Have you ever wondered why certain things in our lives do not work out no matter what we do to change or alter the course of events? Sometimes we are plucked out of a situation by events that jar the spirit, the reason is ,to change, to grow , to learn.
Our lives are a direct result of all choices and decisions we have made in the past.

When there is a loss of a job many will complain and say why me, sometimes it is because there is a need to move in a different direction on ones life path. The loss of a job can be a blessing in disguise, sure it’s difficult to gather ones resources and forge ahead into the unknown, however, had the conditions remained the same there would be no room for growth.
All challenges lead to growth of spirit, which would otherwise be unattainable if change did not cause it.
All things in life are cause and effect. Stagnation leads to complacency, not that there is anything wrong with feeling content, however, if there is a desire for change and one feels powerless or fearful to execute change, an unexpected event that causes a jolt to the spirit institutes change.

This is an interesting topic and as some of you may already know Spirit Guides are there to help us during the course of our earth plane lifetime.
For those of you who may not know who Spirit Guides are I will try to explain as best as is possible.
Spirit Guides are in Spirit, in other words, they do not live in the flesh or on the earth plane, however, they do come to visit and sometimes when we really need a helping hand they will manifest. Who are they? They are people who have once lived on the earth plane and because they have finished their work and arrived at a place of fulfillment while living on this planet will not reincarnate or be reborn for the purpose of working out their own personal development. Some advanced souls who have passed to spirit choose to return to the earth plane or reincarnate for the sole purpose of teaching mankind. The term passed to spirit is another verbal expression for the death of the physical body because only the physical body which becomes worn dies, simply saying the words, “passed to spirit” defines the process in a short way since the spirit never dies.
Where do Spirit Guides live? They exist on the inner planes. There are different planes of existence, we live on the earth plane and the inner planes are other dimensions that most people cannot see. There is something called “the veil” that separates the different planes of existence, and for mediums the veil is very thin which means that they can see into other realms or other dimensions of existence.
We all have Spirit Guides who have been assigned to us and as we grow and develop spiritually were are assigned new Spirit Guides who can help us advance in our work. For example if you are a teacher or a nurse, spirit guides who excelled in these areas when they lived on the earth will be sent to you.
Often times when we are faced with challenging situations in the work that we choose to do, spirit guides gently guide and assist and sometimes without our knowledge of their presence certain difficulties that we face are overcome effortlessly. I am sure that many of you reading this have had this instant relief happen at sometime in your life and were pleased and felt wonderful and wondered how these mini miracles happened. Well, thank your Spirit Guides; they are waiting for you to realize them.
Let’s continue on to the topic of this blog post, which is “Spirit Guide Messages Through Meditation.”
In an earlier blog I wrote about one meditation technique, which can be done easily and without too much fuss. I realize that many reading this blog post will have mastered the skill of meditation, however, for my friends who are new to all this you may want to scroll back through my blog to June 5, 2009 and read the post entitled, “Peace and Serenity through Meditation.” If you are new to meditation, it is not advised that you begin calling on your Spirit Guides from the start, but rather get comfortably set into a pattern of doing the meditations daily until it feels easy and brings you peace. For comparison purposes we can liken it to the comfort zone of breaking in a new pair of shoes until finally they are perfect! Once you have arrived at a place within yourself where you are comfortable with meditation, than and only than ask for your Spirit Guides to show themselves to you and listen to what they have to say. This hearing is done telepathically, through the inner ear and with your inner mind through thought you can ask them their name. This is a good time to ask any questions you may have about your present circumstance.<>
Keep in mind that this is all in the imagination and images will be formed accordingly or you may just hear instruction and guidance.
For your protection please remember to say a prayer of your choice before you begin your meditation.
Just as you would not venture into a public park at night alone without protection, you should not venture into the inner planes through meditation without a prayer to protect you.<>

In discussing dark nights of the soul it is important to first define them.
What are they and why do we have them?
Dark nights of the soul are times in our lives when we are faced with situations that challenge us on all fronts. These are times of spiritual and or emotional inner turmoil and heart-wrenching pain when all hope is lost and despondency sets the stage. We can compare these dark nights of the soul to being inside a maze, without light to see our way out through all the turns and bends as we endlessly reverse direction going back over the same path in the hope of finding the doorway that leads to the exit. Most often times resistance and loss of understanding of the behaviors of others who may have contributed to this perilous spot cause additional concern and distress. The truth is if we are affected by other peoples actions there is a trail and sometimes it dates back a few lifetimes. Past life people places and things bring experiences in present time to us. These often time dreaded catalytic influences are messengers in disguise who in a sense shine the light on the path through the maze, guiding us turn by turn lesson by lesson, until a place of higher conscious is reached.
However trying and difficult the lessons are they are learning curves that lead to the development of higher states of conscious awareness, which would have, otherwise not be attainable. And it is these times and the lessons learned thereof that prepare us for our earth plane work, whatever it be. Everyone who walks the earth plane will experience times in their lives when challenges are presented and some of them will be overwhelming. We have these dark nights of the soul because they are learning tools. It would be nice if they weren’t so difficult and so painful, however, I do suppose if the lessons were easy they wouldn’t be meaningful enough to teach us enlightened understanding.
Surely all things that we learn enhance our understanding of ourselves, our fellow man and the world around us. May the golden dawn light all dark nights of the soul. ~

Nothing stops time like a soul mate…
When exactly did they come into your life and what happened next? How is it possible to have lost the concept of time?

What happens next? Your morality and integrity tell you “no” it’s off limits, they are married or in another relationship, but your heart longs to see them again and your soul is awakened by thoughts of them. Or perhaps you’re both single and free to have a new relationship …

Often times many of us speak about and emotionally connect with past situations that were less than perfect times in our lives. Verbally repeating past scenarios is a sure way to undo any positive plan we have set for ourselves.
There is power in the spoken word, and to witness it unfold try speaking only that which you wish to manifest and you will find that it actually works, just like magic! If the past was unpleasant and things didn’t unfold in the way we wished them to, it is within our personal power to change the course of events and turn them into something closer to our hearts desire.
Reflecting on hurtful situations with heartache and regret is in many instances a learned behavioral pattern which impedes our progress to succeed and to achieve all things magnificent. As human beings on the earth plane we are capable of and entitled to having our dreams manifest, it is our right to be peaceful, happy and healthy.
So often we wish that things could just run smoothly without interference or bumps in the road, and ideally this would be wonderful. The truth is that if life was so easy and if we weren’t faced with obstacles to overcome there would be no growth and we would stagnate. And lets face it, if we were all perfect none of us would be here, so it is always a relief to know how human we are and that the obstacles placed in our path are tools for soul growth. The more we work through in this lifetime the less we will have to work out in the next lifetime. We come back to earth time after time and continue lesson after lesson until we no longer have to reincarnate, unless of course we choose to come back to the earth plane to teach and to help our fellow man.
Although it is difficult to keep a positive focus when our emotions take over and rule the day, it may be a good idea to count to one hundred “silently” or take a walk or make a cup of hot chocolate or tea or coffee, or just take a break and go into a silent moment of reflection while looking objectively at the situation that has caused conflict and unrest. It is very helpful during these confusing times to ask questions of ourselves, and here are just a few examples: “How do I feel about this? What can I do to change matters?, What part of what has happened is a repetition of an old pattern? By taking an objective perspective we can reconnect with the mind and soul that is our very essence. We are all part of the divine order of things and can receive guidance from a higher source by simply going into the quiet and “tapping in” and in so doing we can regain control of our minds and our emotions.
These learning curves are like bends in the road, we are the drivers always in control holding the wheel steadily as we turn curve after curve, and in likewise fashion we can train our mind and our souls to handle challenges by taking a firm grasp on any given challenging situation and looking at it in such a way that we now become an objective observer rather than the emotionally enmeshed victim.
In this way we can gather strength in our minds and hearts and ultimately come to realize that WE are in control of our destiny.
Changing patterns that we have become accustomed to is never easy, but it can be done by taking one small baby step at a time and ever so slowly gathering our thoughts and strength and taking the time to patiently observe how we feel.
It is in this way that we can be kind to ourselves and heal the parts of ourselves that need healing and slowly change the things that have worn our spirit thin. Can you remember the innocence of childhood and how open and honest you were back than, before the world at large set in? This precious innocence is still within all of us and we are no less or greater than our fellow man, we all part of the same essence created in the likeness and image of Divinity.
Be kind to yourself you deserve the best that this life has to offer. ☺
