Maybe it's time to start thinking through an open Heart and Loving Mind, together, fair minded and balanced. The only way we're going to get these relationships to work is to wake up, see what's going on, and begin to make this about Love. That can only happen through a Loving Heart, after all that's what it's there for.
There is a spiritual part of us, that's not working and we have to bring ourselves to that place called the Heart, connect to it, and integrate within it, first, before we can have any relationship with another person.
Everything from an intellectual construct alone, is a place of disconnect. The mind is a very tricky thing (the mind is the devil in this game) compared to the soul, and spirit which is perfect, and free. One must be aware that the devil operates not only through our individual lower mind, but also our higher mind where ego resides.
Christ came here to teach us how to love, he didn't come to invent a new religion called Catholicism, the Roman Empire did that. So here we are, it's Ash Wednesday, a time to come together and reflect back to that time, 2,000 years ago, and try to remember why Christ came here, what he went through, and maybe have a window of understanding open.
When my son was nine, we were in Church and he wanted to go up and receive communion, and I let him. After mass, I asked him what he got from it, and he said a small cracker, Mom. When we take communion (the bread of life) and get the wafer, it's meaningless without taking in the Words. The Words that were given to Christ by God that has a spiritual component, a moral compass, and we have align our behavior with these words, acting in ways to become loving, and caring and compassionate. You have to start talking the talk and walking the walk.
What good is spiritual knowledge if your not on a Spiritual Path? We act like children, emotionally acting out, throwing tantrums, manipulating people, just to get our own way. Modeling our behavior after the people you see on most of these women, and men on these reality shows, are they really someone you want to adulate, is that who you want to become?
We can make this about Love, we certainly do deserve to be loved. How about cast that new part for yourself, out there, and then just step into it. Isn't this about where you stand with yourself, first? There isn't one man, or one woman, who can make you happy, if you're not happy with yourself. We must Love who we are and accept our responsibility to do the necessary work. We have to go deep within our own soul, and we have to meet ourselves, and accept everything about who we are. Accepting our humanness and whatever we've done. Taking the good with the bad, and then we have to stop blaming other people for our own circumstances. We have to become the magnet that attracts Love, and become that person we want to be with.
If your Heart isn't open, then you've shut off the connection to the source, and with it, your own ability to love. When the heart is closed, we become the negatively charged magnet that repels everyone, in an endless cycle of opposition. You say this, and I say that, and we agree or don't agree, or agree to disagree, but we never get any closer to love and none of these problems ever get resolved.
We have to change the basic premise here and that is men do not rule or lead, and women are not subservient to men. We are all equal, we are one, and there isn't one person who is better or superior to anyone else. Maybe the first step is to take a stand for yourself and accept that you can find someone better, (in this case) someone you can love, who will love you back in return. As soon as you stop accepting crumbs, and stop accepting these unacceptable relationships that's never been alright to accept from the beginning of time, that will be the moment of your own epiphany, when you take that first step up on your own spiritual path.
The light bulb in your own mind has to go off, and when it does, you will begin to see nothing can get any worse, and it's not going to get better until the moment you say "I'm done," and flip the switch. And when you do, thing will begins to change. You can still go this way or that way, as you work through it to find your footing.
You can accept Love! Accept only what your willing to give and receive, and given a little time, you will get there, it will happen. It doesn't just happen overnight. Everyone has a part, and everyone is accountable to do their own personal work. And, if you want to be loved, you have to learn how to love.
