As you can see from my previous post I firmly believe in admiting our mistakes. It helps us to walk thru life with our heads held high, teaches us to be less impulsive and most importantly to see our faults so that we can do our best to improve upon them.

Don't be afraid to say "I was wrong". Don't be afraid to look at your faults. Not one human being has been right all the time nor will they ever be. Not one human being is without faults. It's OK. That's what makes us a human family and the one thing we all have in common.

A lesson learned "One More Time"

I should know better than to assume anything and I’m sure I upset a lot of Keen advisors today. I posted Alexa ratings, which to the best of my knowledge are accurate. The highest-ranking site was not keen.com and I assumed was our competition since the phone number was not 1-800-ASK-KEEN. Well guess what, another advisor informed me Keen does indeed own the site. I did check it out and she was correct, we are listed on it.

Granted Keen.com has a low traffic rating, but assuming the other site was our competition certainly did prove that old saying. Assuming makes an ass out of you and me can be true.

Food For Thought ~ Today was the best day since yesterday.

Today was the best day since yesterday.

I opened my eyes this morning viewing the ceiling over my head. How fortunate I am to know there is a roof above that ceiling.

My feet hit the floor and I walk to the kitchen, put the coffee on, bread in the toaster and lift the shades to see the light of day. How fortunate I am to be mobile with food to put on my table.

I sit at that table watching nature thru the windows, the birds active, squirrels gathering their stash for the winter. How fortunate I am to be able to feed myself without assistance, soaking in the beauty of nature.

It's time to log into work, I stay logged in hour upon hour with know activity. Not a penny to be made today. How fortunate I am to have the ability to make the effort.

Yes Lord ~ today was the best day since yesterday and I thank you.

Sharing a sweet experience with a kid

Keeping in mind I'm 4' 11" @ 85lbs & 61yrs old ~ To funny. I'm walking a neighbors dog this morning, the wind is howling to beat the band. A kid (maybe 11 or 12yrs old) in the park asks me if I want him to stand on the leash so we don't blow away. I thank him & say no, I think we'll be OK. He replies, then I'm gonna follow you around if you don't mind. Don't want to feel guilty if I read in the paper "Senior citizen missing in action". I laughed so hard I near to wet my imaginary depends. Now that's a sweet kid! ROFL

People say the youth of today have no values, well this one did and warmed my heart.

Without dream you have nothing

To say you have a goal, a purpose, a vision is all fine well and good. But without a dream that makes your heart soar, you have nothing. It doesn’t matter what that dream is. It could be simple yet important like being able to keep a roof over your head, food on the table and staying current with your daily bills. In other words a simple, but comfortable life. Your dream could be to be a rocket scientist, it doesn’t matter what it is; if you don’t keep that dream in focus, you will never make it happen.

I’m a firm believer in dreaming big ~ opening myself up for the journey of a lifetime. However, I do understand that big doesn’t always mean big money. Sometimes big means being paid to learn or venture out of your comfort zone. There are times when big is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new project or company. Other times big simply means the chance to help a fellow human being achieve their dream.

I guess my point is as the song in South Pacific, “If you don’t have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?”

Allow yourself to dream one dream after another.

Joining the world of remote workers

Before you decide to join the world of remote workers, you truly should not only think about what you would be “getting yourself into”, it’s also important to examine yourself as a person, your needs and how far you are willing to go to have those needs met.

Are you self-motivated? Most people will automatically say, “yes!” as if admitting you are not self-motivated is some kind of horrible character flaw. While most people will say that are self-motivated, the truth is, many people are not. They need a boss, they need deadlines, they need quotas. Be honest with yourself and that can determine the type of online job you look for.

Can you sell? Many online jobs do require a certain amount of salesmanship, which is a specific skill that not everyone has. If you have marketing skills or are enthusiastic about a particular product, then an online job that requires selling could be a good fit. Not everyone is a “people person.”

Can you work from home? Not everyone can. Some people get too distracted by other things in their home to be able to fully concentrate on their job. Some people cannot take the isolation that working from home often entails. If you are a person who thrives when surrounded by people, working from home may not be the best option for you. Although stay-at-home moms and dads often think life would be easier if they worked from home, it can be incredibly stressful to keep a child happy while you work.

Do you need a job without distraction? Many online jobs require a lot of phone work. If you have a house filled with noisy children, that kind of job may not be for you. Home-based telemarketers and call center representatives cannot have any background noise while working.

How much money do you need to make? While there are many well-paying online jobs, be careful what you agree to do. Some jobs, such as those that pay per unit, pay an extremely low hourly wage. Don’t caught up in any job offers that seem to include an outrageous salary for menial labor. Chances are they are either not legitimate or the wages they claim you can make are nearly impossible to achieve.

Do you have the intestinal fortitude to start your own business? If you have your own online business, you are responsible for everything, including the amount of money you make and the time you spend on your business. To run any successful business requires time and creativity. Multi-level marketing programs, for example, can only be successful if the MLM owner is willing to dedicate time and effort. Like a brick and mortar business, online businesses can only be successful when run properly

One Small Request

I post in honor of my mom who passed into the arms of the angels due to cancer Jan. 8, 2008.

Mother was most happy and content when she was rocking a baby. She could never get enough of it and I am sure it won’t be Heaven unless they placed a baby in her arms at the gate. She was loved and will be missed by so many.

This was sent to me and touched my heart.

I was asked to keep it circulating and since I don’t have many people to send it to, I thought I would share it here with you.

Please give the link or email it to someone else. Even if it’s to just one more person.

Do this in memory of anyone you know that has been struck down by cancer or is still living with it. Do this in honor of those we don’t know, but need our prayers.

Food For Thought ~ Apples or Peaches?

This entry goes out to those who have called more than three readers regarding the same situation and all said pretty much the same thing.

Before I go on, there are times when I see what I call a double image. Usually it means one of two things for me, but sometimes it means a 3rd that being, the person has consulted many others on the same subjected they are asking me about. In addition, I am about to repeat what this person has heard at least 3 times already.

For the sake of argument I will use the question “Will I have apples or peaches on my magic fruit tree this year?” Every reader has said apples, but you were planning on peaches to sell at the fair. Everything depends on peaches because you put all your peaches in one basket as we say. It's good to get more than one opinion, but after three I have to wonder. What more do you want 7 out of 10?

Now you can continue to call readers until you hear what you want to hear. There goes the extra money you will get for the peaches at the fair. Or you can stop wasting your time and money and make an alternate plan for the apples like a good girl/boy scout so you will “Be Prepared”.

I’m not saying lose hope; who knows that magic fruit tree could still produce peaches, but for goodness sakes if you believe in psychic abilities, the tarot or whatever type of readers you have been calling, accept their guidance, filter it then decide what you’re going to do. And if you don't believe then stop wasting your money. One way to lose a profit is to spend it before it’s in your hand. You want peaches, but the price you pay just to hear the words could be much to high. Make sense?

99% Accurate true or false?

I have been waiting a long time to address what I believe to be one of the most ridiculous claims advertised on Keen and my biggest pet peeve.

Tell me those of you who claim 99% accuracy in your readings, how do you know you’re 99% accurate? Do you follow your customers around observing their lives? Do you stay in contact with each and every person you have ever read for? Better yet, are you so clairvoyant you can just tune in and check on everyone you have read for in the past?

And if you truly are 99% accurate, perhaps you can teach the best of the best like John Edwards or Sylvia Browne a few things. They don’t even claim a level of accuracy and they have proven themselves to literally millions of people time and time again, yet they would never be so bold as to make the claims you do.

Every time I see this claim it makes me wonder who the person is trying to convince, themselves or the public. All I can say to those who use this misguided advertising technique is Prove It. Don’t just give me lip service; show me the documentation that justifies/supports your claim. I’m 99% sure you can’t produce such documentation, however if you do I will be happy to eat crow at your table.

The Love Triangle ~ It Doesn’t Take A Psychic To See.

I can’t tell you how many times I have had this conversation over the years. You find yourself in love with a person who is in a committed relationship with someone else. It doesn’t matter how or why it happened, what does matter is how you’re using the short life span you have been blessed with. The person controlling the triangle is getting what they want, but what about you?

They want you, they have you. They see you when it’s convenient, depend on you to be there when they just need a caring ear to listen and usually they hide you. God forbid the person they are committed to finds out about you, it would ruin everything.

Statistically once a love triangle begins if the person controlling the triangle doesn’t walk away from their committed relationship within 6 months time they won’t walk away at all. They want to stay in their relationship for whatever reason no matter what they tell you.

I can hear the wheels spinning, “but Amore, I know he/she loves me, they just can’t end their relationship right now.” BUNK, they can do what ever they decide to do. They have made the choice not to end the relationship because they are getting something out of it. Something they want, be it relief of guilt, to keep their material belongings, the kids are always a good excuse or they simply want the best of both worlds, it truly doesn’t matter. The bottom line is, the reality of the situation is – this person is doing what is in their best interest not what’s in the best interest of their relationship with you. You are not included in their life, you are being fit into their life and there is a huge difference. You deserve better!

I’m not saying the person doesn’t love you; they probably do, but it certainly can’t be the way you want or need to be loved. I’m reasonably sure your dream isn’t to be “the other woman/man”.

Food For Thought ~ April Fools Day 2007

Don't you hate it when all night long you were dreaming about the left over pizza you're going to have for breakfast, only to find when you awake in the morning your roommate ate it while you slept. Problem is, you don't have a roommate.

Now common sense tells me I went to bed hungry and while sleepwalking got up and ate the pizza then went back to bed. But, was there any left over pizza to begin with? Did I just dream it up? And what would make me think my roommate ate it (remember I was awake when I got that thought), when I don’t have a roommate.

Ahhhh the complexities of life LOL, don’t ya just love it!
