Forecast and Faery Finder
By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Coral and the incense is Cypress.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Nine of Pentacles: acquisition. Do not be lazy today. Keep moving. Success can be yours. The force is moving things in a positive direction.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.
Astrologically:
Ego energies in the afternoon can lead to some heated arguments with elders and authorities. The evening will be a social and happy time and you get a reward for recent efforts.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say:
Be Happy. Don’t Worry. Kick up your heels.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :
A Cat Always Lands on Its Feet (but not in my house): “Be ready for anything. Everything will work out.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth
Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:
Gloominous Doom is about today. His glass is not only half empty but has sprung a leak in the bottom. He loves a pity party. He is even willing to cater one. So, if you don’t put the negative thoughts to bed fast today, I guarantee, your mood will get worse.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 1 and the Element is Earth. The Boar finds conflict today but the rabbit (me) has ease. However, today is not an auspicious day for haircuts, medical procedures, writing, gambling, construction or births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “The plan of my life is now unfolding step by step, according to the will of my Higher Self. I acknowledge each one of its stages with serenity, detachment and joy, knowing that am always lovingly and wisely guide on my path toward the full realization of my true potential.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

Officially, Boogaboo has become the cutest sweety in the house. I have to enjoy him before he grows up because he is going to be one big bruiser. For now he is just one sweety on my lap, purring.
It’s been a busy day and I haven’t had much time for anything but the good news is I am feeling much better. The nausea is over and the headache is barely there.
How does your day go? Do you come home frazzled and grouchy? One of the magical tricks is to immediately take a shower to wash all the negativity and stress off of you. Imagine it going down the drain. Most of us shower between workings and it can lead to some very dry skin. My recommendations is Neutrogena bath oil. It even works on your face. Apply before washing so it rinses off. It is a good alternative to those pricey creams and it works.
Update on last night: My friend is back at work, even with a couple of broken ribs from that low life scum bucket that pushed him down. I hope they add elder abuse to the charges when they catch the slime mold so he spends time in jail. Now I wonder, could this new assault on businesses in the area have anything at all to do with the Pain Clinic, or pill mill as we call them, that opened about 7 blocks down the road in the next county. You see, my county is about to legislate them out of business with a couple of rules. One of them is they can’t sell pills in the office. The person will have to go to a legit pharmacy to get their fix and the other is, they won’t be able to be a cash only business. They will have to take insurance. Not taking insurance is how they weed the legitimate clients out from the profitable addicts. I do feel from the poor psychic that established her business in the strip mall only to have the Pain Clinic move in a couple of doors down. That is rough. Geez, I thought the Cumberland Farms parking was an accident waiting to happen before. I wonder how long before one of these sterling citizens runs over a gas pump and blows the whole shopping center up. That is not a rhetorical question. Just check the fatal accident rates within a mile of the “pain clinics” in Broward for an answer. I’m going to suggest George take a different route home.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

News from the Goddess I feel awful front: We are all still sick down here. I really think it is from exposure to people who got the vaccines. So far I am keeping two bites of Biscotti down. Wish me luck.
The cats on the other hand think a sick human is the purpose one to hit up for a can of cat food. After all, won’t we pay to be left alone? What they don’t realize is if I opened a can of fish flavored cat food by accident right, it would be all over…all over them.
Rusty J. Hoover, our genius cat, decided he would not share the cat feeder with another cat or wait his turn. This dry feeder is designed for a GERMAN SHEPARD! I’ve never tested it, but I am pretty sure a half dozen cats could eat out of it comfortably. So, another cat is having a snack and he walks over and tips the whole thing over. It wasn’t as big a mess as I thought as it left a nice sized hill of kitty kibble right in front of him, which he settled into like a furry vacuum cleaner. Obviously, this was not the first time he has done this. He knew just how to tip it. I scooped up most of the hill of food and I am on his naughty list.
That reminds me of the Tshirt I saw last night: “Dear Santa, I can explain….”
I can’t believe some low life thief, knocked one of the elderly greeters I know at BJ’s to the ground, broke his ribs and made off two computers. Guess what sucker? You just made a witch really angry and I guarantee you will be not enjoying life for a really, really long time. George brought me a bread man home and guess which part I will be giving special attention to….yes sharp little raccoon teeth love bread. Your face is on it. And if I’m still pissed, your family goes down with you so you had better hope those little furry creatures put me in a better mood. Why am I so mad? Every day of my recovery for this operation, George has taken me over there to walk and every day, these gentlemen have asked how I am and helped me in any way they could always with a smile. Anyone want to join me in leveling this curse? After all, a good curse is the gift that just keeps on giving. The video will show up on the wsvn website some time tonight if you want a look at this low life. Just imagine a little bread man with a really sharp butcher knife in a really personal place and then a really big raccoon chewing it up and swallowing it. The raccoon was busy, but the possum has more teeth, anyway.
I have no idea what today's New Moon challenge was...I got too upset when I saw this on the news. Pox on him.

Forecast and Faery Finder
By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is yellow and the incense is marjoram. If you have a copy of this book, there is a recipe for psychic tea in it today.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Six of Swords: ascendancy. Think outside of the box. New challenges require more intellectual activity. Think.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.
Astrologically:
The afternoon brings more good financial news and the opportunity to use past knowledge, not necessarily gained the easy way, to your advantage. Being playful in the evening may be taken the wrong way and result in tears. The late evening is both romantic and psychic. It is good evening for a reading.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say:
Break free of the past. Fly and grow!

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :
Angel Cat: “Know that you are loved and protected.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth
Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:
Epona’s Wild Daughter, Dorcha, is about and she isn’t the most pleasant of Fae. This also isn’t her first trip here this month. She has been showing up in the middle of the Singers and she sort gave me a message to give you: “Learn the lesson, will you! I’m getting tired of creating these nightmares.” Best do as she says before she moves on to depression and madness. It’s time to grow up! Everyone has too much on their plates to play silly games.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 3 and the Element is Fire. The Rooster (George) finds conflict today and the Rat finds ease. Today is not an auspicious day for haircuts, writing, gambling, construction or births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I know that peace on earth begins with my own inner peace. I release all negative thoughts I might have about myself and others. I rediscover the purity, the simplicity and the power of the Divine Child within me.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

I am running late tonight. I was sneezing so bad last night I thought maybe Napoleon had the pepper shaker in here. I could not stop sneezing. I awoke with a headache that wasn’t a migraine but a you are squeezing my head and my eyeballs are popping out headache. Then the nausea hit. At first I though I had eaten something bad. Then I noted on Facebook that it was going on around Broward County. So I have the local bug. I am really working on the affirmation that this beverage contains healing energy, not that I have been able to drink much more than water.
I did celebrate with a ginger mini muffin. Believe me, these are mini muffins. Any smaller and could put one in teaspoon. What am I celebrating? Today I scheduled the last payment on another credit card! Yes, one more down and sights set on the next one. Target, you are gone in January! Chase, you are gone in December!
Have you seen the new guidelines for mammograms? The risks cited include the anxiety caused by scheduling the mammogram and the false positives. Under those risks, you could also place paying bills, but I doubt if anyone is going to let me not pay for a month to preserve my health!
Since you’ve been working so hard on your new moon challenges, take tomorrow off and enjoy one thing you haven’t had for while! Reward yourself!
My cards are nicely charged. My LED candles are all ready and life is good. I really love those candles. So far the cats have knocked all four candles over at least twice. Think what would have happened if they had been real candles?
I know you all get these emails that start out, “God wants you to know…” A friend who found her in box full of them said she was relatively certain if God wanted her to know something, he wouldn’t be sending her an email. Hard to argue with that logic.

Message from the Microwits:
I am Boogaboo! Fear Me! All steaks fear me! I rule!

Message from the Mamma:
I swear that kitten is a bottomless steak black hole. Even Purdy was looking at him like; he can’t possibly hold another piece! I think he ate more than I did! When he grows up, hide the beef!!! Hide the whole cows!

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is white and the incense is

Ginger.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Five of Swords: destruction. Okay folks, it is hard to put a positive spin on this card. Promises made have been broken. The excuse is: “I took on too much!” The answer is to learn how to say “no”. But as I said, there is no positive spin. If you have lost the trust of others, no matter what the excuse, it will take a really long time to regain it, if ever. Trust is a beautiful and fragile thing. Without it, there can be no love.

Astrologically:

The Moon enters Sagittarius at Twelve Twenty Two PM EST. What a time for the cat to have taken the number two key off my computer keyboard!

For a couple days, news about limitations, restrictions and new rules arrive. It is couched in very pretty words but the message is simple: No!

This is fairly aspectless day until late night when energy hits a high and you will have trouble sleeping.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies

The Faeries say:

Today is an excellent day to employ visualization.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is:

Cool Cat: “Pride comes before a fall…humility is needed today.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

The Singer of Transfiguration arrives. This singer indicates we have passed the test, the door has opened and we have passed through it. Now we have to make the inner and outer transformation and it is a do it yourself project.

Folks, we have been getting a huge number of singers for a week or more. Singers are Fae of pure energy. They are that which causes major changes in reality. When they arrive in this quantity, major stuff is going down. Last week, the Pacific rim, the ring of fire, began acting up. Checking the USA geological maps showing earthquakes of a 1.0 magnitude or more, you could clearly see the ring outlined. The middle of the circle is Hawaii and it even it had a quake. Stuff is happening! Because of all the Astrological positions in Scorpio, we may not find everything out for a while.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 4 and the Element is Fire. The Monkey finds conflict today but the Horse find ease. Today is NOT an auspicious day for haircuts, writing, medical procedures, gambling, construction or births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I let got of all criticism. I open my heart to tolerance, sympathy, patience, humility and tenderness.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Everyone loved the Blessing Day. Now I have another challenge for you. Today, I want you to charge everything you drink. Hold the glass, bottle, whatever, in both hands before you take the first drink and say, “As this fluid enters my body, so does healing energy.” or “As this fluid enters my body, weight leaves my body.” You get the idea. Change it as you need to for your situation. “As this fluid enters my body, money is attracted to me.” Don’t use abundance unless you want to gain weight! You only need do it once for each beverage.

It seems a lot of practitioners are using LED candles for spell work and they are working out just fine. There is the heat, soot and safety factors with real candles and I have to admit, every winter, between them and space heaters, a lot of people lose their lives. The newer type with the flame shaped bulb definitely do look like real candles in the dark. I have even heard of at least one church using them. Instead of depositing your dollar or so for a votive, you deposit your money and get a battery for the LED votive. I bet that really cuts the heat in the summer! I will still continue to use the mini candles for quick spells, but the longer burning ones are on their way out.

Cat, thy name is disaster. It was late last night and I was tired. After failing to do so most of the evening, I finally spilled the chicken broth. It was not a large amount, but it was just what Rusty J. Hoover was awaiting, had been awaiting all day. He flew into the kitchen. The kitchen floor is slippery. The kitchen floor has been slippery his entire life. However, just like Lotto players think tonight they will win, so did he and just like Lotto players, tonight the floor was slippery. He went nose down with front legs spayed out, ass in the air sliding into the little puddle of chicken broth and smearing it across the floor into a humongous mess. I could just see playing across his gold eyes as that single neuron he calls a brain fired, “I can always lick it off my belly.”

Goddess, you only deposit the defective cats on my doorstep, I am sure of it.

I have all my new tarot supplies resting on the dashboard of the Vanwitch soaking in the New Moon energies. I am certain if I actually left them outside, the raccoons, possums and armadillo would be telling fortunes tonight if not eating them. So, I had to find an enclosed, inaccessible spot in the lunar energies for them. So far the raccoons have not succeeded in picking the locks on the van. The overhang on my house is so huge, not even sunlight makes it in the windows, which in Florida is a really good thing. You can bleach furniture and rugs out in less than a year down here. The Vanwitch has a huge dashboard and as embarrassing as this is, I had to hang the altar cloth over the steering wheel. I ran out of room: two decks, bags, silk readings’ cloth, boxes and it seems it takes more and more stuff to set up my readings’ table as I get more and more protective of my Tarot cards. Oops..forgot the incense. I’m going to need a really big bag to bring it all back inside tomorrow.

Now folks, I know I give you advice, spells, philosophy and do readings, but I want you to do something for me. I want you to verify I am who I say I am before you take any of that to heart. Go ahead and search my name: Janice Scott Reeder. There is a dash between the Scott and Reeder but once again, the cat took the key off the keyboard. I don’t even know all the references you are going to find, but you can easily find them. They should go back almost to the beginning of the internet. Past that, you can search newspaper archives in South Florida and go back 38 years when I began my professional career. Before that, I actually worked for the newspapers in accounting. I want you to know who I am and what I am and before you trust anyone else on the internet, do the same thing.

We, and I mean everyone in South Florida running a business, not necessarily in the Psychic field, have to do this for the simple reason that with a barely good scanner, a color printer and a laminator, you can become anyone. Trust me, I was taken for twenty three thousand dollars by a licensed roofing firm that was using someone else’s building license to get an occupational license which they parlayed into national referral data bases and this individual, Robert Humphries, has scammed people from NJ, NY and all the way from the middle of Florida to Key West. He is still operating. Not that the person whose license he used isn’t in on the con.

People are just now beginning to question the credentials of these self help gurus running retreats. The problem with the internet is that a company or person can bury a search engine in results and glowing testimonials and it may be 10 pages or more before you get to the complaints. It is easy to do. Sometimes I just start 10 pages in on results. Please be careful out there.

Any con artist will tell you that their philosophy is that if you are stupid enough to fall for it, you deserve what happens to you. (JD Robb very nicely shows you the psychology of a con artist in her new book: “Kindred in Death”). A lot of them are psychopaths who really don’t care and others use that twisted logic to sleep at night. You definitely want to read “Grave Secret” by Charlaine Harris and no, it is not a vampire novel. It is about a young woman hit by lightning who can find corpses and what killed them. Both of these books show some twisted family dynamics.

If you don’t think these things happen, consider the young man set on fire by his “friends” down here over 40.00. Their parents come off petty, career criminals and now their children have joined them in the ranks of crime, but not as petty criminals. Oh, social services can’t take the remaining young kids away before they do a number on them, too. Then last night, to really turn your stomach, the police arrested the mother of a beautiful young missing girl for selling and trafficking in a young child for the sex trade. They still have not found that little girl but they have surveillance photos of a man carrying her into a hotel elevator. Please be careful for your children. This is not uncommon in other parts of the world. Now it has moved to our shores. Just please be careful!

Children learn by example. If you are sitting around bragging about who you screwed this week, what you got away with, who you hurt, how many lies you told and what you stole, just remember; those kids you are teaching will be picking out your nursing home. J As I’ve said before, Karma’s a bitch and then she has puppies.

Forecast and Faery Finder for 11/16/09 and the Holidays

11-16-09

Forecast and Faery Finder

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is silver and the incense is lily.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the King of Wands: restriction. This card brings someone into your life that is willing to defend you, so don’t abuse this.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

The New Moon is at Two:14 PM EST at TwentyFour degrees Scorpio and 34 minutes. This is a new moon to ruthlessly cut old ties that are not helping you any more. Work on research projects. Redo your wardrobe and get a new hairstyle. It is time to evaluate, assess and start again if you have to.

Old pains and hurts surface this morning but if you consult the oracles or psychics, you have a good chance of finding out what the real lesson is and fixing it. There are a few blow ups as people do not understand what you saying. Stay calm and repeat yourself.

For a couple of days there is good news about some decorating, beautifying or artistic projects you have not been able to get the go ahead for. Legal matters are resolved fairly.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

This is ay to practice kindness.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Cat Call: “Don’t be so critical. See the positive in yourself and others.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

Myk the Myomancer is out looking for field to make his monthly predictions. Pay attention to the small things. They mark trends better than the obvious.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 5 and the Element is Wood. The Sheep finds conflict today but the Ox and Tiger have ease. Today is an auspicious day for writing, gambling and births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I let go of all criticism. I open my heart to tolerance, sympathy, patience, humility and tenderness.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Today we move into a nice new, New Moon. This is a time of beginnings. Am I the only one who has noticed how really, really dark it is outside? This New Moon is really going to be NEW! Plan on starting something tomorrow in whatever area you feel your life need a pick me up. Do something for your business or work. Clean house. Cook a healthy meal. Give the universe a starting point to bring you new things this month.

And with that, we move into the holiday season. A lot of people go through depression during the holidays. This mainly occurs because all we see are happy people on TV, families getting together and big dinners. Instead of looking at the make believe world of TV, look around. Thanksgiving Dinner, done right takes almost twelve hours. Who has that kind of time? If I don’t order from Boston Market, I buy microwaveable stuff at BJ’s and Costco. No way am I cooking a turkey. I mean first I would have to clean out the pots and pans storage area; I mean oven. As to stuffing, I have no idea how mother succeeded in NOT poisoning us. Stove top works great. Yams? I hate the things. If I am feeling froggy I might makes some honeyed carrots but don’t anyone get their hopes up. That can of cranberry sauce convinced me years ago I had no need to commune with the real, fresh thing. George and my families are all dead. Friends have their own thing, which mostly involves a restaurant…I may join them. That way I don’t even have any clean up. So what part of that TV fantasy has any reality? It never had any reality so stop watching, plan something you like to do and get out of the dumps. One artificial day is not worth two months of agonizing. Trust me. I’ve been doing readings for 38 years professionally. There are very few people who actually like their families and want to spend a day with them. Most everyone sees it as a jail sentence with really nasty people as company and bad food. I guess the old adage: “Familiarity breeds contempt” is right. You know those people too well. Go have a good time with strangers. As to that next holiday, however you may celebrate it, don’t buy into that fantasy. Tell me honestly, how many holiday gifts have you ever gotten that were actually anything you wanted or could use, unless of course, I was doing the buying and I AM PSYCHIC!? So why are you breaking your neck and bank account having a nervous breakdown in lines that are miles long, circling parking lots forever, only to have your wallet lifted in the mall? Everyone knows I don’t get near malls in the off season. Too many people create too much psychic energy and information resulting in fried neural endings if you are psychic. Psychics do not like large crowds. Normally I vow to not step into a large department store after the day before Thanksgiving until the 5th of January and I do a pretty darned good job of it. George knows, I start yelling “empty the van, I am not coming back to Costco for weeks! Get everything we need.” Geez, why do you think my one extravagant purchase many years ago was an upright freezer? So, why are you putting yourself through it? Take the holidays off. Order on line. Heck, I even gave up on gift wrapping when I had someone to give gifts to. That bag from Target works for me. They are all going to holiday bags. Why not use them? No, I didn’t say, “Bah, humbug.” I said: Get Real! This is not worth your sanity. You have better things to do. If you really need people around, volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen. Those people really will be glad to see. Go to the animal shelter and volunteer. There is nothing like a bunch of wagging tails and purrs to lift the corners of your mouth. Now, someone please tell Napoleon I am not cooking a turkey, there will be no huge bones, back, wings and tail, because I don’t have the guts.

What am I doing for the New Moon? Well, George found some finely milled French soaps I was saving for a special occasion. One thing the past four months have taught me is; there may not be another special occasion for you. So, I even put one out at the kitchen sink. I have the nicest smelling hands in town. I went to the shop to pack an order for tomorrow’s mail drop and treated myself to a new Tarot deck since I can’t find my old one in a bright, neon pink messenger bag. NAPOLEON! I treated myself to two! I shall be readying them for duty tomorrow. I am looking forward to having my outside altar up and running even if my circle of thirteen are wearing little masks and demanding offerings. I bet they would love crescent cakes but they aren’t getting any. Well, maybe the really old one will talk me out of something. When they get that old, they don’t compete that well for food. I have one event set up to work and maybe I will chance a second one. As soon as the decks are ready, I shall be back on Keen doing readings and will get the email readings up there, too. I have a busy week planned for myself, all under the influence of the New Moon.

Thought for the day: An old friend who has been in metaphysics longer than some of you have been alive once told someone: “I always try to see the positive in relationship.” The rat got a big smile on her face until she heard the other half of the sentence. “And I am positive I want nothing to do with you.”

Forecast and Faery Finder for 11/15/09

11-15-09
Forecast and Faery Finder
A Blessing Day
By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Gold and the incense is Heliotrope.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Lovers: discrimination. Only by embracing both halves of your self can you find success.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.
Astrologically:
Mercury enters Sagittarius at 7:28 PM EST.
We are entering a long period, like a year, when frivolous or beautification projects will not get the go ahead. Only practicality gets the money.
This week, search out answers using the rational and practical means at your fingertips. Don’t guess.
The morning starts out social and easy and so you wonder what went wrong by the end of the day. Well, a square to Mars will do that to you. Ego energies start running high and arguments ensue. Be careful, you are showing more than you think and your Karma could be rather instant.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say:
It is hard to feel safe today.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :
Cat Suit: “Be Daring. Be wild. Be bold.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth
Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:
Epona’s Wild Daughter leaves little horsy footprints after she spills the white sugar. Her name is Dorcha and nightmares are her game. She brings our inner shadows to light, depresses us and can bring us to the brink of madness where we either grow or sink further into insanity. She is the Sphinx and we must answer her riddles or face her wrath. She forces us to face what we have buried, confront it and move on or sink into a really stinky swamp of self denial and defeat.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 6 and the Element is Wood. The Horse finds conflict today but the Rooster (George) has ease. Today is an auspicious day for haircuts, medical procedures, writing and gambling but not for births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I acknowledge the wonderful qualitative I have within me. I open up to the beauty and creativity of my Soul and I accomplish great things easily and successfully.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Many of you have never heard of a Blessing Day. It is a very old tradition in which for one day, everything you handle, you bless and thank. Now you may be wondering why on earth you would do that. Hey, isn’t finding one thing you are thankful for each day enough of a challenge? The answer is no. In the latter, you get to pick, in the former, it picks you. I started the day blessing and thanking my pencil. Oddly enough, I still have it and the cats have normally stolen at least three by now. Not only that, but I use it at the computer to take notes as I run searches and play games. My searches have gone really well today. My games have gone just as well. Just give it try. You will surprised at the results when you acknowledge all the things in a day that help you and make your day better.
Magickally, do you think LED candles can be as effective as regular wax ones in a spell? I am trying the LED ones because they are safer. I could always leave them running until the battery runs down for the normal 7 day spells. Yes, the wax and wick are expending energy but so is the battery. Both emit light and photons are photons. You can even get them now with a wax coated outside and scent. I just got 3 red cinnamon scented ones at a price I would pay for 3 red real candles of that size. Now if I can just find some green ones, the money spells are covered.
Evergreen is an excellent clearing and protecting scent. This is the only time of year you can get evergreen scented candles, so stock up folks. I just got a glass Mystic Harbor one at BJ’s and it is GOOD! A little more money and I stock up.
I have to say, my mind has cleared and I am feeling very optimistic. Yes, my body has to get up to speed here, but two anesthesias, two surgeries and growing new tissue will do that to you. I am certain I am going to make my deadline of January 1st for being back to normal. The cats are ready because Mommy promised them an enclosed porch next year on which to lounge and they promised to leave the furniture alone.
There are a lot of people out there on the internet who aren’t who or what they say they are. I have a message for them. Be very careful who you befriend. A lot of us have really good skills at searching people on the internet. In fact, the chief fraud Secret Service agent said I was the best civilian at researching people and companies he had ever seen and finding links between them. I have friends that are just as good and have access to data bases I don’t. Just because I am a Druid don’t ever think that makes me a dumb, country bumpkin that communes with the butterflies, talks to fairies and can’t use a computer. In fact, I can do all three really well. I am working on combining all three. They call us Cybermages…..we use electronics to do spells and some of us have been at it since the first PC’s hit the market over 35 years ago. We have moved radionics into the computer age.
Purdy has just crawled in my arms and I must stop typing and pet her. Here I sit, at my laptop, in lotus position and a cat oozes in my lap, on her back, and nuzzles me. You know I had stop and pet her. There is just no choice. I have discovered that I thought I bought a laptop portable desk but what I really bought was a portable cat cave. Geez, is there no truth in labeling any more?
I finished Kindred in Death by Nora Roberts and it is really, really good. I think it is one of the best in the entire series. I am reading Grave Secret by Charlaine Harris of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I’ll get back to you in it as I don’t know where it is going yet. I have vowed not to use my abilities to divine the plot twists like I did with Kindred in Death. It takes the mystery out of it, but when I come to care about the characters, it tends to happen.
Oh, just one other warning.: when you pretend to something you aren’t, keep in mind the old gods and the nature spirits aren’t your modern washed out gods. They tend to seek immediate justice and it isn’t pretty. Karma can be instant.

Forecast and faery Finder for 11/14/09

11-14-09

Forecast and Faery Finder: Astrology Works

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is black and the incense is rue.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Knight or Swords: penetration. Paranoia and manipulation are the hallmarks of this card. Be careful out there.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

The Moon enters Scorpio at 5 twenty 4 PM EST. Let the games begin.

We have a week long aspect that is going to bring emotional dirty laundry out into the light, bleach it and put it away. It may not be pleasant but it is long overdue.

This is a very psychic morning. Consult your oracles for information. Change comes this evening as the phoenix rises from the ashes.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

It is time to raise your standards.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Cat’s Twenty Two: “Feeling trapped? Think laterally and the answers will come.” What the cats didn’t tell you is they will probably blindside you.

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

Ffaff the Ffooter is about so get those feet in shape. Ffaff believes you should not defile the earth by putting dirty, dingy feet on her. So, he inspects your feet. He can fly. You can’t and he has been known to lift both your feet at one time for inspection and wonder why you are screaming on your backside. Gravity always wins. He also is not big on hang washing, so you if your grungy feet attract his eye, he can easily spread a nasty fungus to you. The moral is, if you are going to make a stand on something, make certain it is clean.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 1 and the Element is Water. The Snake finds conflict but the Rabbit (me) has ease. I wonder if that also applies to Snakes in the Grass??? Today is an auspicious day for writing and gambling but not for haircuts and construction.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “”I let go of any concern about the future or regret about the past. I live every moment in the here and now. My mind opens up to a wonderful flow of creativity and every second of my life becomes news and exciting. This way I find joy, peace and freedom.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

In answer to the title, I never knew how well the general aspects I report work. Aspects to Ceres changed a while back and I said…people are now going to reap their rewards and they may not like them. Wow…am I good or what?. Then at the end of last week another big aspect set to Ceres came into play and most of the planets were in Scorpio. Scorpio loves to ferret out secrets and publish them on the front page. Well, this week folks, there are so many people in my sphere caught with their pants down on the front page it is a mooning contest. Three years worth of crap just hit the fan and Goddess, do I not only know who the players are, but I know what they have been doing. Some days I LOVE my job. I LOVE the Goddess of Astrology and Ceres is my new personal favorite. I am also really fond of Kali.

There are two double sided signs in the Zodiac: Pisces and Gemini. Gemini is the symbolized by the Twins and typically the action is two identical people arguing over too much information. Gemini loves information. Gemini is the intellect of the zodiac. They absorb information like a sponge. In the highest vibration, Gemini absorbs, categorizes, notes trends and uses. In its lowest, they can’t keep their mouth shut and it flows out as fast as it comes in. Can you say: scatterbrained? Gemini is my ascendant and everyone will tell you, I am person of few words. I prefer to listen. Oh, I can be witty and entertaining. I am an excellent speaker. However, I excel at listening. I also seldom forget anything and suddenly, my mind has cleared. Pisces is symbolized by two joined fish swimming in opposite directions. Water symbolizes emotion and everyone thinks the symbol means constant emotional turmoil and never knowing which way to go. Don’t fall for it. One fish is swimming in the way its heart leads and the other fish is swimming the way its head leads it. Pisces spends its life testing everything with heart and head before making a decision. Never let a Pisces fool you. We have a spine of stainless steel. We know exactly what we want and we will eventually get it. As the last sign of the Zodiac, we have learned to patient. Hurt the emotional fish and the rational one will get even, coldly and with the utmost of calculation.

Now on to the Scorpio aspects. All signs of an element work together. So when an aspect forms to Scorpio, it will affect Pisces and Cancer to a lesser degree. When it forms to Leo, it will affect Aries and Sagittarius to a lesser but equal degree and so forth. That is why these Scorpio aspects are bringing me so many answers.

Here is one for you. If you want to be happy, find what you love to do and do it. If you want the biggest, scariest challenge in the Universe, find what you love to do and do it. Please notice the one thing that is absent from what I just said: money. Once you focus on money, it becomes both the journey, the goal and the job…I don’t care what you are doing, you have changed your focus to money alone. That is where so many “spiritual” people go bad. Once the choice between what they love and dollar signs comes up with the old con line…but how much better can you do the job with a little money…they snap on that gold plated hook like a starving fish. That is the end of their journey. That is the end of their Spirituality. That is the beginning of an ego inflated beyond recognition and a miserable unhappy person. Look at MJ. Was there anything that man didn’t have in those houses? Yes, he didn’t have happiness. He didn’t have contentment. Without those two things, life really isn’t worth living. All the fame, playthings and money in the Universe can’t deliver that.

It’s Friday the 13th she cackles…….

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Rose and the incense is Alder.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Queen of Swords: subversion. Keep in mind when this card represents a woman, that she will appear beautiful, perceptive, and diplomatic. However, the moment things do not go her way, watch out. She is treacherous and vindictive. When this card appears in an action position, it is time to become very rational about what is happening around you.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.
Astrologically:
Be wary for a week. Chiron in Aquarius is squaring the Sun in Scorpio. Underhanded activity is afoot and people intend to expose your weaknesses and private tragedies. If you are hiding a health condition, hide it well!!! Your personal information could be electronically available in a millisecond. I really should read these things a week ahead. You’ll find out why in the commentary.
The morning starts with high energy and the urge to get a make over or beautify things. By evening good financial news arrives and the mood is lifted.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.
The Faeries say:
Self reliance is difficult today but make certain the person you place your trust in have your best interests at heart. It may be much better to muddle your way through than give up your power.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is:
Catnip: “You could do with a pick me up. Try something you really like today.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth
Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:
He of the Fiery Sword joins us today. Yes, he is also a singer. There are some who say he also goes by St. Michael and since most occultists agree that Arch Angels are not and never were human, they might be right. A lot of people think it is a fun thing to summon him when things get a little out of whack. I am warning you to think five times. Yes, he is a protector but he is also the sword of justice and may decide you are the problem. He is the active principle that with the passive/receptive principle, She of the Cruach, completes the act of creation. He is Spiritual Will personified. He will solve the problem, but more than likely not in the way you want as his way will always be the most expedient.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is Two and the Element is Water. The Dragon finds conflict but the Sheep and Monkey have ease. This is a good day for writing but NOT for construction.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I let go of all my preconceived ideas. I look at life and people around me in a new, open and accepting way. I am being divinely guided in a spirit of harmony and good judgment.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

I really want to thank all my Face Book buddies, even if we just play games together, for all the well wishes yesterday. It made my day after a really bad happening. In the past years I have been betrayed by all but four close friends (two local and two not) and you have no idea how much I value your budding friendships with me and well wishes. But I can’t help but wonder what makes people such duplicitous, vicious, individuals that actually enter into relationships with sole goal of malice and destruction. Is it that they are so miserable they can’t stand to see anyone else happy or doing well? What do you think? Or were they just born *itches and *astards to make the rest of us miserable, even perfect strangers, in any way they possibly can. Do they have a to do list that starts with “Whose day can I ruin?” Do they have a list of nasty things they must accomplish by noon? Do they really enjoy everyone hating them and all the chaos and destruction they cause? I really want to know because this makes no sense what so ever to my mind or soul.
Incidentally, if anyone gets caught in a scam like I am going to detail below and suffers emotional, financial or legal damage because of it, you can sue the group owner and Yahoo for breach of contract and/or promise and you can win.
Many of you are in Yahoo Groups. I, myself, manage and own several. Because of that I know the Yahoo Group rules and the mechanics of operating a group.
A couple of years ago I was in several groups. We were all ‘friends’, worked healings together and a few abundance spells. Everyone was ‘gaining’ from the groups. Then one day a two page tirade in which one of the owners suggested a member go ‘kill herself’ arrived in my mailbox. That’s when you go: What the Hay??? I got out instantly without a single word. I, one by one, got out of every group I belonged to except one within a day.
Today, a private group I belonged to for almost two years, the owner made it public and then notified everyone. No one really knows when she did it but it is irrelevant. In a private group on Yahoo, all the posts and information about the members is unavailable to the outside world. In a public group, it is just that. The information contained in posts, information threads, address books, and your email is accessed by every search engine on the web. The moment she made it public, one millisecond later every piece of information was already on the net. Let me explain this. Lets say you are in a support group that is private, you are not out of the closet on this topic, and you mention someone, a company or another group by name. Then one morning the owner decides to make the group public. All that information is now available to the entire world within milliseconds. There are bots (Programs) traveling the web scooping that information up as it hits the web, entering into data bases and web pages instantly. Even if the entire group were deleted twenty minutes or seconds later, if someone searched the right word or name, the sentence that word or name was used in will come up in the search engine forever. The link will just be disabled.
So folks, no matter how well you think you know someone, never use your real name on Yahoo and really, don’t use any one else’s! After yesterday a lot of people are going to be very hurt, their personal names and address and phone numbers have already been scooped up by the search services so they no longer have an unlisted phone number or address. They are now publicly associated with a group of ‘pagans’. Those online detective services have all sorts of lovely information about people. Lawsuits and divorces are a distinct possibility and I can only wonder if that was the real purpose from the beginning. No matter what, someone’s life is going to be ruined because of this and there is no way to stop it. It has already happened in one millisecond or less. Heck, hackers now have enough information about some people to open credit cards and bank accounts with just a little more digging.
I take my group manager/owner responsibilities very seriously. I have queried people who asked to join whether they were absolutely certain they didn’t want to get another email and use an alias before I confirmed them. I have been known to delete posts that contained names and send a little warning that this would be public information and they would be liable. For the most part, everyone in my groups is very careful because they know they have no idea who anyone else is in the group and who they really are.
So let me offer a few rules that I should have paid more attention to and then I would have realized something was really off. Anytime a group demands you sign your emails with your real name, it is a trap and crap. The group owner knows who you are, there is no reason anyone else needs to. I don’t care what the song and dance is. You can be deleted by the owner with one click. Why do they need your real name on the posts? There is no legitimate reason. You and your posts can be deleted at any moment. Any time a group starts asking for the names of your friends and family, even if it is for “healing”, don’t fall for it. What if your insurance company is trolling the internet for that name? Do not fill out cute little questionnaires. That information can be used against you. Any time the group is paranoid about information from within the group being made public or shared, be assured, at some point it will be. Assume every group is public and never write anything that can be used against you, particularly legally. Any time you receive an invitation and a friend’s name is used, contact the friend and make certain they sent out the invitation and that they actually, really do know the person who is claiming to be their close personal friend. You may be shocked to discover they don’t know this person any better than you do. And lastly, never ever enter your real name, address and phone number into any directory for your really ‘close friends’ on the internet unless you want that information to be public information.
Now, if you want to join Spellingbeers or Openrootworking, keep in mind, all my groups are public. I will protect your identity and information as best I can but I am not as fast as a computer so you have to do some of that work yourself. Get yourself an online persona with an email that is hard to trace back to you and keep your picture to yourself unless, like me, you are a totally public person. Then you have nothing to worry about. I want you to find me. I need the business…did I mention I, Druidlady, do readings via Keen on the net? I’m also known as Tarotlady on FB. I’d like to assure you that if I start wigging out, I have enough training to know it and will be consulting my colleagues for nice little pills and excusing myself from any groups I own. I won’t take it out on poor, trusting innocent people. If I’m going to take it out on people, I have a list of the guilty.
Now, you know why I like cats better than people. If a cat is out to get you, they just attack with claws and teeth, usually screaming. They don’t spend years plotting on how best to destroy people. They do it openly, like Napoleon and Josephina just did my fan.
Last night was weird in catville. It happens about every couple of months. The cats bring out things you never knew they had but you knew were missing and you were certain would never have interested a cat. Napoleon presented me with one of my glass bowls. I have no idea when he got it, where he was keeping it or why he would take it in the first place. It was clean so food was not the motivation. Another cat brought us the stopper from one of the sinks we didn’t even know was missing. I think we bought a replacement years ago…
The towel wars with Purrbie continue…and Purrbie is winning….signed, the Cat’s Slave.

Forecast and Faery Finder for 11/twelve/09

11-twelve-09

Forecast and Faery Finder

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Green and the incense is Apricot.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Three of Wands: cohesion. This card bring creativity. Ideas are hatched and projects conceived with this card. Your ideas hold valuable insights.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

The Moon enters Libra at Twelve Twenty Two PM.

You really want to make some changes, do some decorating and get some beauty in your life this afternoon. But you have limitations. Face them first and life will be less frustrating.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

It is hard to move forward fearlessly today, so move forward through the fear.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Cat’s Cradle: “Time to untangle the knots. Don’t put it off any longer.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

She of the Cruach is about today. We are really getting the Singers this week indicating really major emotional things happening. Once again this is Fae that nurtures us and brings fertility. Get out and start something new today. Work out some affirmation and then do them regularly. You can manifest your own reality when she is about.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is3 and the Element is Metal. The Rabbit finds conflict today but the Rat has ease. Today is an auspicious day for haircuts, medical procedures, writing and births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I let go of my past and the past of others.

I forgive totally and unconditionally.

I stop all the dramas now and fill my life wit playfulness, humor and joy, whatever the circumstance.

I celebrate life.”

Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

I have some good news but first, last night’s happening.

Somehow Napoleon convinced his sister, Purdy von Sweets, to jump up into my costume hanging on the door. The whole thing came off the hanger with Purdy inside. Napoleon grabs the whole hem and I mean, he has the whole hem sealed up with claws, teeth and body, trapping Purdy. Have you ever seen those horror movies with the people pushing out of the walls. That was what it looked like as Purdy tried to get out, I am shaking the dress, trying to get Napoleon loose and he is holding tight. It was at that point I just knew if I started laughing I was going to fall down in the hall and with nothing to hold onto, I would never get back to my feet. So, I am trying desperately to shake Napoleon loose and not laugh when Purdy spurts out through the arm hole, dashes across the bed and up to the ceiling on top of the armoire where she is holding onto the top, claws out and eyes bugged out. I made it to the bed and collapsed in gales of laughter. Some days I’m not the comic relief in this house. She didn’t come down all night and I don’t think she is ever going to trust another dress of mine. Meanwhile, I am fighting Purrbie over the towels. I have to have completely clean towels without cat cooties when I wash my hair and forehead every night before bandaging them. I even got a fluffy rug out of the linen closet. He still took my towel down and sprawled all over it. So here I am chasing this cat across the living room snapping his tail with a towel (and I swear he was laughing) when I realized putting the plastic on the windows to keep people and the wind from throwing things through them was a really good idea because the neighbors can’t see me.

Now for the good news. I had my post op check up and I am cleared for work. I have a check up in 3 weeks but I am healing well from the first surgery. It turned out the hospital was less than good with information. First they gave me an information sheet for wound care. You are supposed to check off what the person is supposed to do because most of the statements conflict. They didn’t check anything so I had to call the doctor the next day. Second they told me he used glue to seal the incision. He used dissolving stitches and glued surgical tape on them so I couldn’t snag them on anything. Gee, I’m so glad I already knew how to take the medication! Anyway, he removed the tape and the stitches were doing great and then glued more tape on. I still have to wear the bandage on the other wound but it is close to healed. Now for the great news. I didn’t realize it but my hair was so thin because it fell out from the scalp surgery. My hair is coming back in! I will have my own hair in a few months! It is about a half an inch long now so it’s going to be a while.

Forecast and Faery Finder for 11/11/09

11-11-09

Forecast and Faery Finder and the End of the World

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

A Thank You to all our veterans who have fought in our wars, whether voluntarily or not. Happy Veteran’s Day! Have a nice work day, though you can’t bank or get mail. Am I the only one who sees something really wrong with that?

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is white and the incense is honeysuckle.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Universe: consecration. You stand on the threshold. Before you are new opportunities, a journey and an evolution spirituality. Behind you is your previous life. To move forward you must leave things behind. Are you strong enough?

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

For a couple of days our universe is rife with arguments that are really miscommunications. You will find someone fancies you and it comes as a total surprise.

Some will be happy when the reap what they sow this morning and some will calculating the financial loss. This evening is an excellent time to promote yourself but do not try to play the sympathy card. After midnight things get really confused, so call it an early night.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

Today a problem will be resolved.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Caterpillar: “Slow down. Take time to focus on the small stuff.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

She of the Cruach is one of the Singers. When she appears, fertility abounds. She is the mother Goddess of all goddesses. She is nurtures us. The Cruach is a great energy filled bowled within which the future, past and present are visible. From this bowl, her dreams become our reality.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 4 and the Element is Metal. The Tiger finds conflict today but the Horse has ease. Today is NOT an auspicious day for writing and construction.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “Humility is not in my heart, opening the door to wisdom, true power and peace.

I now allow the love, peace and simplicity of my Soul to shine through.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Does anyone out there besides me think that complaining and whining about your job, when three hundred people are waiting to apply for it, is a really stupid idea?

Some days I think if I hear one more Mayan prophecy, I’m going to scream. Everyone does know the only “prophecy” is the calendar ending and then it starts over at the beginning? It’s a wheel. Then I realize I have a migraine and screaming is not a good idea. The world didn’t end in 2000 and it isn’t going to end in 2012. That’s the last time I am writing the date because my two doesn’t work on this computer…I lost the key to a cat claw.

What this date is, is the end of the Mayan Astrological cycle. What we do have is some anecdotal evidence from the last end of a cycle. According to some tribes in the SW, this marked a rather weird day on which metal tools levitated and did strange things like spin. This can be caused by the earth’s magnetic field shifting. When they say pole shift, they may mean magnetic poles, not the physical ones. There is geological evidence of this happening several times in the history of earth. If this happens, the effects may be catastrophic for electronics that are not shielded. Communications will definitely go down. Air craft had better be on manual control and all compasses will go buggy and that includes navigational systems. Your electronic ignition in your car may fry and die. Hopefully those of us with Fords that have cruise control will not find them bursting into flames but just in case, I will make certain red Vanwitch is parked away from flammable materials. In fact, I may just disconnect from the electrical grid if I haven’t succeeded in going solar by then. By now, I am certain all of you know that all things electrical hate me and I am not taking any chances. As for anything else, there is no point in worrying about things I have no control over. If a 300 foot tidal wave is headed this way, the cats and I can kiss our tails goodbye because nothing is stopping it. End of story.

A lot of people are very dissatisfied with the way things are going in Washington. As some know, I have had the displeasure of being involved in the underbelly of Washington when I was young. No, I don’t mean the drug pushers and prostitutes, I mean Congress. I know Our President had high ideals when he arrived and I also know he hit a brick wall. Change doesn’t come fast to Washington. Actually, frozen molasses moves faster. Washington is ruled by special interest groups that finance politicians getting back into office and for that financial support, they trade their political support. Everything is for sale. Pretty Hallmark card envelopes stuffed with cash disguised as thank you notes are delivered to wives of congressmen (used to be my job) at social events by innocent young teenage girls…well, I looked innocent. If the bribe was really big, it sometimes needed to be stuffed in the bottom of a bouquet of roses…the type of flower was the give away not to toss them in the garbage where most of your offerings wind up. That is reality. There’s a preacher on every corner decrying the current political agenda as the end of Christianity as we know it, but his real religion is publicity and his god is money but thousands fall for it and send their kid’s lunch money to him while collecting a free school lunch from the very administration they think is ruled by Satan and turning us socialist. Am I cynical? I have seen all of this with my own eyes….I am realistic. Unfortunately, our Libra president is idealistic and naïve.

The banks came to Washington and sold the idiots we elected, most of whom don’t qualify for a job a McDonald’s…Bush sure didn’t…a bill of goods. Oh please Mr and Ms Congressperson, give us until February of next year to update out computer systems so we can follow the new credit cards laws otherwise, our computers won’t be able to follow the new rules and will crash and the whole financial system will go down the tubes. Funny, it took them less than 48 hours to print letters and program their computers with new higher interest rates, penalties and fees but it seems subtraction and lowering interest rates is a function computers can’t do. Why did our congress people believe them? Because most of them don’t qualify to work at McDonalds <and their computer has pictures on the keys> and between the insurance companies and the banks just about every politician is owned by one or the other or both!

So, let me give you a fair warning. Whatever you do, do not take one of the plentitude of credit card offerings arriving in your mail box. Throw them in the garbage. Do not open them. George just loves to read them and find the hook. Somewhere in that lovely bunch of legalese that requires a magnifying glass to read there is a statement that exempts them from the new laws if you agree by taking their card. It is cleverly phrased but it is there. One late payment and your interest rate hits around 30% on most of them. You will get a late payment even if you pay electronically. I got into a fight with Skank of America (credit to Jay Leno) when they tried to tell me my electronically delivered payment to MBNA was late and that it suddenly, after I had scheduled and programmed the payment on their computer system, took 5 days to deliver it. I sent them a letter because I have learned you never communicate via phone..they will deny everything they told you as I learned with American Express when I got hit with a late payment after the officer in charge and even a second person swore up and down it wouldn’t happen, don’t send another payment, we’ll straighten it out right now and you have 19 days grace anyway…LIES every one! And then they denied it to the letter that anyone ever said anything like that. In my letter I informed them (Skank) I knew they were the same company and if it took them 5 days to transfer money to themselves, they really needed a new computer programmer and I was available. Hey, I can only program a limited amount in DOS but I had to be better than what they claimed they had. They returned half..HALF..my late fee and once again, I sank my fangs in their leg. This time they apologized and returned the rest and admitted the payment was never late. I should point out I also gave them my lawyer’s name and phone number and threatened to sue them. They know some judges down here will find in your favor without hearing the case and yes, they can do that.

Napoleon is a lot like Congress, he hates change. Change anything and you have one upset puddy cat. The first night of the mattress topper and Napoleon refused to sleep on the bed. Now his family, Purdy von Sweets, Purrbie and Josephina were all on the bed in his place. Purdy is a strange hyper cat. If she were human, she would be a skinny little, coffee drinking, chain smoking woman with multiple tics. As it is, she just drives you nuts butting you, kneading you, purring and carrying on a constant commentary of the acts and I have yet to figure out what she wants. Purrbie is finding it hard to be two cats in one as my old Boopie inhabits his body. He must, MUST, lick each finger. This is not your dog lapping licking. This is carefully licking every millimeter of skin with special attention to the underside of your nails and then biting the finger, all ten fingers, and then repeat for good measure, licking. Josephina on the other hand has the curious ability to stretch out and then ooze over the entire bed like a huge, heavy glob of gelatinous fur. I think you can see why I prefer Napoleon who simple sleeps quietly at my side, putting up with me sliding him down and getting in and out of bed several times a night. He returned last night, though I first got the dirty look. YOU CHANGED MY BED! By next week he will be used to it or maybe by next month…..

Forecast and Faery Finder for 11/10/09

Forecast and Faery Finder

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Black and the incense is Geranium.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Ace of Cups: immersion. Take a good look at your lessons from the past and how they are acting as emotional triggers today.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

The Moon enters Virgo at 8:30 AM EST.

For a couple of days, avoid whining at all costs. People don’t want hear that song again.

This is not a good week for making money, buying and selling property and anything financial. You will meet with both resistance and deception.

This morning is an excellent time to approach authorities and elders with new ideas. The afternoon will be a very social time but be careful not to offend with off color remarks.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

Laughter abounds today. Enjoy the lightened mood.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Cat Woman: “Revel in your sensuality and passion. Do things that make you purr.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

The Sage greets us this morning. This sage is also a shaman, not all are. He embodies wisdom and deep understanding and he teaches patience. His lesson is simple. Always learn and explore new things. Figure out how to fit them into your world. Deepen your knowledge of the world and the universe.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 5 and the Element is earth. The Ox find conflict today but the Tiger has ease. This is not an auspicious day for construction.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “If I persevere and keep faith in my ultimate success, no power on earth can prevent it. God protects and supports me in all my endeavors.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

The Mattress Topper is proving to be way too comfortable. I have a bed full of stretched out cats snoozing. Even the Microwits have attempted to join me. Day two and I awoke with no pain. Oh how I hate getting out of bed! I am just so comfy!

The hurricane is nowhere near me and we had nice sunny skies today. We expect no change from that. Thus, we are safe but some people will remember when I said the hurricane season would start shifting to later and later because the oceans are getting too warm. The Gulf of Mexico did not used to be warm enough to intensify a hurricane this late in the season. How are you liking the global warming? While most of you sit in snow, some of us broil and that is the way it will be until the weather equalizes and we all sweat 24/365. If the change were normal, it would occur slowly and globally like the last mini ice age. Huge swings like this aren’t normal and take time to equalize. Unfortunately, they equalize violently.

Many, many years ago I was on a radio program with Alan Burke and he asked me what the coming weather would be. What I saw was terrifying and I hate to say this, but I saw the weather map from that night right in front of me happening on the TV screen 5 years ago. Other psychics were seeing the USA mostly under water, however, not to brag, but I tend to be a bit more accurate than them. Here are a few things I have seen. I have a seen a world with no wind, not even a breeze, stifling hot. I have seen an ocean with no waves and tide, a bright lime green color. I seen a world where the ocean rises massively an slowly each day like a creeping monster and may not go down again. I have seen a world with an ocean you can not physically swim in and to fall into it is a death sentence. I have seen our country organized into guilds, each wearing their own particular uniform. I have seen a world with few trees, artificial lawns, hedges and plants because there is no water to spare. I have seen a world in which people sleep in climate controlled tubes to get relief from the heat and swim in gravity zero pools because there is no water to spare. I have seen a world in which a pet is a luxury only the rich can afford because there is no extra food to feed one. I have not seen a world I want to live in. But what really scares me is engineers have told me everything I have seen is totally possible! All it will take is a little more heat.

At the same time those many years ago, I had contact with many of the rich and powerful movers, most of whom were worshiping the ground Reagan walked on. I asked one flat out if it bothered him, they were destroying the planet; that there would be no world for his children and grandchildren. I was quickly informed he had purchased a huge amount of land at the top the Andes for his family to retire to when things got too bad. Too bad there will no water there… J . Mother Nature is a harsh Mistress and she always wins.

I have a post op doctor’s appointment on Wednesday but I predict I will be back in the saddle much earlier than anticipated. I was even thinking about doing a show before the New Year, but first, you have to pry me off this mattress topper. How can I go to a motel when those beds will be horribly hard and I will wake up stiff and aching? Incentives will have to be great. And to think, I laughed ten years ago at a friend who stopped taking vacations because he didn’t want to abandon his feather bed…..Oh Winn, I now totally and completely understand. A soft, warm bed beats anything else the world has to offer at my old and doddering age.

I’ve noticed Prescious feels the same way. Other cats will lay on anything, but he seeks out a soft surface for his 18 hour naps. At this moment in time, he is the oldest cat in the house and I have no idea how old. He has to be at least 20 years old or more.

Every time I look at a new computer with all the bells and whistles, I think I really want it, until the moment I realize I would have to transfer all my files and programs. That is when I leave the store. It’s the same with phones, though Nokia does have a new one that works with your hearing aides, I just can’t find out exactly how it works with them….

Forecast and faery Finder for 11/09/09

11-09-09

Forecast and Faery Finder

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

Helpful Hints

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Gray and the incense is Narcissus.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Four of Pentacles: Authority. Keep your secrets to yourself as today they will be used against. Hidden enemies abound.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

For about a week, social events allow elders and those in authority to relax and make changes.

The Fourth Quarter Moon begins at 10:56 AM EST.

You will find it hard to promote yourself this morning. The Power Lunch doesn’t exist and is a bad time to discuss financial matters. Actually, it is not a nice day. Arguments occur in the afternoon has someone’s ego gets under your skin. Old hurts, pains and wounds resurface to annoy us. Surprise emotional announcement take your ego down quite a few notches. Lastly, romance is going bad and you intuition is so far off it isn’t even in the ball park. Work alone and on things to fix yourself.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

Family harmony is hard to achieve today.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Fat Cat: “Be generous; share your abundance with others.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

Indi was in Shakespeare’s famous play: To be or not to be. Actually although the choice seems obvious but he can never make up his mind and if he infects you, you will be in as big a muddle as he is.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 6 and the Element is Earth. The Rat finds conflict today but the Rooster (George) has ease.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “My work and my life’s path are now rapidly moving toward their Divine realization. An Abundance of love, beauty and energy is now emerging naturally in my life. I share these gifts with others through joyful service.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Today’s commentary is very mundane helpful hints.

1. For the first time today in I don’t know how long, awoke without pain in my neck, shoulders and back. I also awoke without the migraine I usually wake up to and I could focus my eyes. The problem was, I simply didn’t want to leave my comfy little nest. The only change is the memory foam topper. I am heartily endorsing. I usually work on my laptop on my bed where I have the huge (It’s a twin bed.) surface to spread stuff out on and for the first time, my lower posterior is not hurting! This is good!

2. Are you dieting and cutting down on the carbs but love those mashed potatoes? Well, I was in the doctor’s office the TV was on the Diabetic Channel. Yes, there not only is such a thing but it is the only thing he ever has running. Okay, he’s an endocrinologist but would the Science Fiction Channel kill him? I wound up sitting next to it and could actually hear it for the first time. To cut the number of carbs in mashed potatoes in half and get some really neat vitamins, here is a recipe that George almost had to hold his nose to taste. Now, it is a nightly menu item. He loves it. Boil half red potato chunks and cauliflower (Yes, you read that right.) together. Mash them with a tablespoon of low fat sour cream and top with a couple of tablespoons of low fat shredded yellow cheese. I’ve been using the Mexican Mix. You won’t even need margarine on them. However, I will warn you. If you let them sit, the cauliflower becomes more prominent. At first, you can’t even taste it. An hour later, you can taste it. You can adjust the cauliflower amount up and down to suit the number of carbohydrates you want.

3. Okay, I am cheap. It suddenly got to me that we only use half a Post It note. Very seldom do we write anything on the back and the back is sticky. We rip them off and into the garbage they go. Now, that tweaked my Scottish/Dutch genes and I spent some time working out a system to use the back of the note. It turned out to be simple. Just flip the note over and attach it to the bottom end of the bottom of the stack. You can chain them out and have a nice piece of note paper when you are finished. Bingo, both sides used!

Now that the helpful hints are over, I have made a discovery. When you absolutely do not want to hit a part of your body, you will hit that part repeatedly. I got some water on the wound and went to blot it. I whacked myself in the eyebrow so hard, I have a headache. It would be nice if that was the first whack but I have also poked myself in the eye several times. Never before have I assaulted this eye with such frequency.

I buy some lunch meat at Costco that comes in a little tray. It is either herbed turkey (my favorite) and the new fried chicken flavor. Being frugal, see number 3, I decided the tray would make an excellent cat food bowl for a while. Before I could get the cat food out, Mr. B had the tray by one end and is trying to straddle it and walk at the same time. He was falling on his nose with every step but he managed to get it into the living room. I was laughing too hard to take it back. I have no idea where it finally ended up but I am sure at some point I will step in it and almost break my neck.

By the way, 11/09/09 is a one day, so work on things for yourself. 9 is for magic so this a day for spells of self improvement by (3rd quarter Moon) removing obstacles and habits that are holding you back.

I DON’T BELIEVE IT! It is the first of November, the wind is blowing so hard it almost snatches the laundry out of my hands and those no good for nothing blood sucking little mosquitoes have ringed my ankles with bites. Don’t they have an off season?

Forecast and Faery Finder for 11/08/09

Forecast and Faery Finder

&

How to kill yourself with a Memory Foam Mattress Topper

By Janice Scott-Reeder and the Bitwit

According to Llewellyn’s Spell-a-Day Almanac, today’s color is Yellow and the incense is Almond.

FORECASTS:

Deck: Navigators Tarot of the Mystic Sea.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Magian: encapsulation. You superior abilities of perception can be used for helping people or for tricking them.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

The Moon enters Leo at 5:23 AM EST.

For a couple of days there will be cross words if you invade other people’s space or quote them without credit.

You may not want to venture out in the morning because of limitations but you miss a good time if you succumb to these feelings. Just don’t try to make any changes. Go with the flow. Energy will gradually increase today so get out of bed.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

You are feeling sexy today.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Catkin: “Think about all the positive qualities you’ve inherited from your family.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

Honesty is about and what a sweet Fae he is. He believes you. He believes in you. He innocence personified and that is why you must careful with him. He will allow you to totally delude yourself.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 7 and the Element is Fire. The Boar finds conflict today but the Dog has ease. Today is not an auspicious day for haircuts, writing, gambling, construction or births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “Negativity now vanishes completely from my life. Nothing can threaten me anymore, as I am protected by the light of my Higher Self. I am safe and everything turns out right.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Fiona feels she has found the perfect place. It is just Fiona wide, protected on three sides and gives her a view of the bathroom. This perfect place is behind the door.

I do not know why I do these things. I really don’t. I decided today was the perfect day to put the mattress topper on the bed. That was almost the famous last words for my tombstone. The doctor told me not to do anything strenuous but how hard could it be? It is one of those memory foam toppers that weighs a ton. Fortunately, I have a twin bed. For those of you who do not, the first instruction is to unroll the topper on a flat surface that is not your bed. Sure, and where would that surface be if you have a king sized bed? They even give you cute little pictures with arrows. Is there anyone out that when face with a rolled up cylinder actually attempts to unroll it from the ends? I mean, that is impossible. You can only unroll it in one direction but I have a diagram to explain that just in case I normally do the impossible.

I used my bed because there is no flat surface that big anywhere else. It sat there and did nothing for a half hour, so I opened it up and let it naturally fall down and it promptly folded itself up. I unfolded it and crammed the paper stuff it arrives wrapped in into the folds and waited an hour. I returned to find it forming a long U. Obviously this is not an hour job. Off I went to play computer games and returned an hour later to find it mostly flat, but, it is wrapped in something akin to pastry paper if you know what that is. Now I have to remove the paper from a topper that has gorging on pastries while it lay there. The thing had gained weight. I am positive it had gained weight. Five minutes later, I managed to get it off of its protective paper cover and discovered I now have a huge piece of paper. Well, who cares, I am putting its stupid cover on it. I don’t care if the edges are curled up. It turned out when I read the instructions that was normal.

They come with a cover, but you have no idea what kind until you open it. The instructions cover all contingencies unfortunately at the same time rather than consecutively like normal people. I just know the instructions were written by a man. If a woman had written them the first line would have read: either find a young muscle bound stud or return this thing to the store where you stupidly bought it.

That is when you find out why the mattress is supposed to be peacefully resting elsewhere. You have to lay the cover on the bed, move the topper to the bed and then zip it up in the cover. My cover was fitted and there was no where to take the topper so I practiced my suicide mattress flipping Kung Po (Kung Fu actually works; Kung Po ends with you flat on the floor.) to get it under the topper and over the mattress and then over the topper and lastly, zipped up on three sides. You know how foam hates to be zipped up in anything. It will ooze and fight you to the last molecule swelling up like a puffer fish and just as mean. A little hint from an idiot; never place your bed where you cannot get to all four sides. You cannot lift the corner of a mattress while you are on your knees on top of it no matter how little you weigh. Finally it was on, zipped up and I was sweating. I cannot remove the bandage from my operation and now there was salt under it. YEOOOOWWW!!!!!!

I survived that after almost passing out from the pain and went out to sit for a while incase said topper from Hades decided it wanted to do anything else. While enjoying my seatedness and the pretty little lights flickering in front of my eyes, who needs a light show, the cats managed to open my bedroom door. I returned twenty minutes later to find everything on the bed, including the cats who were luxuriating on the new topper like the cats they are. The cover now had books, make up and my little package of sample threads. Another few minutes of work and this time I made the bed before any other disasters befell it. The package of sample thread spools is two thirds full and I am certain I shall find the rest when I am walking down the hallway in the middle of the night. Then, I once again experienced the joy of salt in an almost open wound. Is there a disco ball in here? I am certain the cover is not water and claw proof so it had to have additional protection from the feline contingency that rules the house.

What is it like? Well, have you ever had a feather bed? That is what it is like. I, being deathly allergic to feathers, cannot have a feather bed. Are they expensive? I have a twin bed and BJ’s had a twenty five dollars off sale one day and I got mine fairly cheaply. However, any other size and they are expensive. Are they worth it? Me thinks so but I like a soft bed. If you like a hard bed, you probably shouldn’t invest in one. Should I try the memory foam pillow to see if I like the stuff. Absolutely not. I took mine back and the gal at the counter pointed to a whole stack of them and said they were the most returned item. It was like sleeping on a sand bag or a brick. She had no idea why they continued to sell them. They are nothing like the mattress topper. Would I buy the mattress? Yeah, if I was rich. Having eliminated that possibility, I will stick to a cheap twin bed and never remove the topper.

Before I decided on this suicide run, I found the cat on my towel. I had to wash it because anything touching my forehead needs to be semi sterile. In a fit of total insanity or stupidity, I also decided to wash the covers on my foam wedges. George actually had to get two of them off for me. I managed to put them back on and then realized I might have pulled the wound apart doing that and panicked. I didn’t. All I need is a visit to the ER for my insurance company to consider me a total loss. Anyway, I have the bed back to rights, the wedges are zipped together and wrapped in the cover the topper came in, I am too tired to insert them under the covers and the cats are banished. Just another day in the cat house. Oops, did I say banished. It seems there is Mac of some persuasion asleep right in front of me that I wouldn’t have noticed if an ear had not twitched. I am too tired to find out who.

Forecasrt and Cursed or Something Simple?

Today’s Tarot Card is the Hermit: Exaltation. Push your ego to the side and let the cosmic forces enlighten and lead you today.

Astrological Source: Llewellyn’s 2009 Daily Planetary Guide.

Astrologically:

You have some great ideas about how to promote yourself in the early morning and they may even come to you in dreams. It is not the day to implement them. Money and help are not on the way and you may find dealing with electronics a general pain this morning. By afternoon a loved one tells you how much they love you and then you aren’t certain exactly what they meant by it. Calls and emails from family are confusing.

Venus enters Scorpio at 7:23 PM EST, where she puts on the black dress and gets sexy.

Deck: Healing with the Fairies.

The Faeries say:

If you stay the course through opposition, dreams can come true today.

Today’s Cat Comfort Card is :

Catamaran: “Stay balanced. Ride out the storm.”

Deck: The Fairies’ Oracle by Brian Froud & Jessica MacBeth

Today’s Faery Finder is on the lookout for:

Luathas the Wild is a green Fae with tattered wings and they got that way because in his haste he just doesn’t watch where he is going. He is very impulsive and can get you in a lot of trouble. Hang gliding? Why not? It’s safe, right? Although he is green, he is a Fire Fae and these is no way to predict when he is going to show up. In his best and most manageable form, he brings creativity. Just don’t expect him to stick around for the final product because he gets bored.

Today’s Lo Shu Number is 8 and the Element is Fire. The Dog finds conflict today. Today is NOT an auspicious day for haircuts, medical procedures, writing, gambling, construction or Births.

Today’s Message from the Universe is: “I stop taking myself so seriously. I let go of my feelings of self-importance and of all the dramas in my life. Through simplicity, humor, laughter and play, I rediscover the joy, lightness and magic of life.” Annie Marquier creating a world of peace one thought at a time.

COMMENTARIES BY JANICE SCOTT-REEDER

Sorry about yesterday but I really was feeling much worse than I thought I was.

When you are trying your best not to cause yourself more harm, you just can’t get out of your own way. I am trying to not touch the incision. So far I have jammed my eyeglasses in my eye, whacked myself in the eyebrow several times and even poked myself in the eye with my finger. None of this do I do on a daily basis, but today, I am doing it hourly! OUCH!

Napoleon’s fever is down and his eye is no longer running. He even played last night so my baby is on the mend. By tomorrow he should back to normal. Right now he is my lap. All the other cats got their Advantage yesterday, but I held off on Napoleon because of the sneezing. Tomorrow he gets his! I have concluded I am not a cat owner, I am a cat slave.

One thing I have often found amazing is the blame curve when people finally accept there is more to life than just what you see. One day they didn’t even believe in metaphysics and a month later if they get a hangnail it has a metaphysical cause and usually that is a CURSE!

I tend to think of it as extreme laziness. It is easier to blame and curse and someone else than take matters into your hands, find the reason and DO SOMETHING!

Now some of you know I began my career in high education studying to be a theoretical mathematician. Yes, I can even do calculus. Then I moved to biology and botany and before moving into psychology can getting my degrees. It wasn’t for lack of ability because even with those ‘hard’ courses, I graduated with honors and my psychology degree is in experimental psychology. So no matter how much lamentation around me, I first look for the logical, rational explanation.

Take last weekend. I came home in total agony as I have from every event I have done outside the shop. True, at the moment it made no sense. I am doing nothing I do not do all day at home and the shop: read cards. Most people would be trying to ferret out who was cursing them but I’m looking for the logical explanation and after a couple of days of cogitating on it, at 3 AM I sat up in bed with the AHA moment.

Imagine you sit for five hours with your legs straight out in front of you playing solitaire with real cards. At the end, I bet no matter what your age, you would be stiff and hurting. That is what happens to me in reverse. I normally sit in a modified Lotus position or with my legs straight out on the bed, laptop in my lap. I go to an event and I have to sit with my legs dangling down, pulling every muscle in my body from my toes to the top of my head by moving my arms and hands to lay out the cards and shuffle them. Now, I can fix the problem. I get cushions and modify what I doing and work on sitting for short times in a chair with my legs down….sort of training for the event. Who knew reading cards was so strenuous? It looks easy…..as do so many things.

The Microwits have been having Advantage since they were bitty wits, so they are totally used to it. They are happy to be rid of the few fleas they had. However, George quickly learned the Catwits are much more challenging. I don’t think he liked chasing cats. Me, I lure them out with food and then I pounce. Hey, they pounce me all the time. I have the scratched ankles to prove it.

This is my first experience with surgical glue. Wow, look mom, no stitches. I just have at least one fine line where the tissue is put together. Actually I can see three, but most of the area is covered with some new type of tape or bandage. George went hysterical last night when he found me taking a shower, but I had no intention of getting my eyebrow wet. I called the doctor today , just to check, and I can even wash my hair. I just have to blot the area dry. Wow, you have no idea how much of change that is from the olden days when I was young and dinosaurs roamed the earth. I know I said I would kill for some hair color, but I really didn’t mean getting my hair colored with Betadine. On the plus side, it is red.

I am trying to learn to sleep on my back. I have to have my legs elevated so my back remains straight on the back wedge I need for my asthma. I have a leg pillow but my legs, unlike the rest of the universe, are perfectly balanced. The upper and lower part is equal in length and the leg is equal to my body including my head. Yes, it makes for a really pretty leg and a nicely balanced body but it also means no chair or cushion ever fits you comfortably. Now, add a 27 inch inseam and you feet don’t reach the floor most of the time and nothing really fits right. So, I am improvising and as a result, I can just now move my left shoulder and turn my head. I can’t sleep on the right side because that is where the original cancer operation is healing and now the left side has an eyebrow wound healing. My back is my only option and that is why I was on Facebook so late last night. I was going for totally miserable.

Now that I have no real TV, I swear the DVD’s are multiplying. I have to find a holder of some kind for them. I know there are rentals, but I do so like to rewatch Fringe to see what I missed the first time around and a whole bunch of others. When you live with chronic pain, a good DVD library can be a sanity saver. You also need a sound machine because for me, nothing is as relaxing as the rain. It used to be the crickets chirping until Purdy von Sweets tried to kill the machine. She was getting them out of it one way or the other.

The new J.D. Robb book: Kindred in Death is sitting beside me so you know I can’t wait to dig into it!
