I thought I'd written everything i could on soul connections over the years, and although i continue to love working with people experiencing them - reading, counselling and teaching, I thought i had addressed most subjects in print, however there's a phenomenon that I find really important to talk about.
There is a lot of interest in a stream of information that is of a nature of reassurance; but as anyone who's worked with me knows, I see reassurance as an important element in the experience but also witness so much reassurance causing people to extend their pain rather than journey through it to find a place of peace and happiness.
Once fully understood, the truth is so much cooler than any reasurance, the only difference is that it defines happiness coming from a place within, not a place without..and as such requiring a journey we may not want to tak, but ultimately all do, and that is of working through our lessons to find peace
I have to hastily add that this ISN'T anything anti-romantic, its just the first of the universal laws, which defines that happiness and completeness must come primarily from within, from our connection with the universe...before it can come from anywhere else..
Doesn't mean we cant have the relationship stuff but it says we can't in any way polute the true and beautiful nature of love with the human aspect of need until we can truly accept that love. Love comes in one flavor and thats unconditional. We often romaticize the relationship to justify the need but ( sorry folks ) love cannot bring pain... the pain comes from the need to satiate the feelings through having a physical relationship with the object of our love.....
Unfortunately as humans we're programmed to need, programmed to consider happiness and fulfilment as being from external sources... In soul connections all sorts of names and titles are used to support the thesis that somehow its the relationship thats the conclusion and purpose....yet it isn't.....its the energetic relationship, the acceptance of universe, self, others and love that is the lesson..
And so, through this process the number of people slowly walking the path of ever increasing pain continues as all the external satiates we so badly want stay away, eventually forcing our fingers from the rail until we let go and take that inner journey to acceptance and submission to universal will...
I am a survivor of something that saw me so so close to not being here on this earth anymore than I'm not talking purely from the study and reasearch I've done over the years but also first hand experience..Not bringing my experiences into the work becaue that must remain objective at all times, but i know what it feels like to go through one of these connections...
Again it doesnt mean there can't or wont be a relationship element, however there is no succesfully concluded connection that didn't neccessiate this bigger, destined process of transition FIRST....
Anwyay the point of this post is to comment on how little i see about the aspects of soul connections that talk about the ENERGY or the KARMA, those awesome forces that drive us insane..and that are the very things that drive the purpose and the mechanisms of the soul connection.
Anyone who's had a connection knows what a ripping / tearing / mind blowing experience it is..Any and all of us at one time will have only considered the other person and their freewill as the driver and decider and outcome to the whole thing..
However at some point we all come to realize there's a heck of a lot more going on that that and all those randiom readings on "when will s/he return" just aren't cutting it..despite all those promises he'll come back on Wednesday..
Eventually after usually a lot of Wednesdays we really start to learn that we're going through something much bigger, and that all these crazy energies aren't just coming from the other person. In fact most times they're being pulled and tugged about by the whole thing too which is why they freaked out...they're being forced through the same process but reacting differently, usually by running away
It's when we realize there's a THIRD PARTNER partner in these things and that's THE UNIVERSE and her amazing mind blowing energies she's sent us; that we start to make progress.. YET so little seems to be around talking about this stuff. It's a fact that more people embark on journeys to become readers, healers, metaphysicists etc from awakenings triggered by soul connections than anything else.
All of these disciplines work with energy..... When we can understand what the lessons are in a connection, what the energies are doing, why and how to deal with them, we can not only learn some simple techniques and feel a whole lot better, but embark on our journey even if its not to be a reader or practitioner, but our spiritual journey to understand much more about the mechansisms and purpose that will take us towards greater awareness, peace, connectedness and knowledge of why we are here and what we are meant to be doing. Get a reading on THAT and you'll be headed in the right direction..
That journey is a journey into self, into energy.. I hear people talk about the REAL world but the real world is more energy than matter. Energies are sensations and feelings, intuition and drives, passions and loves. They are also the tools of destiny itself....
If we took an atom and made it the size of a cathedral the particles of hard matter would be the size of a few grains of sand. If we made the nucleus of an atom the size of a marble the electrons would orbit 2 MILES AWAY...So we are anything BUT predominantly physical in nature..its just that the brain is a physical organ confied to 3 dimensions and thus thinks from that place..
We are made predominantly of energy and it is us, we just are programmed to think on the physical dimension...If you doubt energy then just go back to thinking about that soul connection and how it felt and you won't doubt it for long..
Tools like psychic reading, spiritual counselling, learning meditation and many other things will help you and can make a huge difference and there are some really effective ways to level out the energy so you don't have to feel all that pain all the time.
It's SAD that so many think the only tools in the "spiritual realms" are the predictive readings of what is s/he thinking and when will they come back... and yet these are just a surface element of what can be a deep and profound set of ancient knowledges and disciplines... These disciplines include reading but not just the usual reading you expect from "a psychic" but deeper, into reading the karma the lessons the energies, the life path and the past life.. This along with learning many things that can be used to make life so much easier - such as energy work and or meditation on many many levels...all are tools in the metaphysicians toolbox
Theres so much can be learned, experienced, and achieved by chosing to work on that element with the 3rd entity in the connection - where the energy-you meets the energy-universe.... and yet often so little made available other than predictive reading, which is somewhat sad because people are suffering when they don't need to..
The pain isn't a reminder of the love, love cannot create pain only need can..The pain is the prompt not the lesson... Do the work, use the tools, lose the pain, enjoy the love....No need to keep suffering

A couple of recent events reminded me of something i wanted to comment on and that is the issue of boundaries... What reminded me is that a couple of people ( in different situations ) saw me become assertive and enforce a boundary and they misunderstood and criticized me for( they assumed ) losing my cool when wasnt i supposed to be hyper calm due to my meditation and energy work and zen teachings etc.
Well yeah i do use energy work and other disciplines to stay calm and release negative emotions and one of the important disciplines to protecting my peace is to have good boundaries, enforced in a non emotional way BEFORE it gets so bad I'm a screaming headcase..not that i somehow suck up more junk than is healthy from having some misguided sense of that being a right or healthy thing to do....
I was suprised that my actions had been misinterpreted as coming from emotion as there really wasnt much emotion associated with it, however a little later the lesson became clear - that maybe this person could only enforce boundaries when they'd been pushed too far and at that point it was out of frustration or lack of control, and they has assumed the same was true with me...
We all know that one, we've all been there, where we've sucked it up for long enough and then we explode... However this wasnt the case because i'd ( very fortunately ) learned a long time ago a better way. I'm not saying I dont get frustrated, I do and sometimes a lot, but I don't let boundaries be driven by emotions... i use boundaries to protect my peace and thus my emotions....which is after all what boundaries are for.
Like many, in past years I had flexi-boudaries, in other words partners, family or loved ones could tread further over them than others, and the boundary, if there was one, was relevant to the other person and their 'position' in my life....
As part of the ego death process i began to see the ludicrous nature of this approach, as boundaries are meant to protect us and its more likely we will have issues with those closest to us than complete strangers, so the ones i let in further were the ones i needed to be especially wary of.....
Working on Ego Death, Zen and other disciplines over the years showed me that boundaries are relevant to me and not the other person. In other words my boundaries should be that everyone whoever they are is expected to fulfil certain very basic concepts of human interaction or for me to interact with that person could be detrimental to my peace.. These baseline boundary aspects are usually things like honesty, mutuality, reliability etcetera....
Anyone whos worked with me knows my all too cheesy analogies and this one i usually say something like "I don't care if it's your soul connection, the President, Sant Claus or the Pope, that behavior wouldnt be allowed if your boundaries were in place".
I think what this person got confused about was that yes i had some frustration with what had happened however the boundary was implemented not as some "sulk" or "tantrum" but simply as a boundary... It struck me that this interpretation has been placed on the same actions before and usually by people who enforce their boundaries when things have gone way too far and the boundary comes more as a last ditch attempt associated with some raw emotion...
I'm not trying to criticize anyone even though i would fall over in pure shock if at least one person didn't take it like that ( put it down to experience rather than psychic prediction ) ,however it really is worthwhile to remember that we as humans can easily project reasoning onto actions, often to our own detriment as we then base our findings on the wrong information....
Likewise important to take away the lesson that boundaries are relevant to YOU not the status of the other person or people.. then you are likely never to get to the stage where your so upset or so angry you enforce it too late...at which point the boundary is already worthless.. Peace ! Steve
-------------------------------------------------
I started to write this in responce to comments in my blog article "Boundaries - what boundaries" [ my own site blog not this one] but it became too long so its become an addition to the post..
Boundaries defining what's ok for the individual must be in place at all times not just before or after an event. They're their to protect you and to allow or disallow certain behaviors.
It is common decency to respect other peoples boundaries but don't expect thats going to be common because it isnt.
Most commonly when we want something or someone we can be tempted to drop those boudaries and then be open to pain when the person or situation doesn't happen as we want. We can also endanger trashing other peoples boudnaries in trying to get what we want
One of the great lessons is that the only place where love=relationships=need=pain=everything is the human mind, where everything coexists mixed in like some integrated grey soup that we constantly question or reshape trying to fine THE ONE answer - which doesnt exist. This leads to flexi-boundaries
When we allow ourselves to live on the multiple levels of the universe in which we really live, then love, boundaries, emotions, relationships, judgment, need and choices are parallel things.
All of the big spiritual teachings involve this transition from singluarity of the ego world to the multiplicity of the real world.
For example one of the most misunderstood statements is "It's all about love". We know the universe isn't all about one thing, its all about many things in HARMONY. For instance we can't say weather is all about Sun...
We must work from a place of altruism and objectivity and compassion ( "love" ) but without empowerment, boundaries, and objectivity - on this planet, your self esteem will end up in the toilet... If your self "love" is wasted then so is your love for others, so these situations trigger many of these big spiritual lessons...most of which shoot holes in many commonly held conceptions..traditions and ways of thinking the world works
One of my favorite sayings is that "It's as much about the unlearning than the learning".
All of us at some point have come from a place of "how do i learn more" when actually we eventually find out its not more its "how do i unlearn what i thought and how do i learn it differently"..
Thats not an easy concept for anyone until we're ready to learn these big spiritual lessons. Many times we find it conflicting because it somehow means we have to accept something we didn't know or didn't see or didnt realize and for the good old human ego thats not something very easy to take.
However we later realize that all of us tread the same path its not a heirarchical thing its not a "how much we know" thing its a natural progression on the spiritual pathway.
We don't kick ourselves for falling off the bike when we tried to learn, it was falling off that taught us... Same is true here in that pain is a teacher...and we all come to accept that its neccesary universal mechanism to self awareness and universal awareness.

The Journey to inner Peace…
How Ptsen –Nuh Energy Mapping is different to other techniques
Reconditioning thought patterns
Many of us will have experienced techniques that attempt to recondition negative thoughts and behaviours from a practise of thinking and or asserting differently.
These techniques usually enjoy some success however usually not bringing long term changes. The tripwires and triggers of the tests and challenges of daily life often catch us unawares and we flip back into the old state of less-than-happy.
This is simply because however hard we try to recondition our thinking – our deeply planted emotional triggers underlie thoughts at a deeper and much more powerful level and therefore usually end up defining our state of being and our behaviours.
Changing Energies – healing and meditation
In recent times the profile of energy work has increased considerably, mostly due to the significant rise in popularity of practises such as Reiki which is the most readily accessible form of energy work…
Awareness of the human energy system and that we can change certain energies through meditation or via remote intervention by techniques like Reiki – is now well established…
Most energy practises focus on the energy system between the chakras and aura using techniques like Reiki where a practitioner or ‘healer’ uses their influence to externally intervene to cleanse change an energy or energies..
This inter-chakra flow is important but it’s vital to realize how blockages and or improper balance were caused in the first place because unless we remove the cause we are just treating the symptoms…..
“If we just keep pushing the ball backup the hill it will just roll down again”…
A Real Solution
The challenge is to understand fully how the energy system in a person is working as part of that person in their entirety and not treat the energy system as something somehow separate or not a vitally important part of the whole human.
In order to do this context is vital and so in Ptsen-Nuh we address all influences on the energetic state of being…
Each human lives a world of constant stimulus, of constant challenge, and of constant thought – evaluation and re-evaluation. Most people’s state of being is defined by these events, the accrued ‘stuff’ from life and most of us unwittingly allow ourselves to be defined by these as validating or de-validating us..
From this come the principles….
THE FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES AND PRACTISES OF PTSEN NUH
1. The ego state
"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.... " Albert Einstein
It is through the development of human intellect and the ability to control certain things in our world that we as a species have come to a point where we are so used to control, freedom and individuality – that we tend to lose our deeper connection with the universe as our ego model of self observes the universe as something we interact with and think of as external to us….
Our world is based upon the The freedom to opinion, judgment and choice, all of which are admirable social rights, can have a downside where we become conditioned to modified to each person have their own, based upon beliefs judgments and experiences….
In order to rejoin, to once again become part of the universe, we must lose the ingrained tendency to make decisions and judgments, beliefs and personal aspects that come from the usual process of thought and individual "me" ( ego perception ).
“On the road to inner peace we must get to the place to realize that individual perception changes only the perception of the individual....”
Lesson 1. Recognition of the flaws of the ego state
We recognize that every living person has an inner ‘ego” model of self worth, value, place and position in society that has been conditioned by people and events over time…
We recognize that we didn’t control many of these events and we can’t control people’s reactions to us, therefore we are more or less powerless over this mental ‘programmed’ value and self worth.
We recognize that every ego has the innate ability to be needy, negative, judgmental, and insecure and most other negative human traits…and that the ego always tends toward the negative. Nobody worries they will be too thin too rich or too happy.
We recognize the usual human state of conditioning is that this ego mode which controls our state of awareness of being, that our emotions are more subject to the actions of others than ourselves, that our self worth is an integration of events and perceptions of others, and that we are not centred, in control or objective.
-----
We decided that this state is not who we are but how we are and that it is an unacceptable way of being…
We realize that just the same as we can’t unlearn to ride a bike or unlearn to swim, we can’t ultimately change our state of being to think ourselves happy or redress this ego conditioning using thought.
We decide that we will avoid ego perception, judgment of self or others and seek the objectiveness and peace of ego detachment.
We decide that our existence is an act of divine creation and that no person, neither ourselves nor others, can judge our validity
2. It must be real because I FEEL it !
We all tend to be familiar with testing or questioning mental concepts for example "should i be thinking this, is it right, real , valid" etc but rarely does that happen with emotions... Most people upon feeling something eg love, fear, hate, rejection whatever will instantly react to that emotion - its a learned response as emotions are the deepest triggers for action in a human...Subconsciously we automatically validate things we feel because WE FEEL IT....and they become our reality...
However, and here’s the BIG one, many such 'emotions' aren’t real. By that i mean they are old 'emotions', old energies, being recycled, re-felt, by triggers that we have that pull back these sense memories, these emotional memories from the past...
In order to explain an energy trigger lets assume the date calls to say they're tired and cant go out tonight. How many of us feel a rejection trigger WAY bigger than is relevant to that single event.....this is the ego diving into the emotional memories in the energy centres and replaying the rejection feelings from EVERY previous rejection not just this situation....It then starts the mental "what does this mean" game of prediction and so the cycle starts...
If we seek to fuel the ego with reassurance to feel better, we simply push the cycle the other way, feed the dysfunction because reassurance is seeking to rationalize the irrationality and is as unreal as the initial emotional response was... What often follows is a cycle akin to an obsessive/compulsive session where the ego struggles to find the reassurance whilst it deals with emotions way bigger than the actual event...
If we reach out to the person to ask for reassurance, often they see we're in a state and wonder what the heck is going on and back off further as the actions they’re witnessing aren’t proportionate to what they did ......
When they back off further we feel further rejection and so it goes......
Just one simple example but really key to the issue of self validation of emotions....
Lessons 2. Recognise real vs replayed emotions
We recognize that as emotional caring people we will have emotional reactions to external stimulus
We recognize that in the ego state we will have emotional reactions that are from old emotions being retriggered which causes an unhealthy state of being.
-----
We decide that when any external stimulus triggers feelings that affect self validation, we will recognize that as an ego reaction and therefore we cannot in any way act on, pamper to, or facilitate these energies as emotions, that they are just replay triggered by ego responses.
We decide that when we recognize a trigger we take no action whatsoever. . this is a golden rule of ptsen-nuh. Any actions taken during this time will be counter productive.
We decide to get away from ego and return back to the learned state of inner peace as soon as possible…( this state is taught through a foundational meditation )
3. Duality and Multiplicity – the true nature of the universe.
There isn't one of anything. Many variations of things exist in order to make the universe fruitful.
Its human ego to need to adhere to logic and choice that requires an outcome to be "the one" or “the good option” or to happen in a way we want. Ego creates an expectation or emotion response to outcomes or attach implications to only having a single result....
Its also an ego condition that we welcome the “good” and resent or avoid the “bad”, often placing our own value judgments of good and bad onto situations in respect of how we subjectively view them
In the ego state we seek a single solitary focus, a reason, person, cause, effect or outcome and cannot embrace multiplicity. What I mean by this is that the ego state is to choose either apple or orange and not to naturally think of a range of options as richness and diversity but to focus on the dilemmas of having choice.
Lessons 3. Embracing Fruitfulness
We recognize that the projection creates need, expectation and requires cause, effect, timeline, purpose, person, focus, reason and prediction in order to “understand” anything..
We recognize that the ego working on a logical, subjective, judgmental, emotionally reactive basis will place value judgments of “good” or “bad” onto events and situations.
We recognize that the ego has few categories for interaction, most notably friend, lover or family..
------
We decide to accept the rule of duality – that all tests have their reward and all rewards have their price. That the law of cloud and silver lining being two elements of one and the same entity are an inescapable part of nature and we must welcome both….
We decide not to use “good” or “bad” as labels or judgments anymore but to, through detached unemotional observation, seek to understand the more complex nature of things..
We decide to accept that all living things will interact energetically and that this interaction is a part of the laws of energy often without implication, and that we will not judge, categorize, or attach need or expectation to that interaction but that we will embrace the fruitfulness of the energy universe.
4. The Energy System
It is accepted that any old triggers, perceptions or reactions to external situations or other peoples actual or perceived validation or devalidation, causes us to involuntarily modify our energy flow.
As an example, someone who feels they may have been taken as too assertive, or who has expressed themselves before only to receive a negative response, will suffer an energy affliction that causes their power to withdraw whilst in the presence of the person, people or situations where the negative response occurred.
Because of this, we all involuntarily modify our energy selves in different situations where social interaction, and or perceived peer or validation / devalidation situations can occur... In other words we are rarely if ever fully flowing in what’s meant to be our natural energy state...
Lessons 4. A place of peace
We recognize that we need to find a way that our total energy flow can be restored, releasing all old ‘learned’ emotions to disable replay, and that we can be fully expressed in all energies
We recognize that in the world we cannot fully express all energies due to rejection / validation issues from the fact that people judge - which would ensure we are never fully cleansed flowing or open.
------
We decide that just as we may use a gym to focus on our muscles, we need an energy space devoid of others, devoid of external stimulus, where we can release old triggers and blockages and find ways to full expression and release of energies.
We decide to create and manage our sacred space, taking 100% responsibility for care, maintenance and control of our energetic state of being, irrespective of external influence.
We decide to gradually track and map old energy triggers, responses and ‘replays’ in order to disempower and reprogram them at an energetic level.
5. Unlocking
Once freed from many of the traps of the ego state within ourselves and others we can fully become, full express, and fully enjoy the energetic state of being that’s defined only by who we are not how or what we think.
In unlocking this undeniable truth of the reality of our creation we unlock our maximum potential and align with our path. In fully flowing, our energies interact with the universe in the way they’re meant to and we commune with the universe in a positive and flowing way.
Lessons 5. A On the Path
We recognize that when we aren’t flowing energetically – that we create ‘waves in the energy’ of our interaction with other and even more importantly, with our own destiny.
We recognize that pre conceived idea about what we want, who we are and “what we should be” has isolated us from the deep inner connection and recognition of that which drives us onto our path..
------
We decide we choose to remain true to the fully open energetic state and to flow with the energies of self and of the universe…
We decide to remain in the mode of being a merging, a crossover point of both spiritual and physical energies in harmony as we are meant to be.
Nothing ever ends.....
The "big illusion" as it's often referred to is that we are a creation in this life which ends with our physical death. That its about the time between our birth and our death and all about who we are, what we can achieve and especially about that constant search for happiness and fulfillment on the physical plane.
Well then come soul connections which blow a lot of what we thought we knew out of the water.... How can we meet someone, maybe in some cases not even meet them face to face, and connect to them so profoundly and "know" them at a soul level in such a way.....
And then WHAM where did they go and why am i tied to someone who has shakedn my world so much and im utterly trapped....? I think we all know these types of question when we've had a soul connection.
Looking at soul connections from the romantic standpoint we all know too well. But to ask the bigger questions is the only way to get answers. For a start if you ever doubted reincarnation, a soul connection is usually a good way to stem the doubt because you will have some inner sense of already knowing the person and indeed you did, but not in this life.....
Taking the "Its all about love" standpoint is an admirable one but still not the full story. Other approaches often are that only God knows or only we ourselves know from the feelings we have for that person...
But as many many extremely accomplished and notable people have explained over the years, the universe is explainable, does have method, and can be seen to make sense if we can only escape the prison of our opinion and look outside the box. ( pause for someone to say "that’s just your opinion" )
A couple of quotes from Albert Einstein as an example....
A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty
and
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one
It's a very well founded practice going back thousand of years that if we can expand beyond our thought we can once again experience being part of that universe and understand its methods and find answers.....
Another way to put this is that everyone has psychic abilities, something pronounced by many notables not least Edgar Cayce. For "psychic ability" just read that we reconnect with source, begin to feel our connection to the divine and can begin to understand the mechanisms at work.
I always say to people that i think God has a pretty cool way to wake us up to that and its through soul connections. The "soul shock" as i called it is just that. An electric bolt to wake us up from the prison of our mental consciousness and put us back in touch with the divine from where we came and where we return. BUT we also aren’t isolated from it here and now, we are just hampered by having a physical presence and physical consciousness called thought reality....
So the reason for soul connections is a continuation. Death is no end. So when we reincarnate if the script hasn’t concluded in the past life it continues in this one. The recognition, the feelings of knowing and the immense feeling of destiny at work, all are the big clues to that continuation.
Even when the runner runs, do we really feel that’s the end ? No. That’s where all the 'insanity' comes in. The runner may even deny everything but that voice inside shouts "this isn’t over". Is it all about the relationship and happiness on this physical plane, no. That’s part of it but this bigger picture is about our path, our spiritual progress, learning development, self awareness, self love - the whole thing.
Its only though this soul shock that we really experience the power of destiny, the fact that some things are just completely undeniable despite what i, them or this or that person thinks. If you doubt it just feel the pull, the pain, the immensity of the sensations to see just a small example of the powers of destiny.
You may say "well they ran off and married someone else its over" Well guess what no it isnt. The changes the progression the learning the experiences continue. Its only when we still only see the experience from just the relationship part that we feel this. YES of course EVERYONE wants the relationship its all we can think about....... until...
I make it a point to speak to many people after reconnection and when they’re in a relationship with the soul partner, even after many years, In some cases the feelings of that immense pull just disappear. In many it fades. Ive also experienced that same phenomenon.
For others they complete their karma and they say they don’t feel the same pull the same need it all seems to dissipate...
So then we have to ask why is this... Why does love necessitate pain ? The answer love doesnt .... Love is in itself unconditional. A hard concept for any human being not to have any need to manifest that love in a relationship.
But the pain is the waking up process, the shock of feelings such awesome powers way beyond human need yet still having those human aspects of need and want. So if you have had a soul connection at any of the many levels, the trauma you experience is that wake up call. The pain is the clue. What you know inside is the clue. Its just that we as humans tend to focus on the missing part, the lack of the physical relationship that tears us apart. A hard lesson for anyone..
The very thing that hurts us can give us the answer. If and when we can tune into the connection and the love and accept it as the gift it is then it doesn’t actually have any pain with it. Understanding and acceptance of the divine forces at work and not fighting the love or the other persons human aspects that make them do or say this or that, is when we can begin to find peace with a process that’s much more complex than we at first realize....
As for nothing ever ending....... End up with the relationship or not theres more tests more experiences on the way. Not all as painful and many will find yet another even more powerful connection down the line.
Many i talk to who have had the most horrendous connections that tested them to the very edge of existance have progressed to other connections. Not a romatic ideal here and i dont say this to be popular, but life is about progression the cycle repeating and us progressing through succesive experience. At the time these people were all 100% certain this was "the one".
A common reaction to that statement is for it to be negative, but once again if we see it the right way we understand that progression and change are constants and that the journey is assured by the simple fact of our existance. And it proves the old adage that its all about the journey.
The bad news is there isnt one of anything in the universe and the good news is that there isnt one of anything in the universe...
So however trapped we may feel things are happening, the trick is to see why and accept it and try to get out from the prison of the human condition of thought and opinion an take that massive journey into greater perception of the divine...
How to do that ? just tune into the forces you feel at work within you, dont fear them...
The cycle continues it has to continue...

Want to feel more relaxed, calm and peaceful?..Try incense, you may be very surprised!
Incense has a long been a cleanser of negative energies and proper use can creat a calm peaceful stress free environment.
Many people are very surprised to find out the powerful effects of genuine incense on cleansing a room or space of negative energy as well as ones aura when we subject it to the smoke of a REAL incense..
For centuries incense, essential oils and crystals have been used in churches, temples and places of worship, to cleanse and protect energies.
Yeah they do smell nice but they also have a very practical purpose.
What do we mean by energies ?
We all sense energy, we all remember walking into a house or room and noting the feeling that we get from it. Likewise when we meet people we often get a sense of them from their energies.
Our own energy or 'chi' flows through seven major energy centers in the body called Chakras. These chakras not only sense energies from people and places but also radiate energy into our surroundings. Likewise our surrounding retain residual energies from people and events that were there.
So mood, sense of peace and wellbeing are very affected by our own state and those of the people and places around us. To clear our chi pathways and maintain a peaceful, calm, balanced and serene surrounding, as well as to protect from negativity,. Its long been the practice to use incense, oils and crystals to cleanse, purify and protect both people and spaces.
There are many different methods of cleansing a space say a house or a room but the most basic and significant is to burn an incense or oil and or to place crystals in the space. What's often referred to as 'smudging' is used to cleanse a persona aura and energies in a cloud of smoke from incense or oil fragrance
Cleansing helps promote a peaceful environment where our own energies can flow unimpeded, bringing a sense of calmness and well being and allowing our chi to flow in a positive way to promote the bodies natural balance and self healing.

Frankincense is one of the oldest and most revered of incenses, frankincense is a resin from the sap of the tree Boswellia Thurifera. Its fragrance is soft and balsamic with a lemony or campherous undertone.
Originating from the middle east and north africa, use of the incense gradually spread to many cultures where it was very highly valued - burned as an offering to the gods. Frankincense was one of the three precious gifts brought to the infant Jesus.
Widely used in places of meditation and worship, frankincense is believed to greatly heighten spirituality, enhancing the ability to see with clarity in meditation and prophecy.
Jasmine
Probably the most widely used incense or oil, jasmine is referred to in the east as the king of aromatics where its flower is the sacred flower of Kama the Hindu God of Love.
The jasmine plant has a long and illustrious history of use as a fragrance and is widely used in perfumery, incenses and oils by many different cultures around the world.
Metaphysically, jasmine is used as one of the most powerful general energy cleansers, bringing clarity and balance, and to enhance prophetic ability in meditation and dreams. It is widely used in temples and places of worship
Patchouli
This classic and distinctive exotic Indian incense is used in modern perfume making as its aroma is rich and earthy but combines a floral sweetness.
Leaves of the patchouli plant were used to scent Indian cottons exported to the west, and the aroma gradually became synonymous in western culture with exotic far away places. In its native lands this incense has a reputation as an aphrodisiac and is used as anointing oil in tantric rituals.
Metaphysically, patchouli is often used to scent a room before meditation to enhance focus and has been associated with attracting positive energy towards both love and money.
Sandalwood
Sandalwood has a sacred 4,000 year old history and is mentioned in Sanskrit and Chinese manuscripts. The oil was used in religious ritual, and many deities and temples were carved from its wood. Sandalwood is the basic religious incense of India.
The scent of sandalwood oil or sandalwood incense is said to clarify the mind, help to awaken the intelligence, and is often used as an aid to meditation.
It is also said to calm the mind and aid relieve stress and nervous tension, to uplift and to enhance a peaceful feeling to all present
Sage
A member of the mint family, sage has long been held by many cultures to have powerful cleansing and healing properties.
To the Romans, sage held a special place as a ceremonial herb and was even gathered with a special knife in a cutting ritual. The herb was associated with mortality and also believed to increase mental agility.
Native American Indians widely used sage, often mixed with other herbs for a cleansing ritual which they named 'smudging'. Smudging is bathing a person in a cloud of smoke to purify and protect both the physical and spiritual bodies. The native Americans also had access to a unique variety of sage which has hallucinogenic properties. We see a parallel to smudging in china where both sage and other incenses we used in temples and ritual to bathe an area in cleansing smoke to purify an area and those within it.
'Smudging'
Smudging is bathing a person in a cloud of smoke to purify and protect both the physical and spiritual bodies.
Similar practices are used by many cultures in temple and rituals, although often using a variety of incense and oils - however nowadays such cleansing rituals are also often referred to generically as smudging.
How to: simply fill a space with smoke from the incense or blend of choice
You or the person to be cleansed spends time meditating in the space.
Prayers or rituals depend upon ones religion and beliefs and the vary accordingly but the basic ingredient of smudging is to meditate amidst a cloud of smoke in order to be cleansed
To cleanse a physical space
You will find many different methods of cleansing a space as you will recipes for apple pie. However each have common aspects even though the techniques themselves may differ..
To distill those common aspects they are;
1. A ritual or prayer of protection
2. Distributing smoke around the area to be cleansed
3. A prayer or invocation to clear and protect the space
1. Protection prayer - this is a simple prayer or request to the universe to protect the person doing the cleansing. What the actual wording is or any particular religious denomination is not the issue as long as the person requests divine assistance.
2.(3) distributing smoke around the area to be cleansed - walk around the area distributing incense smoke into the atmosphere. Of course be very wary of safety issues from the burning incense and its ash. Also be aware of anyone who could be allergic to the incense.
Initially start in the center of the room and work out towards the perimeter in a clockwise spiral ( or approximating to ). The final act being to walk the perimeter of the area ending where you started to close the 'loop.'
3. While distributing the smoke in step 2, request in any words you like, that the forces of the universe assist you in the cleansing and protecting of the area for the greater good and that negative energies or forces be banished.
After the ritual, occasionally burn some incense or oil and allow the fragrance to permeate the area in order to maintain the 'clean space'

What are my ‘Energies?’
The seven energy centers or 'chakras' resident within the human body and are basically the soul. To illustrate this, if we took those energies away we are left with just a body, that without soul would be a dead body....so the energies are pretty important huh In fact i would suggest they are more you and me than anything else...
The physical matter ( carbon atoms ) of the body are tied together with forces on the physical plane; into human form. That includes the brain whose thought energies are of the physical - in small electrical impulses firing between synapses in the brain.
The soul energy, the energy of 7 chakras, is on another dimension, that of what we often refer to as the 'spiritual' plane - a plane of energy and not matter. This plane, unlike the physical plane, is one dimensional. It doesn’t have a width, depth and height or timeline like the physical plane.
Hence energy exists everywhere all the time - its omnipresent...
However when a soul inhabits a human body it exists in a cross-dimensional form. ie it is still present in the spiritual dimension but also resides in the physical dimension in the form of 7 energy centers or 'chakras'
Living things are the only place in the universe that this physical and energetic co -existence manifests. So every living thing on the planet truly represent a crossroads of two dimensions
At death the soul energy disconnects with the physical body but remains intact as energy. This is because of a universal contiguity of the same laws being applicable to metaphysics as with physics, the laws of conservation of energy which state that energy can not be destroyed it can only change form.
Hence a souls' journey is to always exists but to change its form, many times interacting with the physical world in the form of inhabiting a human body, then leaving that body at death - only to go around again...until final 'ascension' when it no longer is required to become human again.
In each life the energy acrues, keeps, learns and grows throughout all of these changes....The natural interaction of the energy affecting the physical body, and the human experience affecting the energy is the stuf of karma, growth and learning.
So the soul, resident in the human body as the chakras, are a collection of all of the experiences of all lives....
The brain however is of "this life" and learns only from birth onwards...
Which brings us to mind versus brain. The mind is a collection of conscious inputs not all of which are thoughts but are often attributed to being thought, as we are conditioned that brain is responsible for so much of the consciousness. Modern humans are conditioned nowadays to be 'brain centered'
For example we blame ourselves for being too emotional, too sensitive, too impatient, this that and the other...attributing the "we" to our mental wishes or state...
However every human being receives a mass of inputs that are consciousness but not necessarily thought. For example the obvious one of the heart, we feel emotions in the heart. Not the physical heart as that's off to one side but an energy centre ( chakra ) that's located in the center of the chest.
Likewise we have "gut feel" and "intuition", "sense", "nouse" and a hundred other words to attribute anything other than thought to some ethereal 'other' ill-defined sense..... We often attribute our passions, fear, insecurity, impatience, loves, fears and other states of being that are thoughts. And in many cases the thought is a tiny part of what's really happening....
So in working with energy we are working with the inate, core, essence of someone as a collection of all their learning and experience from all lives. Along with the residual challenges and learning we are all here to learn in this life - karma....
Spiritual awakenings, at whatever level, are periods when our conscious transitions more from pure logical thought to the deeper, broader, more core awareness of our energies, our soul and its meaning purpose and journey.
Hence energy work of any kind can have profound effects on the emotional, mental and physical. as its working at the lowest most profound level of a human.
CHAKRAS- THE CROWN
At the other end of the body from the base chakra which is mostly of the earthly physical, the crown chakra connects us to 'source energy' the universal life force, spirit - however you wish to call it.
As the source for spiritual energy ( life force ) coming into the body , a healthy crown chakra allows a good flow of chi down through the body along the two pathways that connects all the chakras, all the way down to the base then splitting to go via the legs and into the ground.
Thus the human being 'connects the circuit' between the spiritual and the physical.
It’s not usual to have much crown chakra sensation but it can happen as we develop this charka to increase the overall flow of chi and allow ourselves to progress closer to source energy.
CHAKRAS-THIRD EYE
The Third Eye Chakra represents our ability to perceive outside of ego and logic and to understand reality at the highest most truthful objective level.
This includes some of what are commonly referred to as the "psychic" senses, which are really an ability to 'see' and understand beyond what is physically observable.
Associated with the mind - it has a correlation to the brain, the brain being of the logical and physical whereas the third eye is that which is beyond logic yet apparent through third eye perception.
When in balance, a person uses the brain and its logic for that which can be logically analyzed on the physical plane but the third eye for energetic perception where simple logic cant bring answers.
Being near the top of the body the third eye chakra is working on much less of the physical plane and crosses over into the energetic, therefore there is little physical sense of the third eye, however if its imbalanced one can suffer headaches or tension in the brow.
A real key to understanding third eye development is that it is about greater perception outside of ego based perception of personal want, need, emotional reaction or "belief" and so for full third eye development we will usually have already been through a process of transformation like spiritual awakening to show us the limitations of thought and ego based perception.
CHAKRAS-THE THROAT
The throat Chakra is responsible for manifesting our ability to vocally express our innermost thoughts, desires, emotions and truth.
Seems simple in concept compared to some other chakras which have more complex or multi layer functions, however vocal expression of the deeper 'self' without fear and with total commitment to honesty and truth is itself an advanced state of human development.
As with the other chakras, many reasons for imbalance or dysfunction in this energy are often others reactions to our expressions of 'self' and so its extremely easy not to express ones true feelings, or to modify ones behavior due to the actions of others - or from the concern of actions of others.
This is especially true with the throat Chakra and its association with true expression and indeed...truth. At its most challenged this Chakra will find difficulty expressing when there is a need for balance and justice. It may be that consensus goes one way and we feel the need to speak out in order to restore balance. Vocal expression at times like this can be very intimidating so we will have likely already achieved a level of inner peace, balance, contentment and familiarity with our own power and assertion before we would
express this vocally through expression of the throat Chakra.
Its important to note that here we talk of the truth, not meaning each persons individual perception or judgment ( their "truth" ) but of the innate truth that Zen declares is inherent in any situation. Hence it is likely that in order to have a fully free flowing throat chakra we will have come a long way in our own personal development and obtained a high degree of objectivity and detachment from ego before we feel truly able to express in any situation, especially those that are likely to receive negative response from others.
True expression should be compassionate and consider its effect on others however must prioritize the need for reflecting the causes of others actions back to them. Often in daily life we don't do this simply because of others actions. This is usually peoples need to attribute motive to our expression, even when the motive is simply to express and nothing more.
The most advanced expression of the throat therefore is to speak with compassion, assertion and truth but also to understand that sometimes whatever the situation it will receive criticism from others through their need to assign or project motive onto what we say. And to realise that this is about their needs and issues and to be at peace with the fact that they also are on their journey and are learning their lessons.
CHAKRAS-THE HEART
Centered in the chest, the hart chakra is the emotional center - as well all probably know only too well.
In the previous chakras we mentioned the balance between the lower chakras sitting between the spiritual and physical planes but crossing more over to the physical - whereas the higher chakras cross over more to the energetic 'spiritual' plane.
Within this system the heart is the center point of that merging of dimensions. Its the point where the physical meets the energetic, where our mental consciousness is most aware, where the brain 'most connects' and most readily is aware. For example we may have a sacral or third eye chakra stimulus but be much less consciously aware of it than something that’s a heart energy which would be very forward in the consciousness as obvious happiness, sadness, love or pain.
The significance of the center point in any system is that its the pivot, the balance point and this is true with the heart. The point where the physical, spiritual and mental energies align. The significance of this is very important as its meant to be from where we operate as individuals, balancing the 3 spheres of consciousness. This however can work in different ways.
For example in a person who is heart centered but has not developed to adequately manifest their lower chakra energies to protect themselves, this often appears as someone who is extremely compassionate, loving and giving, but who doesn’t enforce the use of that compassion and is often disempowered. The over-loving, over-giving, putting others first but not asserting enough 'self' to protect from the negative effects of those who seek only to take.
An opposite manifestation of someone who’s heart energy isn’t adequately balanced is what a i call the "split". Where the person is working from the lower energies, for instance they're very practical and enforce their territory, maybe quite material and an aware of their needs.
But at the same time they aspire to work from the higher chakras and be spiritual but the two don’t meet in the middle. For example someone who wants to be compassionate and maybe even considers themselves to be, but at the same time is operating too much from the "me first" non empathic state. i.e. actions don’t follow words when it comes to others.
CHAKRAS-SOLAR PLEXUS
The Solar Plexus Chakra is responsible for outward expression as part of personality through projection or creation.
So for example music, painting, art, poetry, even home improvement or other similar projections of ones 'self' physically or vocally into an external manifestation is the stuff of this chakra.
Often it's attributed to being linked to ego and personality working with the brain. Undoubtedly this is true however i like to clearly delineate between the chakras energy as 'pure-self and pure potential' whereas the brains role in ego and its perception has an ability to self-defeat and can change ones conscious perception of what is innate and possible within this energy.
So for example, a classic case of validation / de-validation - say for instance someone created a work of art that received much applause then the brain would accept the sacral energy and its creative validity - however if the work received lots of criticism the brain can "decide" that the creativity is not valid and changes ones own perception of the energy through external de validation.
It doesn’t mean that this energy changes, it just means it would probably not find true expression through being de-validated. So if everyone loves or hates the paintings, either way its necessary to find expression of this energy - to be as creative and expressive as is core to the being.
Often the Solar Plexus is also seen as key to generation of the aura as the energetic projection of self..
CHAKRAS-THE SACRAL ( TUMMY )
The sacral chakras' location is just below the naval ( or tummy ) - centered in the body.
Although much teaching is that the primary role of this chakra is sexuality - in practice its just not that simple. More so that the sacral is a deep emotional center but of emotional expression related to physical level response.
In the section on the base chakra, we covered the fact that the lower the chakra in the body the more physical the effect and so being only the second chakra up from the ground, the sacral is very linked to physical reaction from emotional stimulus.
We often hear terms like "gut feel" or "gut reaction", these sort of terms often referring to a sacral response.
For example the sacral chakra is very associated with sensuality, not just of the sexual type but of association with the physical body, touch and sense for example the response to massage, a warm bath, sunbathing or eating when we're hungry.
It also has a place in relation to body image. As always a chakra has a nature of response as well as action, so tactility, physical expression of self as in sometimes how we dress and our posture are issues relating to the sacral. And how we react to other peoples view on these issues creates a reaction so physical rejection in any form affects the sacral.
With regard to sex, the sacral works in tandem with the base, the base fuelling
the basic passions and desires with the sacral working on the physical expression level of these desires.
An interesting aspect to the sacral is that it is also a repository for many deep emotions - i often call it "the emotional dumpster". The heart being the primary center of pure instant emotional reaction, the sacral then stores much of this after time has passed and the heart is not so responsive to things on daily basis, the emotions tend to get stored on the sacral if they are still unexpressed or unresolved.
Tummy problems, and uneven weight distribution around the tummy area can be ( but not always ) issues relating to unresolved sacral chakra energies. As always - if in any doubt about any physical symptoms always consult a medical professional first.
CHAKRAS-THE BASE
The base chakra is a fascinating chakra as its responsible for so much regarding our foundation of self.
Not only is it base in that its the lowest in the body, close to the base of the spine, but also in the fact that its effects alter the overall foundation and balance of belonging, self knowing, gender, power / assertion and grounding- hence base as in foundation...
The highest chakra in the body, the crown at the top of the head, being furthest from earth and nearest the spiritual energies is almost totally operating on the plane of spiritual energy - hence much less consciously affecting the physical body. However as we move down the body through all the chakras, that balance progressively swings until we get to the base which is the other end of the scale. So although still a spiritual energy center, the base energies are much more at a frequency ( often referred to as 'vibration' ) interactive with the physical body and ground or primal in nature.
The base is more earth in 'position', more physical and primal, and its energies are of a fire nature.. Fire is an energy that like its name is very powerful primal and can be transient and hard to balance. So we can often see within the base chakra this manifesting or 'flaring up' in physical expressions of fire energy such as sexual drive, frantic physical work or exercise, vocal or physical expressions of power, or if negatively manifested, frustration, temper, anger etc
When looking at balancing that energy we find elements of the power that are submissive and elements that are dominant - and these may each manifest in different situations. For example, we may find ourselves feeling powerful and in control in one situation , say for example work, and taking a less confident role in say for example relationships..
So when working with this chakra in order to become truly within our power, its often a very powerful and challenging experience to be journeyed through ones deepest drives and expressions of power and powerlessness.
Frequently this involves the most primal elements of self expression and how others have, and do, respond to that self expression, for example rejection issues in relationships causing validation issues, for example " am I feminine / masculine enough, attractive, etc" and "why does my boss pick on me" and other such issues.
In some people the power is reversely manifested and we seek self validation through - for instance promiscuity as a continued 'self worth' exercise, or giving ones power away through becoming subservient in relationships for self validation.
But with work on allowing someone to find their balance of power through energy work and demonstrating what’s really innately in that chakra, what power wants to manifest, how to manifest it and maintain the flow, and how we can isolate it from being affected by the actions of others - then a better balance is achieved we find self esteem, self expression and sense of balance altering for the good, sometimes on a profound and life changing level.

I guess it shouldnt have been a suprise but it was...... When i read that the guy in question was seriously avoiding commitment, the response came back "but all men are like that"...and the call ended.
But no all men arent like that, neither are all women and i do also read for the good guys who've had the same experience with women. Its really about PEOPLE.
One of my favorite sayings is that manhood isn't a shirt size - and what i mean by that is that physical age is no indication of maturity.
Maturity, responsibility, courage, faith and integrity are defined by how developed we are as people and largely from what life experience has taught us to date.
Generally life is a lot easier than it used to be, no lions to kill, no rites of passsage to manhood and so we see, more than ever, the power plays, games and insecurities being brought into the workplace and into relationships..too often the modern day gladiatorial arenas where people now work out their 'stuff' at the expense of others..
So what sorts the men from the boys and the women from the girls ?
Actions..not words......everyone knows the words

I frequently see the discussion on belief being a major topic on boards particularly the newer type of 'twin flame' board thats appeared on the net in the last few years.
Usually the topic is is it Delusion, God, Karma, Free Will or something else that defines soul connections and the mechanisms that drive them.
Two things always crop up in my mind reading all of these discussions...
Firstly that these connections have been happening as long as theres been humans on the earth and yet theres still an assumption that we don't already know the answers to what makes them happen and how it works - despite a mass of evidence. This is probably because it is impossible for anyone to predict the WHEN, and therefore theres an assumption that we cant predict the WHAT - which is not the case....
And secondly that whatevers happened to others, it probably wont for me because how do i know or believe it will ?
I feel the second is the key to understanding the first. And thats because we are conditioned ( the role of the ego, its 'world model' and how we fit into it )to structures of belief. These are models of cause and affect, logic, obervable patterns of events that develop as we grow and exeprience more. Within ego, there is a judgment structure based upon whats been experienced personally and what the mind has decided is 'real' or not..
So when something comes along outside of that belief structure we often dont know what to believe. This is especially poignant in the classic case of 5 psychics say hes coming back and 5 say he isnt. Which really messes up that belief system tremendously...because we believe one thing then believe the other and what a mess that causes.
What i have seen and experienced is that when someone can be channeled into their intuition and also have the mechanisms of soul connections explained, then the ego begins to quiet and the inner peace comes. This is the case time after time after time..
In the case of a real soul connection ( unfortunately there are some that arent, and a noticeably large correlation between the increasing number of those and the rising pupularity of 'twin soul' boards ), then the issue isnt that your mind is deluding you, its that your instincts, emotions, inutitions - 'energy centres' are telling you this is for real.
Whats happening is the mind is fighting it, the ego is saying "nope doesnt equate because i have no way to verify from experience and no tangible evidence".
The only advise i would offer is that if you do participate in these boards where the discussion is questioning the mechanisms of soul connections, then realise there is a ton of evidence study, work and case studies that already exists and has been verified over time. Maybe looking for that would be useful.
Secondly if your looking for a belief system - believe your instincts...

And finally, God has a sense of humor...
The most vital thing to understand about soul connections ( and often the least understood thing about soul connections ) is that they obey totally different rules and work in very different ways to conventional relationships.
Understanding some of these differences is VITAL to getting a grip on the often seemingly bizarre situations we find ourselves in when connected to someone.
In a conventional relationship person A meets person B, theres usually some physical attraction, then getting to know the person, then emotions begin to develop. A 3 stage process...
In soul connections they can start in the same way with stages 1 and 2 but then WHAM the emotions come from nowehere and they are HUGE, usually massively disproportionate from the time we've spent together or how much we think we know the person.
It's also very common that the emotions come first sometimes when we havent even met the person face to face. Or the very first time we meet them the connection happens and we realise we do know them and somehow the emotions are there already.
So the crucial aspect to realise here is that its an EXTERNAL force between us and them not internal as in a conventional relationship..... Do we love them and them us, yes but its not a love thats something we 'decide', its been decided for us by the connection and was spiritually pre existing, all we had to do was meet them in order to recognise that.
Both partners will respond, usually instantly knowing theres something special but how much they are affected at the time and how much they realise whats going on depends upon their level of spiritual openess at the time.
We're all familiar with the situation where its fine for a time then one partner just seems to freak out and head for the hills because its all so strong and they dont feel in control of it. A classic case where the closer they get to it the more theres still there and they fear the lack of control they would have in a conventional relationship.
So remember, this is an external force and its strong. To those of us who are open thats a wonderful thing. To those who still have fear insecurity and doubt it can also be a terrifying thing - something thats so powerful they begin to fear it because they have no escape rooute and no control.
So when you have your readings and 10 readers say no he doesnt love you and ten say yes he does, then you join a huge group of people who have experienced the "what the f*** is this and whats the reality ?"
Well if your in a true connection, the reality is yes the love is there, but its a love that is not a conventional 'emotionally decided' love, its something that transcends that. You love each others soul in a pure spiritual way and that has existed before you even met.
The thing to really understand is that although the other person may SEEM to have their freewill overiding this, often its pure fear. Also if they are still spiritually closed they arent yet feeling the full force of the connection so the truth may be that yes they feel it but that they havent opened enough yet to let it consume them and theyre fighting it.
Have faith that spiritual openess is the order of the day, its often why theres a connection, to make the spiritually closed people walk the path of total openess. And when they get there, then the connection will control them as much as it controls you.
Dont be under the illusion that they can somehow choose never to be open or they have enough will power to overide it. True connections are mututal and as the runner opens up they will be more affected by it. Free will can not maintain control over these things forever, its simply not powerful enough. And besides, this is why you were given the connection in the first place, to bring you both to new levels of spiritual openesss and awareness.
I believe it was Einstein who said "the only thing thats constant in the universe is change' People cant choose not to change its how the universe works, they can just delay the process. They cannot use free will to stand still forever.
Its why over the years i have thousands of letters from people, all of who have experienced this phenomenon and have been through the hell that often accompanies it. People reunite after incredible amounts of time and the love is still as strong, it nevers goes. Its just that it took so long for one of the partners to let go enough to accept it.
A classic case i often site is a client who met her soul connection when she was 18 and knew there was something there but chose to not go with it. Now in her 40's she called me in tremendous pain to say she cant live without this guy. He just cant get his head around how she could stay away for over 20 years and then be in so much pain to be with him.
But this story isnt unusual....when people open up it gets to them, they cant fight it anymore. My files are full of cases where people come together across continents, over incredible periods of time.
So when you have a reading try not to make any judgments on what he or she is feeling right now, because thats really not the whole story and most often wont be any sort of guidance whatseoever.
Get a reading on the karma, the purpose of the connection, the path and the progression - thats going to give you the right answers.

Spiritual Awakening FAQ – by Steve Gunn
What is a Spiritual Awakening ?
A spiritual awakening is a process of considerable inner change that some people will go through where their entire being, consciousness and intuitive abilities ascend to another – higher - level of energy and awareness.
As an experience it can, and most often will, be profound and disturbing with little or no feeling of control and most often no idea what’s actually happening.
What are the symptoms
Please note – these symptoms are not to be used for diagnosis of any kind. Some can be associated with medical or psychological conditions – always consult a medical professional.
Any or all of the following symptoms can happen;
A form of disconnection from the usual reality – feeling a different sense of ‘self’
Feeling of being in another place or time
Suddenly feeling connected to the universe and other people
A sense that this is an almost ‘out-of-this-world’ experience
Psychic senses working overtime
You can tune into other peoples feelings
Sleep patterns change considerably
Random surges of emotions
Energy levels vary considerably
Often wake up very tired
Warm palms of hands or feet
Tingling hands and or feet
Heart palpitations
Shivers down the back
Unusual synchronicities
Sometimes paranormal events such as lights flashing or objects moving
What are the causes
The most common causes are a deep personal experience at the soul level. Usually a profound loss, deep soul connection or near death experience or even a combination of these.
What do we mean by the term spiritual ?
The ‘spiritual’ part refers to the soul – that which is traditionally considered to be indefinable or intangible but which is actually very clearly defined as the seven energy centers or’ chakra’ that are the souls’ presence in the physical body.
These are;
Crown – crown of the head
Third Eye – center of the forehead
Throat – center of the throat
Heart – center of the chest alongside the physical heart
Solar Plexus – center of the chest
Sacral – behind the belly button
Base – just forward of the base of the spine
Each chakra is like a transmitter and receiver of energy, each works at a different frequency and each with a different task.
Everyone is of course aware of the heart chakra, it’s the one our brain is most aware of as our emotional center, and most people will be very aware of how their heart chakra feels at any one time. Love and pain, happiness and sadness are the heart chakra energies everyone’s used to.
The sacral or tummy chakra is probably the other one we are aware of as some of its functions are deeper emotions and expression of deeper desires. This we often see refereed to as “gut feel”, or we describe actions as “gutsy” and deep emotions affect our tummy.
However being consciously aware of each of the other chakras is another matter unless we have learned how to – because we usually are each individually familiar with how we feel inside, as a sort of overall integrated awareness – the what we are like, and how we react to situations. This integrated awareness is probably best described as the feeling of “being me”
What does a spiritual awakening do ?
A spiritual awakening changes the levels of energy within all of the chakras.
Being energy, the soul is subject to the laws of the universe – same with spiritual energy as with energy in the physical world - energy can not be created or destroyed it can only be changed from one form to another.
So the soul itself can never die, its existence transcends any physical lifetime. But it does change, grow, progress and will slowly gain strength, gain energy throughout time. This it will do through many lifetimes on this earth and the experiences that come with that earthly human manifestation.
This is still totally inline with the laws of energy, because as a soul gains more energy – that energy is drawn from the universe. ( often referred to as the Universal Life Force ) So the overall balance of energy within the universe stays constant.
Upon physical death the soul energy once again becomes a part of the universal energy, many times to be reborn into a new physical body to continue its journey – and so it goes….
So in a mirroring of the physical cycles of nature, the universes’ ‘soul cycles’ are not unlike for example the rain cycle, where water falls as rain, to evaporate into cloud, to cool ,and to once again form as rain.
So why a sudden transition to a higher level ?
Like everything in nature there are seasons and so it is with the soul, seasons of progression. A spiritual awakening is a time when the soul, the seven chakras, are meant to rapidly transcend from one state of being, awareness, level and power – to another.
This is why its such an amazingly powerful and often confusing experience, because that feeling we described earlier of “being me” changes.. This change rocks our world as we struggle to understand why we suddenly feel like we’re someone else or try to reconnect with how we used to feel.
These big changes come for a reason and are linked to a time when the soul enters a new phase of purpose.
Are all awakenings the same ?
No. Some come in several smaller stages usually separated by years. What we’re really talking about here is the very considerable ones that come ‘all at once’ and represent the largest challenge as the transition is so huge.
The awakening experience
What we aren’t talking about here is anything that’s intellectual or on a level of mental realization or understanding. The awakening is spiritual, ie your entire sense of reality, self, emotions instincts and inner life experience takes a massive leap to a new level.
I often refer to this experience as a metaphysical version of being hit by a cement truck at 70 miles an hour. The sheer shock of the experience makes many question their sanity at the time.
Psychic experiences, wild emotions and senses way outside of what we knew as ‘ordinary’ are the order of the day. In addition, people will sense the changes in you and often react strangely.
As the psychic abilities grow, that adds to the confusion. There isn’t one ability that’s ‘psychic’ but several. Some or all of these will gradually open up during this process.
Can I make myself awaken ?
No. This is something that’s a part of your souls’ progress at defined times in its journey. You can choose to develop your energies for better flow, to feel more at peace and be better in tune generally - but cannot consciously choose to transcend to another level.
Can I stop an awakening ?
Unfortunately not – however you can choose not to develop some of the psychic – intuitive abilities or to use them.
Can the process be managed ?
Yes and it needs to be managed, you will need to be taught what’s going on and have someone else assist with grounding and leveling out your energies – as well as learn so rudimentary energy meditations.
Make sure whoever you work with has experience with awakenings as the well intentioned energy worker can cause as much damage as good if they don’t have specific experience of awakenings.
Beyond that, you may well choose to develop your new found abilities.
How long does the process last ?
There are several stages and they usually don’t have a defined timing, it depends on how you manage the process. Working with someone to manage the process makes the transition easier, quicker and less traumatic.
Unfortunately I won't be posting my articles on this medium anymore as it really doesn'tfit with the blog style of unedited uncategorised streams of everything from special offers to complaints about feedback and those terrible creatures "MEN"....
However i will continue to post many categorised articles on the web which will pop up with just a search and there are already many out there...

The much hailed "Secret" seems to have brought the 'Law of Attraction' into sharp focus recently through its appearance on numerous websites and a sudden surge of people now teaching the Law of Attraction.
As a 'Law', it has validity, ask any Lightworker...
Intent creates energy - its always been that way. Thats no secret...
We could all do with much more positive energy and outlook to make the world a better place - thats without question.
As someone who teaches spiritual transformation through acceptance, realisation and working through ones karma to transcend to higher levels, this positive outlook approach is an essential ingredient to "lighting our way".
Recent emails, comments and websites proclaiming magic properties to this phenomenon seem to be confusing what is an accepted law of metaphysics ( in parallel to Newton's Laws of Physics of action creating reaction ) to an almost magical level of manifesting anything we require.
Within the framework of working through ones life karma its definitely an element but if anyone wants to see the bigger picture and how it fits in to what is each of our individual life challenges, we must accept the basic foundation of spiritual transformation which is the overcoming of the I, the ego the want and the need.
Attracting abundance can and sometimes will also mean attracting challenges because they are a part of why we're here. Learning, understanding and progressing.
I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed.-

If you’ve met someone who’s changed you forever
If you love someone so much you realize you just weren’t alive before them
If you’ve met someone who’s awakened you to the unbelievable beauty of existence
If you’ve met someone who is more you than even you are
If you miss someone so much you can’t even conceive of existing without them
If you've lost someone and it feels like your soul left with them then read on…
Typical of many cases I deal with is the story of Fiona and Robert.
I first met Fiona when she booked a telephone reading and I realized she was suffering a great deal of pain and confusion from the recent breakup of her relationship with Robert. I recommended she seek healing and, a week later, she arrived at my door.
I wish I had a cent for every tear that has been shed on that end of my sofa -- it’s a wonder it isn’t afloat by now. Seeing people in complete despair is a common occurrence for me but it never gets any easier watching someone fall apart, not least because I’ve been there. Some days, you just wonder what the human race is coming to when people can hurt others in the way this girl was hurting. However, she was here now and I was going to help her.
Her total devastation and confusion was apparent and, as I read both her energies and Robert’s, I realized this was a very strong metaphysical ( soul mate ) connection, hence the level of suffering she was enduring. She told me her story, described what seemed an ideal relationship – until, in the midst of it, Robert had turned tail and run without warning. To add to her grief and despair, within a week he had hooked up with someone else and told her he wasn’t coming back.
As in most of these cases, by tuning into him I knew he was in love with her. Fiona, however, was in no position to believe this, not based on his actions. It was totally clear to me, however, that the bond between them was strong and had grown ever stronger and stronger whilst they were together, to the point that it scared the hell out of Robert.
How do you tell someone that a person they love has hurt them because they love them too much? How do you explain that the ‘runner’ fears the intensity of the connection? I could tell this other woman meant nothing to Robert and was just a shoulder for him to cry on. But, to Fiona, it seemed he had been a cheater and had callously lied about loving her. That’s a very natural assumption when someone you trust totally turns a one eighty and goes off with someone else without warning.
For those of us who are emotionally and spiritually open to love on any level, the idea of someone running from happiness is bizarre and cruel in the extreme. Fiona was struggling to make sense of it and wasn’t winning at all, which added to her immense grief.
As I began her healing and looked at what had happened to her energies, I realized she was suffering from what I call ‘soul shock.’ When someone you have a deep connection with suddenly pulls away, the dis-connect leaves you feeling as if your soul has left your body, like an empty shell. You just can’t get back to reality and you can feel as if you simply exist.
This experience is similar to grieving the death of a loved one and I know many counselors, at least those who accept and understand connections, who will treat this pain in the same way as a bereavement
. What we're talking about here is not a conventional emotional relationship. A soul connection is the most powerful soul level connection with someone and when separations like this occur you just can't "get over it" or "move on" however hard you try. Many people can't eat sleep or work for a long time, a lot end up on medication and in counseling.
Even after more cases than I can remember, it never fails to amaze me how powerful healing is and what a perfect tool it can be for dealing with soul mate connections. I pulled Robert’s energy away from Fiona’s so that she wasn’t being tugged around like a leaf in a gale by his confusion. This process forced out some of her grief.
Unexpressed emotions are debilitating and dangerous, so I opened up her heart chakra and used a technique I call ‘accelerated bereavement.’ This acceleration brings out the despair and pain in a burst of crying that’s so deep you know it’s from the soul. But, after twenty minutes or so, this incredible pain eases and the subject calms. That’s exactly what happened with Fiona.
What is unique about soul connections is that we feel our partner’s grief and confusion and they feel ours. This creates a tsunami of pain as the energy flows across our spiritual link and bounces each of us around like two corks on a string. Putting a block in a place eases ‘soul shock’ tremendously, so that’s what I did to allow Fiona a chance to get on her feet again.
As the weeks and months went by, I saw her and treated her on a regular basis. Throughout that time, she grew slowly but progressively stronger, even as she continued to ache badly from the pain of separation from Robert. When you are separated from a soul mate, you miss your partner every minute of the day and most days are nothing more than a torture of aching and needing. The soul mate connection is unlike a conventional relationship for, in these cases, the pain of separation doesn’t lessen. Some days it feels as if your heart will burst out of your chest and fly to your true partner.
Fiona experienced all of this and more, although with readings and healing I was able to reduce the worst of the excesses and keep up her hope that the situation would resolve itself and Robert would come back. At times, she would call in total pain and disbelief and ask how anything could hurt so much and why couldn’t she just get over him? As always, I explained that a connection so strong was something we have little control over and, in time, he would return. While we wait, all we can do is stay strong and accept what has happened. Trying to understand why just adds to the torture.
In time, Robert did contact her. Fiona, however, found it very difficult to talk to him. He frequently contradicted himself and didn’t seem to have a clue what he was doing, how he felt or what he wanted. This, of course, made it much harder for her to be in contact with the man she loved so much, as she still struggled to make sense of why he had run in the first place.
This is a very common albeit totally bizarre and bewildering phase that nearly always occurs in these relationships. While the more aware soul feels the immense sense of pain and loss, the ‘runner,’ who mostly has a ton of issues, is absolutely confused by the power of the connection and will seem to contradict themselves and not know quite what’s going on. It’s common to hear ‘I love you,’ then a week later, ‘I don’t love you,’ and a host of other seemingly weird behaviors.
Understand, however, that this is your soul partner struggling to understand what’s going on within them, as they are also totally overwhelmed by the feelings and confusion that the connection brings.
At this point, I asked Fiona to trust me and to follow some simple rules for communication. She agreed when she realized the present interaction was confusing her even more. I asked Fiona to set out what she wanted from Robert, make it clear to him, then to back away. To insist that, if and when he called, she didn’t want to hear how bad his life was, especially after she had offered everything to make him happy. And that if he could not be there for her, then to put the phone down.
Staying strong in this phase takes an awful lot of guts and faith when your runner seems so close to returning. To push them away unless certain criteria are met is scary when you so fear losing them again. But Fiona did it… And, as in most cases, after a while it worked. It’s said that runners return properly when the pain of separation is greater than the fear of commitment.
And by refusing to negotiate on anything other than coming together properly, Fiona made Robert realize he had to face this once and for all or lose her.
They met, they talked, she called me. Robert had accepted he couldn’t go on as he had and he was prepared to face his fears and give it a go. Many more meetings occurred before Fiona was sure he was ready and knew that he would face his fear of commitment.
When finally they both came together again, and had put the past behind them, Fiona asked Robert to come to me for a reading and consultation. Seeing a runner is a rare opportunity for me, because when most reconciliations occur, my work is done.
Robert arrived and it was apparent he had no idea what to expect. I gave him a psychic reading and saw what was going on within him and how he had struggled to make sense of the past couple of years. What he said was a real eye opener for me, a rare chance to see how the incredible intensity of a soul connection can scare the daylights out of someone seemingly so strong and together.
He started talking about a time before Christmas when he realized just how deeply he felt for Fiona and, although he had always shunned commitment of any sort, he had decided to ask her to marry him. On his way to buy a ring, he talked to a friend about marriage and said he suddenly became very scared and unsure. He never did tell me what the friend said but whatever it was plugged deep into his fears. After that, instead of asking her to marry him, Robert told Fiona it was over and that he had found someone else.
If you’re astounded reading this, so was I when I heard it. His thinking was that he couldn’t go through with it and maybe he wasn’t good enough for her.
What if he wasn’t ready, what if it didn’t work? All the other fear and insecurity-based questions rose up in him. His thinking was if she thought he had someone else, she could move on and not follow him.
When runners run, they really do run. Robert had demonstrated absolute mastery of the runner 180-degree speed turn. It was obvious that this man was unsure about himself - never mind what he could offer in a relationship. He made all his decisions from the head, not the heart. He mistakenly assumed Fiona could ‘get over it.’ It’s one of the most frustrating things when runners make assumptions and don’t give the other partner a chance. That’s just what this one did.
However, now Robert was back and he was talking to me and that meant he wanted to understand what this was about and how he could deal with it. This was a terrific omen for the couple’s future.
The outcome was that Robert did start to deal with his demons. His karmic lesson was to realize that he couldn’t live life by purely mental decisions. He learnt that his heart wouldn’t stay away and that fighting the connection only hurt them both and, ultimately, didn’t work.
I now have an invitation to their wedding on my desk
Fiona and Robert’s case is very typical and, to my mind, reinforces the same message - the heart always wins in the end.
