For over 15 years, Microsoft Word has been at the center of my personal and business related tasks.

I have worked with Microsoft Word in under countless different situations wearing many different hats:
Power User
A regular user of an Office program is likely to use only about 10% of the functionality offered by the program, because the task being undertaken tend to be similar and routine. My experience with the product is somewhat different because I have been asked to assist in areas that I may have not used otherwise.
Combine this with numerous product certifications, and there are very few situations I haven't seen. This allows me to not only understand what features are available in the product, but which one(s) are appropriate for achieving different results.
Developer
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computing Science from a well-recognized Canadian university. This has given me the foundation to understand how computers and software works "behind-the-scenes", and how to manipulate it to meet my needs. In addition, I am very comfortable with custom development within the Office suite of programs. Sometimes a problem is better dealt with by code!
Consultant
I have been a technical and business consultant for large organizations, small organizations, and individuals. One thing never changes - the importance of seeking to understand before being understood. One thing you'll quickly realize is that I have no problem asking questions to get to the root of the problem. I also understand that working with technology is sometimes frustrating, and can help overcome this through a proven logical problem solving process.
Trainer
Over the course of my journey, I've had numerous requests to come and train a group of people on a given product. I find this rewarding and so do most of my students (I hope!). Sometimes people just want to know the answer to the immediate problem, which is fine with me. But showing that same person how to do this for themselves in the future is one way I add value.
