Monthly Tarot forecasts can assist you in navigating the ups and downs of the days ahead with insight and grace. I pull a card for each week with the intention that this card will represent the energies that need to be worked with both personally and globally. Obviously, everyone may experience the card differently, but keep the archetype and energy in mind as the month unfolds.<\/p>\n

Week 1 (December 1-10): Queen of Discs<\/a> (Coins, Pentacles)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week finds us needing to cultivate the earthy wisdom and power of the Queen of Discs. She is a major manifestor, and this makes her a perfect energy to embody in the time leading up to the holidays. This Queen also is very aware of the importance of gratitude for our abundance of food, love, friends and family. She is aware that nothing is ever lacking, and there is always enough. The holiday season often makes us stressed, and we feel compelled to spend money we don\u2019t have. This Queen advises us that we don\u2019t need to spend money in order to connect and gather our loved ones. Instead, we are encouraged to get outdoors and savor the season, whether that\u2019s snow and bare trees or a palm-filled, sunny sky. Nature is a reflection of our true selves, and the Queen asks us to remember this when we feel \u201cpoor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Week 2 (December 11-17): Seven of Discs<\/a> (Reversed)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This card is all about waiting, but this can be a frustrating exercise. The best approach is to trust that the check is in the mail, that there will be enough, and that our labors will bear fruit eventually. The reversed nature of this cards suggests that this struggle may focus more on internal issues or qualities than external ones\u2014perhaps it is our limiting beliefs of poverty consciousness that we\u2019ve been hoping to change, only to find ourselves confronted with them again. Keep up the good work, and take this time to rest and know that the fruit is ripening. In this busy season, it is good to move more slowly if we can and to continue following the advice of the Queen of Discs: to own our innate abundance and take time to reflect in nature.<\/p>\n

Week 3 (December 18-24): The Sun XIX<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

A perfect card for the week of the Winter Solstice, the Sun reminds us to return to the childlike state of wonder with which we used to view the holiday season. Making snow angels, waiting for Santa, lighting candles in a religious festival\u2014all these used to imbue the season with wonder and anticipation. Can we reclaim this for ourselves? The Sun suggests that we can, and this week can be festive, joyous, and fun if we return to that place of childlike glee. We have made it again to the shortest day, and the light will return.<\/p>\n

Week 4 (December 25-31): Ten of Wands<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t take on too much this week. Whether that is emotional, financial, or just excess food or drink, the Ten of Wands warns that there can be too much of a good thing. We\u2019ve been on a high since before Thanksgiving, chomping at the bit to take action, move forward, and get it all done. And perhaps we\u2019ve been successful; yet, there is a need to let go at the end of the year, to release what isn\u2019t necessary and stop carrying the emotional burdens that hold us back. Time with family often highlights this emotional baggage, and the message of this card is to avoid carrying anything into the new year that we don\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n

Putting It All Together<\/strong><\/p>\n

All in all, it will be a great month if we can remember the true spirit of the holidays and find our abundance in love, family, friends, and Nature. We\u2019ll be on a high of festivity by the end of the 24th, and it\u2019s easy to crash and take on too much in the last days of the year. It\u2019s time to focus on what\u2019s right rather than what\u2019s wrong, and to trust in our power to create as we let our inner child out to play.<\/p>\n
