Ex-Spouses Manipulating Children

There are things you should be aware of when it comes to children involved from past relationships. I have experienced this first hand, based on things that have happened, and would like to share with you some issues that should be resolved before they become crucial.

Beware Of:

Letting the ex have too much control.
Being careful not to be greedy with the child support.
How consequences can change a family.
Don't let your ex manipulate, or use your children.
Keep open communication with your ex about progress of the children.

Reasons:

     I allowed my ex to drop by when he wanted, take the children at the drop of a hat, and let them talk whenever they wanted, about whatever they wanted. This gave my ex the understanding he could do what he wanted, and used his control to manipulate the children right into his arms. Through the use of money, as well as giving them everything they wanted, and with very little physical background, actually ended up having custody of my children.

     This is why it is important to be careful about how much child support you fight to have while your children are growing up. In the process of what I went through, I discovered you only have to pay as much child support as the other parent did. I was forever grateful I let his low payments slide for all the years that I did.

     What you need to be aware of is how your ex could manipulate your child's life, and how your child could easily use them as an escape goat. It's important to be strict with your rules, no matter the threat of moving out. I was not, and kept giving more chances, and when I finally put my foot down, the daddy was to the rescue. Rather than letting them focus on what they did wrong, they got to move 1300 miles away by making my life horribly hard to deal with, and by tearing the family apart. Letting your child know there are no other options than your rules is a good step to help prevent this, but this could also be a situation in which you don't have a lot of control too.

     My ex used the golden moment of my daughter not wanting to be grounded to offer the better haven. Although my daughter doesn't know what she's in for, and neither does he, he happily skipped off with her today. You can rest assured, the future will prove to bring the truth to the surface, but if you allow their father the independence to privately put the thought in their heads, then they can ultimately use this thought when they don't want to deal with their own problems they created.

     It is unethical, by standards of law, for the father to ask these questions of living upon the children, but if you don't keep good tabs on what is happening, he can slip right out from underneath you, and will use this to his advantage. Don't allow the children to explain the bad, make sure you explain the bad so you may control the future stability of your family.

      I always mention little things I have experienced and how they were handled as examples in my readings. Then you know, things seem to get too easy, and things seem to be repeated. I needed something new to write about, and boy, did I get it.
     All of my life experiences seem to be creeping into my life once again so I can have some new stories to share, and yet it goes deeper than just this experience. The real lesson here is I am just as human as everybody else. While I have had the knowledge and understanding to help people, I have forgotten the feelings, as deeply rooted as they are, and how much they actually affect the human mind.
     My life has been going through huge transitions. Both being large and smaller in variety, as well as being good and bad. These experiences are helping me to grow and adapt more to what this new day and age seems to be adapting to.
     After thinking about it today, I realized I forgot what it was like to have to know the answer to the question 'why'. Now I remember again. lol With frustration, pain of feeling rejected, I can now remember how it's so important for me to know 'why?'
     Not to say it's all bad though, because on the other hand, I have to step back and see there is good in my life, and I am going through a huge growth cycle, and all of this is happening because it's something in my control. I can honestly now express sentiments about how things can get better through our own actions. It's not what you've already done, it's what to do next to make things right.
     I have been humbled and returned to a time where my life was my universe, and that's kind of hard to express or put into words. Other than to say while I've not lost my formal knowledge, I now remember more clearly how someone is hurting rather than trying to be hurtful. I have more of a ground now, because of my testing, to be able to understand why I am expressing the sentiments that I share with you.

Create An Effective Reading Environment so semantic noise does not interfere with our connection. Semantic noise is listening to people talking, children screaming or even fighting. Basically, semantic noise is bad for any type of reading session, and because I have a three year old who tends to scream loudly, I will either issue five free minutes to clear the noise factor, or you may elect to ignore the situation and go on with the reading. This is up to you.

Eliminate online distractions prior to our agreed upon, or out of the blue reading session. Make sure you shut off messenger services, e-mail programs, or anything else that may pop up and take your focus away from the message being relayed. If someone interrupts the situation, two bad consequences could result. Either the person receiving the reading will waste their money because they don't remember what was said and has to ask again, OR on the other hand, I as a reader, have a tendency to forget some thoughts produced by my mind and spirit if I am interrupted for too long of a time. Make sure if you want to spend your money having a session with me that you can give me your undivided attention once we begin.

If you have many questions, but forget once you are on the phone, you can try this suggestion: Keep a piece of paper handy with a pen or a pencil, and immediately upon thinking of something you are interested in looking at, write it down. Additionally, if you have a hard time remembering what the message indicates once you hang up the phone, it would be a good idea to take notes during our spiritual counseling session.

People give to others for a variety of reasons. One of those reasons has to do with they just want to give something to someone else, and don't expect anything in return, but on the other hand, some people give to others because they want something in return. Neither is a bad aspect when you really look at this, because it's good karma to give to others, and sharing with someone means you appreciate what they are doing for you in return. This is a good aspect to look at when it comes to receiving anything from another human being.

Giving to others is a natural gift we possess that helps to heal other people's lives. Being able to be generous helps us to move forward, as well as others move forward, in the easiest way imaginable. One thing people have to know though, especially through the course of talking to many, is we need to understand we are worth it to get something.

I have heard so many people in life say they were offered something, and they wouldn't take it because they didn't want to give the impression they were using someone. Well, that is a more simple way of saying you don't deserve something, and a very illusional way of looking at things.

In order to get the most positive out of receiving something, we have to be able to face what we are feeling inside. Don't have a hidden resentment kept deep inside of yourself that will hold you back. This resentment can come from any past event in life, and if we allow this resentment to be replaced by something someone else chooses to do to make us feel better, you will feel you are roads ahead on your journey.

There are happy solutions to every problem out there, and it's often found in the gift of being able to give. Which means we take care of our problems, not give it all up to others. Once we open ourselves up to taking care of our problems, we find the key towards our secret goal is right in our own hands.

If you have learned how to give to yourself, then giving to others should be an easier experience. If you help others find contentment, meaning and value in their lives, you are going to feel the same for yourself in return. This makes our lives more grounded, special and mellow, with the added touch of reaching our goals.

Giving is an act of love, and if you practice this in every day life, you will find your life opening up in all aspects, including love. Giving love is something that expands our souls for higher living, and it touches us in ways that could only mean happiness inside. We even stay younger as our emotions stay balanced in our journey through life, even if the numbers are changing. Being giving to ourselves and others is a beautiful experience.

It's crazy the way the mind thinks when we love someone that we know is going to die. You know, first we hope for miracles, and when those don't happen, we stand by the person we love, and just hope they hang on for one more day. Only sometimes that request is being selfish.

'Franko' is my husbands brother, and last night around 4:30 am, he finally took his last breath. I say finally, because like the many other times, I just prayed they would hang on, but last night I prayed God would take him. He had cancer that spread throughout his body, and he lived well beyond what doctors thought he would, and his greater fears were now becoming a part of the equation.

He didn't want to choke was his main fear in all of this, and everyone there that were able to be, helped him, at home, not to do just that. It was so hard for them. He could no longer swallow. He was in severe pain, and now, to ask for him to stay longer, was actually becoming more selfish than it was to care for him to not hurt any more, and the only way to do this was to pass on.

I woke up at 4 am for no reason at all this morning, and before I went to bed, I tried to pray to god, but I just couldn't feel my heart was with it when asking God to take him. Instead, I did my meditation ritual to provide him with peace inside, so he could feel it was okay to go. I also tried to mentally connect with him, as we are so far away, and I truly wish I could have been there to help, just as I was for my husband's mom.

I had a long conversation with my husband's sister last night, which my husband was floored it was not him, but like I told him, "When your mother died, me and your sister spent countless hours just talking together, helping one another through the pain of it. We tried to understand the medical professions, we discussed Jack Kavorkian, and numerous other things. This was just one of them conversations that she needed a woman, and one she had shared these kinds of talks with before. We may have our moments when our stubborn sides kick in, outside of these situations, but maybe you don't know this either; I'm the one who promised to be there for your sister. It's important for us to understand what we want."

I give his sister so much credit. When his mother died, we both stayed at the hospital for nearly a month straight. Morning, noon and night, and we refused to leave. I had to make some exceptions though, as her kids were grown up, and mine were not. She was there for her brother, even from 1500 miles away, and was there for a whole month once again, and it was getting hard on her. I could hear how drained she was, how sad, and how confused she really felt in her voice, and I was just so happy she reached out to me to be able to talk about it.

Well, anyway, I know most people aren't even reading this, and I guess, today, this was more of a journal entry for me, then it was a teaching lesson. If there is a teaching lesson, it would be to try not to wish someone to stay if it's for selfish reasons. I never found something harder than I did last night in praying for God to take someone, but I also know what Frank wanted too, as he voiced it many times when we were at his mother's side. And I guess, I have to figure out how to deal with the guilt of not being able to travel, to not only be by his side during this, but also because he has a funeral coming up now, and we don't even know how we'll get there. So I think the guilt isn't over with just yet. (He lives 1400 miles from our direction, but dang, if my husband's sister did it, I wish we could. Of course, her family is grown up and it's just her husband at home, and we have a family of seven. I guess when I figure out an explanation to how I feel, I'll share it.)

A Funny Story; ASS + U + ME

ASS + U + ME = ASSUME

Let me start by saying we grew up in the 'country', and these new people we met grew up in the 'city'. This makes for a very complex difference in cultures, and what we perceive of people from different cultures can really make ourselves look bad, because assuming gets us nowhere.

Because we are from the country, my husband is very big into the hunting and fishing scheme of things. He's a real outdoors man, through and through, and honestly, I don't know what he would do if he was not able to participate in these areas.

Our wall is proof of what he enjoys, as he has mounts plastered on just about every inch of every surface, and he uses these mounts to proudly display his accomplishments with his outdoors activities. This is fine, but these very mounts became a pure sense of laughter for me, at least as of this week.

Anyway, so we meet these city folk that moved to our neck of the woods as the father of the group came to us to ask if we could use some help with our large yard. Of course, we don't, but we invited him in to get to know him.

Now, my husband just naturally assumes that people from the city know absolutely NOTHING when it comes to the great outdoors. He's been adamant about this fact for some time now, so keep this in mind when I share this conversation with you.

The 'city slicker' looks up at the wall mounts while my husband is busy grabbing beverages from the kitchen, and he's looking in awe of what my husband has accomplished. His eyes, as I'm following them, are tracing from the various animals we have hanging there, and they stop on one of the fish that my husband caught. This is a fish to be proud of, as this fish is as big as me, and is just a freshwater Northern.

So he says to my husband that's in the kitchen, "Wow! Did you catch that?"

My husband, who doesn't know what he is looking at, naturally assumes he is talking about the deer, and replies, "Heck no! How could I 'catch' that'?" He starts chuckling for all to hear, and then adds, "No one can just CATCH one of those. I shot that with my 22!"

I smiled, because I knew that guy had to be wondering what kind of a person shoots a fish with a 22, and doesn't use traditional methods. This guys face turned from being happy in our home, to a look of complete confusion, in just a mere ten seconds. LOL

The guy's face finally just registered a mark of horror, and then he returned the comment with, "Oh....", a brief hesitation, and "I would have never guessed that!" Then he said he had to go, and stepped out the door. Meanwhile, I'm now sitting on my couch cracking up, and my husband is standing there scratching his head.

He looked at me and said, "What's so funny?"

I said to him, "Well, hon, you just told that guy you never met that you shot your fish with a 22, and now he's running around town probably telling people what a crazy bugger you really are. He's probably also wondering how you got that fish out of the water now, and if you just jumped in and grabbed it by it's back fin and drug it to shore. He's thinking you are a real nutbar that you would go to such extremes for your outdoors activities!" lol I kept on laughing, and a smile edged across my husband's face. I told him, "You know hon, despite what you 'assume', I'm sure that city slickers understand you have to shoot deer, and use a pole with fish, and that's really what he was asking you. He wanted to know if you caught that fish on a pole." lol

I'll never quit smiling when I think of the look that was on that guy's face, and maybe I was wrong for not clearing it all up, but I thought it was a funny lesson well learned. LOL Don't assume someone isn't as intelligent as you are, just because they come from somewhere else. Sure, you might have some additional knowledge to share, but that doesn't mean you are the only expert. **wink**

My husband's attempt at assuming things really did make an ass out of him, and to be honest, additionally made an ass out of the other man who believed him. LOL Let this be a lesson for all of us.

Channeled Message Regarding Loss In Relationships

Loss

People will incur loss for a variety of reasons when it comes to relationships. Loss is when something of value no longer exists, and it leaves someone feeling sad inside. They go through a mourning process, much like that in death, and often become afraid of the future. These feelings of loss can produce misunderstands in life, create illusional thoughts, and create set backs. When there is a loss in bonding, people often feel the ease of life is gone, or at the very least, that to get the person back, it would require a great effort, and one we are not sure we want to make.

We have to make sure we know the difference between love and lust. Sometimes people want something so badly they will satisfy themselves by reasoning about it, and in the process, they can turn this person they are in love with into an object, which takes away from the true gratification of it all.

During this time frame, you are likely to have someone tell you they would like to get together with you, and although you may want to delay, or second guess the person behind this, it's good to get acquainted. Understand that not all flirting is empty, some flirting can be seen as a serious signal to get to know you.

You don't have to settle for love immediately. Just make sure you are giving yourself delight during this trying time for yourself. Have fun...refresh your mind, and be playful, but appropriate during this phase. This is the one thing that could really bring the commitment about that you are looking for, and allow you to be able to take the next step with someone.

There is tenderness to be had out there for you, and if you open up your heart, you may find that sensitive person is right around the corner. Someone who will sweetly respond to you, and not only care, but take care of you too.

Be careful not to set too many rules during this phase. Remember, these rules you are setting could just be your own self setting up defenses to keep yourself from getting hurt, but these feelings can also make you feel dead inside. These rules can make people feel restricted, produce an atmosphere of feeling numb, and create a world that is not really real.

Happiness is a main key when loving someone. Both people need to give and receive, and it's something you are meant to discover at birth. Don't allow yourself to be naive, where you can't see how the heartbreak is being created. If you are unaware of what is going on around you, it could make it easier for you to be lied to, and therefore be preyed upon by someone who you have felt this loss with.

True love is around the corner. You will find that partner that is equal to you. Romance and love will bind you together, and keep desire strong. You just have to be willing to work through these challenges. That is when you will find your dream come true. That's when the very thought of wanting someone is going to come true. Love can make you feel successful, and make you want to dance, but to have love, you must seek stability first.
