2. Sedona, Arizona<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Sedona to take in all of its natural beauty, but there\u2019s another reason why this desert town draws people from around the world: the vortex. According to a Native American legend, there\u2019s a sweet spot in the area where the earth\u2019s energy is exceptionally concentrated. This concept received a lot of attention back in 1987 when thousands of supporters assembled in Sedona for the Harmonic Convergence, the world\u2019s first synchronized global peace meditation. Around the same time, there was a rare alignment of planets in the Solar System \u2014 one that only occurs once every ten thousand years. During this moment, an aura of spirit energy surrounds the earth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was because of this moment back in 1987 that people began to develop a profound, astral connection to the famous red rock formations. 3. Lily Dale, New York<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lily Dale was incorporated in 1879 as Cassadaga Lake Free Association. The goal was to be a gathering place and camp for spiritualists and freethinkers. Interestingly enough, there\u2019s a Cassadada, Florida connection. In 1894, a group of representatives from Lily Dale went to visit Colby on his turf. Impressed by what they saw, they helped him turn Cassadada into \u201cthe oldest active religious community in the Southeast.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cassadaga Lake Free Association eventually went by the name Lily Dale Assembly in 1906, but despite a name change, the purpose of the camp remained the same. Finding themselves in a world utterly different from where they came from, the Africans fused their religious rituals and traditions with Louisiana\u2019s local Catholic population. This hybrid is known as Voodoo-Catholicism, a unique religion linked to nature, spirits, and family from the past.
