snowpaw Eating Disorders.

My name is Snow Paw. I am a qualified Nurse in both General and Psychiatric fields. I qualified in 1978 after extensive training. I chose to specialise in Eating Disorders and have risen to the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist. I am trained in Councelling. Having helped sufferers of all ages I feel able to talk to anyone and offer help and guidance. I also help relatives of sufferers. I find one-one councelling very rewarding as it gives me the opportunity to relate and empathise with the client, be they the sufferer themselves, relatives or friends. Being an excellent listener, people find me very easy to relate to. Many of the people that I have cared for in Hospital and in Therapy sessions still keep in touch with me as a friend and for support when needed. Understanding the psychology of the illness, I realise that my job is not a 9-5 one !! My help may be needed at any time of the day or night and I will always endeavour to be available.
