We hear a lot of talk about soulmates – finding them, recognizing them, and loving them. We all look to have that perfect special someone to spend our lives with, but as many know; finding a soulmate isn\u2019t so simple. To complicate matters even more, there is also the concept of twin flames. While both terms are often used interchangeably, according to Laura Hamilton from psychicuniverse.com, there are actually significant differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what exactly is the difference between soulmates and twin flames?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defining Soulmates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Looking at the word \u2018soulmate\u2019 itself gives us some clues, namely the words \u2018soul\u2019 and \u2018mate.\u2019 The definition of \u2018soul\u2019 is your spirit or the eternal part of you. But when we look at the word \u2018mate\u2019 things get a bit interesting. A mate can be defined as several things – a mate can be a marriage partner, friend, worker, or mutual counterpart.
