Rahu and Ketu are names given to the Nodes of the Moon/Chandra. Rahu is the North Node and Ketu the South Node. Rahu and Ketu are on the Ecliptic, where the Moon/Chandra aligns with the Sun/Surya and Earth, thus indicating a harmonious relationship with Sun/Surya, Moon/Chandra and Earth. They are known to be instigators of Eclipses, thus causing darkness or brining light to us. Their Eclipse symbolically eclipsing the Sun/Surya, signfying one's Consciousness and Moon/Chandra, the signfying one's Mind indicate the concept the death- rebirth. The phase after the Eclipse is considered a New Birth/Rebirth for Sun/Surya and Chandra/Moon. This unique ability gives control of destiny to Rahu and Ketu. But, it is important to understand that these are Non-Existent Nomadic Nodal Planets also called Shadow Planets, i.e Chaaya Graha. (Chaaya means Shadow, Graha means Planet)

During the Epic process of churning Amrit (Holy Nectar) from the ocean, Vasuki, the snake was used to wrap around the Mandara Parvata, to churn the ocean. Vasuki was also known as Naga Vasuki. Eventually, when Amrit was found, Gods denied to share it with the Asuras(demons), since drinking the Amrit, made them immortal, which the Gods feared would make Asuras even more daring. Vasuki, a serpent, belong to the Asuras and hence was denied a share of the Amrit. Like all asuras Vasuki too was quite cross about being denied, despite being used as a tool to churn out the very Amrit, the pot of contention. Vasuki a smart being, assumed a impersonation of Dev (God) and drank the Amrit distributed, but Surya and Chandra discovered this and complained to Lord Vishnu who was overlooking the distribution of Amrit, sent his Sudharshana Chakra, and cut Vasuki into two, the Head and Tail, thus forming Rahu and Ketu. Rahu had consumed the Amrit, therefore remains immortal.Ketu didnt receive the Amrit, still exists to remind us of the dark side of life. Surya and Chandra thus, became, sworn enemies of Rahu and Ketu, which co-relate to the fact that they devour them during Solar or Lunar eclipse.
How does Kal Sarp Yog occur.
Kal Sarp Yog occurs on the horoscope, when Rahu is placed at 10Deg to Leo and Ketu 10Deg to Aquarius and the other 7 planets falling in between Rahu and Ketu. Plainly, if all the planets are in between the two planets of Rahu and Ketu, then Kal Sarp Yog occurs. Saturn is called 'Sanaischara' as it moves along the Zodiac leisurely and more slowly than other planets. He is the outermost planet amongst the planets recognised by Hindu Astrology. Saturn is smaller than Jupiter and his diameter is around 75,000 miles. Saturn takes 291/2 years to go round the Sun. Hence on an average Saturn remains in a sign for about 2 ½ years. Saturn is called 'Yama' as he is the chief governor for longevity. Saturn is said to be 'lame' and the son of The Sun. Saturn is sometimes symbolised as Father Time. According to Western belief in olden days Sater or Satan was the name given to Saturn and he signified devil, darkness, secrecy, loss and misfortune. His nature is cold, dry, phlegmatic, melancholic, earthy and masculine. When Saturn is well placed or well aspected, the person is grave, profound, prudent, cautious and of excellent organising and executive ability. Venus is much closer to the Sun than the Earth. The size of Venus is similar to that of the Earth. Venus has a diameter of 7,600 miles. Venus can never be more than 48 degrees away from the Sun. Venus is the brightest planet in the solar system. Mythologically, Venus is considered to be the Goddess of love, marriage, beauty and comforts. It is called Maha Lakshmi, wife of Lord Vishnu. Venus is also called one eyed. Creeks call Venus the Aphrodite. Venus is called Kama, for one's passion depends on its strength. Sun is the king of the solar kingdom. He is also called the 'Father of Stars'. Sun is about 93 million miles away from the Earth. He is the largest amongst the planets. His diameter is about 110 times that of Earth and Sun is nearly 27,19,000 miles in circumference.
Being the centre of all life force and energy and the giver of Prana, Sun is worshipped as Sun God. He is said to represent the creator, the Brahma, with his four faces to have a survey of all the four directions causing four seasons and the four elements namely Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Westerners call the Sun, Apollo. The Sun takes exactly one year to go round the ecliptic. It has only the direct motion. It is never goes retrograde. Mars is one of the outer planets. It is nearer to the Earth than any of the other outer planets like Jupiter, Saturn etc. Mars is smaller than Earth and its diameter is around 4,200 miles. Moon-the Mother and Mind.

Moon is the planet nearest to the Earth. It is the only planet in the solar system which revolves round the Earth. The Sun is the generator of power whereas Moon is conductor of power lent by the Sun. Moon shines only by the reflected light of the Sun. The distance between the Earth and Moon is approximately 2,38,000 miles. The Sun gives the spirit and life to all planets and Moon rules the lives of the beings on Earth. Sun represents individuality whereas Moon shows one's personality. Moon also represents mother if a person is born at night Moon is feminine. Hence the person under the rulership of Moon becomes timid, vacillating receptive and convertible. Moon governs the impregnation, conception, birth of child, the animal instinct the union and the embryo. It also rules the infant stage of a person and it has powerful influence on their lives.

Rahu and Ketu-the Shadowy Planets

Rahu and Ketu are called shadowy planets by our ancients. They are not substantial heavenly bodies with an observable body shape or mass like the Sun, Moon and other planets. Hindu mythology has in its characteristic way symbolised these two parts of a single body. According to a Puranic story after churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan) came out a divine elephant, a horse, a physician, the Goddess of wealth and Amrita or immortality. About the distribution of Amrita there was a serious dispute amongst the Devas and Asuras. The Supreme Lord (Lord Vishnu) assuming the shape of an alluring Mohini, took charge of distributing the Amrita with the consent of both Devas and Asuras. She so distributed the Amrita that all of it was consumed by Devas but one among the Asuras had stealthily joined the ranks of Devas and got a share of Amrit but was discovered and exposed by the Sun and the Moon. The Supreme Lord cut the Asura in two pieces but as he had taken Amrita both the severed parts remained alive though separated. The head got the name of 'Rahu' and the body and tail 'ketu'. This made Rahu and Ketu eternal enemies of the Sun and the Moon.

Periodically they succeed in swallowing the Sun and the Moon (This is during eclipses) but they escape as they are immortal. The fact that has since been universally accepted is that Rahu Ketu are celestial points on the Zodiac with regulated movement and orbit and they have a distinct and predictable influence in horoscopes. The motion of these points which is always retrograde, can be calculated as accurately as the position of the Sun or the Moon, through owing to their being without substance, this cannot be verified by visual observation.

Westerners have named Rahu and Ketu as Dragon's Head and Dragon's Tail respectively. Caput and Cauda are the other names given to them by Westerners. To understand how these imaginary points are accurately located and their movements are calculated we have to consider the apparent paths in the heavens of the two planets the Sun and the Moon, that is, the paths along which the Sun and the Moon appear to an observer on earth, to rotate. The Sun appears to move along an ellipse of which Earth is a focus. The plane of this ellipse is inclined to the terrestrial Equator at an angle of 23 degrees. The Moon, as the satellite of the Earth moves round it and its path is also elliptical with the Earth as a focus, and plane of this orbit is inclined to the Equator at an angle of 28 degrees, so that the planes of the orbits of the Sun and the Moon appear to the observer on Earth to be inclined to each other at an'angle of 5 degrees. The two points at which the orbit of the Moon cuts the orbit of the Sun are called nodes, and they are exactly 180 degrees apart. The point of intersection formed when the Moon's motion is from South to North, is said to be ascending node and named Rahu, and the point of intersection formed when the Moon's motion is from north to south is called the descending node or Ketu. It has been observed that the nodes have a retrograde movement in the Zodiac at the rate of 19 degrees 20 minutes per year. Rahu and Ketu are said to stay in a sign for about 18 months. Rahu and Ketu indicate one born in a low caste; one who may have intrigue with girls; is one whose thoughts and actions will be evil. One will resort to outcastes and low born as well as in bred people.

There is quite a controversy amongst the ancients about the signs owned by Rahu and ketu and signs in which they are exalted and debilitated. For example, according to Uttara Kalamrita an ancient classic on Hindu Predictive Astrology Rahu is exalted in Taurus and debilitated in Scorpio, vice versa of Ketu. What kind of foolishness is astrology? You read about Sun Signs in the paper and you can see almost every sign says something ambiguous or relevant in some general way. Surely no real science or serious people ever believed such foolishness. Yet all your heroes from the past were believers! Even Ronald Reagan and others of today order their lives according to astrological implications. I don't and never have, but that is because I have studied the field in great depth. It isn't just astrology that is at work or through which the forces interact with all life on the planet. The palm, the foot and the head or facial make-up can be read to see what effect may have determined some of how a person will approach life. The hand has all the astrological knowledge available 'right in the palm of your' as they say. The mount of the Moon and the girdle of Venus (should you be so lucky to have one) are there along with Saturnine and Mercurious deflected energy.

The concepts of quantum physical or astrophysical 'Dark Energy' and 'Dark Matter' that are now proven to comprise 95% of all energy in the known universe have a lot of application in knowing how the lines or other physiogamy-related affects occur. The alchemical gradual build-up of impacts and energy over long periods of time in incremental fluctuation and cyclical change are involved. The advent of human knowledge of these emotional and physical changes that include the female menses aligned with the moon and tides; probably began when we were the evolutionary kin of porpoises who come from the wolf-like creatures who bayed and howled at the moon or during eclipses, huddled in caves. Man is capable of understanding the universe and he certainly needs to understand his own personal attributions and emotional or spiritual aspects and influences. 3:33am?!
What is it with angels and digital clocks? I fell asleep just after 11pm and am still trying to recover from the switch to daylight savings time. I really don't need to be up and working right now, or do I? I had asked my angels earlier today to help me write some more articles. So, at 3:33am they wake me up whispering something or other and insisting I need to get up and work. Geez! Have a little heart guys! I have a two year old for pete's sake. Don't they know how tired I'm going to be trying to keep up with him tomorrow!? Nick Bunick spoke at my church years ago when his book The Messengers was such a big hit. One of the things he mentioned that really touched me was how the angels would come to him at 4:44 and how the numbers 444 showed up all of the time in reference to them. I know exactly what he's talking about. They seem to have a great love of repeat numbers. So, as I drink my coffee and wipe the sleep from my eyes I ask them, "Well, what do you want to talk about?"
Their response was to remind me of some of the stuff that I'm researching right now. Not a topic I want to discuss quite yet. That's why I'm researching it, so I can have something substantial to put behind my claims besides just 'hey this really weird thing happened to me.' They said it's not the topic that matters but the research material that I've found. My thoughts were, "What information?! All anyone else has channeled on the subject seems pretty vague and worthless. I haven't found anything to explain what happened!" Exactly their point. Huh? Tell them to clear the channels, be more specific, accountable.
When I first started communicating with guardian angels and spirit guides, I used to get really angry. They'd say the most bizarre things that meant nothing to me until after an event took place and then there would be this sudden ah-ha moment and I would finally understand what it was they had been trying to say to me. They were fond of using visual pictures and keyword phrases that remind me of a Google search. I would then have to decipher it all to figure out what the message was. I hate that. I'm a busy woman and I often have too much on my plate. Get to the point already!
One day, they told me to buy a particular book about how to talk to your angels. That might even be the title of it. It was better written then most. My angels made me give it away to someone who was scared and getting ready to go in for surgery. I wish I still had it sometimes, but apparently I don't really need it anymore. Anyway, in this book the author talked about how to develop a strong helpful relationship with your guardian angels. She gave tips on ways to communicate with them.
One of the best things I took away from that book was the idea that I could choose how we communicated. She said to tell them exactly how you want to converse. Do you want to do it through music? Visual signs? Do you want them to guide you through

humorous events? You decide. For me personally, I wanted to be hit upside the head with a brick. Don't use any of those vague riddles or anything. If you have something to say to me, say it straight up. You better have more than just a vague warm fuzzy mystery when you come knocking on my door. I hate having to guess at what they're saying. I am afraid I'm going to make it all up in my head. I want clear directions, clear information, clear warnings, and clear signs of confirmation when it's all done. I will repeat back to them what it is I think they're saying. Then, they are supposed to give me a big fat clear thumbs up that isn't some stupid coincidence.
The one area I have never been able to control is when they talk to me. I can ask questions and they will answer me, but not until they're darn well good and ready. It's like the topic I'm researching. They won't explain it right now, so I'm trying to find out if other New Age people have experienced it or if they have heard anything about it. I haven't seen anything anywhere. There's just this vague stuff around a similar topic. Bah! I hate vague.
Why are so many of the professional channels okay with the fact that they are not giving concrete information. Most of what I'm seeing channeled is just, 'yeah we love you, we're proud of you, you're going to be shifting into the umpteenth dimension soon...' They aren't angry gods threatening to hit us with lightening bolts! Ask for some clarity already! What exactly do these other dimensions look like and give me some scientific data to back it up. Maybe that's why I'm NOT the one being told to channel that stuff! I'd demand back-up proof before I'd be willing to go public with it. That's just me.
I'm not suppose to channel big newsworthy predictions. I'm supposed to let you know they're available to each of you on a one on one basis and that it's normal to feel crazy when you talk to them. I'm suppose to bring peace of mind to those of you who are hearing them calling you to do some sort of good deeds and to let you know that you are not alone. I'm supposed to explain them in a way that makes them less intimidating and more approachable. Honestly, they won't bite! Just talk to them openly and honestly as you would any other friend.
