\u201cWhy would you want me to do that?\u201d I asked her. I \u00a0knew, of course, that she wanted me to prove my ability\u2014or what she would consider psychic ability, but I wanted her<\/em> to say it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you are supposed to be able to know stuff. Then I\u2019ll know you are for real.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIsabelle, is this the most important issue you want to address today? Is this why you called? Do you need to make contact with this departed pet<\/a>?\u201d I smiled so she\u2019d hear that I was gently teasing her.<\/p>\n

Isabelle laughed. \u201cOf course not, I\u2019m just, you know, nervous. What if you are a scammer? I mean, no offense, but…\u201d<\/p>\n
