My name is Jacob Salomons and for 22 Years I have been the sole Instructor of Classical Guitar at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Canada. I can help with all aspects of guitar playing whether you have problems with a certain aspect of technique, problems with nails and tone production, with the interpretation of music as well as selection of an instrument. I welcome players at all levels of development.

Training

I have studied extensively with Venezuelan guitarist Alirio Diaz both at the Banff Center for Fine Arts - Banff, Canada and in Arles, France.

I have also studied with the legendary Italian guitarist Oscar Ghiglia (10 summers at the Banff Center and 1 full year at Musik Akademie der Stadt Basel in Basel, Switzerland.

I have been on the faculty of the

Department of Music at the University of Calgary Calgary Canada
