My Crazy Life...Can You Relate?

Hello All,

I haven't posted any new blog material in a while because I have been multi-tasking. That is...I am the President of a local parents' organization, I have two special needs children, I am pursuing a master's degree, I have a husband(a huge undertaking in itself) and working on Keen. In these economic times everyone is hustling, this type of schedule is the norm.

My degree will be in Organization Psychology and Development. I am learning a great deal about business relations. Right now I'm learning about entrepreneurship. Through the months, I have gained business and financial insights that are invaluable. I can now give practical business insight as well as psychic insight on financial concerns. I can help callers with interviewing and business communitcations techniques that may lead to new employment.

With all my responsibilties, if I have the time to invest in a better future, so do you.

What I have learned about Boys

I have two sons 6 and 8 years old. My 6 year old likes to eat so to make his life easier (for himself) he wants to learn how to cook. So like the mom that I am I took him and his brother to the bookstore to look for children's cookbooks. Skimming the shelves a book "BOYS SHOULD BE BOYS, 7 Secrets to Raising Healthy Sons" by Meg Meeker, MD caught my eye. So, again, being the curious mom and I'm always looking for growth, I purchased the book.

Whoa, you know, I was able to see some of my father, my brother, my husband, my husband's father in what I read in the first chapter of this book. I was hooked. When it comes to raising children any additional rational, scientific explanations do help. The book even took me back to my childhood. I was the biggest tom boy and my personality was a lot like the male personalities described in this book, which made me think about my previous career in law enforcement(male dominated career) and my personality in general.

I would suggest that anyone who need to understand their father, husband, uncle or any male that you know, to buy this book.

BTW...my 6 and 8 year old made pancakes for dinner tonight(with a little help from mom).

OMG! This is what I was sent about the Rising Gas Prices

On June 24th I wrote in asking any one to explain why we are paying so much for gas. Well, I received some great responses which all made sense. I aslo was sent this link and boy did it blow my mind. It's 75 minutes long but I could not take my eyes and ears away. When the video ended, I had no choice but to just sit there and think real hard about my resonsibility as an American. My little everyday problems have taken a back seat. Take a look. I promise you will be amazed. Let me know what you think.

What's the gas prices like where you live?

This is getting ridiculus. The price of regular is almost $5.00 in New York City. I don't even think to look at the price for plus or premium. I have been watching the news programs. They explain the reasons for the rise in prices, but I can't follow. Something about the lack of oil production and the excessive demand and they can't keep up. Then they blamed the economic speculators for the increase. But none of this makes any sense. Can anyone out there give me an explanation I can understand?

It's sad, we are paying all this money and I have no idea why.

Could there be GOOD FORTUNE for All in the new year?

Ok, I'm no astrologer but something is definately going on. The energy feels very different. Since the start of the new year people are a lot nicer, more understanding, and life seems less hectic. Everything I dreamt about the week before last came to pass last week exactly as I dreamt it. Heck, my mother won $10,000 at the start of the year. She's never won such a large amount of money. Has any one else noticed the difference?

Warm wishes and great success in the new year to all. The new year can be the start of positive change. Make an effort to think a little differently, show more appreciation to the people that are special to you. Remember the golden rule? "Do on to others as you would have others do on to you." What a great principal to follow in relationships, at work, on the bus, while you are driving...etc. Also use the theory in reverse, you wouldn't treat others like garbage, so don't allow anyone to treat you that way.

Readings are a gift not to be abused. They are not meant to spy or be used for immediate gratification. They are a form of guidance for life. I, even lose sight of that sometimes because life can get a little complicated sometime but God always brings me back. Perhaps readers have fine tuned there gifts to be able to pin point specific dates and time frames but I believe we are here for a higher purpose.

To use our services more efficiently, it is important to stay focused on your concern and not spead your energy too thin. We have an unusual way of looking at a subject matter which sometimes leads you (the caller) to look at your situation a little differently. Take time to digest what we are saying. I have had callers leave negative feedback because of what I have told them, only to turn around to call me back after they realized what I was saying was true. You are paying good money for a professional service. Use it wisely.

Having Christmas dinner with the in-laws

What a day. My hubby (it was his birthday) wanted us to spend the evening with his family. Due to some past events, I decided long ago that they did not have me or my children 8 and 5 best interest at heart. I don't keep negativity around me, so naturally I let them go. And now, 4 years later here we are. It was a surprisingly good evening, but now I realized more than ever why distance is needed. I CAN'T STAND IGNORANCE. I'm intellegent enough to know, I don't know everything but I am always open to new ideas. I just found out that my oldest son has a learning disability. I suspected it for a couple of years and made sure that even though school was tough, I encouraged him to have a positive attitude.

These people are telling their children that they are lazy, spanking the nine year old for not doing his homework, all kinds of 1940's techniques in dealing with their kids. Then to find out that the nine year old has been identified as having a learning disability and not getting the proper help he needs in school. SO WHY KEEP TORTURING THIS KID?

Let's not mention the liquor bottles all over the house. We wouldn't want mom not to have liquor available at every turn. I try to lead by example. When offered a drink I said no. Not because I don't drink, but I like for my children to understand the power of choice. I realized tonight that I'm a loner because I have a very different approach to things. Thank God! I am sooooo happy to be different!

I'm not God so I must be a circus freak

That's how I feel sometime in my personal life. I don't tell everyone I meet that I am a clairvoyant reader. Imagine the surprise to the people in my personal life that don't know. They are always asking me, "how did you know that?". I have learned that even if I have a feeling but I don't fully understand why, I go with my gut. I don't have any friends that are psychic, so it would be hard for some to relate to my experiences. There are times that people give me strange looks. I'm getting used to it. I am grateful for my gift. I swear I stop using my brain because of it. God Bless.

Acts Of Kindness

Just when I think people have given up on kindness, something happens to shatter my opinion. Where I live, there was a huge fire that destroyed two houses and severly damaged a third. It was like a whirl wind. The families lost everything. But what you thought was a sad occasion turned into the most beautiful acts of kindness I have seen in a long time. Almost immediately, the community rose up and started donating money, clothes, etc. Businesses started donating gift cards for hundreds of dollars. The families are so overwhelmed with the kindness of their neighbors, they feel compelled to refuse their gifts. (Of course, I talk the families out of that with a quickness.)

You see kindness comes when and from where you least expect it. Just because you don't see it all the time doesn't mean it no longer exists. Have faith. God Bless.

Answer to Questions About My Gift

A caller just recently asked me about my psychic abilities. Interesting question since I haven't been asked in quite some time.

To make a long story short, when I was nine years old, I had the most distrurbing dream. My father was trapped in a burning building and could not get out. No matter how hard I tried I could not get him out of this building. I remember waking up feeling great sorrow. I felt like one of my parents were going to die. At the time I thought it was my mother, logically, because she had just undergone a series of serious surgeries.

On June 26, 1985, three years after I had my dream, my mother recieved a phone call. While on a business trip, my father went to sleep in his hotel room and never woke up. He died in his sleep. As devastating as this was, because I am the oldest of three children, I could not help but feel that I had to take care of my mother and younger siblings. I mean I knew this was coming and didn't stop it. Could this be my fault?

I found out many years later that my mother had a similar dream, the night my father passed away. That's when I knew that there was more to this than just a simple dream.
