One of the questions I often get asked from my clients is, how do you ignite your passions for work, life, romance, etc.? People feel like their lives have gotten dull and boring and they don\u2019t know what to do next. If you wish to ignite your passion for anything, follow these simple rules:<\/p>\n

1. Know That You Are Worthy <\/b><\/p>\n

Tell yourself that you are worthy of love, success, financial security, and everything. One of the worst habits you can have is feeling unworthy or that you are worthless. Remember that you are who you are, and that you are special.<\/p>\n

For example, I had a customer tell me that she didn\u2019t know what to do. She said she failed at finding a new job, failed at a romance, and that she just wasn\u2019t good enough for anything. A simple reading told me that she was worthy; she had skills and experience that others around her simply didn\u2019t have. I told her that she should use those skills to change her life in ways that she hadn\u2019t thought of yet. We talked for quite a while about how to change, and the next time I spoke with her, she told me that she had found the perfect job, the perfect romance, and was completely happy! Simply by turning her mind around from \u201ccouldn\u2019t\u201d to \u201ccould\u201d allowed this to happen.<\/p>\n

2. Take a Break<\/b><\/p>\n

We are too caught up in our lives with work, family, romance, and everything else going on. We don\u2019t end up taking time for ourselves. This, to me, is one of the biggest problems that keeps us from igniting our passions. If all we do is pay attention to others, whether it be family or co-workers, how are we supposed to pay attention to ourselves?<\/p>\n

Take a few minutes a day to just think about yourself. Heck, take a day or week, if you can, to do something for yourself. Try going out for coffee or spending time on the phone talking to a friend. YOU need this. YOU deserve this. It will help YOU ignite your passions in life. This will let you feel more connected to yourself.<\/p>\n

3. Surround Yourself with Positivity<\/b><\/p>\n

Remove the negativity as much as possible from your life. We all have someone at work who is a \u201cDebbie Downer.\u201d Don\u2019t let this person make you their victim. That is what she\/he is doing, victimizing everyone else. While sometimes people do have things happen to them, if it is the same person all the time, remove them from your life. Don\u2019t hang out with them; find someone who is happy and cheerful and start talking to them instead. Happiness breeds happiness, and the more you are with people who are happy and content, the better off you are.<\/p>\n

Now, does this mean that you must ignore the \u201cDebbie Downer?\u201d No. Simply acknowledge them, say hello, and then don\u2019t linger. Don\u2019t let them drag you down with them.<\/p>\n

4. Focus on Your Strengths<\/b><\/p>\n

All of us have strengths and things that we do better than others. Acknowledge that! Use your strengths to help you build a better life, a better job, a better goal. If you are a good writer, use your ability to write to do something different. Perhaps you can help tutor at a local school or write copy for a local paper for extra money. Both things will help you get back to feeling passionate about your life. You will get kudos (and good karma!) for doing them. Don\u2019t focus on what you CAN\u2019T do, focus on what you CAN do.<\/p>\n

Making these changes can help you live a better, fuller, more passionate life. You will feel reborn and ready for anything you want to do. It won\u2019t come immediately, but continue to try to keep these things happening in your life. One day you will look at yourself and realize your passion is back!<\/p>\n
