics and ways of accomplishing it are not always so peaceful, which can overtly cause other forms of pressure, and this is what my concern is.

However, it is still the great things he did that way that gets him nominated anyways.

This is a prime example of the question "does the result justify the means?"

Will it stick?

There seems to be an unnerving trend today. Although many are afraid to have extramarital intimacy, let's face it, a renewed form of prostitution has arisen.

This form lets fun take the financial control out of one's family and/or home life. Money flies with extramarital relationships that are deemed as just having "fun", however, the fun ends when the money runs short at home and someone who was left behind suffers for it.

Marriages go sour as someone tries to justify it as just being a good time, yet with someone other than a spousal partner, finances can fail, and too many issues to mention can arise.

These things are becoming all too common, yet are unacceptable in the moral sense that someone, through no choice of their own, is losing out on their own life for someone else's gain.

Think before you accept someone's generosity with their spousal and home life support. It could also happen to you.

Any comments?

Although symbols can often be taken for granted, they are the most common form of communicator there is. A symbol communicates, regardless of what symbol it is.

Can we be swayed by these communications? Most definitely... read the latest to find out more.

Sometimes we overlook simplicity, and how easy it often really is.

Here's the latest with one such "going green" solution...

I'm just so sorry that I cannot pass this one by. No, I'm not, really.

For those of you who did not yet catch the days news, Mrs. Obama's vacation wear is a hot topic of the day. She wore shorts and a T-shirt with a short-sleeved overshirt, and a baseball type cap. Apparently, it ended up looking a bit too sloppy, and gathered some complaints of our First Lady stepping off of Air Force One looking this way, particularly.

Personally, I just didn't feel it Mrs. Obama's place to take the fashion trendy First Lady's role in our society to the everyday joe level of having just nothing better to wear. This role she is creating belongs to our future First Ladies as well as to Mrs. Obama, and Michelle is affecting a legacy that has been passed on throughout history.

Mr. President and Mrs. Obama, you're not just anyone, so please stop trying to be.

What are your comments on this?

I am loved, I am wanted, I am cared for.

This time of year we are all very well aware that heat does cause stress... however,  the other stress that comes into play with this may not be as well understood.  If your household has air conditioning, you might be enduring some stressors that can cause irritability, lack of concentration, physical sicknesses, and more.

The subtle noise of the air conditioning running in the background (or even a fan) is a constant barrage to someone's senses that can cause tremendous stress, though one might not think so. Aside from the crabbiness that can ensue, physical issues such as colds, sore throats, and the like are also a threat.

So, if your relationship, or your health, is suffering in an air conditioned atmosphere this summer, try turning off your air conditioning for a few hours during the cooler parts of the day to relax your body's defenses.

If you can take the heat, get outside some to get the fresh air a body needs to be healthy, and whenever you can, get your bare feet on the earth to help relieve stress.

Have a healthy, happy summer!

If you have ever noticed that some of the happiest beings you will meet are also some of the most relaxed, then you might wonder this, as well.

Is it the relaxing that makes us feel happy, or is it the happiness that makes us feel relaxed?

Why are some of the happiest couples those who are so relaxed?

Could a relatively stress-free existence be directly related to someone's sense of happiness? If so, can we simply reduce stress to increase happiness?

What do you think?
