Introduction:

With summer approaching an expeditious end, I thought it would be a good time to go over the different astrological events that will be forthcoming between now and the end of Fall. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back, and so comes the shorter days ahead, but with the longer nights imminent, there are a lot of astrological events to look forward to, which will be able to create a stronger stance of balance, especially in terms of finances and career, with a few that will have a more direct effect in terms of love and relationships, if positions of change can be properly prepared for.

The entirety of this article is a bit lengthy, so I have broken it up into parts, which will correspond the dates as well as the placement of the planets. My intention is writing this is to shed some light on some of the more challenging aspects of the astrological shifts ahead through change, by virtue of seeing the truth before our eyes, is upon us in the Zodiac and that this article will properly outline these challenges, giving an easier trajectory to follow as we prepare to spend time with family and loved ones during the last stretch of the year.

There are always contradictory positions in astrology, which is part of how the Universe keeps itself balanced, and so the entirety of what is occurring at any given time, between two or more planets, will provide stronger insight into the events that would be deemed contradictory. For example, Venus in Libra will have a contrary stance to the Sun in Scorpio, which can cause balance between these two sets of positions.

For those that find change to be easy, and can navigate transformative events in life with a steady wind through their sails, the end of the year will prove to be very easy for you, but for anyone that resists change, detests it, and finds it to be disruptive, then you will be in for a bumpy ride. Planning for such events, though, can help with what can be expected, and it can help to clear the air, causing a more tranquil flow of energy, as you move downstream.

The Sun in Libra & the Autumn Equinox:

On Saturday, September 22nd, 2019 at 9:54 PM EST, with the Sun in Libra, the Autumn Equinox will begin. In astrology, this is indicative of the positions that we create for ourselves to harvest the fruits of seeds planted months ago, during the Spring Equinox. This is the start of fall, when the nights grow longer, and sets up up for personal reflection, balance, and tranquility that stems from the understanding of our initiatives that have been able to reach their fullest fruition. When these initiatives haven’t been met in the ways that we need, taking a step back to understand that which we must do to satiate this position is able to help with how we are able to find ourselves creating a stronger course of action throughout the end of the year. For some, the shortened days of fall are able to yield a better initiative for carrying out goals and resetting the board for ourselves to find the greater achievements that we aspire for in life.

The Sun’s trajectory through Libra is a magnetic time in the Zodiac, as it creates a stance of balance and an understanding for polarity in energy between people, concepts, ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc. In the Tarot, the Justice card is the position of Libra, not only because of its balance, but because of the necessary position in the hierarchies of mankind that have been present since the beginning of human existence. As many of you know, the tarot is a pictorial representation of these hierarchies, and show the positions of life that are able to have the greater influence over our lives. Where recent past influences over Libra have served to decimate this position in the hierarchy, this Libra season will be working diligently to rectify these positions, due to Venus’ Retrograde in Scorpio, Mars in Aquarius, and Jupiter in Scorpio (which I have often referred to as Scorpio’s revenge). This will be the last hurrah for the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements, before they decide to make a complete jump into the consciousness of society, with repercussions from these positions that will be felt for years to come.

Libra tends to be a positive time for air and fire signs, especially for Aries, Leo, Libra, and Gemini. For Sagittarian and Aquarian individuals, this can pull toward a longing for wanting instant gratification, especially with Sagittarius’ position for searching for truth and Aquarius’ position for noticing unfairness, both in terms of what is noticed in the scope of what justice is. With some of the more major shifts that are occurring in what justice is, complications can be felt. Understanding that society does  bend toward justice is able to provide some semblance of hope, in terms of how this is able to be overcame. Individuals with Taurus as their Sun Sign can feel a lack of groundedness as the leaves fall, if there aren’t proper measures in place for creating a more grounded position. Capricorn and Virgo tend to do well in the fall and winter months, though, especially when they are both able to do the things they most enjoy.

Moon Astrology:

As is the rule, wherever the Sun is in the Zodiac, that is where the Moon will be new (dark). The full moon will always be in the opposite sign of the Sun’s placement in the respective Zodiac sign. During The Sun in Libra, the New Moon will be in Libra and the Full Moon will be in Aries, as Aries is its opposite of Libra on the Astrological Wheel. Both of these energies are in fair contrast to each other, as they are part of the balance of the Zodiac in their most virtuous dualities, which will be explained, below.

In the Tarot, the Moon represents the nature of deepened emotions and also shows a clear passage through that which is unenlightened, in order to bring light to any given situation, on the other side of it. This also corresponds to the nature of manifestation which is best brought forward during the New Moon, giving way to the fruition of the manifestation during the course of the Full Moon.

Full Moon in Aries:

On September 24th. 2018 at 7:03 PM EST, the Full Moon will be in Aries, which is a wonderful time, while in Libra, to bring the fullest realizations of manifestation forward from what we have  brought to the table from the end of the summer. For many people that have the Moon in Aries, there is a capacity for a higher understanding of the occult, divination, mysticism, and other such subjects. This is also an especially creative energy for musicians, artists, and performers. For others, especially those that have their Sun Sign in an Earth Sign, this can create fortitude for business, as the Moon in Aries can create a stance for an individual to become a natural born leader and provides an understanding for being able to see that which is difficult to be sign by others, especially in terms of financial forecasting, business hurdles, and even challenges that may arise with employees, CEOs, and other mechanisms of business. This provides a stance for overcome such hurdles by careful planning and quick maneuvering.

The Moon in Aries can be quite vibrant, exhilaratingly brash, and evenly moody. As a Gemini whose Moon sign is in Aries, I am very much aware of the pull of energy that is able to exist with this all too often incompatible duo astrologically. This has a fiery burst of fortitude that is put out by obstacles, struggles, but also by creating difficult transformations that, if defied, only stand to create disharmony, especially during the New Moon in Aries. But with the Full Moon in Aries, this creates a powerful position in the Zodiac for people born with an Aries Moon, that ignites creativity, fortitude, and an uncanny ability to see the creation that exists just beyond the barriers of destruction.

For argument's sake, in this example, we will use the Moon card, in Tarot, as being representative of the Moon in the our sky. The generally accepted standard of this is for the Moon card to represent Pisces, but this is part of a bigger body of work that I will be putting out, which will explain this as a fallacy. That doesn't mean that one is more correct over the other, but the Moon card is associated with the elements of the subconscious mind, which is very indicative of the energies of the Moon and its symbolism throughout history. In the "Thoth" deck, the Moon is described as "the passage of darkness that must be traveled through, in order to see the light."

The Emperor card represents Aries, which represents conquest, strife, and ultimate victory. This is where the path for someone with the Moon in Aries follows this flow of energy through their emotions, as described by the Emperor card.  In taking the meanings of the Moon card, especially with the implications of a difficult time ahead that is most necessary ("the passage of darkness that must be traveled through") for creating strength and fortitude (“in order to see the light") and looking at the nature of conquest, strife, and victory all wrapped up into one card, the Moon  card would represent the strife. This is where creativity and ambition don't always meet eye to eye, and about half the time, ambition will be greater than the creativity involved and the other half would be a world's worth of creativity with no ambition to carry it out. This is where it is easy to see the nature of balance that exists in the Universe, even if the balance isn't always in an evenly distributed way. The nature of the Full Moon in Aries will provide an energy that is able to come across as aggressive.

Aries Sun Signs will have a much better position of forwardness during this period, as this is able to help to create a greater initiative from the subconscious, which will dictate the Aries emotions,  thus creating fortitude of their actions. Sun in Libra individuals, however, will find things to be far more difficult, because of the uneven balance that is able to be felt, but as things start to move away from this position, Libras will begin to strengthen their resolve for seeing, much more clearly, the balance that is able to bring their more virtuous stances. Taking precautions, and being consciously aware of this energy, though, can certainly help to hone in on the difficulties that are able to be created by this, but not dwelling on this as a negative stance is also something that should be taken into consideration.

For everyone, the Moon in Aries is able to create energy that feeds into restlessness, but finding ways to relax while still being active, will be helpful during this time period. For work, it is easy to  see creative positions jumping from one idea to another, where it can be more challenging to focus. When dealing with everyone from friends to family, from spouses to coworkers, tempers can swell and explode quickly, because of impetuous actions that can seem to offend, even if no offense was meant. Taking the time to be mindful for how to care about how one's actions will affect someone else, will be very important for the ways that this will come forward to a more positive stance.

New Moon in Libra:

On October 7th at 9:10 PM EST, the New Moon will be in Libra, which is determined in the Tarot by the two of swords. In the Minor Arcana, this is the closest position that is shown, pictorially, to Justice. It typically depicts the position of a woman with her back to the crescent moon and the ocean, with two swords crossed in front of her, while being blindfolded. Not only does this represent the blindness of justice, but it also shows the disposition of peace and tranquility that is able to be emanated from within.

Be cautious, during this time, not to allow intellect to be suppressed due to positions of love. Both can find balance, and often times, love is able to create positions for us that allow us to think with our hearts as opposed to our minds, creating regret. This is the challenge that is able to come forward from the Moon in Libra, but when we allow ourselves to feel a stance that creates positions of openness for both sides of the scales, it is much easier to see these positions in a clearer capacity.

The New Moon in Libra is a great time for pondering the positions that have been able to occur during the Sun in Libra, and far too often, this holds true, because of some of the eventual positions that are able to be forthcoming. When this introspection is gained, especially in terms of what we see occurring on a societal scale, we are able to gain insights as to where true justice is able to emerge from. Understanding the ways that we can move forward, without holding anything under will, can create a greater stance for how we are able to feel love more vibrantly and understand the plights of others, especially in terms of how we can impact the world through something as simple as a vote at the polls.

For people with the Sun in Aries, this will be able to create a more subdued energy. Water signs will be able to find more balance, thus creating a position for being able to contend with the impending holiday season. This can create a stance for looking forward to what the end of the year will bring, but it is also able to develop a stance for communicating emotions that may come across, to others, as difficult.

Mercury Astrology:

Mercury is the fastest traveler through the Zodiac, and can create a steady flow of energy or promote upheaval and discourse, especially when in retrograde. In the Tarot, Mercury is represented by the Magician card, and represents the light and dark side of this Planet through the meaning of the card. Right side up, this card shows the light side of traits most found in Gemini and Virgo and reversed, is able to show nefariousness, lies, deceit, etc. Also known as “the Trickster,” when this card is reversed, it can show what is about to happen when Mercury goes into retrograde one of three times each year.

Mercury in Libra:

On September 21, 2018 at 11:40 PM EST, Mercury will move out of Virgo and into Libra, where it will stay until October 9, 2018 at 8:40 PM EST. During this time, with the position of the Sun in Libra, this will create a feasibility in communication throughout each Sun sign in the Zodiac, meaning that no matter who you are, past tensions will be easy to be resolved and can create positions of forgiveness for past transgressions, openness to others’ thoughts and ideas, and allow for more meaningful conversations to occur. This tends to be a very diplomatic time in the Zodiac, and can allow for thoughtfulness to reign over disagreement and strife.

Libra tends to embody a natural ability to lean toward peacemaking, and is the resolver of disagreement. This is an excellent time for furthering the development of friends and family, but can also allow a greater position to emerge for romantic relationships. Virgos, Libras, and Scorpios are the only three Sun Signs that would be able to have Mercury in Libra, but for all three of them, this can create lighthearted and open-minded communication, which can magnify their greatest strengths.

This combination in the Zodiac is portrayed in the Tarot with the Justice card and the Magician, which creates balance through communication. The position of the Magician in the Tarot is Mercury, and when there is no retrograde of Mercury, the “trickster” magician is shadowed, thus leaving a resolve for harkening stability, especially by means of communication. As the manifester of the archetypes in the Tarot, it is the Magician’s position to speak. While being in Libra, this can create a stronger understanding for the importance of words and can deeply show the impact that words can have to hinder or help an individual, group, society, or even the world.

Mercury in Scorpio:

On October 9, 2018 at 8:40 PM EST, Mercury will move from Libra and into Scorpio, which gives the ability to see that the only way to move forward is by engaging with ensuing darkness, which can only be defeated by traveling through its tunnel and coming out, preferably unscathed, on the other side. This position in the Zodiac is able to create misunderstandings by virtue of thoughts, ideas, or even statements of fact that are able to emerge, with a lack of belief for said thoughts, ideas, or statements. This can create challenges, especially for Scorpios, when it comes to striving to convey the positions that are near and dear to their hearts.

The only Sun signs that will have Mercury in Scorpio are Libras, Scorpios, and Sagiattarian individuals. For Libras, it is much easier to find a balanced position, because of the courtesy that Mercury will always play to an air sign over water and fire signs. Conveying thoughts and ideas, although will be questioned, aren’t such that they will be disbelieved after a certain measure of thought emerges.

For Scorpios, this reminds me of Cassandra, in Greek Mythology, who was blessed with the gift of sight, to always know the future, but was cursed such that no one believed her. Persistence is the greatest way to overcome this position, and to state elements of what needs to be said, in such a way that it adheres to the way that a person receiving the information would perceive the information themselves. This can be very challenging, and is such that Scorpios in all their mystery are able to find it to be easier to understand other people, which can certainly be a blessing for overcoming such a stance.

For Sagittarian people, their resolve is to seek out their truth and to understand the world and Universe in such a way that it allows them to find connections between society. This makes the position of Mercury in Scorpio less stark, but it can create a nature of indecision for a Sagittarian individual, with the sense that they are dealt the short end of the stick. Remembering that choosing not to choose is still a decision can be a daunting task for a Sagittarian individual, but understanding this energy can help to overcome obstacles that would otherwise emerge.

Mercury in Sagittarius:

On October 31st, 2018 at 12:40 AM EST, Mercury will move into Sagittarius, which is shown in the Tarot with the eight of wands. Scorpios, Sagittarians, and Capricorns are the only three Sun SIgns that possess Mercury in Sagittarius and can affect all three of them in completely different ways. This is a swift action of forwardness, without a resolve for thoughtfulness, which can add an even deeper indecisive energy to a Sagittarian individual’s disposition. This is a position of strength, but it is also able to create challenges, when it comes to forgetting that sometimes you have to look back a ways to see where you have been. Otherwise, it is too easy to get lost. This tends to be a very scattered energy and create hindrances in written and verbal communication. This doesn’t necessarily lead to misunderstandings of information, but rather, can create misconceptions about the individual that possesses Mercury in Sagittarius.

For Scorpio members of the Zodiac, this energy is able to create more outgoingness, thus enabling a stance of fortitude, as it relates to Scorpio, allowing them to let those closest to them to see some of the more deeply hidden aspects of themselves. For those that don’t take the time to properly respect a Scorpio individual, because of preconceived notions, this is able to destabilize the positions that they need, thus creating tension, which can ramp up while Mercury is in Sagittarius.

For Capricorns, this energy is able to emerge in a very individualistic way. This is able to create elements of openness for themselves, especially when it comes to the projects that they most desire doing, whether it is parenting, working, or artistic endeavors. Mercury in Sagittarius can be a most merciful position for these individuals, and can allow for creative endeavors to take shape in a faster way, with a resolve for achieving perfection. This is met with a desire for instant gratification, and can serve as a driving force for enacting such endeavors.

Mercury in Retrograde:

Mercury in Scorpio and Mercury in Sagittarius, both, will be felt in two different ways three times this year, two times with a direct energy and once while Mercury is in retrograde for the third and final time this year. Deeper misunderstandings, arguments, and communication aren’t the only things impacted by Mercury’s retrograde. Travel plans, flight delays, technological mishaps, and other such things as credit card fraud and identity theft can occur.

On November 16th, 2018 at 9:33 PM EST, Mercury will start its stance to go into retrograde (just in time for Thanksgiving). This can actually stabilize individuals that already have Mercury in Retrograde in Sagittarius, but can certainly wreak havoc for everyone else, especially in terms of how stress is dealt with. “Cooler heads always prevail” would be a great motto to take on while this is able to occur.

On December 1st, 2018 at 7:40 AM EST, Mercury will continue its retrograde and will move from Sagittarius to Scorpio, creating a sudden shift when it comes to how people are able to deal with each other, especially when misunderstandings are prevalent. This will still disrupt travel plans, but in a lesser way, but will lead to challenges when it comes to stolen credit cards, identity theft, etc., so do be careful with what you do with your online information over this course of time. Fortunately, this energy will only last for a bit less than 6 days, before Mercury will move direct again on December 6th, 2018 at 5:21 PM EST through Scorpio, at which point it will shift back into Sagittarius on December 11th, 2018 at 9:42 PM EST.

Venus Astrology:

Venus, the ruler of Libra and Taurus, has the capacity for bringing beauty to the equation, in a most materialistic sense (Venus will be discussed in further detail, below). It is earthly beauty that Venus corresponds to, as it rules both Libra and Taurus. During the first part of the Sun in Libra, Venus will continue its shadow period, where it appears to be still in the sky (a shadow period is a position that takes hold of a planet before it begins a retrograde/direct period). Venus plays favor to more financially driven matters to Taurus, especially when it comes to success in business and can, oftentimes, create love that is felt in more superficial capacities.

In the Tarot, Venus is represented by the Empress card, which provides the balance to the Emperor. The Empress holds both measures of earthly beauty and superficiality, but also understands the importance of the nature of love, which is able to create the greater degree of openness that can otherwise be thwarted by Mars and Saturn.

Venus in Scorpio:

Venus is in Scorpio! While in this stance, it is not wise to make final decisions when it comes to relationships, and is also such that understanding what we want, before making any decisions, could lead to regret, if decisions are made too hastily. In the Tarot Venus in Scorpio is the seven of cups, which can create, on the surface, a clear understanding of what we want, until we realize that we should have been careful for what we wished for. This can lead to quick decisions to hold back that which we really want, because we don’t recognize that it is not only what we want, it is also what we need. If we reach for something in a more outward way during this time, its permanence is far from guaranteed, as it is such that for as quickly as we reached out for it, we throw it across the room in contempt. Taurus individuals will find a more challenging capacity for understanding the path of love during this time, as well as Scorpios, many of which will be intertwined with each other.

Venus in Scorpio in Retrograde:

On October 5th, 2018 at 3:04 PM EST, Venus will move into its retrograde position through Scorpio where it will appear to move backwards in the sky. This is when it will be easier to make these final decisions, as the retrograde motion of Venus will create a less superficial disposition, thus creating a more tangible position that will help us to understand the greater mechanism for what we do need. This position is able to create a greater degree of splendor, when it comes to how we are able to more plainly see that which we want to obtain. This will provide a very wonderful time for Taurus and Scorpio Sun Signs, especially those that are involved romantically with each other.

Venus in Libra in Retrograde:

On October 31st, 2018 at 3:46 PM EST, Venus will enter into Libra and will continue its retrograde approach until November 16th, 2018. During this time, Venus, as the ruling Planet of Libra can create a more superficial stance when it comes to love, unlike the position that negates superficiality when Venus goes through Scorpio in its retrograde. This will, once again, be a time when decisions won’t want to be made hastily, especially in terms of superficiality, as this is able to create a quick snap to boredom, thus creating challenges when it comes to love. During normal circumstances, when Venus moves through Libra, this is all about the emotion of love, which strips away the nature of superficiality, but this can prove to be all the more difficult when the retrograde occurs. Dates picked up at the Halloween party, although may seem fun and charming in costume, can be revealed as just the opposite, especially when the sun comes up the next day.

Venus in Libra Direct:

On November 16th, 2018 at 6:51 AM EST, Venus will move direct through Libra thus creating the more normal circumstance for this position that I mentioned above. This is the proverbial sun rising, revealing the truth about the fictitious Halloween date, but all joking aside, this is something that should be absolutely avoided, because of the pain that it will be able to create, and the hot and cold positions that will be able to emerge, once Venus returns to Scorpio.

Venus in Scorpio Direct (Take-Two):

Venus will move back into Scorpio on December 2nd, 2018 at 12:54 PM EST. It will move throughout Scorpio until January 7th, 2019 at 7:17 AM EST, at which point it will enter into Sagittarius (which I will be writing about in my next quarterly astrological article). During this time, the Halloween date that was dumped will be yearned for once again, because of the more superficial standing that this is able to create, so please do utilize caution, so as not to have your heart broken and so that you can keep someone else’s heart from being broken.

Mars Astrology:

Mars, although symbolizes war, is the “Warrior” of the Zodiac, and represents the nature of action that stems from desire. Representing the potency when it comes to human survival, Mars dictates how we handle our “fight or flight” response. As the “Warrior,” Mars is able to create a stance of forwardness, especially when trying to overcome obstacles, but Mars has its own set of rules that it plays by.

Mars in Aquarius:

On September 10th, 2018 at 8:53 PM EST, Mars moved into Aquarius for the second time this year. This can be a very challenging energy, because of the position of indifference that it is able to create. It will remain in Aquarius until November 15th, 2018 at 10:20 PM, at which point it will enter into Pisces.

The “water bearer” sign tends to follow the trajectory of a theologian that fights for humanitarian causes, and so with the Warrior Planet moving retrograde through this position, it is able to bring an understanding for what the path of peace will entail, along with an ability for being noble in fighting for what’s right. This will be the shift of focus that will come forward over this time in the news and media, and will affect the world at large. But this is also a time for people with Mars in Aquarius in their sign to get more enjoyment out of life and to see that which is good in the world.

The position of Mars in Aquarius will be a good time to start relationships that are based on romance, but do be careful in starting relationships that are contingent on attraction, as this will not last long. Mars in Aquarius holds no patience for superficiality, which is part of how it is able to create such change and bring things to light that one might deem unjust over this course of time. This can prove to be a challenging time for Water Signs.

In the Tarot, Mars is represented by the Tower card, which on its surface shows destruction, but Mars can also be the position that rebuilds the Tower from its position of devastation. Aquarius is shown with the Star Card, and shows the clear vision of the direction that one should go in their path, but with this pairing Mars creates a positive fortitude, even though it can create hindrances for individuals with the Sun in Aquarius. Such individuals might find themselves pulling away, because of a stance of indifference. Because it is so easy for a member of Aquarius to find such fortitude for themselves an obstruction like Mars traveling through its path can diminish the position of fortitude that would otherwise be created.

Mars in Pisces:

On November 15th, 2018 at 6:20 PM EST, Mars will move through Pisces, which is, arguably, one of the most benevolent positions in the Zodiac, in terms of empathy, compassion, and understanding. But it is able to use rather unorthodox means to create this stance of empathy. People entering into a relationship during this course of time will find their relationships being long-lasting with a sense of love that is almost too much to bear. This is Mars’ final position before entering into the sign of the Zodiac that it rules, Aries.

Mars in Pisces is described in the Tarot with the ten of cups, and shows the nature of contentment, satiety, and happiness that is able to derive from love. Full disclosure must be made between two people that meet during this time, to begin a romantic nature, but honesty will win the war. Being open and honest about one’s past to one’s partner and expecting the same in return, is where this nature of full disclosure is able to create this greater position of contentment, and it is able to serve as a means for stabilizing the foundation of the relationship that is able to form. Because this position will be forming during Scorpio, this will enable complementing positions (more than opposites) of the Zodiac to find themselves creating strong and long standing relationships with each other. For example, Aquarius and Gemini, Taurus and Virgo, or Cancer and Pisces individuals are able to find this to be a more prominent time for joining together in greater romantic relationships.

On December 31st, 2018 at 10:19 PM, Mars will move into Aries, which I will write about in my next quarterly astrological article.

Jupiter Astrology:

Jupiter, the “Greater Benefic,” serves the purpose of bringing truth to light, where it has a karmic disposition for shifting principles and thoughts of society, in order to pave the way for new endeavors. Venus, the “Lesser Benefic” is able to bring a stance of materialism and superficiality or love that exists outside of the confines of more worldly positions. As such, Venus rules Taurus and Libra whereas Jupiter rules Sagittarius. In the Tarot, Jupiter is the Wheel of Fortune card,

Jupiter enables each sign in the Zodiac, as it passes through, the ability for it to overcome its primary obstacle.Where Sagittarian individuals search for truth, Scorpio is encumbered with mystery, Jupiter’s resolve is to reveal the secrets of what that mystery truly is. Although Jupiter isn’t nearly as karmic of a Planet as Saturn is, do right by Jupiter and it will do right by you.

Jupiter in Scorpio Winding Down/Jupiter in Sagittarius:

Jupiter is currently in Scorpio and will remain until it shifts positions into Sagittarius on November 8th, 2018 at 8:38 AM EST. The position of Jupiter during this time has been rather complicated, especially in the ways that it has impacted established businesses, foreign entities, as well as shifting global consciousness to the point that it needs to have, in order to achieve a stronger position for seeing how various shifts in the world are taking hold. Jupiter in Scorpio was “Scorpio’s revenge,” where the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements occurred under this astrological position and will continue to make their marks on society, even once the energy of Jupiter in Scorpio subsides.

Jupiter in Sagittarius can be seen as “Sagittarius’s truth.” On November 8th, 2018 at 8:38 AM EST, Jupiter will move into its domicile, the Zodiac Sign that it rules, Sagittarius. This can be seen as “Sagittarius’s Truth,” as this will reveal the greater aspects of society that have been diminished, leading a course of action that will help to rectify this position to conform with the will of the Universe. For the next nearly 13 months, while Jupiter is in Sagittarius, this will create a stance of openness when it comes to thoughts and ideas that stand to promote the truth, where validity in positions will be seen in ways that would have struggled with the truth for the last couple of years. Jupiter in Sagittarius raises levels of empathy in societies and individuals, both, and creates strong positions for striving to achieve positions that are just and fair. This energy will last until December 2nd, 2019, at which point Jupiter will enter into Capricorn, where change and transformation is eminent.

Saturn Astrology:

Saturn, the most karmic Planet, has been on its path through Capricorn since December 5th, 2017. Saturn is able to create entropy by virtue of carrying itself with an uncanny ability to bestow limitations and restrictions on the confines of what society is able to become. If individuals and societies find it to be a struggle to adhere to what is right (in terms of what the Universe’s will is, astrologically), then it is able to create repercussions by the end of the given cycle that it is in. This can create upheaval if historical positions of tradition aren’t followed, especially for those trying to break the barriers, as such. Saturn can be a benevolent placement if such predetermined situations are adhered to, but if there is a resolve for intention to break the boundaries of law and order, this can be most difficult.

In the Tarot, it is the Devil card that represents the nature of Capricorn, not because it is evil, but rather, because of the common understanding of the archetypes as Capricorn having a sway toward earthly positions that can include materialism, but also lacks a focus in spirituality, unless there is a conscious effort to do so. Pride tends to be a position of Capricorn individuals, especially when it comes to their own work, hobbies, artistic endeavors, and family.

Saturn in Capricorn in Retrograde:

As of September 5th, 2018 at 7:08 AM EST, Saturn moved from a retrograde position in Capricorn, and began to go direct. This course will continue until it will reach a retrograde position again on April 28th, 2019 at 8:54 PM EST. Saturn is the ruling Planet of Capricorn, therefore is in its domicile. This position focuses on the patriarchal positions of society, but also restricts forward momentum for us, until we are willing to learn the lessons of this karmic planet, without an expectation for gaining anything in return. It is currently operating with a brutal strength, which can be felt in business sectors and more materialistic positions of life. Saturn will remain in Capricorn, retrogrades and all, until December 17th, 2020.

Uranus Astrology:

Uranus forces us to expect that which is unexpected. When in retrograde, these changes can be a little easier to manage, which makes some of the other elements of what is occurring astrologically a bit less daunting to contend with. Group settings are able to find a strengthened resolve for success during the retrograde motion of Uranus, especially because of the various personalities within a group that could influence other elements of it in what could only be deemed in an unexpected way. In the Tarot, this card is represented by the Fool, and represents the consciousness that began with the first person, expanding itself throughout society and culture. It’s resolve is to constantly move forward, and so when in retrograde, it is able to diminish its position.

Uranus' influence is the epitome of "expect the unexpected." Regardless of the direction of Uranus' transit, we must navigate the sudden changes that get thrown out. Some of us thrive on routine and consistency, and when Uranus has game, we feel like we're thrown into a proverbial blender. The sudden changes are actually subdued somewhat while Uranus' transit is retrograde. The period of Uranus retrograde allows us chance to think a little about our reaction to changes. It also gives us a chance to rethink and organize our need for change. Many groups formed while Uranus is direct, actually find more structure and organization after Uranus has begun retrograde motion.

Uranus in Aries, Take-Two:

Since August 7th, 2018 at 12:49 PM EST, Uranus has been moving in retrograde through Taurus, which has been able to create a challenged stance in terms of what we can expect with financial entities, corporations, insurance companies, etc.. But on November 6th, 2018 at 2:59 PM EST, Uranus will move from Taurus and back into Aries, which is a placement that it has carried for the last few years. Before this, Uranus has been in Aries off and on since May 27th, 2010. Uranus in Uranus in Aries is able to create positions of unpredictability, which create challenges if on is not mindful of their own stubbornness, but this is also where individuals that are given power can create false narratives that are blindly believed.

Before this stretch, the last time that Uranus was in Aries was from 1927-1935, thus creating a breeding ground for mechanisms of dishonesty, fear, uncertainty, and doubt. When Uranus in Aries, extra care must be taken, so as not to be so stubborn that the truth of a situation is failed to be seen. This can created complicated situation, when it comes to how societies handle science, politics, and everything in between. Open-mindedness proves to be a strong ally for individuals throughout such opportunities for discord. Major turning points in societies tend to happen while Uranus is in Aries, and so being prepared for these unexpected turns will be prudent during this time.

The retrograde of Uranus tends to negate the above effects, but only to a degree. Still using a stance of optimism and mindfulness, as well as applying the Golden Rule to others during this time is able to provide smooth winds for Uranus’s sails as it moves through Aries. This will move in retrograde until January 6th, 2019.

Introduction:

A motto I have often taken for myself is “there is nobody I would rather be, than me.” This, I am certain, to many, could be construed as a conceited statement, but this adage has allowed me to realize the benefits of loving myself in such a way that it has allowed me to realize my value and worth, without which, I am very certain, others would fail to see the value of myself as a human being. We all have value and for some of us, that is easier to find within ourselves, but if we know where to look, we will find the base of the ladder, using it to climb our way to a significant understanding for who we are and who we are meant to become. Love yourself, above all else, and you will understand how to love someone else. For if you can’t love even yourself, then how might another feel love from you and return that love in the same capacity?

For myself, I found this by gaining, at first, a basic understanding for the seven Chakras, and through a fundamental position of openness to the inner-light that is able to reflect in each of us, I have been able to create a position of happiness for myself through finding value in myself. This has led me to a position of building a life with someone that shared with me the strongest connection that I have ever had with another person, the love of my life.

As cliche as it sounds, “the Universe works in mysterious ways.” This is a statement that I have heard my entire life, which has, at many points, frustrated me, but gaining an understanding for the synchronicity that life has to offer, it has created an openness toward discovering my own spirituality and the positions of love that I have been able to emanate after having had locked it deep within myself. For me, this journey didn’t start with Chakras, but I have found, in studying them, an openness to the world around me that I truly don’t feel would have been available, had I not kept an open mind to the positions of spirituality that I discovered.

In this series, I wish to use my writing to show basic positions in life that we have all been through, as a means for hopefully leading to a path of self discovery. To fully understand the function, purpose, and position of Chakras, it would take someone twelve lifetimes, and I want to be clear, there are lots of resources and many, many ways to affect the Chakras, most of which won’t be found in this article, but I do hope that this is able to offer some guidance to understand the mindset of happiness and the dispositions that one might consider bringing forward for themselves, in order to achieve a greater level of openness to themselves. Hinduism is derived from the work written in Sanskrit, one of the oldest written languages in the world. According to Hinduism, the seven Chakras are “wheels of light,” and reign over various points in the body. According to Hinduism, imbalanced Chakras can create mental and physiological hindrances in the body, but also provides instructions for how to find proper balancing.

The forthcoming information will include steps that you can take to find balance in each Chakra, will include information about how to understand the placement of each Chakra, and will also include resources for being able to feel the structure of each Chakra, as it is placed in each of us. This will include examples for each position on the ladder, the modalities of food, techniques, and other such factors to attain balance, and will provide the additional information that will be able to help you to feel more in tune with the body, mind, and spirit. Should you have any questions

The First Step: Balancing, Spiritually Healing, and Being Grounded in Muladhara, the First Chakra

The Root Chakra gets its name from being the lowest of the seven Chakras, as it is present at the base of the spine, and is a feminine energy, because of its receptive nature for the influences that most deeply impact an individual. Known in Sanskrit as Muladhara, this Chakra is associated with the element of earth, because of its stature being ingrained in stability (or a lack thereof) and is associated with the Kundalini. This Root Chakra is associated with the skeletal structure, as well as the vertebral column and an individual’s legs and feet. In visualizing the ladder, this Chakra can be seen as the first rung, but can also be visualized as the frame of the ladder, itself. As is commonly known, this Chakra dictates our “fight or flight” response and is arguably the most important Chakra, because if it is not aligned and balanced, then it is such that none of the other Chakras can be properly balanced.

The root chakra is associated with one’s comfort zone. The larger the comfort zone is, the more hindering the root chakra is able to be. The things we most want and desire are outside of the span of our comfort zone and so it is such that when there is a hindrance for stepping outside of this self imposed chamber, stagnation is able to exist and it becomes increasingly challenging to step beyond the realm of that which we find to be comfortable. No one likes to be uncomfortable, but with practice, everything from public speaking to dancing silly, like no one else is watching, can become that extra special part of a person. When we are able to be passive to that which we want, in such a way that we are never willing to overcome the obstacles that stand in our way, we are able to find a greater struggle that tends to lead to missed opportunities which easily lends itself to regret.

The first Chakra governs personal stability and can manifest, when out of balance, insecurities that can be difficult to suppress. Insecurity is a position that allows us to take actions which are based out of fear, as opposed to logic and rationale. Feelings of insecurity and instability manifest by virtue of constant worry about finances, health, and positions found in the world that no single person can have control over. When great worry is felt and strife is imminent, this can create insecurities, which can lead to feelings of hopelessness, paranoia, and uproot the stance of fortitude that would otherwise be able to be created. Worrying if people are angry or upset with you, when nothing is wrong, is a great indication for insecurity, and very well could mean that the Root Chakra is out of balance.

Fear, uncertainty, and doubt is abundant in the world, but understanding the characteristics of fear, realizing that by virtue of the nature of life, itself, that its is uncertain, and seeing invalid doubt in oneself can help to overcome these positions. Making decisions out of irrational fear, as opposed to governing one’s life via logic, can create challenges that are so often able to hinder forward progress. For example, fear of leaving the house, getting on a plane, and going to a business meeting across the country, therefore deciding to cancel the trip altogether and risk losing one’s job, is an example of an irrational fear. Planning for the best and preparing for the worst is how one can find a greater balance, which is able to create a stronger mode of fortitude. Now, nervousness for how the meeting will go, if the plane will leave on time, and worrying about getting out the door with all the bags packed is a different kind of fear, as this is able to create a position of planning and due diligence, that can actually garner stability when actions are taken like making a checklist of the days you will be gone and detailing everything that will need to be packed for each day you’re away. This is where logical positions of worry can be overcame, whereas with illogical positions of fear can be more challenging, but recognizing this can be a wonderful first step in overcoming fear, uncertainty, and doubt.

Being able to recognize the things that one associates themselves with that create irrational fear can also help to recognize what work needs to be done can help to understand how to rectify imbalance that is created in the Root Chakra. If you consume a lot of news and begin to obtain a hopeless feeling as a result of what you are seeing, and you find yourself feeling fear, then this is something that can adversely affect the Root Chakra. Even something as simple as political debate can create stress in some individuals, therefore causing an illogical fear, because of the “argument” of two sides. It is far more difficult to choose a side to the argument that one is observing when the Root Chakra isn’t balanced, and can create something that is more destructive, as is the static nature of remembering that people were arguing about an issue, as opposed to having the greater security to research the issue to understand which side of the argument seems most appropriate.

It is safe to say that when we are personally insecure, it is difficult to keep a good handle on our financial stability. For some, fear of losing control over their finances is also a disabling factor for feeling balance in the Root Chakra. When financial instability is a factor, it creates stress, due to trying to have enough money for basic needs, like housing, food, and monthly bills. When one’s finances are able to go into a tailspin, it creates frustration, agitation, and fatigue. These are products of the generalized stress that is able to overcome the emotional stability that would otherwise be easier to calibrate. When such instability is present, it makes it difficult to focus on other matters, such as personal relationships, friends, family, etc., especially when this instability is kept on the inside, disabling a position that would allow it to be talked out. Being able to open up about challenges that are occurring financially can help to form a sense of evaluation, as opposed to feed into a nature of perpetual worry. Having a good support system, whether this stems from family, a significant other, or co-workers, is something that people inherently need. Other people can help to make us feel safe and can even offer solutions to problems that, otherwise, were unable to be thought of properly, because of fear stepping in the way.

Is My Root Chakra Balanced?

One simple question can provide a stronger understanding of issues that exist in the Root Chakra, which can more easily open the door toward understanding how the Root Chakra can be balanced and healed. Am I grounded? To be grounded means that you feel safe, secure, and can handle changes without intense anxiety or pressure. This is the most important position that a person can achieve, because without being in a grounded place, everything from poverty to riches can be drastically affected. Not being grounded can mean that you don’t feel safe in your own home and can dictate how you handle various situations in your life. Using a reasoned stance to create such improvements requires being completely and utterly honest with oneself, which can prove to be a challenge for many. Purposeful dishonesty, especially with oneself can be a sign of the Root Chakra being off balanced, especially when such dishonesty is for the sole purpose of trying to bring about a more grounded feeling in one’s life.Of course, this is far and away from a simple yes or no question, but this is to simply recognize if further investigation needs to be done.

14 Questions to Ask Yourself

1. Do you have everything you need to make life comfortable?

2. Are you financially stable?

3. Are you satisfied with your job?

4. Do you feel that you chose the right career for yourself?

5. Do you struggle living with everyday decisions?

6. Are your morals, ethics, and values strong?

7. Are you comfortable with your current living situation?

8. Do you feel connected to your environment?

9. Do you have a strong and satisfactory support system ingrained within you?

10. Do you have a strong and satisfactory support system in a coworkers, friends, a spouse, children, or other family

11. If you live away from family (especially those that may make you feel the most grounded), do you feel that your roots are strong enough to continue to feel a grounded stance from them while you’re away?

12. Do you feel that you can live anywhere that might interest you?

13. Do you have looming fears of death, stability and security, or a fear of losing someone you love (if there is no sign that they’re leaving this world anytime soon?

14. Do you feel as though you’re a great resource for instilling change, when it is time to go in a different direction (when it comes to spirituality, finances, love, career, and health)?

If you have answered “no” to any of the previous questions, it is very important that you allow yourself to take steps to rectify these positions, so that you can become grounded in every step of your life and to be able to become balanced in the next six Chakras. An imbalanced Chakra can be healed, if a clear understanding is gained for how such improvements need to be taken forward. Consult with a doctor or healthcare professional before attempting any changes to your diet, exercise, and other regimine.

7 Steps to Balance the Root Chakra

Step One: Ground Yourself in Your Environment

This article has talked a lot about the importance of being grounded, because this is the most important position when dealing with the nature of chakras so that the greater balances that are required for the chakras to work with the rest of the body can be harmoniously achieved. The more grounded you are in your immediate surroundings, by being near things that bring enjoyment to you, the easier it will be for how you will see things reaching a position for starting to ground yourself.

Step Two: Find the Best Ways for Yourself to Connect to the Earth

Taking a walk on unpaved paths, especially when you can do so, in such a way that it is comfortable to remove your shoes, can help to create a connection, even if small, to the earth. Gardening, planting seeds, and making sure that your hands interact with the soil, are ways that you are able to establish a more solid position of groundedness. Visualization of yourself being properly connected to the element of earth and even the earth itself and meditating on this visualization are other ways that you are capable of feeling this closeness to the earth, if you do not have proper access to a garden.

Step Three: Participate in Physical Activity that Doesn’t Leave You Feeling Overextended

The physical body is able to complete cycles of stress that manifests itself in a more physiological way, if the Root Chakra is balanced. Anything you can do to get the body moving and raising your heart rate with your legs and feet can tremendously add balance to the First Chakra. This can create a deeper interaction with yourself that allows you to compete with yourself, set fitness goals for yourself, and use this as an opportunity to gain a sense of self respect by virtue of building trust in yourself. When your body working to create a more significant disposition of health, this creates an opening for connecting to the deepest strengths of the Root Chakra.

Step Four: Pander to the Parts of Yourself that Construct Self-Reliance

So much of where our insecurities stem from are embedded in one’s inability to trust themselves. To counter this, reinforcing the belief that you are safe, secure, confident, and function with a steady hand is very important. Knowing that failure is only an ability to bring oneself to a point of seeing a new lesson that the Universe has played out, and learning that lesson when it is placed in front of you is also able to help with the means by which self-reliance is able to be successfully achieved.

Step Five: Know Your Innermost Dreams and Aspirations So that You Can Set Goals

Knowing your hopes, dreams, desires, and aspirations are all ways that you are able to help to guide yourself forward, which will give you moments of synchronicity, as you see that the Universe is capable of providing you with a deepened opportunity to establish yourself, providing you with what you need to meet those goals. This will help with the decisions that you make and will also help you to find the support system that is right for you, to be around other people that want you to succeed. Not establishing hopes and dreams can leave a person standing still, but with proper introspection to create such desire can then help to provide the proper stance of manifestation, which can enable the greater established purpose that you are able to gain. This is one of the major gifts of life, is its ability to provide us with that which we need and want. All we have to do is ask and then show the Universe that we are able to work toward gaining this greater initiative. Taking away the notion that a mistake has been made is another element of how you will be able to create a much stronger stance of purpose and fortitude. Understanding that the only limitations are the limitations that you place on yourself is something that is also able to create a bolstered position of openness to gaining a happier stance in life. Without this awareness, your decisions can be severely swayed by others, and this can take away the sense of individuality that is able to create the greater positions that will ultimately give you the power to decide your own direction, to be the author of your own story.

Step Six: Live by Fact, Not by Opinion

Part of developing confidence is set by the understanding of the importance of the opinion of others, when it comes to your own life. What an individual has to say, when it comes to the formation of opinions, is important, as it gives a basis for how we are able to use an opinion or information that isn’t our own to gauge a situation, to give it value. For example, just because someone may have taste for a particular brand of clothing, a particular style of music, or just because someone else loves the newest best-selling novel, this doesn’t mean that we should prevent ourselves from enjoying these things, just because someone else doesn’t. This can create missed opportunities in life, that enjoyment and pleasure stem from. With time, experience, and valued friendships, and individual will learn what their friends like and how they perceive the world, but going about living by virtue of what others think can be very debilitating in properly attaining the upper rungs on the ladder to happiness.

Step Seven: The Depth of Gratitude, the Height of Success, and “The Golden Rule”

Remembering, every day, to be grateful for what you have in your life, and finding opportunities to express gratitude for the moments of your life that have led you to where you are, and expressing “thanks” to the people in your life that have helped along the way can create a more solid position of success. For as deep as your gratitude is able to run, this will be able to help you to reach greater heights in your achievements. Being friends with people, not because of what they can do for us monetarily, but because of how we are able to see the value they bring in our lives can also help with how this greater stance of gratitude is able to be achieved. This is where understanding how others perceive us can be vital, as it is able to create a greater degree by which we can see the areas of our own lives that need work. Reputation can be important, if it is based on a fact based opinion, especially if someone’s opinion is able to share with us that Person X only wants to call when they want something or Person Y only calls when they have an experience to share without listening to a different story of an experience by the person that Person Y called in the first place. Being able to utilize “The Golden Rule” and to truly use the value of empathy, to contemplate how the individual that Person Y called perceived the conversation, without a skewed view can offer insight as to what steps Person Y would need to take on to be a better friend.

Mercury in Virgo:

At 10:37 PM, EST, on September 5th, Mercury moved into its exalted sign of Virgo. Mercury in Virgo is able to create a stance of fortitude when it comes to job creation, increased finances, and positions of openness to hard work, that will yield success. This time in the zodiac can provide stability in finances, especially when goals are created with the sole purpose of doing right by others, as opposed to striving to attain wealth for purposes that enable us to put ourselves above others. Being grounded during this time is of the utmost importance, especially when the beginning of this stride of Mercury can be met with a feeling of hopelessness and fear, which is brought about by a lack of stability. Understanding how to use one’s talents to overcome this stance is very important, when it comes to pulling oneself out of the void that can be felt during this time.

In the Tarot, the ten of disks represents the nature of Mercury in Virgo, which is the nature of wealth that can be obtained, when hypocrisy, ill-intent, and malice isn’t present. This is the capacity for the physical manifestation of finances to be obtained through hard work, dedication, and even joy in one’s work to emerge. Mercury in Virgo is a good sign of positive things to come when we do right by others over doing right by ourselves, as doing so can lead us to positions of strength that can manifest the goals that we most desire throughout the rest of the year.

For individuals that have Mercury in Virgo, hypocrisy can be imminent in this person's life, and great care must be taken, so as not to utilize a stance of greed, that disables greater positions in life, such as love, friendships, family, etc. to be foregone.

On August 13th, Mars continues its retrograde pattern, leaving Aquarius and entering the sign of Capricorn, which can create a destabilizing energy, but also forces each of us to create a specific action for ourselves, based on the lessons that we have learned since it began its retrograde period on June 26th. Staying where you have been is not feasible, as change is required, in order to achieve a greater point of understanding, but it is also important to understand the nature of how such changes can drastically impact the position of fortitude that might be desired, by virtue of seeming to create barriers and setbacks. Boundaries will have to be crossed, barriers broken, and even promises will have to go to the wayside, in order for this to be achieved.

The Planet Mars governs the stances of action and ambition, which can often be felt through means of arguments, fighting, and discord. This stance will continue to move in a retrograde motion until August 27th, at which point, Mars will begin a forward trajectory back through Capricorn and then will reach Aquarius, once again, on September 10th. If we are stubborn to the position of Mars in retrograde over the course of Capricorn, this can impact everything from work to relationships and can also create heartache, when it comes to how we feel that we need to proceed with our lives. The more openness that we are able to utilize, the easier it will be for us to recognize modes of forgiveness, which can help to establish a deeper point of empathy that we can use in the world around us.

Mars in Capricorn establishes a position of freedom, once it goes into a direct stance, and is symbolized by the three of disks in the tarot. This card shows the function of “works,” in the Thoth tarot, but it also shows the nature of how we are able to utilize a stance of freedom, through the means of overcoming challenges, by virtue of setting forth goals and a reasoned capability for bringing about a significant harmony, which can justify the boundaries and barriers that are meant to be broken in the retrograde movement. Utilize caution over this time, and don’t make any brash decisions, as this is able to complicate the positions that are able to, otherwise, create the momentum that we need to flourish and overcome the hindrances that we are seeking for ourselves.

For individuals that possess Mars in Capricorn in their birth chart, this can be a very challenging time, and can create an intensity that can be felt by those closest to them, especially those that may work for them in their jobs, or even spouses, children, etc. The more that an individual can understand the station of this in their birth chart, the easier it will be for them to recognize the means by which they must adhere to positions of strength, which can be felt in a less intense way. Forgiveness, empathy, virtue, etc. are all things that can be utilized to help with someone that has Mars in Capricorn at birth.

Please come by for a reading with me, if you find yourself feeling trapped by this energy. I have nearly 19 years of experience, and can help you to determine the best ways to navigate this challenging time.

Whatever the Sun’s sign might be, it is always the case that the new moon in that month will match the Sun sign, whereas the full moon will match the opposite sign. As the Sun is in Leo, the Full Moon of July will be in Aquarius, which is able to create strife, when it comes to a lack of fortitude and direction, especially for individuals born with their natal moon in Aquarius. This can create feelings of "futility," where it feels like the world is crashing down around you, with little to no hope of things ever being able to improve. This energy is especially prevalent in individuals that have their Sun sign in Aquarius, especially because of the double edged turbulence of the analytical mind fighting tooth and nail with the (often incorrect) intuitive stance that gives this position of failure, defeat, and strife. This hopelessness seems to wane throughout the year, providing a more hopeful endeavor throughout Leo, but with Mercury being in retrograde, I would certainly advise Aquarian Moon members to be cautious.

The seven of swords, in most tarot decks, show the nature of betrayal, deceit, but most importantly a secretive disposition, that enables the person represented in the reading. In the "Book of Thoth" written by Aleister Crowley, this card is shown as "futility," as the single word that is printed on the plate of the card. The top of the card shows a crescent moon, with the bottom of the card displaying the sign of Aquarius. As a reader, it took me a long time to fully understand this card, until being around individuals that had their Moon in Aquarius. I noticed that most months, when it comes time for the Moon to roll around into Aquarius, these individuals didn't want to get out of bed, and if they did, were mad, cranky, upset, sad, and bewildered by the sheer absurdity of life itself, feeling that things were never going to get better, that no matter what they did, no matter the situation, things were going to be challenging. This would come in waves, I noticed, where during parts of the day, things might be fine, but then later in the day, as things got to be more challenging, the moods and tempers would flare (especially in the two individuals that I know that have both the Moon and Sun in Aquarius).

I soon began to realize that the nature of "futility" that Crowley referred to with this card was the measure of the feelings that this Moon sign was able to possess, but by virtue of using carefully placed maneuvers to understand the position that would be able to create an out for themselves, this feeling of futility would be vanquished. This card is not a set stance, but rather shows the actions that one would be able to utilize, to help them to create a stronger position of openness to overcome the challenges that they were hindered by. Some people might refer to this card to someone attributed to thievery or stealing, but with the nature of the Moon in Aquarius, this is such that the analytical side of Aquarius, jaded by virtue of the Moon, is able to take a stance of not possessing the more analytical feature that would otherwise ring true with a Sun in Aquarius, which is typically a position of brilliance, and a reasonable standing of openness to logically understanding the ways of the world, often seeing the unjust nature of the world, doing what they feel can be done to right the wrongs they see. But with the Moon in Aquarius, the coin is flipped, thus providing a stance of feelings that are unjust being applied directly to themselves, feeling helpless to overcome this stance.

The energy  that a person with the Moon in Aquarius is able to feel is typically much more hopeful throughout the summer months, until October, when the energy finds itself being more challenging, but because of the Mercury Retrograde in the opposite sign of Leo, this is something that is able to create indifference, indecision, and a lack of fortitude, things that can tend to upset balance, especially if you are someone who has the Sun in Aquarius.

The Moon will enter into Aquarius on July 26th at 5:41 AM EST and will remain until the Moon finally enters into creative Pisces at 6:28 PM EST on July 29th, 2018.

If there is anything that I can do to help to assist with these energies or to shed more light on the challenges that can be faced during this time, do feel free to let me know.

On July 26th, Mercury moved into a retrograde motion appearing to move (but not really) backwards in the sky. This energy is particularly tumultuous while being in the sign of Leo, because of the position of arguing and fighting that this is able to create between two people. This energy is met with a stubbornness and impatience that is hard to bear, and is able to create tinges of jealousy, dysfunction, and disharmony. So much of this energy comes from the forwardness that Leo is able to bring about, which is marked in the Tarot as the Strength card, but with Mercury (the Magician) showing its darker side, this is able to thwart strength and bring forward stances of weakness.

Of course, the same rules apply to all things technology, travel, and communication being delayed, hindered, and met with misunderstandings, but an added degree of what this energy is able to create comes from the arguments that people would be able to have, as a result of technology being messed up, flights being delayed, cars breaking down, etc. Having a conscious awareness of this energy is able to help, to a degree, but remembering that there are things that occur that are beyond our control is certainly something that will want to  be paid attention to. With Mars in Aquarius, also in retrograde, this isn't going to create a positive start to this, which will also want to be taken into consideration. Appearances of strength will be seen by others as weakness, and when weakness is able to be hidden, typically, during this retrograde, it will develop a very stark vision for individuals to see through the facade that tries to mask this stance of weakness.

The more that we try to push something to happen during this time, the more it will backfire and blow up in our faces, especially when it comes to romantic connections. Finding a job during this time can actually be good for water and earth signs, but this is such that it would create disharmony in the workplace, because of a lack of a clear vision and direction from the employer. Remembering to go with the flow, to take deep breaths when things don't go how we need them to, and to be compassionate to others that we are able to see struggling during this time are ways that Mercury can be merciful in its lesser state of this retrograde.

Good luck and blessings to all of you during this time, and if there is anything that I can do to help you to cope with the challenges that this time in the Zodiac is able to create, feel free to let me know.

On July 10th at 2:32 AM, UTC, the Planet of Love, Venus, will be moving into Mutable Earth Sign Virgo and will remain in this position until August 6th, 2018, at which point it will move into Libra.

If you are born with Venus in Virgo, this time can be very beneficial for you, when it comes to your finances, as this will give you the opportunity to provide you with a grounded position that will enable you to analyze the steps and actions that would be required in order to build success. But when it comes to romance, this gives a very standoffish approach, especially when it comes to meeting new people. Met with hesitation, this sign is able to create a stance that removes all assumptions to create an understanding how any given circumstance would be able to help to benefit you. This can create, for others, an assumption of selfishness, but this is the hand you were dealt and those that most love you will understand that this is part of who you are, especially if you look to positions that enable a balance for doing for others (and doing unto others), but with the intention of them repaying the favor (as you would have them do unto you).

Mercury rules two signs of the Zodiac, Gemini and Virgo, and gives Gemini an ability to see the world in a more ethereal way, whereas for Virgo, it allows them to experience the world in a way that is far more grounded to earthly pleasures. Geminis can find themselves worrying about what might come after this life where Virgos take their primary concerns for what matters will impact them in this life. There are three cards in the Tarot that hold a bearing over this combination in the Zodiac, with the first two being the Empress and the Hermit. The Empress represents the Planet Venus and is the feminine sided position of love, whereas the Hermit (meaning introspection more than hermitage) is the nature of how one is able to view themselves. Virgos tend to check their own identity at the door and tend to take on the experiences, hobbies, and interests of those that they are closest to. But it is by their very nature that they are quick learners, often self-taught, and understand positions of this life that can help them get over one hurdle and onto the next. Virgos tend to lack the ability to filter through nuance, and need to see things in displayable terms that are spelled out, without much reading between the lines. This is important to consider, when trying to date a person that has Venus in Virgo, because of the ways that they need to adhere to a function of life that is grounded and rooted. The more they are able to feel that their senses are of this world, the easier of a time they have, when it comes to deepening their attraction and connection with a person.

The third tarot card is the nine of disks, which shows financial gain, and shows the stance of fortitude that is able to emerge, from hard work, but this comes at the cost of sacrifice, when it comes to what the individual that is working for the income is able to put aside, to bring about the monetary measure of success that is able to emerge. This card, although shows the ability for financial gain, is a difficult time, in terms of how Venus is able to take away from success of relationships forming during this time period in the Zodiac.

For individuals that don’t have Venus in Virgo, this time in the Zodiac can be very positive, for being able to find positions in business that need to be stabilized and stabilize them. This is also a positive time for bringing in new business, new customers, and starting a new business, as this is able to create a rooted position that can enable longevity with new startups and endeavors. Knowing how Venus is grounded in Earth, because of it being Taurus’s ruling Planet, can also help, when you take into consideration the grounded resolve that love has, for each of us, to be able to feel safe, secure, and stable, in any relationship. But taking a more selfish stance over this course of time is something that will be easier to do, than during other times in the Zodiac. But if you have Venus in Virgo, and you feel yourself being a bit more on the selfish side, this could explain why you take on this position, whereas others might not see the world in the same way that you do.

Mars, the Planet of War, has been moving itself through Aquarius since May 16th, but tomorrow, June 26th at 9:05 PM, UTC, Mars will shift gears and go retrograde until August 13th, 2018 at 2:14 AM, UTC. About once every two years, Mars goes into retrograde for about 7 weeks, and so it is a fairly rare occurrence. After all, the warrior always prefers a forward motion, marching onto war. Mars hasn’t been in retrograde during Aquarius since 1971, which was when the Pentagon Papers were published, which I am certain that it won’t be lost on anyone the parallels that are occurring now in the current state of things in the U.S.

Although it is known that Mars doesn’t enjoy going retrograde, it can create a position that is harmonious to the sign that it travels in, like Aquarius.

In the Tarot, Mars is represented by the Tower card, which on its surface shows destruction, but Mars can also be the position that rebuilds the Tower from its position of devastation. Aquarius is shown with the Star Card, and shows the clear vision of the direction that one should go in their path, but with this pairing Mars creates a positive fortitude that Aquarius might struggle to find, even in Mars taking its position in a retrograde status.

I hope you all have a great week, and I am looking forward to getting back to work on Saturday! TTYS!

The first day of summer approaches (winter for the Southern Hemisphere) and brings forth renewed endeavors for bringing life forward. In the Tarot, this is marked by the Chariot card, which is indicative of fortitude, victory, and new opportunities that enable long term goals to be reached. The Chariot also shows travel, planning, and free-will, but this is a card that carries a forward trajectory, where if we stop to see what is behind, we may just miss an opportunity to continue to carry ourselves to the more forward positions that we are seeking. The symbolism of the Chariot card is very alchemical (the changes that we make within ourselves), and shows the virtue of connectedness that we are able to achieve within ourselves, which, in turn, can help us to feel more connected to the outside world.

The charioteer moves himself away from the city, which can be seen behind him, and is representing the course of action that he takes, in order to truly find himself. Often times, the answers that we seek reside within ourselves, but if we fail to look within, it can be all the more challenging to see the beauty in the world around us. As such, Cancer provides a wonderful time for us to recognize how we are able to feel more connected to nature, but it is also able to bring about the stronger stance of openness to new thoughts, ideas, and new ways of progressing ourselves. When we look at our impact on the world, we are often able to find ourselves feeling stuck, but the influences that we adhere to can also provide greater answers to these questions. As a personal example of this, I watch the news in the background, most days, and have found myself feeling depressed, alone, and helpless in the world that I have been noticing. When habits form, it is even more challenging to break these habits, but as of today, I have decided to turn off the news, focus on myself, and use this as a means to provide a greater impact on others, to help others to find fortitude.

Nothing gives me more satisfaction in this life than being able to know that I have been able to have a positive impact on the world around me. My reach around the world has become more apparent to me as I speak with my clients from several different countries, that serve as a reminder to me that, no matter our culture, our upbringing, and our ways of life, we are all very much one in the same. I always strive to connect as deeply as I can with anyone that I speak with, so that they might be able to gain more clarity on what aspects of life are affecting them in such a way that it holds them back from bringing themselves to the forward positions of their lives. The Chariot card, in the new tarot deck that I have been working on, is going to be called the Merkaba. This is in conjunction with the seven chakras (chakra means “wheels of light”), and is indicative of how we are able to find ourselves connected to the earth, from the first chakra, all the way to our spirituality through the seventh chakra. The more that we are able to connect to ourselves, the more we are able to apply empathy to the world around us. For many, this can be challenging, but empathy is naught but the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This is meant not only to show a roadmap for kindness, as kindness isn’t everything involved with empathy, but it is also where we are able to understand that, for as similar as we all are, we all have our differences. Acceptance for other people being different than we ourselves are is important to the nature of life. There is a stance of cultural relativism that comes from this, but it is also not, in its deepest essence, a stance of cultural relativism. There are things in life that we should just not accept, like murder, pulling scared children from their parents, or demonizing a group of people because their ways might be different from our own. “To each his own,” is a wonderful stance in life, but not at the cost of hurting or harming another person. What an individual or group does, says, or adheres to religiously, culturally, etc. should bear no impact on us, that we might take offense to something that doesn’t play physical harm over us.

What one person might call “sinful,” to another may bring about the deepest stance of love or spirituality. This is what makes us individuals and unique, and when we choose a path of acceptance, this is able to create a greater degree of love for humanity, when we don’t demonize positions of someone else’s experience. Being born in the United States, and having great great-grandparents that came from France to pursue a better life, I am often reminded of the privilege that I have for being part of a society that gives me the freedom to pursue my hopes and dreams without having to travel to far off lands, in pursuit of happiness, as this is granted to me by virtue of having had been born here. The Chariot card very much goes with this pursuit, and shows the fortitude of mankind. I am grateful each and every day for this, but it is not lost on me how many people, in pursuit of something greater than themselves, find nothing but hurdles and hindrances to get somewhere that I was most fortunate to have been born into. The Chariot is more than fortitude, as it shows the ways that we all endeavor to achieve something that is greater than ourselves, even if we feel lost along the way. Never let someone hold you back from who you want to be, and always know that if what you pursue feels right for you and is not in direct harm of someone else, then that is truly worth fighting for.

On June 12th at 4:00 PM EST Mercury will move out of its dignified position of Gemini into the neighboring position of Cancer. Where Mercury is comfortable ruling over Gemini, it creates hindrances in communication for the position of Cancer, due to the emotional qualities that it must adhere to, as opposed to positions of logic, but this combination has the ability to make any Gemini, Cancer, or Leo all the more perceptive to the emotions in the world around them. Mercury in Cancer can provide a desire for being in a group, especially when that group is capable of accomplishment that would warrant celebration. Throughout the life of an individual with Mercury in Cancer, they gather information and understand it, by virtue of experience, trial, and error, instinctively, which creates added depth to their intuition. This is perhaps the most emotional placement of Mercury, even more so than Mercury in Scorpio or Mercury in Pisces. This enables communication that is often simplified, which connects to the emotions of others.

The Zodiac sign of Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon, creates instinctive and intuitive positions for individuals’ whose planets, the sun, and especially the moon fall into the purview of Cancer. To understand the significance of intuition and instinct in the context of Mercury in Cancer, once must first understand the difference between instinct and intuition. Instinct comes from that which is engrained or inherent to a person’s experiences that lead to a conscious course of decision making. Intuition is an inherent ability to gain understanding from the world around them without conscious reasoning. The determination as to whether an individual is able to use intuition, instinct, or both as a means for receiving and sending information and communication is contingent on the three sun signs that are possible while Mercury is traveling throughout Cancer. For an individual with the Sun in Gemini, the duality of Gemini creates an easier path for an individual to utilize both instinct and intuition. A Sun in Gemini’s position for connecting to someone else’s emotions with communication, taking on a more intuitive approach, often leads the Gemini to a position of always feeling that their world view is correct, even though it tends to breathe hypocrisy if this trait isn’t repressed by the understanding, instinctively, that others’ are able to view this stance of hypocrisy. A Sun in Cancer’s position for connecting to someone else’s emotions with communication occurs most intuitively, and can lead to misunderstandings, often created by a lack of actual knowledge for what another person might actually be feeling, thus diminishing the concise nature of communication that a Gemini would possess. Because a person with the Sun in Cancer has traits that enable them to only view the world as they see it, Mercury in Cancer can often create challenges in utilizing empathy that would be required to put themselves in another person’s shoes. An individual with the Sun in Leo and Mercury in Cancer is able to use a more instinctive approach, which is built over time by virtue of their own experiences. This helps to create a greater course of empathy than an individual with the Sun in Cancer would possess.

In Tarot, the Three of Cups represents Mercury in Cancer, and is indicative of the abundance that life has to offer, especially when sharing life with friends and family. This card is inherent to the creative endeavors of an individual that are capable of providing success, increased finances, and the need for fulfillment in life that can be celebrated. When there is too much of an attachment to finances, then this position of Mercury is able to create hindrances to the individual, especially later in life, but if balance is kept and creativity is utilized for the benefit of other, then financial success is more easily maintained later in life. Love comes easily for individuals with this combination, especially when being able to connect to the individual that they are expressing love towards in a way that allows mutuality.

Mercury is considered “dignified” when its placement is in Gemini, one of the two signs of the Zodiac that it rules (the other is Virgo). This energy is fast moving with ideas, communication, and the speed of life. During this transit, blink and you might just miss it. This hasted position creates strong starts with terrible finishes, meaning the resolve for starting a project comes on strong, but the motivation for finishing can be more challenging, because of the ways that Mercury moves quickly, from idea to idea, mangling good intentions for projects, causing them to be placed on the back burner, until more stability transpires. This transit is most important, though, for the materialization of thoughts and ideas that create projects that are able to be utilized in a long term capacity. A desire for making new connections personally and in business is felt strongly during this transit, with the intention for discovering new thoughts and ideas in a creative way. Music, art, writing, etc. is particularly important during this transit, when focus can be applied. A level of pickiness also exists in this transit, as sometimes the particulars of the small details are paid more attention to than that of the bigger picture of any project that emerges.

In Roman mythology, Mercury, the messenger, was the god of commerce, merchants, travelers, luck, financial gain, but the shadowed side of him ruled over tricksters and thieves. When working with his lighter side, communication forms honest endeavor, understanding, and weaves through the mechanisms that allows one to see things in such a way that other might have difficulties with. The darker side of him thrives on gossip, rumors, and other misinformation, to create a stance of difficulty for those that aren’t liken to his capacities (those with Mercury in other signs, especially water signs and earth signs can be subject to his trickery while he is dignified in the placement of Gemini). In the Tarot, Mercury is represented with the Magician (Magus) card, whereas Gemini is represented by the Lovers card. Where the Magician has a light and dark side, it is very prominent with its stance in intelligent matters, wisdom, and fortitude, as its position tends to create quickness in a non-subtle way. The Lovers card is very indicative of Gemini, because of the representation of duality that this shows, giving Mercury (or the Magician) the ability to equally see both sides of the same coin. As such, the Sun in Gemini is represented by the ten of swords, not a great card on its face, but this card does show that if balance is found, if hypocrisy is not played into, and if the desire for justice in the Universe is present, then the course of action brings about the new day that emerges, creating a transformation from the “old self” to the “new self.” The position of the shadowed side of Mercury nature comes from a stance of boredom, where not being challenged through means of that which is intellectual can destructive. Continuing to find stimulation intellectually is very important, so as not to give into a path that can be deemed less savory.

Mercury is the Sun’s passenger, as it is not only the closest Planet to the Sun, but it is also the pendulum of the big clock in the sky. It is only possible for Mercury to be one Zodiac Sign away from the Sun, which means that if you have Mercury in Gemini, you have the Sun in Taurus, the Sun in Gemini, or the Sun in Cancer. If you are a Taurus, Mercury in Gemini can remove some of the stubbornness that is associated with the Bull Sign of Taurus, as you are able to find it easier to see all angles of any situation. This makes it easier for you to communicate with others, without holding onto your positions in lieu of finding a different mechanism for bringing problem solving to the table. This can also make you more social, more open to suggestion, and more apt for finding solutions that derive from your own perspective in conjunction with the ideas from others. If you are a Gemini with Mercury in Gemini, this is able to add superficiality to the mix for yourself, creating a potential for frustration when refinery is not used in elements of life that interest you, from art and music to business and commerce. This does, however, open up your ability to understand the nature of duality more than most, which can be very helpful in creating open-mindedness. Boredom, however, can create a very destructive mindset that is best to be avoided, because of the ways that this can create isolationism and a stance of self-oppression, especially when it comes to feeling guilt from religious positions and family matters. The Sun in Cancer with Mercury in Gemini can be very blessed, because of the stance of fortitude that this is able to carry forward when it comes to recognizing that you are being held back by your own emotions. Recognizing when you are feeling held back, emotionally, can be challenging for Cancerian people, but with Mercury in Gemini, this allows for a deeper assessment to come forward, when it comes to recognizing the ways that you are able to find a stronger resolve for understanding why you are feeling the way that you are, especially when those feelings tend to be more overwhelming.

Mercury will enter into Gemini onMay 29th. 2018 7:49 PM EST and will remain until June 12th, 2018 3:59 PM EST

The Planet Mercury, which governs communication and rules over Gemini and Virgo, will be heading into Taurus on the 13th of May, after a fiery run through Aries, until May 29th, at which point in time it will enter into Gemini. If you were born during a time which Mercury was moving through Taurus, it is very likely that you are able to find yourself worrying about the smaller things in life, that you are able to relate to bigger positions in life that others might have a difficult time seeing. If someone were to say to you “don’t sweat the small stuff, it’s all small stuff,” it is likely that you would fundamentally disagree, because of how you are able to see that the “devil is in the details.” The worry that you are able to feel over the trouble that you find in reaching a decision is typically able to be masked easier, if you were born with Mercury in Taurus while Mercury was in retrograde, leading some to mistake the contemplative positions that you are able to find yourself analyzing with laziness, but given time, the decisions that you make in life are able to be well thought out and carry you towards a position of deliberation with yourself, that causes you to connect the decisions that you have already made with the decisions that have yet to be made.

During Mercury in Aries, challenges in communication are all too easy to encounter, specifically because of it creates, in a less than virtuous way, and ability to speak before thinking. During Mercury’s time through Taurus, it is such that just abrupt of language, connotation, and innuendo can be applied, but it tends to be better thought out before actually speaking aloud, which certainly creates less offense from someone that we might be trying to communicate with. As such, Mercury in Taurus can also create a stronger disposition for collaboration if the precedent for such collaboration is set in a common interest in achieving the same goal. For issues of pride and ego, Mercury in Taurus can certainly create a more challenging position for such collaboration, if the needs of the individual are set before the goal of the collaboration.

In tarot, the five of disks is a less than desirable card, as it is able to pertain to the loss of money, but this loss of money tends to go hand in hand with the position of the thought processes that are able to go into business, which create a resolve for bettering a system, platform, etc., thus creating a shift of modality. This pertains to the nature of “worry” that is shown on the plate of the five of disks in the Thoth Tarot Deck, where it is not an actual dissipation of wealth, but it the structure of thought, planning, and then implemented fortitude towards a new idea or direction, where if executed properly, will lead to the nature of success that is able to come about, as a result of this. Sometimes this endeavor might even seem to be inaction with no purpose, but it is the purpose of the thought or idea itself, which creates a deepened understanding for the entirety of the thought or idea before implementing the changes that would ensue. Examples of this would be in thinking about every aspect of building a new website before finally getting started on it or pondering the complete layout of a garden prior to ever beginning to till the first section of the garden itself.

The five of disks is given the position of “worry,” specifically because of how worry is able to so easily rest upon the shoulders of individuals that possess Mercury in Taurus at the time of their birth. Sometimes, it is best to leave the worrying to someone else, certainly, but to leave the worrying to someone with Mercury in Taurus is to put a problem into the hands of a bona fide problem solver. Complexity can be the essential component of the position of someone whose Planet Mercury is in Taurus, but given time, this complexity is able to be explained and conveyed in a comprehensive way.

The Moon in Aries can be quite vibrantly quite, exhilaratingly brash, and evenly moody. As a Gemini whose Moon sign is in Aries, I am very much aware of the pull of energy that is able to exist with this all too often incompatible duo astrologically. This has a fiery burst of fortitude that is put out by obstacles, struggles, but also by creating difficult transformations that, if defied, only stand to create disharmony, especially during the New Moon in Aries, as the one occurring at this time is.

This combination of cards would be the depiction of the Moon in Aries. As with other combinations of signs in cards, like the seven of swords representing the Moon in Aquarius, Aleister Crowley, the author of "The Book of Thoth," doesn't have a combination in any one card specifically for the Moon in Aries.
\
In taking the meanings of the Moon card, especially with the implications of a difficult time ahead that is most necessary ("the passage of darkness that must be traveled through") for creating strength and fortitude (in order to see the light") and looking at the nature of conquest, strife, and victory all wrapped up into one card, the Moon  card would represent the strife.

With the current nature of the New Moon in Aries, we have the energy of the Moon that is able to come across as passive, and Aries, which can be quite aggressive. For myself, I have tried to defy the nature of passive aggressiveness, but for about 2.5 days of every month (ESPECIALLY with the New Moon in Aries), passive-aggressiveness aggregates. Some of the most mysterious things in my life have also occurred while the Moon has been in Aries, but this energy allows me, personally, to hone in on what the cause of the said mystery was, as opposed to the effect.

During the timing of the New Moon in Aries, Aries Sun Signs will have a much better position of forwardness, and will not be as interrupted by the nature of the Moon in terms of passiveness. The subconscious will dictate the Aries emotions, which will create the forwardness of their actions. The negative stance of individuals with the Moon in Aries comes from the inherent restlessness, which can create difficulties in their emotions, but the best way to deal with someone who has the Moon in Aries, is to let them deal with their struggles by themselves during this time.

Taking the time to be mindful for how to care about how one's actions will effect someone else, will be very important for the ways that this will come forward to a more positive stance.

The Moon entered into Aries Apr 13, 2018 11:25 PM and will remain until the Moon enters into grounded Taurus on Apr 16, 2018 4:51 AM. The next time the Moon will be in Aries will be on May 11, 2018 8:40 PM and will remain until May 13, 2018 2:15 PM.

The Moon in Aquarius can be a very tumultuous sign, especially for people that specifically have their Moon sign as Aquarius. This can create feelings of "futility," where it feels like the world is crashing down around you, with little to no hope of things ever being able to improve. This energy is especially prevalent in individuals that have their Sun sign in Aquarius, especially because of the double edged turbulence of the analytical mind fighting tooth and nail with the (often incorrect) intuitive stance, that gives this position of failure, defeat, and strife.

This card is not a set stance, but rather shows the actions that one would be able to utilize, to help themselves to create a stronger position of openness to overcome the challenges that they were hindered by.

The Moon entered into Aquarius on April 9th, 2018 at 2:50 AM, EST and will remain until the Moon finally enters into creative Pisces at 2:40 AM, EST on April 11th, 2018. The next time that the Moon will be in Aquarius will be on May 6th, 2018 at 10:48 AM and will remain until May 8th, 2018 at 11:10 PM.
