“A Setback Is A Setup For A Comeback”
Greetings One and All ....
I had prepared a completely different topic to discuss with you today and changed at the last minute after speaking with a dear friend of mine.
We were discussing troubles she was having in a relationship and how difficult it is when life throws you curve balls. She mentioned that she told her partner who was down on himself what she had learned from her Pastor a while back: “A setback is a setup for a comeback.”
I was immediately struck by the positivity of this simple sentence. It embodied in its simplicity much of what I've learned about reversing a negative trend into a positive one.
Even the most spiritually aware person has their moments of doubt or troubled times. We must recognize troubling times as the edge of clarity, like the dark before dawn. When we recognize negativity for what it is and embrace it through understanding, we can then release it harmlessly.
Setbacks happen. From the metaphysical standpoint, they are gifts disguised as troubles. Each bout with a setback helps to build our character and teach us more about ourselves and the world in which we live. What matters most is how we handle it.
A person focused in positivity will take a setback in stride, rather than panic and feed into the negative trend. They will understand the mechanics of the lower mind and the resultant 'mind clatter' that comes with it during a negative trend. And, they have a firm understanding that negative setbacks serve to pave the way to produce positive results – the 'comeback'.
Here are some tips on how best to handle negative trends in your life:
When you encounter a negative trend in your life, avoid going around telling everyone that you are having such a difficult time of it.
Because you only fuel the fire under the negative trend by 'buying' further into it. Talking about a present negative trend gives it more life and seals it into your subconscious mind. Also, each person you tell will reflect it back to you psychically without realizing it.
It is far better to discuss your negative trend with a close friend who is based in positivity or with your Metaphysical Minister or Pastoral Counselor.
Don't buy into the “God Doesn't Care” thought process, or even worse, that you are being punished for some reason. Neither statement is true and only serve to prolong the negative trend.
Expose yourself to as much positivity as you possibly can, as this will help your 'comeback' to happen a lot quicker.
Meditate often. Or, if you rather ... contemplate on a topic that you find soothing or interesting.
Remember .... You are a child of the Universe.
Practice the Presence of the Divine True Source in your life every waking moment. Practice Being. Practice Positivity.
And, lastly, keep this powerful sentence close at heart ...”A Setback is a Setup for a Comeback.” Don't let the turkeys get you down!
