Messages From The Light

The Answer is, Always has been, and Always will be: LOVE.
Never Underestimate the Power of your Good Deeds
You are a Powerful Being of Light.

A kind word,
A smile in the grocery store,
A donation to the local animal shelter.

It takes one moment, and it lights up a world that sometimes feels like such a dark place.

You are not creating the light that lights up the world.

You are a Being of Light.
The light is within.
Let it shine.

Strangers have changed my life,
Changed my path,
Even, changed me.

The man who pulled over to share his cell phone and a cigarette when my car caught on fire on the LA freeway.
The Tarot reader who took all my calls when I was very suddenly dumped.
The woman who offered me a cool drink, a warm hug, and a prayer when she saw me tearfully scattering ashes my grandmother's ashes....alone.

I will never see any of these people again. I only got to thank them once.
They probably do not even remember me.
And I am sure they do not have any idea what an impact they made of my life.

Each one shined their light for me when all I could see was darkness.

And even more than that,
They reaffirmed my faith in the goodness humanity.
And that is a very powerful thing....
Because it made me want to do more good by others.

You are a powerful being,
Your are a being of spirit,
You are a being of light...
Shine.

Sometimes, being the one who needs the help is the real higher calling. If we do not give people a chance to help us, hold us, pray for us....how do they ever figure out how good they really are? What good they are capable of? We are here to learn to do good. So, who are the real teachers?
You are so much stronger than you know. Love you!

Again, your wisdom shines through Madea.  Embracing our own vulnerability and limitations can be very empowering.

Being humble enough to accept assistance from another is a major life lesson.

I totally believe that we all need each other now and again. With being a reader doesn't mean we can read ourselves or that we aren't human. We need that special touch, that special saying sometimes also. That stranger that gives you a smile when you are having a terrible day reminding you that the light shines in all of us and God is all around. When you have a chance, just count your blessings and be grateful for what you do have and help people along the way that is all we can do to make this world a better place. A smile, a kind word, a kind act goes a very long way and will always be remembered. Very good post. I just love it.

HeavenCalls, sometimes I think thats the way Universe wants it, for us not to read ourselves, but, to reach out to another for guidance and insight. Its important to be on both sides, to give another a chance to inspire us, also. I agree, absolutely count your blessings, its so important. Thank you for your kind comments. Many Blessings, Michelle

Dear Madea,

I just had to comment here because when I read the title of  your blog it reminded me of a conversation I had with my son when he was just a little boy.  He was asking me how he could be a more spiritual person, and I recall this like it was yesterday.

I said to him that, 'when he saw an elderly person in the grocery store, for example, to give them a smile and say 'hello', because that might be the only smile they receive all day long', and, also, to help where needed without being asked.  Those are the qualities I tried to instill in my children.  That is my idea of 'being spiritual'.

Memories, and a beautiful blog.  Thanks for posting.  ~  D

And most importantly, we are all THE ONE.  Every living thing is only ONE.

Dianna, I like the guidance you gave your son. There is a lot of truth in what you say. What a great world, full of children raised with such wisdom....I would like to live in that world. Maybe we will someday. Someday soon :) Blessings ~Michelle

Dear Madea:

This is such a wonderful blog.  It made my heart lighter and I know it has touched many souls.  Kindness matters and being kind takes such a little effort and you never know who's heart will benefit for the simple act of a smile.
