When I began my career as a psychic I was employed by PRN or Psychic Readers Network in the late 90's. I seem to remember that this was a time in this century that psychics broke through and were receiving a form of respect and wonder by the common man. We were becoming 'the talk of the town' and metaphysics became a word that was being recognized quickly and began to be scrutinized by fundamentalists. This branch of philosophy was being reorganized by men and women claiming they were on the outside of natural or scientific knowledge.
According to the Random House College Dictionary the word 'psychic' is described as: 'pertaining to, associated with, attributed to, or caused by some nonphysical, apparently supernatural, force or agency. A person who is specially sensitive to psychic influences or forces. Of or pertaining to the human soul or mind. Pertaining to or noting mental phenomena originating outside of, or independently of, normal physiological processes.
We are 'different' or out of sorts with the layman. We were given the gift of intuition for some reason beyond even our understanding. We are all light workers and are meant to be teachers of the soul, mentors of the confused, and eclectic nursemaids of the lost.
When did being psychic become a career with monetary results? Competing for the right to 'help' another human being has become an overwhelming burden on our ability to do our work properly.
I understand that competition makes the world go around and keeps us on our toes. Yet in the field of psychic counseling we have become business men and women paying for the best position so we can earn a good living using our God given talents. I am finding that the competition is overtaking our purpose of being teachers of the soul. And now I have found that to work in this field, one must pay with earthly money to get ahead.
I understand that the world's population has increased in drastic numbers thereby more psychics are born to this world than past centuries. Yet, when did we grow into such a large group that the competition among psychics is mind boggling?
I have to ask myself, since it seems that working as a 'psychic' (using this word to describe all of us sensitive to mental phenomena) has become almost a necessity to the common man creating the fact that there may be some that are working under the pretext that they were blessed with psychic abilities yet they are artists of deception.
So after reviewing this blog, concentrating with my intuition I must come to the conclusion that in this during this time of the Universal Cycle of Life, competition among 'psychics' is a necessary part of the whole. Competition creates the fact that the common man has free will and many many choices of finding the reasoning or understanding of his/her place in this Universe. And hopefully the Universe is steering each and every human being to continue to seek answers and they are finding the correct guidance they need to continue their daily lives.
Having the ability to validate the thoughts and actions of another human being in order to create an understanding or give answers to the many questions of this society is a blessing and should be treated with respect.
I feel we psychics have an obligation to help all those in need of guidance and if we see someone in need and ignore them, or deceive them, we will lose this ability next time around and become ourselves one of the common man in need of Universal guidance and counseling and who knows what it will cost us in the future?
