If someone does not know their birth time, a good guess at the time can be calculated by certain characteristics and daily activities for the calculation of the chart (so it's ok to be adopted or not be too sure...) In 90-Degree Astrology we use the date and time of the event and the location of where it happens on Earth to form an accurate longitudinal picture of the location of the planets, Sun, Moon and stars. In the ancient inscriptions, all the lights orbiting above our heads in the sky were just called "luminaries". They were divided up into "greater luminaries" and "lesser luminaries". That is why in astrology the sun and the moon are also counted as "planets", because planet was the mediaeval name for the entire bunch of luminaries that weren't stars. There are advantages to having astrology as a secondary clock for great timing…if you want to get a tattoo or piercing, it is best to go on a good day at a great time for it so it looks right and you don’t get an infection (or there isn’t an inadvertent earthquake or some other unfortunate event to mess it up.) Astrology is also a great way to see if you should take al the risks and expenses to compete in an event months or years away…you can look at anything as long as you have the date, the general location where it will occur and the general time of day. Pretty cool, really!

Astrology when it is used right is like having a total stranger peek under the bed or in the closet. It’s too funny, and there are times when we all need somebody else to say out loud the very thing we have been thinking or somehow knew all along!
