I am Checks & Balances. As an accountant with over 30 years of experience working with businesses in many different industries, I become part of each business I work with as one of that business's most devoted support staff.
I am currently based in New Mexico. Prior, I worked in New York City and Westchester Co. NY.
I have experience in over 30 different industries, Real Estate, Construction, Interior Design/Architectural, Retail, Manufacturing and Medical to name a few. Many larger accounting firms have retained me as a "troubleshooter" to their clients as a consultant to correct problems, streamline office methods and resolve issues. I provide assistance in office setup, Chart of Accounts customization to the business, instruction and training for Quickbooks and am fully knowledgeable in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Job Costing, Inventory, paper records management and all other facets of accounting.
I maintain, supervise and troubleshoot clients in person by visiting their place of business as well as by email and by phone.
My experience with Quickbooks begins before Quickbooks was actually developed. I was a trainer and installer for an old DOS software package called In-House Accountant whose newest version was sold to Intuit more than 10 years ago, which then became Quickbooks. I have worked with Quickbooks through every version and currently maintain all current versions supported by Intuit Technical Support. (Versions 2001, 2002 and 2003 Standard, Pro and Premier) I install, train and maintain stand-alone versions and network versions of Quickbooks. I supervise all business information on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and provide the most concise information to the tax preparer of the business. Many firms are pleased to receive their client information from Checks & Balances.
As an Intuit Advisor, I take pride and pleasure in seeing productivity of a client's business improve as we work together to customize the power of Quickbooks to provide information and save time and money for the customer.
