Today everyone is talking about the coronavirus, reading in different places how it can be contracted, and hearing about different precautions people need to take.  All these points are valid.  They are valid because we need to be educated and take care of ourselves.  Yes, it\u2019s important too, to know about these two things.  Because the coronavirus is a very serious illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another serious matter is to not let all the hype and panic (that some of us may feel) get the best of us.  Being educated on how to protect ourselves is needed.  But we cannot let fear consume us.  We have to stay motivated.  Continue to have hope.  Have to use our free will and make good decisions.  Must trust in God and know we are going to taken care of us no matter what. Negativity cannot get the best of us.  Instead, use Creative Visualization (CV) to achieve your goals and keep you motivated.  These tools will help to stay focused teaching us to take care of ourselves thus, filtering negative thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Creative Visualization?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever wanted something so bad and did not know where to start?  One suggestion is, use creative visualization. Wikipedia.com says, \u201cCreative Visualization (CV) is the cognitive process of purposefully generating visual, mental imagery, with eyes open or closed, simulating or recreating visual perception, in order to maintain, inspect, and transform those images, consequently modifying their associated emotions or feelings, with intent to experience a subsequent beneficial physiological, psychological, or social effect, such as expediting the healing of wounds to the body, minimizing physical pain, alleviating psychological pain including anxiety, sadness, and low mood, improving self-esteem or self-confidence, and enhancing the capacity to cope when interacting with others.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simplified, a person can use CV to create and believe whatever they want. A person can choose to use creative visualization to better their lives spiritually, emotionally, mentally, or physically. This process is supposed to be something good for our lives and to help us become better people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative Visualization (CV) was developed by Shakti Gawain.  Ms. Gawain explains \u201cThe most important thing to remember is to use creative visualization often, to make it a regular part of your life. Most people seem to find that it works best to practice it at least a little every day, especially when they are first learning.\u201d Personally, I use creative visualization every day. I make a schedule.  In my schedule I make time for reading, writing down my goals, meditating on my goals and thinking about what the most important in my life for the next step. I have been doing this for years. I practice this in my everyday life.  It has helped me stay balanced and focused. Importance of Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The next step is to talk about goals.  The key to goals is motivation.  Human motivation comes from how we think and how we feel. This process comes from either the mind or the heart. Our desires come from our hearts. Then our minds help us to formulate a plan to carry out these desires.  However, both need to be aligned and in agreement with each other.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Psychology\nToday, \u201cMotivation\nis literally the desire to do things. It’s the difference between waking up\nbefore dawn to pound the pavement and laying around the house all day. Motivation\nis a crucial element in setting and attaining goals\u2014and research shows it can\ninfluence a person\u2019s own levels of motivation and self-control. So figure out\nwhat you want, power through the pain period, and start being who you want to\nbe.\u201d  To motivate ourselves we have to\nbelieve it, dream it, and then start seeing it. \nIf we can believe all these three things then what we imagine can become\na reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use Your Imagination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Motivation and Creative\nVisualization are similar to each other. \nMotivation invites us to feel by having a desire.  Creative Visualization invites us to think by\nusing our imagination.  If we decide to\nfeel motivation by wanting something we desire and then think about how we are\ngoing to attain that by using our imaginations, we can achieve a goal.  Both of these things must be done on a daily\nbasis and regularly. We ourselves must feel and think we can achieve whatever\nwe set our hearts and minds to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative visualization is a process a person can use every day to help them achieve whatever they want. Motivation has to be part of this process. It allows us to use our free will and choose what we want to do to better our lives and achieve our goals. All these three things are important as they are part of self-care to help us become better people so we can serve others. On a personal note, I have a story to tell about a person who used creative visualization and motivation to better their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, we are being told daily about the coronavirus and the effects it is having on our community.  It is important to stay informed and protect ourselves.  It is also important to not let panic take over.  Fear cannot drive who we are as people.  God is in charge.  We have to have hope and remain positive. A solution is to stay motivated and use Creative Visualization to keep us focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
