Remember, the storm is a good opportunity for the pine and the cypress to show their strength and their stability. Ho Chi Minh
There is a comfort in rituals, and rituals provide a framework for stability when you are trying to find answers. Deborah Norville
In the comfort of our day, we try to find a way, to live without change a way to stay, in the midst of peace, knowing we can release to stability and peace, the hope we need, the thoughts, the seeds. Of joy – deborahmills ( c)
I don’t drink coffee. Yet I am told that brewed coffee is better than instant coffee. In our lives of high speed internet, cell phones attached to our hip, we tend to forget good things come to those who wait on the Divine. Stability in our fast- paced, rat race lives is the key to peace, and serenity. Steps to stability : 1. Daily rituals. When all else around us is falling apart, in storms, chaos swirling around like a tornado, our daily spiritual, exercise, food, rituals help us gain control over our chaotic emotions. 2. When a bump in the road happens, don’t give up. When Problems arise, these issues give us the way to make the dream work rather than saying “its’ time to give up.” Being stable, solid in continuing to the dream is the key. 3. If we are feeling restless, agitated. Sit down, fold hands together, sit sill, breath deep breaths in and out, being rooted and grounded to our place on the path we are right now. ( If warm, do this outside with bare feet, feet planted on Mother Earth, and if even more possible, back against a hard-wood tree ) 4. Stop, Think, edit our thoughts ,words and actions, think again, edit, stop, think for the 3rd time, then decide if a movement is necessary. 5. Talk to an elder. Those of us who in our 50s, 60, 70s, we may not like to hear their stories, or listen to their ways, or past, yet most elders have been there, done that , and got the t-shirt 2 times. The elders just might have insight, know a thing or two to help us. And then Dream. Dream on, Dream Big. Dream .
Animal totems : Elephant : In sister elephant’s tribe, the Grandmother, the matriarch, is the leader. Their memory is awesome, and their faithfulness to the same path, the same rituals, led by the elder grandmother, year after year, day after day, is amazing. Her totem reminds us that we need stability, faithfulness, even in adversity while her medicine reminds us that following our path will bring us to love, and hope.
